Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The service was rather unfriendly and inattentive, and the food was mediocre and completely overpriced.

Actually a great restaurant – we weren't treated very kindly, and the side salad was simply left out… I wonder if that was because of the kids? 🤔 €240 for empty plates with not so good service… probably not again! But it was delicious.

Come on, I'll just say, well, okay. The food was okay. The salad with the meal for 4 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 almost-babies was completely forgotten. 225 euros for a little food, 2 bottles of water, a glass of wine, and ouzo. So, there are definitely better options, and you don't have to look far. At the end, when I got the bill, I asked where the salad was and was told, "Next time, you'll get one." Didn't you get it? 🤣 BYE

I was there for lunch. 13.90 for a sea bream fillet with salad, a modest portion, rather unloving, and tasteless. The waiter, unfortunately, wasn't a highlight either. Stained shirt, greasy hair, apron tucked under his overhanging belly. That's not exactly well-groomed. Looking at the corner where I was sitting, I wouldn't want to see the kitchen.

Good Greek food in an upscale setting. My meat was cooked to perfection, and the feta cheese made for a wonderful taste experience. Only the potato chips were a bit uninspired and bland for me. The winter garden is very comfortable, though, and the service was friendly.

We've been to Taverna Toxotis many times in the past and always appreciated the restaurant for its good food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, our last visit was a disappointment. When we arrived around 8:30 p.m., many tables were free. Since the windows were wide open and it was a bit chilly, we asked for a table in a warmer area. There were several free tables that could have accommodated our request. However, the waiter was unwilling to assign us one of these tables. We understand that there are sometimes restrictions, but the lack of compromise was very disappointing. We left disappointed and ate elsewhere. Despite our good past experiences, this unfortunately leaves a bad taste in our mouths.

It was delicious, but also a bit on the higher end of the price range.

What can I say? I'm still speechless. Admittedly, I like spending money on food. More than that, too. But then at least one of two criteria has to be met: quality or quantity. Unfortunately, there's neither one nor the other here. For an appetizer, for over €20, an octopus arm, halved, overcooked, and tough. For the main course, three careless lamb fillets with three or four halved potatoes, each served on a separate plate. Oh yes, a quarter of a lemon was included with the lamb fillet. Assembling, dressing, and presentation: nonexistent. Very important: whether it's an appetizer or a main course, the main thing is olive oil. I'm still annoyed that I didn't take a photo of this careless meal. No one would believe it. My wife had overcooked salmon with four more boiled potatoes. Also dipped in oil. The food didn't taste bad, but that wouldn't be right to say so. But the chef either had no talent, no desire, or was having an incredibly bad day. Plus two bottles of water and two apple spritzers. And all that for a whopping €130. I'm still stunned. As for the waiters: there were a few nice ones. But also a few who were in the wrong category. Hence, two stars. In short: this was the first and certainly last time.

It's like being on vacation. Delicious food and very friendly service. While the value for money is debatable, it's ultimately average, right up there with the average restaurant prices these days.

The price was clearly inflated for such a simple dish. What was particularly negative was that no dips or sauces were served with it. Upon request, we were offered some tzatziki – which was then charged a hefty €7.50 extra. For a Greek restaurant, the value for money and service were disappointing. We won't be going back.

Unfortunately, the prices are relatively high, especially for the portion size. I paid €10 for a starter that ended up being a tiny feta in oil. There weren't even any side dishes. Furthermore, the service was unfortunately poor. I don't understand the good reviews here. Another note: if you're looking for vegetarian dishes, you've come to the wrong place. There's nothing of the sort in the main courses.

THEY'RE GETTING A CAT IN A HARE. A rip-off. I'm Basque, I love fish, and if I know anything, it's tuna. I visited twice last week. The first time, I ordered rare tuna, which was delicious. At the end of the week, I encouraged all my coworkers to come back for dinner, the famous tuna I'd enjoyed so much a few days before. By the way. Not cheap at all. When they brought it to us, I was stunned. I asked to see the fish. They took me to the kitchen. The waiter argued with the cooks in Greek, and they brought me a raw fillet of the same fish. I asked to see the whole fish, and they told me it wasn't possible. They served us frozen swordfish for the price of bluefin tuna. The cheeky waiter had the nerve to bring me a label, which obviously didn't correspond to the product served, trying to convince us of something it wasn't. The situation was bordering on ridiculous. No discussion. We paid and left. But never again. It's a shame I didn't take photos of both dishes so you could judge for yourself. If you want to pay for something that isn't yours, go to this restaurant.

I had the opportunity to eat in this restaurant on several evenings, during the prowein. the environment is welcoming even if minimal, a tablecloth on the table, or placemats for the individual diner wouldn't be bad. the service is a bit distracted, not all the waiters are attentive. the sore point is the menu. Since my colleagues and I were foreign, we requested the menu in English and with regret we noticed how the prices were inflated (a trap for poor tourists) and furthermore the number of courses was very small, and all in all not much translated either. the language barrier was also a problem, it took us a while to understand each other with the waiters as almost no one understood English, and even with Google Translator we struggled. Nothing can be said about the food, it's really excellent, but these small touches make everything else go down...

Totally carelessly served food at a hugely overpriced price. The ratio doesn't fit at all here €23.90 for a main course consisting of a bifteki and 100g of ready-made fried potatoes that were not seasoned. Cost of goods sold €3 It's almost a joke to run a place like that, it was definitely the most outrageous thing I've personally experienced. €11.90 for chanpignions in brown sauce, that's just amazing. 11.90 for 12 unseasoned mini peppers.

Very friendly staff and clean toilets

I've been coming to Taverna Toxotis to eat alone, with friends and family for over 30 years. My number one spot among the best restaurants in Düsseldorf. It starts from the atmosphere to guests, food, drinks, service and so on. Everything has been composed into a Greek symphony. That made me a regular. My favorite foods are the appetizers. The main course is the lamb chops which are simply amazing. Keep it simple as possible and you'll be amazed at how Toxo-tasting it tastes. 😀. On my last visit I had the calamari, baked eggplant, taramosalata, fish and as a main course the lamb chops with the accompanying various side dishes, chips, salad, vegetables. Combined with Greek wine and great service. I always enjoy coming and I look forward to new ones every time. We paid €250 for 4 people and overall had a very nice, fulfilling evening.

I went for the second time since last year. The Greek food was delicious, but the service was very rough and unfriendly, perhaps because there were a lot of customers. The price and tip for the food were excessive compared to the service and food. I won't be going back next year

We were looking forward to a cozy evening with good food - but were unfortunately disappointed. Eat: We ordered boujurdi as a starter, but unfortunately that was the worst thing I've ever eaten. Instead of a spicy, creamy cheese specialty, we got an almost soup-like mass. The main courses (pork loin souvlaki with fries and lamb chops with potatoes) were also disappointing. Both plates seemed carelessly prepared, without any effort or creativity - more like in a simple holiday tavern. I definitely expected something better in this price range. Had I read the reviews beforehand, we would have gone somewhere else and spent our money more wisely. Service: The service also left a lot to be desired. Most of the staff stood unmotivated at the door, leaning on the railing, watching the guests eat - a really unpleasant feeling. Friendliness was sought in vain. The highlight, however, was the reaction to our tip: we only gave €2 for the poor food and inattentive service, which obviously wasn't well received. A simple “bye” was probably too much to ask. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is absolutely not given here. The food was disappointing, the service unprofessional, and overall the visit was a huge disappointment. I definitely won't go again and can't recommend the restaurant.

Our group, which had been pre-reserved and confirmed by email a few weeks before, was initially very rudely turned away because our reservation supposedly did not exist. After a while she was found, but the way we were treated was inappropriate. The service was initially quite overwhelmed, which was probably due to the full capacity of the trade fair. However, it felt like an eternity passed before we got our drinks and were able to order. It was particularly disappointing that the reference to a colleague's birthday was completely ignored. We also had to pay for the ouzo ourselves, which is a common gesture in other Greek restaurants. The food was good though. The price-performance ratio is not right. Under normal circumstances we would have gone straight away, but with a larger group it would have been difficult to find an alternative at short notice. We definitely won't be coming back.

To start, we were served a plate of fish roe paste, bread, tzatziki and olives, which we took as a greeting from the kitchen - a nice gesture, we thought. The food itself tasted okay, sometimes even good, but unfortunately it was carelessly prepared and completely without passion. The prices, however, were simply outrageous. Particularly annoying: We were charged for the supposed “greetings from the kitchen” in the end without us having ordered it. We refused to pay for it because we find this approach unacceptable. Overall, it seems as if there is clearly a lot of friction here with the starving and day-exhausted trade fair guests. Unfortunately, you won't find warmth, hospitality and authentic food quality here. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime visit for us.

If this is what traditional Greek food looks like, then Nacht Mattes! The ambience doesn't work at all either. The original restaurant is still quite nice, the large extension where we sat is completely uncomfortable and looks more like a makeshift solution. After asking, we managed to order the main courses. Nobody came up with it on their own. The service was served by someone standing at the table with several plates and shouting loudly around the area: "Bifteki! Salmon!"...or whatever. The dessert was an outrage. It was supposed to be baklava, but it was more reminiscent of a dried out shoe sole. Overall, the evening was a total culinary failure. And at completely inflated and outrageous prices!!! One star is far too many here, unfortunately you can't give 0 or minus stars. Never again!

I was also deducted because, as I found out afterwards, a friend had paid for all the drinks for the table, but I was still charged for my Cola. After eating, however, I and my other companion felt really bad. When I'm back in Düsseldorf, Taverna Toxotis won't see us again.

Food excellent. Service was very unfriendly. Reservation was made in writing but not implemented despite confirmation. Balsamic vinegar on the table was expired for 1 year. Priced too expensive for the quality.

The poor animals 🤦 so we wanted the bill... I haven't seen what happened next anywhere experienced... Suddenly the waiter came to the table with a new entrecote. After I told him that I didn't want a new one, he said: It's perfect now, great meat! Ok, I thought... mistakes happen... So a middle cut... Oh my god... The meat was raw... More than English... 🤬 Sorry, I wanted my meat medium rare! I think at just under €40 I can expect that... Ok, I would like to get the bill now and then leave this store! - The waiter comes and asks if he should pack the meat for me 🤣 "um... thanks, but no thanks" 🤣 the bill comes... And what does it say? The entrecote 🤬 I demand to speak to the boss... The waiter said he was busy. If I were a lantern, I said... - Get me your boss. Shortly afterwards an annoyed guy in a pink shirt came to the table. Trip to Grafenberg to eat... you come as a guest and leave as a friend... the food here was below average... should be I'll take a long time to clarify all this...Didn't order any wine...there were already great comments from the staff!!! FOOD wasn't really tasty...I asked for an Altbier (why no wine was the answer), there is no Altbier here at the moment, because of a change...ok, that's a shame, I and my wife thought...then unfortunately 2 small pilsners...... Later there were 5 small Pils 0.3L for 25 € ......drinking slowly it's something special....food from 1-10 ......maybe 5, unless you're a celebrity...then Things are much better here....as I said, use Google maps and reserve early in Grafenberg at the Greek restaurant and you won't want to go anywhere else.....even we from Lohausen like to drive longer.....but friendliness, Price-performance ratio is right and the salad, for example, is not just made from the cheapest greens that I would give to a rabbit....Next Christmas party with 20 people, definitely not here...it's a shame

Hello everyone, I have known the Toxotis restaurant for several years. At that time the restaurant was on the Theodor Heuss Bridge. The food has always been of high quality. I still have to pay tribute to this today. Anyone who wants to eat quality Greek specialties is in good hands here. The ambience is also very good. It feels like a taverna in Greece. In my opinion, the restaurant only values ​​a solvent and well-off clientele. Prices have exploded completely in recent years. You won't get enough of the simple dishes, which cost well over EUR 20.00. You can no longer get a side salad plate either. To fill you up you need the full program from starters to dessert. The drink prices are exorbitant. So, a really nice place. But basically only suitable for Ferrari and Porsche drivers. Best regards Thorsten Schunder

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience in this house today. We were there for the first time. Unfriendly employee on the phone when reserving a table. The food is good, but in my opinion the service was very condescending towards us, unfriendly and made inappropriate comments when he took our order. Another waiter seemed very restless and frantically served us the food. We felt like we were unwanted here. Eat quickly, pay and leave… we will never visit this house again.

Sadly not a lot options on the menu, especially for Kids and vegetarians/vegans. We also got the wrong order and the potatoes were very oily and too sweet. The service and all around atmosphere was nice though.

Unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars because of the cellar we had, although we asked in advance if it was okay that we only had a drink, he said yes. 3 meals come at the same time, alles gud but difficult to handle them as it takes more time to digest fish which is more aromatic than meat

Very good food and authentically Greek. Definitely worth the price!

Nous avions réservé avant le match de l'équipe de France lors de l'Euro 2024. A l'accueil ils n'ont pas trouvé trace de notre réservation. Placé alors dans une salle hyper bruyante où les serveurs passent à côté de vous en vous ignorant royalement. Les enfants courant sur du parquet en bois plus la télé à fond pour suivre un match donnent une idée du volume sonore. Au bout de 10 minutes on a préféré plier bagage et aller dans un resto voisin. J'ai du mettre une étoile mais en fait il ne la mérite même pas. Grosse déception pour apparemment un des meilleurs restos grecs de Düsseldorf.

The food is good but very unimaginatively prepared. Our waiter was very attentive and served us well, but the other colleagues didn't look like they were enjoying their job.
