Essen ist durchschnittlich, Personal gleichgültig, außer sie kennen die Gäste. Auch und ein Bier für 7 Euro ist schon sehr speziell.

Wir saßen als Gruppe draußen an einem sehr warmen Sommertag. Die Tischziweisung erfolgte relativ empathielos, Getränke sowie Essen wurden immer schnell gebracht, allerdings dauerte es immer etwas bis jemand kam um die Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Das Essen war hervorragend und Preis-Leistung dafür in Ordnung. Die Getränke fan dich etwas überteuert. Das Servicepersonal war teilweise so unfreundlich und ruppig, dass es fast schon wie Slapstick wirkte. Man kam sich schon etwas lästig vor. Alles in Allem würde ich trotz den sehr guten Essens nicht wieder herkommen, da Getränkepreise und die Attitüde des Servicepersonals nicht nach meinem Geschmack sind.

Das ist ein fantastisches griechisches Restaurant! Die gebratene Gänseleber war besonders lecker – frisch, zart und saftig; die geschmorte Lammkeule war zart und aromatisch; und die Rippchen waren authentisch griechisch, genauso gut wie die, die ich in Athen gegessen habe! Der frittierte Tintenfisch ist ein absolutes Muss – außen knusprig und innen zart! Auch der kostenlose Karottenreis ist sehr zu empfehlen; er duftet unglaublich gut, und die Kinder haben ihn komplett aufgegessen!

Etwas wenige vegetarische Gerichte, alles sehr fettig, aber das ist wohl Standard beim Griechen. Alles in allem lecker und super Service mit Charme.

Ich hatte die Gelegenheit, mit meinen Freunden in diesem Restaurant zu Abend zu essen. Die Meze waren köstlich und die Desserts fantastisch.

Die erste Frage war ob wir eine Flasche Wein bestellen möchten. Da das nicht der Fall war, wurden wir den gesamten Besuch über zügig und unpersönlich abgefertigt. Nach dem Essen wurden wir stur ignoriert und nach weiteren 30 Minuten ohne Getränke hat der Kellner uns aus mehreren Metern Entfernung desinteressiert gefragt ob wir jetzt noch was bestellen oder nicht. Ich hab dann nur noch die Rechnung bestellt. Das Essen war relativ lieblos und das Ambiente leidet unter der Massenabfertigung.

Teuer und nichts besonderes. Service sehr unbemüht man fühlt sich ungewollt.

Das Essen, der Wein und der Service von Dimitris waren hervorragend. Wir ließen ihn auswählen, und er brachte uns Meeresfrüchte als Vorspeise und anschließend eine Fleischplatte. Der von ihm empfohlene Wein war wunderbar. Er war sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist ein schönes Gefühl, im Ausland in einer griechischen Taverne zu essen, die einem Griechen gehört und in der ausschließlich griechisches Personal arbeitet. Wir können sie jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf gutes Essen legt.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit guter griechischer Küche – sehr beliebt bei Griechen, Türken und Einheimischen. Der Service war hervorragend, die Bedienung zwar beschäftigt, aber aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war köstlich – die Lammkoteletts gehörten zu den besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Dieses Restaurant ist für uns in der Kirmessaison zum absoluten Lieblingsort geworden. Die Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und mehr sind einfach fantastisch. Meine Favoriten sind die Gerichte auf dem Foto, das ich geteilt habe, und die Lammkoteletts sind der Star der Speisekarte. Die müsst ihr unbedingt probieren! Die Kellner sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich habe bisher noch nichts Negatives am Service erlebt. Wenn ihr zum Abendessen kommen wollt, empfehle ich euch, zu reservieren. ✨

Kein gutes Preis Leistungesverhöltnis, viel zu teuer fuer Portionen und Qualität. Ambiente erinnert an die 80er, wirklich schade.. der Laden repräsentiert kaum die griechische Küche.

Wirklich ein ganz besonderer Ort ✨ Man fühlt sich sofort wohl, alles ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und die Atmosphäre ist einfach entspannt und angenehm. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, man merkt, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder 😊

Ausgezeichnetes Essen. Ein sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Team, das uns bei der Wein- und Speisenauswahl unterstützte. Ich bestellte Oktopussalat mit Kartoffeln, mein Partner gegrilltes Hähnchen. Der Wein war hervorragend, und auch meinem Partner schmeckte sein Bier sehr gut.

Wir waren spontan nach der Messe hier Essen. Der Service so wie das gute Essen hat uns überzeugt eine gute Bewertung zu schreiben um anderen Besuchern in Düsseldorf dieses Restaurant zu empfehlen. Bestellt euch am liebsten das Rinderfilet in Pfeffer Soße.. Wahnsinn lecker 🤤

Wir waren heute zu fünft hier essen und insgesamt hat es uns wirklich gut gefallen. Das Restaurant war komplett voll, trotzdem kam das Essen erstaunlich zügig und gut organisiert an den Tisch – das ist heutzutage nicht selbstverständlich. Der Service war durchgehend freundlich und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Besonders positiv ist uns die Fischrogencreme aufgefallen – die war richtig, richtig lecker und definitiv ein Highlight. Auch die restlichen Gerichte waren geschmacklich gut und typisch griechisch, so wie man es sich wünscht. Trotz der vielen Gäste wirkte alles strukturiert und eingespielt, was für ein gutes Team spricht. Ein kleiner Punkt Abzug, weil es durch die Auslastung natürlich etwas lauter war und man gemerkt hat, dass viel los ist – aber das spricht ja gleichzeitig auch für die Beliebtheit des Restaurants. Insgesamt ein sehr solides Erlebnis mit gutem Essen, nettem Service und fairer Leistung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr interessante Location....wer sich umschaut wird auch Prominente treffen. Allerdings würde ich niemals soweit gehen und um ein Selfie oder ein Autogramm bitten. Öffentlichkeit hat seine Grenzen. Privat ist privat.

Business dinner. Everything here was perfect. Delicious starters, main courses, fish, seafood, meat – dessert as well. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. I would give it 6 stars if I could. The service was top-level. They reacted quickly to every situation – an empty glass was refilled in the blink of an eye, and cutlery was replaced just as fast. Perhaps only the décor wasn’t exactly my style, but it didn’t matter at all. Highly recommended.

It's very close to the fairgrounds. It's especially busy between 6-8pm, which is the fair's departure time. It's best to make a reservation in advance. I went twice, three years apart. The quality and flavor were the same both times. It's a place that truly delivers on Greek cuisine.

A truly excellent Greek restaurant! We've been coming here for years, and it's always incredibly delicious. Such consistent quality is rare. The ambiance is very cozy and sophisticated. The service is also absolutely top-notch – the waiters are exceptionally friendly. The grilled dishes are fantastic – you can really taste the rich aroma of the grill. The bread is always fresh and delicious 😋. On the way to the restrooms, you get a glimpse into the kitchen, which is very clean. Highly recommended!

The food was okay, but nothing more. I've known this place for over 10 years, and it used to be recommendable. My sea bass was almost certainly not sea bass, despite what they claimed. The fish looks different… The staff seemed rather unmotivated: apparently, it's not necessary since the restaurant is near the trade fair grounds and right next to the subway station; it's always packed anyway. Hey guys, you can and must do better! Working with a smile on your face makes the job much more enjoyable.

Located about a ten-minute walk from the eastern exit of the Düsseldorf Messe, this Greek restaurant is a valuable resource for varied menus during trade fairs. The restaurant is very welcoming: it features an indoor dining area, but above all, a beautiful, spacious veranda with a giant screen showing the wonders of Greece's natural beauty. The service is attentive and fast, and the dishes retain their Greek origins, albeit with a few small Germanic adaptations. The price is fair, around 40-50 euros per person.

This is a very authentic Greek restaurant. I personally think their grilled fish is good and the steak is very tender. The wait staff is nice and there are plenty of seats, though it can be a bit crowded. The beer is quite expensive, and there's a 100 Euro corkage fee if you bring your own. The desserts are quite sweet, so if you don't like sweets, order less.

Food was delicious. Waiters was busy but service was fluid and we were satisfied with. Fish is recommended also traditional Greek cheese and salads are very good looking and even better tasting. Wery satisfied and see you next time we visit Dusseldorf.

Taverna Toxotis is good in terms of ambiance and service; the food is a bit overpriced; the bifteki was tasty, but the side salad was uninspired and not particularly "Greek." The bread with black olives and a dip served at the beginning was just average, and the dry Greek white wine was "OK," nothing more, nothing less.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The service was rather unfriendly and inattentive, and the food was mediocre and completely overpriced.

Come on, I'll just say, well, okay. The food was okay. The salad with the meal for 4 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 almost-babies was completely forgotten. 225 euros for a little food, 2 bottles of water, a glass of wine, and ouzo. So, there are definitely better options, and you don't have to look far. At the end, when I got the bill, I asked where the salad was and was told, "Next time, you'll get one." Didn't you get it? 🤣 BYE

Actually a great restaurant – we weren't treated very kindly, and the side salad was simply left out… I wonder if that was because of the kids? 🤔 €240 for empty plates with not so good service… probably not again! But it was delicious.

I was there for lunch. 13.90 for a sea bream fillet with salad, a modest portion, rather unloving, and tasteless. The waiter, unfortunately, wasn't a highlight either. Stained shirt, greasy hair, apron tucked under his overhanging belly. That's not exactly well-groomed. Looking at the corner where I was sitting, I wouldn't want to see the kitchen.

Good Greek food in an upscale setting. My meat was cooked to perfection, and the feta cheese made for a wonderful taste experience. Only the potato chips were a bit uninspired and bland for me. The winter garden is very comfortable, though, and the service was friendly.

We've been to Taverna Toxotis many times in the past and always appreciated the restaurant for its good food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, our last visit was a disappointment. When we arrived around 8:30 p.m., many tables were free. Since the windows were wide open and it was a bit chilly, we asked for a table in a warmer area. There were several free tables that could have accommodated our request. However, the waiter was unwilling to assign us one of these tables. We understand that there are sometimes restrictions, but the lack of compromise was very disappointing. We left disappointed and ate elsewhere. Despite our good past experiences, this unfortunately leaves a bad taste in our mouths.

It was delicious, but also a bit on the higher end of the price range.

What can I say? I'm still speechless. Admittedly, I like spending money on food. More than that, too. But then at least one of two criteria has to be met: quality or quantity. Unfortunately, there's neither one nor the other here. For an appetizer, for over €20, an octopus arm, halved, overcooked, and tough. For the main course, three careless lamb fillets with three or four halved potatoes, each served on a separate plate. Oh yes, a quarter of a lemon was included with the lamb fillet. Assembling, dressing, and presentation: nonexistent. Very important: whether it's an appetizer or a main course, the main thing is olive oil. I'm still annoyed that I didn't take a photo of this careless meal. No one would believe it. My wife had overcooked salmon with four more boiled potatoes. Also dipped in oil. The food didn't taste bad, but that wouldn't be right to say so. But the chef either had no talent, no desire, or was having an incredibly bad day. Plus two bottles of water and two apple spritzers. And all that for a whopping €130. I'm still stunned. As for the waiters: there were a few nice ones. But also a few who were in the wrong category. Hence, two stars. In short: this was the first and certainly last time.

Four of us ate there and were unfortunately disappointed overall. The meat dishes came with potato chips and some rice – they tasted okay, but nothing special. The price was clearly inflated for such a simple dish. What was particularly negative was that no dips or sauces were served with it. Upon request, we were offered some tzatziki – which was then charged a hefty €7.50 extra. For a Greek restaurant, the value for money and service were disappointing. We won't be going back.

Unfortunately, the prices are relatively high, especially for the portion size. I paid €10 for a starter that ended up being a tiny feta in oil. There weren't even any side dishes. Furthermore, the service was unfortunately poor. I don't understand the good reviews here. Another note: if you're looking for vegetarian dishes, you've come to the wrong place. There's nothing of the sort in the main courses.

THEY'RE GETTING A CAT IN A HARE. A rip-off. I'm Basque, I love fish, and if I know anything, it's tuna. I visited twice last week. The first time, I ordered rare tuna, which was delicious. At the end of the week, I encouraged all my coworkers to come back for dinner, the famous tuna I'd enjoyed so much a few days before. By the way. Not cheap at all. When they brought it to us, I was stunned. I asked to see the fish. They took me to the kitchen. The waiter argued with the cooks in Greek, and they brought me a raw fillet of the same fish. I asked to see the whole fish, and they told me it wasn't possible. They served us frozen swordfish for the price of bluefin tuna. The cheeky waiter had the nerve to bring me a label, which obviously didn't correspond to the product served, trying to convince us of something it wasn't. The situation was bordering on ridiculous. No discussion. We paid and left. But never again. It's a shame I didn't take photos of both dishes so you could judge for yourself. If you want to pay for something that isn't yours, go to this restaurant.

I had the opportunity to eat in this restaurant on several evenings, during the prowein. the environment is welcoming even if minimal, a tablecloth on the table, or placemats for the individual diner wouldn't be bad. the service is a bit distracted, not all the waiters are attentive. the sore point is the menu. Since my colleagues and I were foreign, we requested the menu in English and with regret we noticed how the prices were inflated (a trap for poor tourists) and furthermore the number of courses was very small, and all in all not much translated either. the language barrier was also a problem, it took us a while to understand each other with the waiters as almost no one understood English, and even with Google Translator we struggled. Nothing can be said about the food, it's really excellent, but these small touches make everything else go down...

Very good Greek, everything very good

Totally carelessly served food at a hugely overpriced price. The ratio doesn't fit at all here €23.90 for a main course consisting of a bifteki and 100g of ready-made fried potatoes that were not seasoned. Cost of goods sold €3 It's almost a joke to run a place like that, it was definitely the most outrageous thing I've personally experienced. €11.90 for chanpignions in brown sauce, that's just amazing. 11.90 for 12 unseasoned mini peppers.

Very friendly staff and clean toilets

I've been coming to Taverna Toxotis to eat alone, with friends and family for over 30 years. My number one spot among the best restaurants in Düsseldorf. It starts from the atmosphere to guests, food, drinks, service and so on. Everything has been composed into a Greek symphony. That made me a regular. My favorite foods are the appetizers. The main course is the lamb chops which are simply amazing. Keep it simple as possible and you'll be amazed at how Toxo-tasting it tastes. 😀. On my last visit I had the calamari, baked eggplant, taramosalata, fish and as a main course the lamb chops with the accompanying various side dishes, chips, salad, vegetables. Combined with Greek wine and great service. I always enjoy coming and I look forward to new ones every time. We paid €250 for 4 people and overall had a very nice, fulfilling evening.

I went for the second time since last year. The Greek food was delicious, but the service was very rough and unfriendly, perhaps because there were a lot of customers. The price and tip for the food were excessive compared to the service and food. I won't be going back next year
