We were looking forward to a cozy evening with good food - but were unfortunately disappointed. Eat: We ordered boujurdi as a starter, but unfortunately that was the worst thing I've ever eaten. Instead of a spicy, creamy cheese specialty, we got an almost soup-like mass. The main courses (pork loin souvlaki with fries and lamb chops with potatoes) were also disappointing. Both plates seemed carelessly prepared, without any effort or creativity - more like in a simple holiday tavern. I definitely expected something better in this price range. Had I read the reviews beforehand, we would have gone somewhere else and spent our money more wisely. Service: The service also left a lot to be desired. Most of the staff stood unmotivated at the door, leaning on the railing, watching the guests eat - a really unpleasant feeling. Friendliness was sought in vain. The highlight, however, was the reaction to our tip: we only gave €2 for the poor food and inattentive service, which obviously wasn't well received. A simple “bye” was probably too much to ask. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is absolutely not given here. The food was disappointing, the service unprofessional, and overall the visit was a huge disappointment. I definitely won't go again and can't recommend the restaurant.

I haven't experienced such an unfriendly greeting in a restaurant for a long time. Our group, which had been pre-reserved and confirmed by email a few weeks before, was initially very rudely turned away because our reservation supposedly did not exist. After a while she was found, but the way we were treated was inappropriate. The service was initially quite overwhelmed, which was probably due to the full capacity of the trade fair. However, it felt like an eternity passed before we got our drinks and were able to order. It was particularly disappointing that the reference to a colleague's birthday was completely ignored. We also had to pay for the ouzo ourselves, which is a common gesture in other Greek restaurants. The food was good though. The price-performance ratio is not right. Under normal circumstances we would have gone straight away, but with a larger group it would have been difficult to find an alternative at short notice. We definitely won't be coming back.

Das Restaurant war sehr voll, vermutlich lag es an der Messe. Dennoch war der Service nicht so gut. Insbesondere wennn eine größere Gruppe getrennt zahlen will, geht das nicht gut. Das Essen war lecker, aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte nicht. Das Ambiente hat was von einer Halle, aber nicht von einem gemütlichen Restaurant.

The food was tasty, but the price-performance ratio was not right. The atmosphere has something of a hall, but not of a cozy restaurant.

There is no friendliness or attentiveness in this restaurant. No smiles and apparently no fun in a place that isn't even full. The food is below average, but the prices are very high. The menu was very limited even though it was the weekend and the boat show was on. I ordered a baked potato and received split potatoes. When I asked, they said: This is a Greek baked potato. There was no wheat beer either, but it is on the menu and the beers ordered were not full. Glasses and crowd with a shooting festival character. Last but not least, the drinks we ordered were not found on the bill. This Greek restaurant didn't have ouzo on-site either. Unfortunately you have to give it a star or it won't be published.

After visiting the fair we are hungry. The reviews on the internet led us here. Greek restaurant, yes why not. The service is friendly and nice, and at first glance the atmosphere is very chic. On closer inspection, yes, okay, it has suffered a bit, but it is clean and in order. We missed typical Greek dishes. But the food we ordered was really top and absolutely delicious. So I made a note of coming here to eat again.

We went to the Greek restaurant with a larger group. The dishes were very manageable and dishes that we expected, e.g. There were no gyros or liver. Every meat dish came with a side dish. There was no ouzo before paying. We literally had to beg to pay. The waiters kept walking past us. When we wanted to pay individually, people shook their heads and turned their eyes. Too bad. We were looking forward to a great meal.

We ate in the tavern today and had already read the rather mixed reviews in advance, which didn't give us any good suspicions. The service was fine and friendly. To start, we were served a plate of fish roe paste, bread, tzatziki and olives, which we took as a greeting from the kitchen - a nice gesture, we thought. The food itself tasted okay, sometimes even good, but unfortunately it was carelessly prepared and completely without passion. The prices, however, were simply outrageous. Particularly annoying: We were charged for the supposed “greetings from the kitchen” in the end without us having ordered it. We refused to pay for it because we find this approach unacceptable. Overall, it seems as if there is clearly a lot of friction here with the starving and day-exhausted trade fair guests. Unfortunately, you won't find warmth, hospitality and authentic food quality here. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime visit for us.

The food was subpar. Thrown onto the plate completely carelessly, with no decoration whatsoever, insufficiently seasoned or not seasoned at all, it was simply bad overall. If this is what traditional Greek food looks like, then Nacht Mattes! The ambience doesn't work at all either. The original restaurant is still quite nice, the large extension where we sat is completely uncomfortable and looks more like a makeshift solution. After asking, we managed to order the main courses. Nobody came up with it on their own. The service was served by someone standing at the table with several plates and shouting loudly around the area: "Bifteki! Salmon!"...or whatever. The dessert was an outrage. It was supposed to be baklava, but it was more reminiscent of a dried out shoe sole. Overall, the evening was a total culinary failure. And at completely inflated and outrageous prices!!! One star is far too many here, unfortunately you can't give 0 or minus stars. Never again!

The food here is great! I had the souvlaki, which was well seasoned and came with potatoes. I started with the beet salad. Don’t expect the beet salad like you might get in the United States with other ingredients like goat cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. It is essentially fresh beets with olive oil — very fresh and savory. The servers are all from Greece and add to creating a genuine experience. Ask for Pascal or Elena (Magdalena). They are awesome!

Five of us spontaneously went there and even though it was empty, they were very annoyed that we asked if they had a place for us. You felt like you were being watched the whole time. We sat so that the employees had a view of us the whole time and they were basically at our backs. Food prices were okay for the portion mmn. However, I found the prices for drinks outrageous. A bottle of water 8!!! Euro. Cola was brought in 0.33l bottles, but a good 4 euros were deducted. You are processed very quickly and are not really perceived as a guest. I was also deducted because, as I found out afterwards, a friend had paid for all the drinks for the table, but I was still charged for my Cola. After eating, however, I and my other companion felt really bad. When I'm back in Düsseldorf, Taverna Toxotis won't see us again.

Food excellent. Service was very unfriendly. Reservation was made in writing but not implemented despite confirmation. Balsamic vinegar on the table was expired for 1 year. Priced too expensive for the quality.

Nobody can make this up! To celebrate the day I ordered an entrecote... The waiter asked me if I wanted it medium rare. I answered yes. What then came to the table was an absolute disgrace. The meat could not have been through. As a meat lover, my heart bleeds 😫 So I let the shoe sole go back and asked the waiter not to bring me a new one either... The poor animals 🤦 so we wanted the bill... I haven't seen what happened next anywhere experienced... Suddenly the waiter came to the table with a new entrecote. After I told him that I didn't want a new one, he said: It's perfect now, great meat! Ok, I thought... mistakes happen... So a middle cut... Oh my god... The meat was raw... More than English... 🤬 Sorry, I wanted my meat medium rare! I think at just under €40 I can expect that... Ok, I would like to get the bill now and then leave this store! - The waiter comes and asks if he should pack the meat for me 🤣 "um... thanks, but no thanks" 🤣 the bill comes... And what does it say? The entrecote 🤬 I demand to speak to the boss... The waiter said he was busy. If I were a lantern, I said... - Get me your boss. Shortly afterwards an annoyed guy in a pink shirt came to the table. When I asked if that was normal in his restaurant, he simply replied: You can have a bad day! Ouch... Sorry to ask - I thought 🤦 Simply not interested in pleasing a well-paying customer... Can we at least get an ouzo? -no, we don't do that here! - was his answer! And he was gone 🤣 The entrecote was no longer on the bill... But I would have preferred to shove it down his throat! I've never experienced anything like this. Everyone who goes to this store has themselves to blame, sorry! Sad!

Trip to Grafenberg to eat... you come as a guest and leave as a friend... the food here was below average... should be I'll take a long time to clarify all this...Didn't order any wine...there were already great comments from the staff!!! Doesn't matter ... FOOD wasn't really tasty...I asked for an Altbier (why no wine was the answer), there is no Altbier here at the moment, because of a change...ok, that's a shame, I and my wife thought...then unfortunately 2 small pilsners...... Later there were 5 small Pils 0.3L for 25 € ......drinking slowly it's something special....food from 1-10 ......maybe 5, unless you're a celebrity...then Things are much better here....as I said, use Google maps and reserve early in Grafenberg at the Greek restaurant and you won't want to go anywhere else.....even we from Lohausen like to drive longer.....but friendliness, Price-performance ratio is right and the salad, for example, is not just made from the cheapest greens that I would give to a rabbit....Next Christmas party with 20 people, definitely not here...it's a shame

The food is delicious and the service is good. The only thing I personally have to complain about is the price/performance ratio. It's just overpriced. But maybe it's also because it's in Düsseldorf and you pay for the exclusivity. But that's my personal feeling.

Hello everyone, I have known the Toxotis restaurant for several years. At that time the restaurant was on the Theodor Heuss Bridge. The food has always been of high quality. I still have to pay tribute to this today. Anyone who wants to eat quality Greek specialties is in good hands here. The ambience is also very good. It feels like a taverna in Greece. In my opinion, the restaurant only values ​​a solvent and well-off clientele. Prices have exploded completely in recent years. You won't get enough of the simple dishes, which cost well over EUR 20.00. You can no longer get a side salad plate either. To fill you up you need the full program from starters to dessert. The drink prices are exorbitant. So, a really nice place. But basically only suitable for Ferrari and Porsche drivers. Best regards Thorsten Schunder

Sadly not a lot options on the menu, especially for Kids and vegetarians/vegans. We also got the wrong order and the potatoes were very oily and too sweet. The service and all around atmosphere was nice though.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience in this house today. We were there for the first time. Unfriendly employee on the phone when reserving a table. The food is good, but in my opinion the service was very condescending towards us, unfriendly and made inappropriate comments when he took our order. Another waiter seemed very restless and frantically served us the food. We felt like we were unwanted here. Eat quickly, pay and leave… we will never visit this house again.

Nous avions réservé avant le match de l'équipe de France lors de l'Euro 2024. A l'accueil ils n'ont pas trouvé trace de notre réservation. Placé alors dans une salle hyper bruyante où les serveurs passent à côté de vous en vous ignorant royalement. Les enfants courant sur du parquet en bois plus la télé à fond pour suivre un match donnent une idée du volume sonore. Au bout de 10 minutes on a préféré plier bagage et aller dans un resto voisin. J'ai du mettre une étoile mais en fait il ne la mérite même pas. Grosse déception pour apparemment un des meilleurs restos grecs de Düsseldorf.

Katastrophale Serviceleistung des Personals ! Besuch am 1. Juni 2024. Leider konnte ich den Namen des betreffenden Kellers nicht feststellen. Wir saßen am Fenster, Eingang rechte Seite, an der Wand, Uhrzeit 18.30h, drei Personen. 1.) Unsere Reservierung war nicht aufzufinden, wir wurden dann doch platziert. 2.) Nach Aufnahme unserer Bestellung für die Vorspeisen verschwand der Kellner mit dem mürrischen Kommentar " das war alles ?". Er hat sich um unsere weiteren Bestellungen nicht gekümmert, erst ein anderer Kellner hat dann gnädig unsere Hauptgänge aufgenommen, nach Aufforderung ! 3.) Wir bestellten ein Pils, ein Alt und ein Glas Wein. Es wurde ohne zu fragen eine Flasche Wein an den Tisch gebracht, die wir nicht bestellt hatten ! 4.) Nach langem Warten wurde dann endlich auch das Tischgedeck mit Oliven und Brot gebracht, nach ca. 30 Minuten. Es bestand kein Interesse, uns nach weiteren Getränken zu fragen ! Unser Tisch wurde komplett ignoriert ! 5.) Nach dem Verzehr der Hauptspeisen wurde unser Tisch nicht abgeräumt, wir saßen noch ca. eine Stunde vor leerem Geschirr, ohne dass man uns nach Dessert oder weiteren Getränken fragte. Kein Danke, keine Nachfrage ob es geschmeckt hat, keine Verabschiedung. Das Verhalten des Kellners war arrogant, unfreundlich und herablassend. Während des Bezahlvorgangs drehte er uns ohne Kommentar den Rücken zu. Wir wohnen in Düsseldorf- Stockum, nach diesen negativen Erfahrungen werden wir das Lokal nicht mehr besuchen, unsere Nachbarn informieren und entsprechende Bewertungen auf diversen Website-Portalen einstellen. Auch mein Geburtstag mit zwanzig Personen wird nicht bei TOXOTIS stattfinden ! Abschließend noch ein paar Worte zu den Preisen: Wir halten die Preisgestaltung für extrem überzogen. TOXOTIS entwickelt sich zu einem reinen Messerestaurant, mit einer ahnungslosen Kundschaft, die mangels Alternativen die Preise akzeptiert. Den Begriff "Abzocke" möchte ich hier nicht in den Vordergrund stellen. Die Minibeilagen sind eine Unverschämtheit, ein paar Kartoffelscheiben und etwas Gemüse. Zusammenfassung: Qualität der Speisen nur teilweise gut, Beilagen klein und schlecht ! Service: Der schlechteste Service den ich jemals in einem Restaurant erlebt habe ! Unglaublich ! Preise: Exorbitant überzogen, reine Messepreise, Stockumer sollten den Laden wirklich meiden. NIE WIEDER !

We had dinner here after a visit to the Aquazoo. For 12.50 there was a delicious meal with salad. Souvlaki skewer highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and the service was completely okay.

Varied map. Everything from fish, lamb, chicken and different souvlaki variants are represented. My wife's lamb skewer was perfect and my souvlaki was tender and delicious. The red wine (Mylopotamus) we ordered went very well. The service was unobtrusive but almost always present. We sat on the street, but there was hardly any traffic disturbing the ambience. Everything is still within reasonable price, except for the water prices. (7.90 euro bottle of mineral water). We will come back in any case.

It is always a great pleasure when we are in Düsseldorf for the beauty fair, a must visit to Taverna Toxotis, the food is a delight of the highest quality. The service team tried their best despite the restaurant being full!!! Kitchen delivered the food on time even though the store was full. After asking if we could get additional bread, we received a friendly smile from the person who brought us the bread immediately. Everything perfect!!! So we can give it 5 stars+. We will be back.

For years it has been the first port of call in Düsseldorf when it comes to Greek specialties (especially fish and seafood). Been there again after a long time. The food selection (including the daily menu) was generous, the service was correct and the fish was also good.

Every time we visit Düsseldorf we are always drawn to Taverna Toxotis, an authentic Greek restaurant in Stockum, near the trade fair. As long-time guests, we can confirm: the quality remains consistently high. Today for lunch we once again had the pleasure of enjoying the delicious food. The souvlaki with fries and side salad was fresh, spicy and simply delicious - a real culinary delight. The combination of tender meat, perfectly seasoned fries and a fresh salad is always a pleasure. And the home-baked bread with olives and olive oil in advance? Simply irresistible! Not only the quality of the food, but also the price-performance ratio is excellent. The prices have been stable for years and are more than fair for the quality offered. Although we can't say anything about the peak times during the trade fair or the evening operations, as we have only been there at lunchtime, our experiences at this time of day were consistently positive. In short, Taverna Toxotis is a real insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine in a cozy atmosphere in Düsseldorf. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
