Good Greek cuisine and friendly staff.

Came spontaneously and got a seat easily, even though it was very full. A small one was simply “branched off” from a large table. We personally found the food a bit bland (gyros with tzatziki). But that's a matter of taste and you can season it. Staff was friendly and attentive.

The food was very tasty. We all got a small salad on the house to start with. The pita bread not only looks good but also tastes good. We also had pureed eggplant. For the main course I had the salmon fillet with potato slices. I can highly recommend it. The fish was very tender. A highlight were the walnut cake and the Greek semolina cake. Very good. Ambience was pleasant. Staff very attentive.

Ambience and service calm. My husband's meal was very tasty (No.95). My gyros were also good, tzatziki were excellent, the fries were quite weak.

It's been our favorite Greek restaurant for years. No matter what you order, everything is delicious.

Still a good Greek restaurant, unfortunately it declines with each visit (we go there about once a year), The waiters are sluggish, sometimes I sat for 20 minutes without a drink even though the waiter passed by several times. Something also went wrong with the orders, 2 of 20 meals were wrong and 4 beefteki only came when the others were already ready. My metaxa sauce for the beefteki was on the table 10 minutes before the beefteki even arrived, which was very strange. Nevertheless, it was a very nice evening ☺️

Update 10/24 Large farmer's salad: simply puny! So small, not a single person can get enough of it. Waiting time underground. I will only go here if I am invited 🤢 Greetings to Boris, who can't take criticism 😉😉😉😉 The portions are generous. But you should order typical Greek dishes. The baked vegetables are not only expensive, but are also made from cheap, frozen vegetables. Otherwise recommended!

Wow...one of the best Greeks in Düsseldorf. You were treated like a prince. The waiter was very friendly funny. Our space for 2 people was very generous. The tzatziki was very tasty, as was the starter salad. The bifteki with potato slices also tasted very good. I can only recommend Symposium and will definitely come back.

We always went here when I was a kid, but it's been a while since I came here. The food is still as good as ever. Service is nice too.

Previously not always our first choice, the Sympision has now become really good. The quality is great, it tastes really good and the portions are more than big enough, even if you're hungry. We had a new cellar who was super friendly and made a real effort to serve us. I can recommend everyone to eat there. Enjoy it 👍

It was quite pricey. Local alt beer costs 6.10 euro. Across the street it was 3.30 euro. Service was ok.

Fantastic place with an interesting atmosphere. The service and Greek food are top-notch. Portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this spot for a great experience!

All in all it was OK, but the 4 baby squid for 11 euros were a bit overpriced and tasted pretty bad!!! The service and ambience were good, but there are better Greek restaurants in Düsseldorf.

Known, at least in our area, as a good Greek with huge portions for three decades. After a few years I've been there again, still incredibly large portions of the very best quality. Naturally, the prices have risen somewhat, but are still completely reasonable. Atmosphere very pleasant, courteous and very friendly service. Still an absolute recommendation.

We got a table without a reservation. The service was nice. There is a large selection of food. As a starter we had the garlic bread with tomatoes and feta cheese, which was really very tasty. Fresh and spicy. Then as a main course we had the gyros with fries and tzatziki and the gratinated gyros. Unfortunately, the two dishes didn't convince us. The normal gyro was very dry and the gratinated gyro was very, very fatty. However, the tzatziki tasted really good.

Food, large portions (epic value for money based on portion size). But not a good Greek... the bread tastes bought, the gyros is not tasty but just greasy and chewy.. the minced steaks are very soft and loveless.. fresh pieces, rather tough than on point ...others were very impressed with things like feta. no fried potatoes, just fried goods (bare potato slices and croquettes/fries).. so kept very simple. Tzatziki is not standard for meat platters. Only for certain dishes (the professional keeps it from the salad in advance. The staff was a bit tedious but very friendly. And there was also ouzo that was good and appreciative. Waiting times were short and good. They were always friendly and warm. Clear plus point. I think it would just be cool if they would reflect on a few things and rethink them. I wouldn't go there a second time. But if e.g. If the portions were smaller but of higher quality, it would be a great fit.

Classic Greek cuisine with very generous portions and very fair prices. Although the symposium has been around for ages, it continues to develop.

Very good price/performance ratio. Service was a bit taciturn, but very quick and friendly. The restaurant is a bit old and there is unlikely to be a parking space nearby. Menu without surprises, rather normal standard.

I wanted to eat and go to the toilet. Everything came up. I went to the boss and told him that. In the women's toilet too. He doesn't care. My shoes were completely ruined. He told me that I could go pee outside in front of the tree. That doesn't work at all. Been coming there for years. .m

Overall, I’d give it a solid 3 star rating considering the positives of good food quality, availability of vegetarian options, and excellent French fries, but with room for improvement in spiciness for those who prefer it. Pita bread was not soft and it became hard soon.

Leider ist das Essen nicht mehr so gut wie es mal war obwohl die frittierten Kartoffeln waren sehr lecker und die Portionen riesig; aber das Tsaziki...kenne ich komplett anders

War zum erstenmal in diesem Restaurant , von 18 - 22.15 Uhr. Das Restaurant war als ich ging immer noch sehr gut besucht.

Wir kommen schon 30 Jahre hier hin und wir wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Waren jetzt schon sehr lange nicht mehr da. Aber es schmeckt immer noch sehr gut hier. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Macht weiter so.

Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte ist reichlich und das Essen war lecker. Der Service war schnell und aufmerksam. Es gab ein lecker Schumi 😀 Würde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Wir waren zu viert am Abend dort. Vorab hatten wir reserviert. Als wir um 18 Uhr ankamen, war das Restaurant noch gering besucht. Dies ändert sich allerdings schnell. Das Ambiente ist okay. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und unmittelbar bedient. Zur Begrüßung gab es Ouzo. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränke ist sehr umfangreich und gut. Unsere gewählten speisen war sehr lecker, reichhaltig und optisch ansprechend. Zum Abschluss haben wir tatsächlich noch einen weiteren Ouzo erhalten. Im Ergebnis kann ich nur sagen, gerne und jederzeit wieder. Hier stimmen Preis und Leistung vollkommen.

Ich bin jetzt seit fast 40 Jahren Gast im Symposion. In der Zeit haben sich Kellner, Köche und so wie ich weiß auch die Besitzer geändert. Bis auf einige Ausrutscher im Laufe der Jahre hat sich von der Qualität und vom Geschmack kaum etwas geändert. Ich gehe nach all der Zeit immer noch gerne hierhin. Das Ambiente ist in der letzten Zeit nach einigen Umbau Maßnahmen moderner geworden hat aber nichts vom alten Scharm verloren. Preis Leistung ist immer noch gut. Von mir 👍

I had a delightful experience at Simposion! Bifteki is simply amazing, offering an authentic and hearty meal. Same goes for tzatziki. The top-notch service and pleasant atmosphere only added to the overall enjoyment. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Haben 20Minuten auf die Bedienung gewartet, bis jemand kam und dann die Bestellung aufnahm. Dabei wurde noch nicht Mal nach den Getränken gefragt. Auch wurde ein Gerücht nicht so serviert, wie man es eigentlich bestellt hatte...war soweit sonst ok, aber wir müssen nicht unbedingt nochmal dorthin.

Bestes griechisches Restaurant im Norden Düsseldorfs. Mega lecker und freundliche Bedienung. 6 Sterne sind leider nicht verfügbar ;-)

Gemütliches Griechisches Restaurant, welches auch schon am frühen Abend öffnet. Der Zaziki ist Weltklasse und die Portionen definitiv sättigend und die Preise völlig in Ordnung. War schon zweimal da und komme gerne wieder :-)

Alles ist Geschmackssache. Fleisch, was erheblich zulange gegrillt wurde, pampige Soße und in einer Öllache liegende Speisen entsprechen nicht dem unseren. Eine Bedienung, die Getränke nur unmotiviert anreicht und mehrfach die falschen bringt, macht mir wenig Freude. Wenn dann bei der Abrechnung vorgeworfen wird, man habe mehr oder andere Getränke verzehrt als angegeben, kann ich leider nicht mehr Sterne vergeben.

Gute Auswahl, die Portionen sind recht groß. Eine Vorspeise sollten man sich mit jemanden teilen ;-) Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und kommen gerne wieder.

Übervolle, mehrseitige Speisekarte, keine Spezialisierung erkennbar. Wer viel Hunger, wenig Budget und viel Lust auf Fleisch mit Fleischsoße und Fleischbeilage hat, dem sei diese Gastro empfohlen. Das Ambiente ist o.k. und passt zur Speicherkarte, die Bedienung aufmerksam und sympathisch.

Fantastic food and very friendly staff. I could order food and take it with me to the hotel. The staff took great care to keep me comfortable and entertained while waiting. Every dish was prepared with love and care and it shows. The tzatziki is the best I ever had! Can't wait to return next year.

Ich kann nur eins sagen: Wir sind satt und mit einem Lächeln aus dem Restaurant gegangen. Schade, dass wir in Mainz wohnen, sonst wäre es unser Stammrestaurant

The mix Greek fish plate was really huge as quantity and variety and good as well. Staff is very kind, great service. Location is good and you can enjoy the food without being too much close to someone else. At the day I was there was not difficult to find a parking, can be as it was bank holiday in Germany. Recommended :-)
