Fantastic, wonderful and welcoming atmosphere

I visited Taverna Melina for the second time yesterday. The service is truly excellent, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. You immediately feel like you're in Greece! The food is delicious! One of my favorite Greek restaurants in Munich ☺️

Authentic Greek cuisine and super friendly staff

Good food, fast service, but very cramped tables – shoulder to shoulder with the next table – and it feels a bit like mass processing (reservations for a maximum of 2 hours). Unfortunately, this makes it less of a relaxing visit to a Greek restaurant.

Delicious food, very crowded and sometimes noisy – but the waiter was incredibly friendly, the service was fast and attentive! Reservations are absolutely essential! We were served a delicious ouzo before, during, and after the meal! Yogurt, honey, and nuts were provided on the house for everyone to finish!

My brother and I had a wonderful evening. The welcome was warm and friendly. The food was excellent from start to finish, no matter what we ordered. Even though the restaurant was packed, the service was top-notch. The complimentary Greek yogurt with pistachios for dessert was the perfect finishing touch to a fantastic evening. We'll definitely be back!

The food is nothing short of amazing — every dish is full of authentic flavor and feels like it’s been prepared with real care and passion. It's a good restaurant with good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and good service. The only problems are that reservations are absolutely necessary on weekends, and the noise level can be unbearable at times. Furthermore, the owner should reconsider whether to continue offering provisional reservations. This practice is unprofessional and reveals the owner's greed.

A truly fantastic restaurant – I highly recommend it! Our group ordered a variety of appetizers that were specially prepared for us, and everything was absolutely delicious. The waiters were also incredibly friendly and attentive, even though it was really busy. We'll definitely be back!

Such a great restaurant. We were very well looked after by all the staff (mention to Rafael + Timo). The food, from the mezze to the mains, the wine and digestifs, was all beyond our expectations. Must try: mezze selection + lamb shoulder. It melts in your mouth.

Great Greek restaurant. We were there on Thursday from 7 pm with three people. If you reserve for 8 pm, you get a table for the rest of the evening, but we were lucky and were allowed to stay from 7 pm onwards. The restaurant calls shortly beforehand to confirm the reservation. We had a very nice evening!

Taverna Melina is a very special place for me and my grandmother – we have our most cherished dates there. The entire team is incredibly warm, charming, and exudes that wonderful southern European ease that makes every visit special. My grandma and I always thoroughly enjoy their warm hospitality. The food is simply fantastic. From the excellent standard menu to the daily specials, which always surprise us. A visit at least once a month is a must, whether in the summer on the beautiful terrace or cozy inside when the weather turns unpleasant. But Taverna Melina isn't just perfect for family evenings: I've also celebrated some fantastic parties there: birthdays, company events, and even a bachelorette party. Every time, they do everything to make you feel completely at ease. It's a place where you feel like you're on vacation. Thank you all so much, and of course, see you very, very soon!

Super Grieche! One of my favorites :)

Amazing food, very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. They have candles on every table, and there is soft music playing. Usually they serve ouzo and greek yogurt with honey and wallnuts as a dessert, and that is complimentay. For two people, 2 glasses of wine, 2 main dishes and a side dish to share we spent around 75€. Only thing I can mention that may be annoying, the main room is more chaotic and a bid too loud. If you can get a table in the rooms in the back it will be quieter. Overall, strongly recommended.

A fantastic place with a cozy atmosphere and candlelight. The service was warm and friendly, and the portions were more than fair. We rolled home and still had some packed up. In short: A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a little piece of Greece in Munich.

I don't often eat Greek food, but this is the best of the ones I've tried. The place was packed, the food was excellent, and so was the service. My only complaint is the space, which is small in some areas, and the noise from the music, which I think could be toned down a bit. Anyway, I'll be back next time.

I am THRILLED with this restaurant. The two of us were here. Since it was full, we got seats at the bar. Drinks and food arrived very quickly, even though it was so busy. We were offered schnapps on the house with our meal. Since my girlfriend and I didn't want alcohol, we declined. The service was incredibly professional. Refills and questions were handled without fail. The food tasted excellent. We were given dessert and coffee on the house afterward. At the end, we were offered a small ouzo and a drink on the house. Simply incredible. You might think the prices here are very high, but that's not true. It's actually too cheap. We will definitely be back. 5/5 House Well deserved.

As a group of women, we ended up at the kids' table (at the front end of the restaurant, to the left of the entrance) despite making a timely reservation. The food was good to very good (the mussels were very good, I was disappointed with the moussaka). We were given white bread beforehand to satisfy our hunger. The Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts was very tasty. Although Milena was packed to the last standing and seating spot, we had a very charming and attentive waiter who, in addition to his professional knowledge, made us very happy. Several guests were waiting outside the restaurant for a table to become available, which speaks volumes about Milena...and that was on a regular Tuesday. The only negative: The women's restroom on the left side couldn't be closed and was completely wet, making the floor slippery. The small terry towels on the well-arranged shelf next to the sink were pleasant. The ambiance here could be improved. The noise level was very high, making it difficult to have a relaxed conversation. Otherwise, absolutely recommended.

I had a wonderful evening with two of my friends here, enjoying exquisite Mediterranean cuisine. I had their salmon dish that is served in a burning hot pan, that the waiter unfortunately didn’t warn me about… the food however, was quite delicious, albeit rather pricy for the amount… the atmosphere created had definitely a Mediterranean vibe. We definitely felt like the sea wasn’t far 🤣. I might come here with some business colleagues for a lunch maybe.

We had a phenomenal dinner on our last night in Munich at Taverna Medina. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel like part of the family. The Melina Plate was absolutely mouthwatering. The restaurant's quiet, romantic ambiance added to the delightful experience. There are so many wonderful aspects to mention, but those stand out the most. I highly recommend this gem!

I was here with friends. The food was outstanding. The service was friendly and attentive, on a level you rarely experience. The atmosphere in the beer garden was cozy and the interior was also very appealing. I would recommend it immediately!

I was there for dinner with a friend of mine and we ordered the beetroot salad and the baked feta, pita bread & the side salad. Everything was super good & fresh. I really recommend going there. We were assisted by Jordanis, who was super warm and friendly with us, which made it extra special for us. I will be back!

Taverna Melina serves great food with a pretty big portion size. Make sure to be hungry when you get here. The waiters are super nice and very welcoming. If possible I recommend sitting outside.
