For me the best Greek in Munich! Both the food and the service are top. We always take the hot & cold mixed starters to share and are always thrilled. All employees are always very friendly and attentive, even when the restaurant is full. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. 😊 P.S.: The only thing I miss: I really want the feta in Kadaifi with truffles and honey back! It was my absolute favorite appetizer.

What a lovely place! From the first step you got the feeling you are on Greek holiday. Everyone is very welcoming, warm family atmosphere, restaurant is very light, modern and cozy, beautiful ceramics and candles everywhere. Everything we ordered was delicious - we had shared starters for the table and after everyone had a main dish and we were stuffed! 😅 Plus complimentary Ouzo and Greek yogurt in the end ❤️

Very attentive staff, but they were a bit loud when communicating with guests. If you were served next to you, you could no longer speak or hear each other at your own table due to the waiter's loudness. The evening was overall very tasty, atmospheric and pleasant.

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to share my feedback on my last visit to your restaurant, which unfortunately was not entirely satisfactory. The reservation for 4 people was made at 7:00 p.m. and Mr. Azur V.'s recommendation was very positive. The food tasted very good and the staff was friendly and nice. However, there were a few points that marred the evening. After about two hours the waiter wanted to bring the bill even though we had still ordered drinks. We still placed a new order, but it was no longer delivered - apparently because they wanted to get rid of us quickly after a limited time. I found this to be inappropriate because we weren't finished yet and had the impression that they were trying to pressure us to leave. In addition, the tables and chairs were uncomfortable and the restaurant overall seemed very cramped, which made sitting less comfortable. Unfortunately, for my money I will prefer another restaurant in the future. I hope these comments are taken constructively to improve the guest experience. Best regards, Elvir S.

One of the top Greeks in Munich! Exuberant atmosphere, very friendly and fast service and incredibly delicious food. We particularly recommend the half chicken with lemon, the mixed warm starters and the fries as a side dish. We found value for money to be very fair! Additional bonus: free ouzo was distributed several times throughout the evening and at the end there was even a dessert on the house.

Melina is truly a special place! The young team brings so much warmth and energy that you immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is lively and modern, perfect if you want to spend a relaxing evening with friends. The food? Simply great. I can especially highly recommend the mixed starters! Everything is prepared with love and fresh ingredients, and you can taste the passion behind every dish. Yes, it can get a little louder, but that's part of the charming atmosphere of this store. For me, Melina is a real insider tip if you want to enjoy modern Greek cuisine in a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Used to be good, now just a rip off. Tzatziki has been available with fried eggplants for years. Now: herbal quark that only tastes like cheap parsley. Very Greek... The pimientos are bitter and unsalted, but are advertised on the menu as having sea salt. The bifteki suddenly comes with no side dishes, but with a pile of fried (!) onions, as if it were an onion roast, again very Greek. What was reduced in terms of side dish was added to the price: 18.80 for two lumps of meat - respect. And the pita is rock hard, which can be used for discus throwing. That was the last time. There's nothing left to discuss, and the staff doesn't care about anything anyway. Just a lousy and, above all, expensive disappointment.

The food and the atmosphere were great. The only thing that bothered me was that we weren't even asked if we wanted something more to drink, but after exactly 1.5 hours (even though we had a reservation for at least 2 hours) we were politely but emphatically asked to pay. as new guests were already waiting for the table... That changed the mood a bit and abruptly ended our otherwise lovely evening.

It was my first time in this restaurant and we were a group that went for dinner. When we arrived there our table wasn't ready but we were accommodated by the bar and got ouzo shots served which was a nice detail The waiter that served our table was extremely friendly and had a smile at all times. He gave us time to pick the food from the menu and explained the menu when necessary I ordered a Kalypso plate to share and the bifteki (minced beef patties) was very dried and burnt. The plate also had chicken souvlaki, which was a little dried but tasted good and gyros meat, served with tzaziki and onions. Also we had pimientos de padron, fried calamari and eggplant chips, which was one of the best things from all we ordered The ambiance was nice and warm. It was very full and we got a call from the restaurant to confirm the reservation I believe that it is best to make sure you will get a table by making a reservation in advance, especially on weekends The food in general was good but the best thing was the service and the facilities

We had a wonderful evening at Taverna Melina in Munich! The food was simply fantastic – authentic Greek, fresh and incredibly tasty. From the starters to the main courses, everything tasted excellent and the selection really leaves nothing to be desired. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive staff, who welcomed us warmly and served us with a smile. We felt completely at home and can only recommend this restaurant. Disaster, prices are abnormally expensive, long waiting times and you have to pay an additional side dish for the meat dishes. Beftiki + side dish approx. 26 euros

The best service I have had in Europe yet. Stellar atmosphere, drinks and food. We ordered the warm and cold mezedes, which was a FEAST for two.

Good food, friendly service, make sure to make a reservation. You have to order side dishes such as rice or fries separately for main courses. So it becomes quite expensive. In between there was ouzo.

Positive: Food was delicious, service was super friendly and welcoming. Negative: Food very expensive, very loud (also music), almost had to shout at us and very cramped, after two hours we were basically “kicked out” (albeit very friendly), as all reservations are limited to only 2 hours. That's really too little time, we had just eaten our main course, because we had also ordered starters, would have liked to have ordered dessert, espresso etc. but the waitress pointed out to us that we had to leave in 1 minute. Some of our glasses weren't empty either. It's a shame, that was extremely uncomfortable :(

I have been in this place a few times and I can say is one of the best greek restaurants I have ever been in. The food is super great quality and very tasty, and the restaurant itself with the effect of the warm lights creates a very comfy environment to have dinner. Just for information, if you are a big group and want to reserve a table, you have to get a menu (35-40€ each) and on top pay for the drinks :)

Food here is outstanding. Vibe on a busy night is chaotic and loud, but not in an unpleasant way. Get a reservation. At night the atmosphere is chic and well-lit. Did I say “Get a reservation”? I’m not joking. It’s worth it and if you want to enjoy your meal at a reasonable pace, you’ll be glad you booked ahead. Would 100% go back here again.

Typical Greek, busy, loud, a bit cramped and initially warmly welcomed. First impression great. Unfortunately it didn't stay that way for the rest of the evening. The food was very tasty and there were really exciting authentic dishes on the menu. Unfortunately the service was very bad, initially super friendly and nice. But: 5 drinks came 4 ways within 15-20 minutes. After we got the food the service practically stopped. Second round of drinks, which could be ordered after a long wait, simply didn't come. Music was at a discotheque level at some point. Unfortunately, it's not even remotely as warm as you're used to from a Greek restaurant. Probably a snapshot, but still not a nice dining experience. Despite the many guests, the food was very good.

We're 6 guys visiting from Belgium during Oktoberfest. The waiter was super nice. The food was amazing and the whole restaurant had an amazing vibe. Make sure to reserve your places! Because, understandably, they were full!

Food good, somewhat small portions for the money. Supplements must be ordered separately. Overall good store.

Update mid-late 2024: Unfortunately, our last visits weren't as great as they were 6 months ago. Apparently there have been structural changes here that have had a significant impact on the quality and service, and unfortunately for the negative. Here too, an attempt is probably being made to pass on the adjustment of the VAT to the original 19% to the customer, but unfortunately the overall impression of the last visits has disappointed us rather than being memorable. P/L is no longer correct and everything there is no longer authentically Greek. For us by far the best Greek in Munich. Not only is the price-performance ratio absolutely right here, but the cuisine is simply authentic and the overall package is just right here. We always enjoy eating here and look forward to it every time.
