Delicious and friendly service team

If you want to relive the 70s...then go for it. 5 people. 3 salads for the main course...borderline, boring, every plate looked different. The 70s are stuck in the past. My main course, medallions...smothered in mushroom cream sauce, drowned in a mountain of...drowsiness. Not a single piece of meat or garnish in sight. The other main courses weren't any better. What a shame...next time...without us.

Two out of three people are currently vomiting, and they're 100% sick of the restaurant experience. Number three was the only one who didn't have tzatziki!!

We had three different starters that didn't really blow us away. The food was lukewarm, and the atmosphere was more reminiscent of a train station concourse.

Super friendly staff, delicious (and plentiful) food. It was our first time here and we've been able to come more often.

After many years, I finally returned to Jannikos and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food tasted. The service was friendly and attentive. The only drawback is the ambiance. There's no table decorations at all; everything looks dated. But the food and the ouzo make up for it. I'd gladly go back.

We ate there a few years ago and were disappointed. Today we wanted to try again, and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. The food is poorly presented, the tzatziki appetizer wasn't homemade but pre-made from the supermarket. They simply took our salad without asking if we wanted it... The photos posted on the website don't reflect what you're ultimately served on your plate. The waiter asked us if we were satisfied, and we had to say no. He seemed a bit annoyed, but it didn't matter. We won't be eating there again. What a shame!

This is by far the best Greek restaurant I've ever been to. The food is delicious. The staff, especially Costa, is super friendly. We've been regulars for over 20 years and will continue to be.

The gyro was super tender and crispy – just as it should be! The Metaxa sauce was a dream: creamy, spicy, and perfectly seasoned. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere – we'll definitely be back!

We haven't been in for years because it didn't look very cozy from the outside. But now we've decided to give it a try because of the good reviews :) The food is amazing! Super delicious, perfectly seasoned, always grilled to perfection—simply top-notch! The staff is also very friendly; it seems like a big family. Yes, the ambiance takes a bit of getting used to. It's a bit like a pub from the 80s, but it also has a certain charm. We like going there, and since it's always packed, I guess everyone else does too :)

We were very disappointed with the food. The dough for the breaded zucchini and eggplant was half raw and the vegetables were almost raw and carelessly thickly sliced. We have never had such an unappetizing salad. It was neither fresh nor did it resemble an original Greek salad. A pink cocktail sauce from a plastic bottle sat on top of wilted, old lettuce. The service was unfriendly and slightly offended because we didn't eat the food.

WAS once the best Greek in Lichtenrade! We had our wedding dinner there 10 years ago. It was still very good until before Corona times! Food was plentiful and more than a side dish to the dishes. The waiters responded flexibly to requests for changes. Now it is overpriced and the portions are clear. When we asked whether we could also get garlic bread or the side dish “fresh vegetables” instead of the accompanying side dish (the only choices are fries, baked potatoes, rice or noodle rice), the answer was: “Yes, but only if you pay extra for it !” We had the lamb fillet (€24) and the grilled scampi (€21). Three quarters/half of the plate consisted of fries. Unfortunately the price is too high! The dining room is also very loud, so that it is reminiscent of a train station hall. It's a shame, it will probably be our last visit for the time being!

Really very tasty food offered here. I can recommend the 133 and the 27. It's really hard to get a table because every table was full on a Friday. Luckily we have reservations. The only thing to complain about is the volume when it's full. Otherwise, the taverna can only be recommended. We'll be back.

Music was way too loud we couldn't entertain ourselves

Were there for the first time with 7 people, the food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. The only downside is when it's almost full, it's very loud to have a conversation.

Great place for Grecian food. The staff is very hospitable. The food is authentic and tasty. The ambience is warm and welcoming. And, you get there opportunity to learn a bit of Greek language too. We'll visit again!

Very carelessly prepared food. Meat + side dish without decoration/salad like in the canteen. There is no Zarziki with the food, you have to order it for 6 euros. I have never experienced this in any Greek restaurant. My tip, there is a better restaurant not far away.

Very tasty food and great service

This Greek restaurant is an absolute delight! The meat was perfectly tender and pink, grilled to perfection and simply delicious. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, so you immediately feel at home here. It's particularly nice to be able to sit outside in the covered areas, even in bad weather. Which creates a relaxed atmosphere. The authentic Greek food and the cozy ambience round it off.

A pleasant restaurant with typical dishes at a good price. Without intrusive Ouzo animation.

It seemed to me like you didn't feel like working. Decorating meat and fries would have been very nice. The eye also eats. The food came cold. Looked like a children's portion. Ordered without fries, the price was the same as with fries. We did this while clearing away. The table was completely accessible, everything was passed across the table. The only thing that was good. It was the salad. Every little thing was charged extra.

Food was OK, the restaurant is very narrow inside and has a lot of tables. The toilets are rather old and should be renovated. All in all a Greek restaurant, nothing special. As I said, the food was okay, but not a highlight either. I've eaten better. There were four of us there, but we probably wouldn't go again. But a matter of taste.

A good Greek restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Waiter Kostas is almost an entertainer. He always has a quick saying on his lips. Basically, the team seems very harmonious.

The food was tasty, good, a bit carelessly prepared. Sitting outside gave us a bit of a holiday feeling as we know sitting on the street from Kos. The taverna is recommended.

Frozen and reheated casseroles. Raw meat that you send back several times and then the waitress doesn't understand why you don't want to give a tip. Absolutely not recommended.

Food and service as always very good. The prices have become a little more expensive.

This was our first time here and will also be our last visit. Food was carelessly thrown onto the plate, not a leaf of lettuce or anything similar, not a dollop of tzatziki. The “grilled” lamb shank has been in the sauce the whole time after production. Service also still has room for improvement. And that at high prices.

The meat was great, including the seasoning, but you just have to order everything separately, no tzatziki, no sauces... so unfortunately everything ended up being very dry. The store itself is very simply furnished, the service seemed more like a fast food restaurant than professional.

This is exactly the restaurant Udo Jürgens meant when he sang Greek wine! Costa and Co are working hard to satisfy their guests quickly, varied food and TWO terraces in the summer and all at reasonable prices: what more could you want?

We have been going to Jianikos for several years and have never been disappointed. The food is great, extra orders or requests are no problem. The only criticism is that you can be unlucky on the weekend without a reservation. The service (thanks Costa) is nice and attentive, the ouzos from the house fly damn low... Great restaurant with good food and great service. Keep it up.

Four of us spontaneously went for dinner at Jianikos. But that was the last time. The food was okay but the service was unfriendly. This has nothing to do with the Greek mentality. The order was taken without emotion. The food came very quickly and was simply thrown onto the table! I have never experienced anything like it. There was no ouzo before or after the meal, something I have never experienced in a Greek restaurant. No recommendation from me and no further visit either. There are much better Greeks in Berlin.

Food was standard, not bad but nothing special either. Good portions. Service is friendly. Ambience is rather old and pub-like.

I give this Greek restaurant a good 4 stars. The food here is really perfect. I have never eaten at a better Greek restaurant, everything was cooked to perfection and very well prepared. The lamb chop is soft like butter on the inside, with gentle roasted aromas on the outside. The Soutzoukaki was incredibly flavorful and there was a free piece of walnut cake for dessert. Unfortunately only 4 stars because of the ambience. The decor is very simple and you don't feel like you're on vacation. We found the regulars' table atmosphere slightly unpleasant; people stood in the aisle, talked loudly across tables and clinked glasses. There are probably some who rate this positively, but it's probably not the right thing for us as a small family who didn't want to explain the raunchy jokes that were made there to our daughter. Update 10 months later as a Lichtenrader who has now settled in: It is impossible not to give the tavern 5 stars. We're celebrating hard now. All the other dishes that I have tried since then are also excellent. This is the best restaurant I know.

One of the best Greeks in the south of Berlin! Especially with the heart of the restaurant, Costa! The appetizer platter and the Lqmmkottlets are a poem...

The children from Bahnhof Zoo could have prepared what I ordered better. At least they would have had more taste. If a meal is given 3 stars, I don't expect anything more. Still, I was disappointed. 17 euros for gyros with metaxa that is the size of a child's plate and tastes like nothing is disrespectful. It just had no taste. What I also don't recommend ordering is the 0.75 carbonated water bottle. I never thought that you could go wrong with water or at least that it was simply not drinkable. To give you an idea: Have you ever accidentally gotten water in your mouth in a swimming pool full of chlorine? Then you now know what to expect. The positive thing is that the restaurant was so loud because of all the people that you couldn't hear the music, which was a mix of rock and pop. At least not Greek.

Never again. Atmosphere (and crowd) like in a corner bar. Loud and flashy. Eating carelessly (tzatziki literally slapped onto a plate). Meat with fries on a plate, without anything (no onions or at least a lettuce leaf for decoration) like in a fast food restaurant. And it's not all cheap. That was nothing...

Dangerous!!! Anyone who comes here once will always come back.

Delicious Greek food and great service

Everything tastes great, but the lamb fillet and the saddle of lamb steak oooh... simply unsurpassable!!!

Restaurant clear 5 ***** rating! Food very very good. I love squid. A really big cinema is grilled here. But the classic gyros and co. are also highly recommended. Service is simply very nice.....always happy to come here.

The food was good, but unfortunately it wasn't prepared with much heart. Luckily I got the "sauce" in a separate container because it was more of a mush and not really tasty. Actually a nice restaurant, unfortunately there are no tablecloths and the salt and pepper shakers have seen better days. It seems a bit careless, but the whole thing could be improved with a little decoration and a cruet for salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. In their clothing, the staff looked more like conditions in a garden pub.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit typisch griechischen sehr leckeren Essen. Besonders die mega sympathische und lustige Bedienung läßt uns immer wieder kommen. Und Ouzo gibt es auch immer genug.

Gute bürgerliche griechische Küche. Der Service ist gut, unkompliziert und geht auf den Gast ein. Stimmung ist super.

Wir waren echt enttäuscht von Jianikos.Waren einen Moment lang nicht da, aber das Essen auf unseren Tellern wurde lieblos, farblos serviert. Wir hatten es schöner in Erinnerung. Wir saßen im halbdunkeln. Schade!!!!!!!

Sehr schmackhaftes Essen, nette Bedienung und schönes Ambiente. Allerdings muss man bei der Rechnung aufpassen, da die vollen 19% Mehrwertsteuer abgerechnet und kassiert werden anstatt der 7%, die noch bis Ende des Jahres gelten. Wir haben da locker 17 Euro zu viel bezahlt. Schade drum

Essen ist gut, Bedienung etwas unaufmerksam, Ambiente hat einen Touch von einer Berliner Kneipe. Die Preise sind noch einigermaßen akzeptabel.
