Absolutely fantastic! Really delicious food, exceptionally friendly staff, and a fantastic atmosphere. The food was freshly prepared, hot off the grill, and beautifully presented. Extremely friendly service, who sits down with you when you order; you simply feel at home there. A cozy restaurant is the best; I haven't had such a nice and delicious meal in a long time!

My visit to this Greek restaurant was a total disappointment. The food was completely tasteless, the meat dry, and the appetizer was clearly microwaved. The manager tried to appear friendly, but it all seemed fake. Honestly, I don't understand how such a place can have so many positive reviews. It was my first and last visit, and I regret every cent I spent.

I've been there several times – every time it's been fantastic! Authentic Greek, super delicious, and always fresh. The restaurant is busy, which is perfectly understandable. The mother and daughter serving are warm, welcoming, and offer truly personal service. It almost feels like a vacation. Highly recommended!

Authentic Greek food with heart! I’ve been coming here for years – always excellent dishes and exceptionally friendly service, especially from the owner. The Bifteki was a true highlight again. Important: Cash only. It gets very crowded on weekends – just come early, as reservations are usually not possible. A true feel-good place – traditional, delicious, and welcoming.

Taverna Amphipolis is a cozy place with a family atmosphere and a warm welcome. Everything feels simple and welcoming—you almost feel like you're visiting relatives. The portions are generous, and the food is delicious, classic Greek and prepared with love. Unfortunately, you have to wait quite a while. The dishes arrive noticeably late, and even contact with the service staff takes a while. If you want to spend a relaxing evening, this is fine—but if you're hungry or in a hurry, you'll need patience.

I was in Berlin for an examination and was hungry afterwards. Greek? Yes, good idea. Yes, that was it! A rustic restaurant, a friendly welcome, very good food and an absolutely likeable and friendly landlady who came to the table, had a good appetite and had a chat. Absolutely recommended. We'll definitely be back!

One of my absolute favorite Greek restaurants in Berlin. Super delicious food prepared with love by Greek moms. So you can be forgiven if it takes a little longer in a full restaurant. The owner is a great hostess who sometimes sits down at the table to chat with her guests. I can only warmly recommend a visit. :-)

We were here by chance because we didn't want to look for long and it paid off. A small, chic Greek restaurant that impresses with its excellent cuisine and friendly service. As a starter we had a farmer's salad, tzatziki with bread and garlic bread with tomato sauce. As a main course, stuffed eggplant and grilled chicken. The dishes are highly recommended - the portions are more than sufficient. The friendliness of the staff is second to none. It's also very affordable at €20 - €30 per person, including drinks. If you want to look for something that might be a drawback, it's the fact that you can only pay in cash. But that's not really a problem, you can withdraw money anywhere. Therefore 5 stars are definitely justified.

The food is incredibly delicious, and for a Greek restaurant there is an exorbitantly large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes, which I am very grateful for. The atmosphere is very familiar, comfortably furnished, absolutely fair in price, central location in Moabit. So again tomorrow. 😊

A Greek that has retained the flair from before. Family business with friendly service, the boss herself is always present. Lots of regulars, friendly atmosphere. The food is quite hearty, certainly not for every week, but once a month something like this is good!

We are back in Berlin after 5 years and we really wanted to go to the Taverna Amphipolis again. It's just like coming home, so warm, you just feel right at home and the food is so incredibly tasty, I've never eaten a better bifteki like this in my life. I liked it very much. Almost like Greece, warm welcome and loving service. Rustic decor. Price-performance ratio is okay. The pikilia and the stifado with rabbit were very tasty.

If you are looking for a Greek tavern in Berlin, this is definitely the address.. We came to this place for New Year's Eve and left with great pleasure. The owner, Athena, was incredibly hospitable and very friendly. The kitchen is spotless, it is a family business, we ordered 1 meat plate and 1 fish plate for dinner, it was quite a lot for 4 people, thank you very much for this perfect taste.. Also my love to Athena for making me feel at home🌺 Even though it was New Year's Eve, the price was very affordable.. The dessert treat was also delicious, thank you for everything 🌿

Good Greek restaurant with spectacularly prepared homemade food. Greek flavors and well-found spices. Restaurant with excellent service and very homemade. The “owner” takes care of you as if she were your own grandmother. Very good attention and treatment. The mousaka surprised me with its special cinnamon flavor.

My wife had souvlaki...normally I just steal a piece from her, but it was so extremely tasty...maybe. Even the best souvlaki we have ever had including in Greece. My gyro was wonderful too. Absolutely recommended... If we come to Berlin again...

Since the reviews are so good, we visited this restaurant. We were disappointed. Meat was dry and the dollop of tzatziki was not worth mentioning. Re-ordered tzatziki (very small portion) cost 4.50 euros… Seltzer was not refrigerated. The staff wasn't exactly friendly and the service was rather poor. No thanks were given for tips.

Had a wonderful evening at this special and warm place. Charming host Athena who looks after everyone so well. You feel like you are in Greece in a real family run restaurant. The food was fresh, simple and delicious as was the cold win. A very quiet street too which makes it very pleasant for outdoor dining or lunch. I will be back!

Boss Athena has been such an excellent landlady with a big heart for all these years. Authentic and always beautiful cuisine with many years of loyal customers enjoying cosiness. Everything is completely relaxed, as always, a little vacation in Greece is now a piece of home for us. Not just an enrichment but THE institution in the Moabit neighborhood! As always, a huge thank you to the entire team!

The food was of very good quality and we really liked it, original Greek home cooking is served. The owner is very friendly, our waitress was a bit taciturn, hence only 4 stars for the service. Authentic, familiar, hospitable and warm. There are large portions at fair prices. Greek music is playing and the interior offers a lot to discover. You can also eat outside among the green plants. Definitely a recommendation to visit the restaurant at least once.

Dinner for 7 people. We ordered several appetizers. And shared. We had this amazing bread with tomatoes. Fresh crunchy chewy delicious. We had a huge plate of the gyros amphipolis that was amazing. We also had vegetable plate with cucumber tomato, cheese, olives, pickled peppers. The flavors were wonderful. The portions were very generous. For desert along with this awesome cream filled pastry. I highly recommend this awesome spot. The food was amazing and delicious. The service was fantastic. I didn't take enough pictures. We will be back to this place .

The gyros is really just gyros with fries, onions and tzatziki. The taste was good but a bit dry and the portion size was a bit poor for €15. Because the dish was so dry, we ordered a dollop of tzatziki and a little surprise was included for free when we paid. The tzatziki should cost €4.5. Price performance is not quite right here and the usual feeling of Greek hospitality is also somewhat lacking here.

I was waiting for meal kinda long, but it was absolutely worth it. The staff doesn't speak english, but it wasn't problem at the end. I ordered Gyros with fries and tzaziki and it was so delicious. I recommend you to visit it here especially if you like greek food like me.

A big compliment for the vegan food selection and a very friendly lady in the restaurant. The ambience is great - you can sit nicely. The fact that ordering is self-service is good, it's just a lack of staff, we can all manage it. Unfortunately, the service spoke neither German nor English - communication was only possible with hand signals. That would be okay too. But: no card payment possible, extremely (!) long waiting times. The food was bland and bland. The appetizer came so late that we were almost finished. - Please season your food! Just a little salt and pepper would make it better - Most people understand a baked potato as a baked potato. In your case there were 2 individual potato wedges floating in the oil. You can do better - the food felt like it was 100 degrees when it arrived. Please just put the shells on a plate, we sat for another 15 minutes without being able to eat any of the glowing pieces. That was next-level temperature. - please make it clear beforehand that you do not accept card payments! It wasn't anywhere. - please communicate that you have to wait 40min-60min for the food. But those at the next table were very happy with their gyros. Maybe it's just the vegan dishes that still need a lot of oomph (spices!!!!). Unfortunately I couldn't get mine down (rare for me) and I went home very hungry.

One of my favourite places to eat. The family that runs it is really nice and the cooking is exactly what you would get on the best summer holiday you ever had! In particular, the lamb shank, octopus, gyros and rice is just excellent. The atmosphere is always great too, packed and lively without being too loud.

Friendly family business. Cozy and nice. Starter plate (cold) a bit sparse, gyros very good on the artemis plate, pasta on it a bit overcooked, green beans are on the German diet - so not enough oil. Therefore, points are deducted when eating. But a visit is definitely worth it.

Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Essen , wir sind zu dritt an einem Samstag Abend ohne Reservierung dort rein und wurden mit einer Herzlichkeit empfangen die ich so noch nicht erlebt habe...obwohl das Restaurant schon sehr gut besucht war hat die Chefin ( leider den Namen vergessen) sofort für uns Plätze organisiert, es wurde noch vor der Bestellung nett am Tisch geplaudert..man hat sich von anfang bis ende gefühlt als würde man bei alten Freunden im Wohnzimmer sitzen. Einfach toll! Fazit: Bei unserem nächsten Berlin Trip ein Pflichtbesuch. Dann aber mit Reservierung 😅

Hier gibt es noch authentisches griechisches Essen das einfach nur schmeckt. Man muss etwas warten da alles frisch gemacht wird aber der Geschmack entschädigt. Alles selbst gemacht und ohne Geschmacksverstärker. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist super fair. Die Chefin ist ein Unikum im positivem Sinne, unheimlich bemüht und herzlich. Athena Papadopoulou und ihre Familie bieten griechische Köstlichkeiten direkt im Zentrum von Berlin an. In der griechischen Mythologie ist Athena die Göttin der Weisheit, der Strategie, der Künste, des Handwerks und der Handarbeit, und vor allem Schutzgöttin und Namensgeberin der griechischen Stadt Athen. Nun, in der Taverna Amphipolis gibt es echten griechischen Wein und griechisches Essen zubereitet und serviert von einer griechischen Familie. Es schmeckt tatsächlich immer ausgezeichnet. Die Reisnudeln sind einzigartig, und das Zaziki und der Ouzo schmecken so gut wie in Griechenland. Bezahlen geht allerdings nur in Bar. Das spielt aber keine Rolle, weil der nächste Geldautomat an der Turmstraße nur ein paar Schritte entfernt liegt. Ob nun das liebevoll eingerichtete Interior oder die gastfreundliche Bewirtung, man merkt auf jeden Fall, dass der Inhaberin das Wohlbefinden der Gäste am Herzen liegt.

Amphipolis is always a great place to go! The personnel is friendly, they even speak English. You will really feel at home there. It’s a place with a very interesting background. Amphipolis is one of the very unique restaurants in Berlin ran only by women. Come here and enjoy the best of Greece in your own town. You won’t regret it.
