Nice, friendly, very popular, standard Greek menu, not overpriced

A family-friendly and neighborhood Greek restaurant par excellence. Delicious dishes at reasonable prices, friendly service, and wonderfully warm in winter. The only thing is, the side salad shouldn't be drowned in a rather questionable cocktail sauce. But it doesn't really detract from the overall experience.

Great restaurant, highly recommended. Always very busy, so reservations are strongly advised. Prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. We'll definitely be back.

The fish platter is unfortunately not recommended.

Excellent value for money from the food

The food was excellent and surprisingly inexpensive, in my opinion. The service was very friendly. I especially liked the atmosphere. It felt simple yet welcoming. Reservations are highly recommended.

The restaurant is always busy. You should make a reservation to get a table. The food is always delicious. For me, it's the best traditional Greek restaurant!

This is our fourth time here and we're delighted to have finally found a regular in our neighborhood. Kostas is always extremely friendly, and the rest of the staff also impresses with their warmth and good humor. You immediately feel at home. The food is simply unbeatably delicious and of top quality. The portion sizes are generous, and you can tell the passion the food is cooked with. It's especially worth mentioning: The prices appear to be from 2015, a real rarity in times of rising costs. Huge respect to the management for that! We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food is very good – all our special requests were accommodated :) My husband thought the appetizer was fantastic (the little fried fish). My souvlaki was fantastic – especially the ouzo. Finally found a good Greek restaurant in Berlin. We'd happily come back from North Rhine-Westphalia for this :).

The service was very attentive, friendly, and pleasant. Just what you'd expect from a Greek restaurant. The food was very good and the portions were generous. For "normal" eaters, an appetizer wasn't necessary. A small salad and bread were served first. We had the grilled meat and the gyro with fries. The gyro was very well seasoned. It was a bit crowded inside. The high occupancy that evening also suggested good quality. I would recommend a reservation, although we managed to get a table without one. We'd be happy to come back.

We ate at the Nea Knosso restaurant on August 30, 2025. I can't understand what the customers are saying. I can only say the food isn't authentic; it's just bad. I had a grill plate, and the meat was completely cooked. My wife's meal, liver with fries, was completely greasy. We mentioned it, and they said it was olive oil, which was regular cooking oil. The small salad that was brought had a sauce dressing from a bottle. The restaurant has remained stuck in the 80s when it comes to cooking; they haven't changed anything in 43 years. I can't recommend the restaurant at all. The food was served carelessly. But as I said, it's all a matter of taste.

Great - always. But what's going on? Where's the ouzo?

If there were more stars, I would give this restaurant more. We didn't reserve a table, but we were seated anyway and were made to feel very welcome. We felt very comfortable there. The food was amazing, the service was really excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. I would be happy to return to this restaurant on my next visit to Berlin.

Highly recommended. I don't usually write reviews unless I've had exceptionally good service and, of course, good food. None have been an exception. I highly recommend them for their excellent product quality, service, and fair price. I would definitely go back.

This Greek restaurant is unique. We've been going there exclusively for decades! Truly authentic, and the food is sensational. The super friendly, long-serving staff pamper guests as if they were sitting in a taverna on Crete. Thank you so much.

If you’re visiting, this place will make you feel at home. The tomato soup w/ lamb and the Greek salad tasted amazing. I got the rump steak with potatoes and tzatziki. Wife got the chicken soublaki. Chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry, and substituted French fries for rice and ate entire meal. Happy we came here, seems like most of the people here are locals and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Eating like you're in Greece with friends. Even when the place is full, you'll be warmly welcomed, and they'll always try to find a seat. If you have to wait, they'll give you an ouzo for good friends 😉 The food tastes excellent. Be sure to order the tzatziki. Delicious!

Another great restaurant in the neighborhood. Got a table right away on a Friday evening at 8 p.m. Quickly served, delicious, and a sufficient, not overly generous portion. Just right. The servers were friendly, personable, and attentive. We had ouzo in between, and quite honestly, I felt very comfortable in this unpretentious restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere. The noise level was appropriate for the crowd.

The service was nice and friendly, the atmosphere was calm and simple but appropriate. The food was delicious and really something for every taste! Starting with the small From the salad to the tzatziki, olives, pepperoni and bread to the sardines, the starters were all very tasty! There was nothing to complain about with the main courses either and it just tasted good. At the end we had an ouzo and we went home full and satisfied

The coziest tavern in Greece...

Thanks to the right friends, they brought me to the restaurant. Nothing fancy, Micki important, down-to-earth, pleasant and somehow had a good feeling in there. Nice owner and nice staff and delicious food. No wonder the “living room” is full.

Absolutely recommended. No matter what time we are there, the food is of consistently very good quality. The landlord and the staff are friendly and accommodating and that's not because of the ouzo that is served every now and then ;) Price-performance ratio is extremely reasonable.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is very tasty and sufficient. Unfortunately, the tavern is often very busy, especially on weekends. This makes it a bit cramped. It is advisable to reserve in advance. The innkeeper is very attentive. The dining room is a bit overheated, especially when it is very full.

As a Greek, I can say that the food is not bad and the service is friendly too. When we asked for oil for the bread, we were given a small carafe of cooking oil - not olive oil. When we asked, we were told that the operator no longer buys olive oil... Offering Greek dishes, especially salads and starters, with clear, transparent and tasteless cooking oil is fine in my opinion. Not at all, it's far from authentic and we won't be going back.

Our favorite Greek restaurant for almost forty years and Kosta has been caring for its guests attentively and lovingly for just as long. The selection is just as large as the portions. Everything delicious and perfectly prepared in the “Crete style”. That's why many regular customers come back again and again, like us! Kosta also tries to keep prices as stable as possible and then it tastes even better. Always a nice experience with the whole family.

I've been coming here with the family for over 20 years. For me there is absolutely no better Greek restaurant. Delicious, inexpensive, warm. A real neighborhood living room.

Great restaurant with a wide selection of food and drinks. Everything tastes good and you'll want to come back soon. Served in the restaurant and in the bar garden. The toilets are clean and the employees are always friendly.

We were warmly greeted with a handshake, even though it was our first time in Nea Knosso. Luckily we had a reservation, it was Saturday and the restaurant was full to the last table. Of course, this is somewhat at the expense of the comfort, it was quite loud. But an ouzo immediately put us in a mild mood. The food was fantastic and the prices were moderate. But what was most impressive was the warmth, thank you and keep it up

Very family friendly. Staff very nice. Food was delicious, portions were completely sufficient. We had an appetizer platter for 1 and four of us ate it. Main courses were also very good meat tender. Definitely recommended. Thanks for the ouzo served by the house for the over 18s. It is no longer a given that something is available for free.

The Nea Knosso in Berlin is a nice restaurant for a relaxed evening. 😊 The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very friendly. We had to wait a little longer for our food, but it was worth it - the main courses were tasty and well prepared. But Nea Knosso is definitely worth a visit if you want to enjoy solid Greek cuisine in pleasant surroundings. 🌟

Great food, original Greek dishes just great

First of all, my favorite Greek! Reserve a table for 4 4 days in advance, that's a requirement, it's always full here. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a Greek tervern, it is very cozy, you enjoy being here. The waiters are always nice and friendly, always with a bottle of ouzo in their hand, so there's a round for everyone. At the beginning we had both the cold and the warm starter platter, both of which were very tasty. For the main course we had baked eggplant, the bifteki, a grilled skewer, and the grilled plate with lamb, steak and chicken. What can I say, we were all thrilled, the lamb was on point, the steak was still medium and the chicken was tender. Even though it was very crowded, we were able to have a pleasant conversation. All in all, a cozy evening with friends with delicious food. See you next time!

Unfortunately the food was a disaster...a bifteki was supposed to be filled with feta, but instead I got a dry piece of minced meat. The only excuse was that we didn't have any more feta. But then the bill was charged completely without any explanation, that was pretty cheeky!! It's a shame and not worth a second visit.

We weren't entirely impressed, but the service was friendly. We didn't really like the atmosphere. The food was okay, only very small for my companion...

While I was staying at the hotel Carolinenhof for a week for a work trip, I went each night for dinner to this neighboring Greek restaurant. Fantastic family atmosphere thanks to Kostas and his team. Delicious Greek food and being from Crete, I felt I was coming each evening home to my second Greek family. Highly recommend!

They have been satisfied regular customers for years. The quality of the food, preparation and presentation is always great. The warm and considerate owner Costa is worth mentioning.

We were here for the second time in a larger group and would love to come back. Very warm hosts with good cuisine. Everyone enjoyed it very much and the price was good too.
