Samos in Berlin

Overall it was a great evening, the food was great, the ambience was typically Greek, only the waiter needed to practice smiling a little but everything was brought to us in good time. We'll definitely come back.

The food and service here are always great. My team always eats at Samos at least one when we're in town.

Rustic Greek. Nice service and atmosphere. The food also tasted very tasty, large portions. Had bifteki with gyros in Metaxa sauce for 18 euros. The price was completely okay and as I said, we enjoyed it very much. We will definitely come back again. Thank you very much ☺️😎👌🏼

Real Greek in Charlottenburg! Excellent food in a rustic atmosphere, the landlord Christoph is the soul of the house.

Amazing! This was our 2nd adventure to Samos - and now it is going to be a regular stop on our trips to Berlin. The food was tasty, service was quick and very attentive. The staff make you feel welcome and like you have stepped into a family home - nothing is a trouble and everything is with a hearty smile.

Overall it was tasty and filling. Service was quite friendly. Very loud conversations but you get used to it. A little more spice could have been used. We sat inside by the window, the walls could have been given a new coat of paint and the beautiful pictures could have been wiped down, I thought that was a shame.

Great food, good value for money. Unfortunately, the large hall has something of a waiting room feel to it.

Very nice, tasty, if not exceptionally tasty food. Even if you are looking for a vegetarian alternative, you will find it, which is not a given with Greeks. Moderate prices for the area. The interior is nice, but it's too loud and crowded when it's full, and then the service doesn't really keep up. Therefore a solid 4 out of 5 stars, still an absolute recommendation.

Delicious Greek cuisine with generous portions, affordable prices and very friendly service. The only thing that was lacking in high temperatures was the lack of air conditioning. However, this is complaining at a high level.

Always hospitable and courteous service - but not all servers offer the Uzo first or second. Food very good - lunch with small portions but just as good.

For a Greek restaurant, I expected something a bit different. The meat for souvlaki on a skewer was not cut correctly in cubes.. it was flat meat cut in small pieces. The tzatziki didn’t have cucumber in it. It was only yogurt and garlic. However, the portions were more than enough.

We sat outside and it was very comfortable.

Large portions - but the gyros were very fatty, gristly and lacked spices. 5 different waiters without any Corona protection measures serve a table. Toilets? Awful. Update 2024: Prices have been raised extremely and the side salad has simply been deleted - this corresponds to a whopping price increase of 5-6 euros/dish. Toilets are still disgusting.

I have known and been visiting the restaurant for 29 years now. The dishes have undergone many changes over time, but one thing has always remained: delicious! The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is family. Worth a visit!

One star for the beer. Food was basically good, but far more over salted! How else could i put it: they just dropped a fist of salt in it! My bifteki were barelly eatable, but the "special" gyros of my wife impossible to approach. On the chips you can see a strong crust of assesonement. Indifferent service, but very friendly with some local/more-frequent customers.

The food was extremly salty, impossible to eat. Moreover, the waiter was rude and unwelcoming.

Holiday, but reporting it online is too much effort. Drove half an hour for nothing...

Delicious Greek restaurant in a nice area of ​​Berlin.

There were three of us eating there. Large portions, really inexpensive for Kudamm standards, there was nothing to complain about. Update July 2024 The food was really very good, extremely nice staff who made every effort to accommodate the numerous guests. 50 euros including drinks and absolutely full for 3 people and that on the Kudamm.

I ordered pita gyros over the phone, they just didn't taste good at all, there was no salt and the chicken wasn't baked through. Sorry, it was the first time and the last time, I just want to share my experience. Thanks

The only drawback was that my rice noodles were definitely too soft. Otherwise the food was good and the portions were large and reasonably priced. The Greek vocabulary on the napkin was also interesting. Everything around was okay too. It was also nice that I was able to call at lunchtime and get a table for the evening (although it was also during the week).

The food was thrown on the plate a bit carelessly. Portions huge. The pieces of gyro were way too big. The rice noodles were completely overcooked and without salt. The Taramas was far too soft and unfortunately no longer recognizable as roe. It was way too fatty. If you want large portions, this is the place for you! Prices quite cheap! The young man from the service was very nice!!!!!!

We discovered this restaurant by chance and were 100% impressed by the service and food. The ambience doesn't have to be hidden and you can eat here very comfortably.

Super friendly staff, you walk into the restaurant and are immediately greeted in a friendly manner. The food was brought to the table very quickly after ordering. It was very delicious. The mango schnapps is a real recommendation. I'll be back :)

Nice restaurant where you can sit outside. Food tastes good and is plentiful. A small salad or general garnish would have been nice with the dish. And if you order a bottle of water and you get a plastic bottle from the supermarket, I think that's very inappropriate for a restaurant. This is snack bar level. But otherwise everything was ok.

The food was great and well-cooked. The service was friendly and the place felt cOZy. Order Tzatziki Sauce on the side since it doesn't come with most dishes. All gyros are pork, but it's not listed on the menu. A nice spot for a good meal.

Really delicious food, nice service and nice ambience. I didn't really like the potato side dish, but that's definitely a matter of taste. The lamb skewer is recommended.

The service is very friendly, professional and attentive, and the restaurant is cozy. However, the tarama was tasteless and the grilled peppers on the samos plate consisted of a thin strip of pepper. Unfortunately, the baked feta is frozen and not grilled in aluminum foil. The bread you get is beyond question in terms of consistency and taste. However, the dry white wine was excellent. I ate much better here 15 years ago. It's a shame, because I like the "Samos".

A terrific host. The entire team is courteous and lovely. Great food, the lamb chops are super tasty. Upon request, an individual platter of fish and meat can also be served. It doesn't get any better.

The dishes we selected were top. A Greek to feel good about. As is often the case, little attention is paid to well-maintained sanitary facilities. These can only be reached via steep stairs. So be careful if you have limited mobility.

The restaurant is getting old, so the ambience is a bit dingy, the service was good, but other guests were disruptive while eating during a video conference with grandma and the staff didn't turn it off, had to go there myself 😐 the food was quite expensive and the quality wasn't that good anymore like before, we both didn't tolerate it so well and we love Greek food, it's a shame...

Long-established Greek restaurant in Wilmersdorf. Visited again after a long time and only disappointed. In need of renovation, the toilets don't work at all❗️ I also remembered the food much better. To put it briefly, there seems to be a reason why we haven't been there for so long and why we won't be coming back any time soon.

A completely normal Greek restaurant without any chichi.

Ich war gestern Nachmittag in Charlottenburg in einem Geschäft etwas einkaufen und hatte danach Hunger! Zuerst fiel mir ein Restaurant in dieser Gegend um die Leibnizstraße ins Auge, in welchem ich im Mai 2019 einmal und zwar hervorragend gegessen hatte! Obwohl ich genau wusste, wo sich das damalige Lokal befand, fand ich es nicht mehr! Offensichtlich hatte der Pächter aufgehört! Also musste eine Alternative her, großartig herumlaufen oder -fahren wollte ich aber nicht mehr! Da stieß mir in der Leibnizstraße, nicht weit vom Olivaer Platz das griechische Restaurant SAMOS ins Auge! Ich bin also hin, um draußen zunächst die sehr umfangreiche Speise- und Getränkekarte zu studieren! Da mich die Karte überzeugte, beschloss ich, es mit diesem Restaurant zu versuchen und wurde nicht enttäuscht! Ganz im Gegenteil! Ein Kellner fand einen sehr schönen Platz für mich und legte mir sofort die Karte vor. Zuerst blickte ich mich im Lokal um und was ich sah, das gefiel mir sehr, sehr gut! Da kam Urlaubsstimmung auf, denn ich hatte schon öfter Urlaub in Griechenland gemacht, sowohl auf dem Festland als auch auf Korfu und Kreta! Es ist unglaublich gemütlich im SAMOS! Die Bestellung wurde auch sehr schnell aufgenommen und ein Mann ging im Restaurant mit einem Tablett voller Gläser mit Ouzo herum. Der Ouzo ging selbstverständlich aufs Haus. Bestellt hatte ich mir zu Essen eine Fasolada, griechische Bohnensuppe, die nicht nur reichlich, sondern auch sehr lecker war. Dazu wurde Brot gereicht, offensichtlich selbst gebacken, denn es schmeckte nicht nur sehr gut, sondern es war auch frisch! Als Hauptgericht hatte ich die Moussaka, eine s meiner griechischen Lieblingsgerichte. Die Moussaka war herrlich und sehr lecker! Ich liebe ja die griechische Küche und bedauere es sehr, dass es leider nicht mehr so viele griechische Restaurants gibt, da mittlerweile fast zu viele Asia-Restaurants und auch Italiener gibt! Nichts gegen Asia-Food und nichts gegen Pizzerien, aber es sollte doch wie früher in den 1980er Jahren wieder deutlich mehr griechische Restaurants geben, denn die griechische Küche gehört zu den besten der Welt. Als ich mit Essen fertig war und mir nochmal eine Berliner Weiße und dazu einen doppelten Espresso bestellt hatte, bekam ich auch nochmal einen weiteren Ouzo aufs Haus. Ich liebe Ouzo, dieser herrliche Geschmack nach Anis! Einfach göttlich! Ich habe vor, demnächst nochmal das SAMOS zu besuchen, es lohnt sich einfach sehr! Der Betrieb ist in familiärer Hand und die Begrüßung der Gäste sowie die Bedienung sind sehr herzlich und aufmerksam! Man fühlt sich einfach wohl dort und das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist ausgewogen und sehr fair! Das Einzige, was mir nicht so gefällt, ist, dass die Räumlichkeiten für die Herrentoilette sehr, sehr beengt sind, aber das ist dem Gebäude geschuldet! Das Personal und die Pächter können dafür nichts! Wirklich schön, dass es doch noch hie und da griechische Restaurants in Deutschland gibt

A 5 out of 5! The service is very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the pepper shaker broke open and my salad was no longer eaten, so I got a new one. We had the two skewers with gyros and fries. Everything was super tasty. The gyros tasted the best in Berlin so far! The sweet ones were also very tasty! The portions are large and the price is great. Everything else is, as always at Greek restaurants, a little more expensive, but the portions are accordingly. You won't be disappointed! Absolute recommendation!

Das ist mit Abstand das beste griechische Restaurant, in dem ich je gegessen habe! Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und die Portionen sind auch riesig. Es gibt sogar vor und nach dem Essen einen Ouzo. Hier bekommt man noch etwas für sein Geld. Preis/Leistung passt hier einfach. Die Mitarbeiter sind hier auch sehr freundlich. Wir kommen leider aus Augsburg, sonst würden wir öfter kommen. Wenn wir wieder in Berlin sind, dann kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

Das Essen ist super,typisch griechisch. Das Personal bemüht und freundlich. Das Ambiente ist old scool und die Toilette gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Die Speisekarte bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an griechischen Köstlichkeiten, die wirklich jedem Geschmack gerecht werden. Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis top, Portionen sind sehr großzügig bemessen und die Qualität des Essens rechtfertigt vollkommen den Preis. Man bekommt hier wirklich etwas was für sein Geld!

Wir waren spontan im Samos und waren begeistert. Service top sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen war mega lecker und wirklich eine große Portion Preisleistung stimmt. Kommen gerne wieder Yamas 😃
