Kind, polite service, heavenly flavors, delicious Indian/German beer, which was needed to accompany the "medium spicy" dishes measured on the Indian scale. There are tables inside and outside.

The food was good and the service too, but the ambience could have been a little more "Indian". The facility has a few unsightly spots here and there. But all in all a good place if you want a quick Indian meal.

We were from Australia and travelling around Germany. After having loads of German food we were looking to fill our taste buds with some Indian food when we were in Weimar. We found this great restaurant and their chicken biriyani, naan and chicken tikka masala was amazing. The biriyani was one of the best’s we had.

A very good Indian restaurant that we happened to visit on our Weimar vacation. The friendly waitress answered our questions about the Indian specialties and served us courteously. Had the 100 "DUCK DHANSAK" with duck, prepared in an unusual combination of lentils and spices in a medium hot curry sauce and with Bhatura the Indian balloon bread. Highly recommended.

Best Indian in Weimar and the surrounding area - highly recommended. Every dish tastes excellent. No matter whether meat or vegetarian/vegan food. There is a wide selection. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is also very accommodating.

We had dinner with the family on Friday without a reservation and got a table straight away. Our server was friendly, attentive, quick and efficient. Our drinks came quickly, as did the food. All the dishes were authentic, super tasty and filled you up. Our waiter immediately offered more rice when it ran out. All guests also received a mango schnapps on the house. The atmosphere was super pleasant and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quantity and quality of the food. All in all a successful evening! Gladly again :D

We have been to many Indian restaurants but this one in Weimar surpassed them all. Very good value for money and super friendly staff. When we left the ambience we decided to come back the next evening. Highly recommended for a stay in Weimar.

We usually order the take out . They have the best lunch menu . We are warmly welcomed with the glass of mango lassi. The food is heavenly delicious !!

Da wir momentan in Weimar Urlaub machen und Lust auf würziges Abendbrot hatten ging's ab zum Inder. Als Vorspeise nahmen wir onion bhaji welche in der Beschreibung als "Zwiebelringe speziell gewürzt mit Kichererbsenmehl umhüllt" beschrieben wird. Es hat nixs mit Zwiebelringen zu tun, würde es eher als Kichererbsenmasse mit Zwiebelstücken beschreiben. Aber trotzdem lecker abgeschmeckt. Hauptgerichte waren Mix karahi und Lamm bhindu. Dazu wurde eine große Schale Reis gereicht. Mein Weibchen und ich waren beide sehr sehr zufrieden. Es war würzig und das Fleisch schön zart und saftig. Es wäre eine Überlegung wert etwas zum nachwürzen auch den Tisch zu stellen. Ich hätte an diesem Abend schon Lust auf etwas schärfer gehabt. Bei einem indischen Restaurant bestelle ich niemals von Haus aus scharf, habe da schon richtig böse Erfahrungen gesammelt 🤣. Ob die Gerichte authentisch sind kann ich nicht beurteilen, war noch nicht in Indien. Es war aber einer der besten indischen Restaurant in dem ich bisher war. Manch einer schrieb "preiswert", ich empfand die Preise in der Abendkarte normaler Durchschnitt. Alles im allen würde ich wieder kommen wenn es mich eines Tages wieder nach Weimar verschlägt und ich Lust auf indisch habe.

Wir gehen jedes mal hier essen, wenn wir den Weimarer Zwiebelmarkt besuchen. Die indischen Speisen sind sehr lecker und in der aktuellen Zeit unvergleichlich günstig mit ca. 50€ für 3 Personem mit Getränk. Meine Favouriten sind Lammgerichte (16,50€-17,50€) besonders mit Kokos und Erdnuss-Soße. Die Huhn-Curry-Ingwer-Bowls (ab ca. 15,50€) sind auch schmackhaft. Die Wand-Zeichnungen einer Design-Firma finde ich toll.

It is a good option for Indian cuisine in Weimar. I have mostly tried vegetarian food here, and have not been disappointed.

sehr netter und schneller service, haben noch einen mangoschnaps aufs haus bekommen und reis-nachschub gab es auch. das essen war super lecker und reichlich mit vielen vegetarischen optionen und die schöne warme atmosphäre rundet das ganze ab. kommen gerne wieder !

Mit 6 Personen dort gewesen! Getränke haben etwas gedauert! Essen war echt spitze! Hat sehr gut geschmeckt! Aber der Service! Jedem wird quer über den Tisch sein Getränk gereicht. Ähnliches beim Essen! Statt das ich noch etwas zu trinken bestellen kann wird abgeräumt. Da könnten echt noch ein paar Euro verdient werden! Aber gut dann halt nicht. Nun die Rechnung die getrennt werden sollte! 🤦‍♂️ Ist nicht möglich! Der Kassenzettel wird auf den Tisch gelegt und es wird ein Schritt zurück gegangen! Gesetz dem Motto macht mal selber! Hammer! Wir werden das nächste mal doch den anderen Inder probieren!

Service war etwas überfordert bei vollem Haus Abends. Sprachbarriere leider auch schwierig. Essen war aber top.

Haben uns spontan entschieden am Sonntag Abend dort zu essen und haben problemlos einen Tisch bekommen. Man kann auch draußen sitzen, wir haben uns jedoch aufgrund der Lage an einer recht viel befahrenen Straße, für einen Platz innen entschieden. Mit gefiel das Ambiente sehr gut, es ist schön beleuchtet und es gibt einige, schöne Wandbilder. Die Musik ist ebenfalls sehr passend und untermalt die gemütliche Stimmung. Das Angebot an vegetarischen Speisen ist sehr gut, konnte mich kaum entscheiden was ich nehme. Am Ende entschied ich mich für ein Mango Vegetable (Gemüse in Mango-Curry Soße). Zu beiden Gerichten, die wir bestellten gab es sehr leckeren Basmati-Reis. Zusätzlich haben wir uns noch eine Portion Naan bestellt, welches auch sehr, sehr lecker war. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Rundum zufrieden! Essen sehr lecker und absolut authentisch! Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Und das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr einladend! Man kann auch draußen sitzen, allerdings ist hier direkt eine Straße und die ist stark befahren. Dafür ist der Innenbereich wirklich schön! Definitiv empfehlenswert! Komme auf jedenfall wieder!

House of India serves up traditional, delicious Indian food. It is a smaller place and everything is made fresh so be prepared to wait a while, especially if you have a large party, but the wait is worth it. I started with the Samosas which had a perfect crunch on the inside and were packed full of flavor. I had the Butter Chicken with naan and it was great, some of the best Indian I have had.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Esser war sehr, sehr lecker. Hatten telefonisch bestellt und abgeholt. Alles super. Man hat uns zu trinken angeboten wenn das Essen noch nicht fertig war. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach himmlisch. Werde immer wieder essen gehen. Hab schon in anderen indischen Restaurant gegessen aber hier schmeckt es mir am besten.

Wir sind auch Stunden später noch immer fasziniert von dem leckeren Essen und der sehr netten Bedienung am heutigen Abend! Auch der leckere Mangodrink war mega!Wir wohnen leider nicht hier ,sonst wären wir sehr oft an diesem Ort‼️

Very average Indian food, all dishes are fundamentally the same. Naan were below average both butter and chicken naan. Staff is nice and freindly. Annoying music in background sounds like religious singing goes on forever. Microwave beeping noise from kitchen. Nothing special here. Nothing authentic
