Great ambience. Delicious food.

The price-performance ratio was not good: some of the food was cold, the service was inattentive - we would have liked to have had more to drink.

We were here at the Remise for brunch today and were overwhelmed by the friendly welcome, the extensive selection of food and the loving service.

5 stars, easily improved. Based on the last episode of "My Local, Your Local," we wanted to test the quality of the restaurant at the Alte Remise to see if it was up to par without cameras. And what can I say? It was very good, with slight improvements. The welcome was attentive, even though the ala Kart section had just started again at 5 p.m. on Sunday evening. The buffet was still being cleared, and a larger group was just leaving. Our table was ready, but we had to fill out the "Corona List" by hand. Why isn't there a QR code to scan in the Remise yet? The drinks arrived quickly, and so did the food. My veal liver was excellent!!! I usually leave the apples on my plate, but in the Remise they were so good that I wanted to eat them for the first time in a long time. The "fried potato mash" was unusual but very, very good. A friend and my wife had the ox cheeks, which were also very good. The only strange thing was that there was more meat on one plate than on the other. How can the portion of the same dish be so different, and that for just under 20 euros??? Of course, given the large space, two employees are a bit overwhelmed when it's full, handling requests for drinks or other things. Of course, empty plates sometimes stay on the table a little longer, as was the case with us. But I was a bit more relaxed about that than some of the reviews about the Alte Remise before me. What's absolutely unacceptable, however, is the lax handling of Corona or the implementation of the Thuringian regulations!!! We were only asked for proof of vaccination or a Corona test, but the employee didn't want to see them??? Our completed attendance slip was also lying next to our table on the heater the whole time. Had we taken it with us, no one would have been able to track our data, and even when we wanted to leave, no one took our sensitive data, including name and phone number, and put it in a safe place. I then put it in the checkout area; who knows where the slip ended up? So if guests can log in securely using a QR code and if all portions are the same size, 5 stars are justified!!!

Nicely located by the park, but also a bit too expensive

If you are looking for something special that deserves a toque or star, you should let yourself be pampered. Great location, great service, pleasant atmosphere, food: very good ox cheeks...with creamed savoy cabbage and dumplings Greetings from the kitchen: two different spreads with bagutte...

Four of us had dinner in the Alte Remise and are still absolutely thrilled. Very nice location, fireplace, pleasant background music, high-quality furnishings, perfect table culture. The staff is very personable, unobtrusively present, very competent in their advice. And then the food... The deer is incredibly tender, has a fine gamey taste, and the side dishes are sophisticated. A pleasure. I was the only one who was here for the first time, but like my companion I am a committed repeat offender. There was and is definitely nothing to complain about.

Very nice atmosphere, delicious Christmas dinner and very, very friendly hosts, gladly again.

The meals were extremely tasty. But also in the high price range. Staff friendly. Restaurant very cozy and inviting. Coachman's room separate. Costs rent. Unfortunately very cold. Not a restaurant for every day. It's something special 😊.

The large fireplace contributed significantly to the feeling of well-being. We'll be back.

On the occasion of my birthday I went to the buffet on Sunday in the Alte Remise and the rustic ambience with a warm fireplace and direct location to Tiefurter Park are really excellent. You immediately feel invited and comfortable, especially because of the great staff. The food is selected and local cuisine, no matter what you try, everything is of excellent quality, deliciously seasoned and homemade. This is very rare to find today! Many thanks to the team and see you again! 🙏🏻

The food was great, I had the Duroc pork steak. Nice and juicy fried. The ambience is also really worth seeing.

It's a historical beautiful place, if you want to be in nature, or don't want to go back at night after the party downstairs; Good choice if you stay one or two nights macimum, with shared bathroom and kitchen for several rooms. It has long stairs and you better not to take heavy luggages. the nature around is so beautiful and the restaurant is so elegant, but it clised some days, so better to check before you go. the bus stop is within 4 minutes walk.

Great restaurant with delicious food and very friendly service

Ich war heute 13.00 Uhr mit meiner Frau in der alten Remise zum Mittagessen. Ich hatte ein gebackenes Eisbein mit Klößen für 27,00 Euro. Es war grausig. Das Essen war kalt, und es waren die Restanten vom Vortagesbuffet. Der Kloß war innen eiskalt, also nicht mal richtig aufgewärmt. Das gleiche bei dem Eisbein. Für 27,00 Euro sollte man doch erwarten dürfen, das man ein frisch zubereitetes Essen bekommt. Meine Frau hatte Roulade und Klöße. Auch hier das gleiche Spiel. Eiskalt und vom Vortag. Wir haben 64,00 Euro gezahlt (incl. Getränke) und sind zu tiefst enttäuscht von der Leistung des Küchenteams in diesem Lokal.

This is a very beautiful restaurant in the middle of a historical place and beautiful nature; The chef and staff are super friendly and inviting, food is great, the portion is big, the atmosphere is designed nice and warm. I recommend it for gatherings, having a decent German food with family and friends, or throw an elegant party.

It's 5:02 p.m., Sunday. There is no more coffee and cake. Dinner is set. Too bad.

My husband and I had dinner in the coach house on October 5th (it was our wedding anniversary). We were excited and what can I say, it was just great! A culinary delight at its finest. We can't remember when or where we ever had such good food in Weimar or the surrounding area. Big compliments again to the kitchen!!! We would love to come back and can only recommend your restaurant. THANKS!

An incredible experience! I ordered a house wine, 0.2l for €8, a hefty price, but it was very good. My friend ordered a white wine scholar 0.5l. When the bill came, I couldn't believe my eyes, the spritzer cost €17, I'm sorry, but that's outrageous and disproportionate.

Reserved a table online at relatively short notice, arrived full of anticipation and it was a perfect evening. Very attentive and friendly service team, a great atmosphere and, above all, delicious food (the price-performance ratio is definitely right!). We'll definitely be back!

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant and it is my favourite place in all of Weimar. It was recommended to me by some locals - and quite right. I went to 10-15 venues in and around Weimar and this is our clear favourite. Absolutely stunning setting (Tiefurt and the river are gorgeous - worth the walk from Weimar) and the food is truly fabulous. We are vegetarians and I would strongly recommend the (vegan) curry and the tagliatelle are amazing. I would also like to mention how friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming the team are, most notably Eugene. I would recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family. Definitely one of not the best restaurant within the Weimar region. Also outstanding value. Eugene - thank you. We will back soon

Unfortunately, all the dishes were only lukewarm... and not seasoned... (there were no shakers at the table)... instead of tagliatelle there was spaghetti... the apology was subterranean, and the resolution was only given at the end... Confusion in the kitchen... but there was no (not even small) sign of the gastronomy on it, .... it is therefore better to reject it... Fried potatoes were too dark. Dry Wiener Schnitzel. Thuringian dumplings usually taste good... this one was a variation... much too big... therefore dry... and without salt... So despite the great atmosphere, it's better to bring your own sandwiches. Sipping a few beers outside seems like a good alternative... the leftover schnitzel to take away... It was actually delivered wrapped in aluminum foil. Unfortunately no professionals at the start...

We had dinner twice. The food, ambience and friendly staff are first class. We really liked the fact that almost only local specialties are offered. The wonderful park is perfect for a stroll after dinner. A "Utlöper" - the herbal liqueur Wildsau - was a poem. Weimar is totally relaxed.

Very bad service. The two waiters there can neither speak German nor English. The food is ok but not worth the money.

Ich war in der Alten Remise zum Mittagessen. Vorher habe ich mir den Park und das Schloss 🏰 Tiefurt angeschaut. Das hat zeitlich gut gepasst. Erst einen Spaziergang durch den Park, dann um 11:00 Uhr ins Schloss (öffnet um diese Zeit) und zum Mittagessen in die Alte Remise direkt neben dem Schloss. Das Essen war sehr gut, Ambiente und Atmosphäre ebenfalls. Sicherlich gehobenes Preisniveau, das muss man akzeptieren, wenn man hier zum Essen geht. Ich war gerne dort.

Wir waren heut (20.05.24) zum Pfingstessen in der Remise essen - hatten zwar für drin bestellt - das Wetter bot sich aber für den Garten an . Alles kein Problem trotz Büfet. Sehr nette Kellner - super Koch der auch ständig present war. Grosses Lob für die absolute Sauberkeit der behindertengerechten Toilette 👍- Tierfreundlichkeit und ausgezeichnetes Essen . Schön das es Euch gibt .🤩weiter so ….

This year we got married spontaneously in February and unfortunately didn't have a suitable location for our small wedding until a week before. When we came to the Alte Remise we were immediately impressed by the atmosphere. Rustic / chic / classy… that was exactly our taste. After a short conversation with the restaurant manager it was clear that was it! The perfect location! Nothing was a problem and all of our wishes were 100% fulfilled. The restaurant's young staff made our day very special and the food was excellent. I would celebrate here again and again and from now on we will be regular guests! :-) Many thanks at this point to the great team at Alte Remise

My wife and I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of family members. The food was excellent, the service extremely accommodating, polite and focused on guest satisfaction. I was extremely satisfied with my visit. Of course the price is higher than in many other restaurants, but personally I think it's completely justified. I personally enjoyed the vegan/vegetarian cuisine and can only warmly recommend it. My wife had fish that was prepared to perfection and her soup and dessert were also excellent. All in all, we both can only recommend eating there!

Buffet? Oh no! Today we went to the Easter buffet in the Alte Remise. Unfortunately, despite the positive reviews here, the whole thing was a failure. Extremely unimaginative and cheaply prepared dishes, the buffet half cold, some dishes (e.g. cucumber salad / chocolate pudding) were no longer refilled after 45 minutes after opening. The whole thing at a price of €40 per person borders on a rip-off despite the great location and the nice service.

Tiefurt is a dream in spring! Today, after walking the mdr Easter walk, blue route, we went to dinner in the Alte Remise. When the weather was wonderful we were able to use the outdoor area. It was magical: The food was delicious, beautifully arranged, and the service was always friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!

We had a company party there. The location is really great and the service is attentive.

We were invited to a wedding in this first-class location. It was extremely well prepared. The location is a dream and located right next to the park. The food was first class and the drinks were very good. But what really needs to be highlighted is the service. Because this one is really unparalleled. Incredibly professional, friendly, courteous and high quality. I haven't been able to enjoy service like this for a long time. Huge praise and we will come back during normal opening hours. There is also an outdoor area. An absolute tip for this region!!!

The castle's former coach house has been wonderfully renovated and set up as a restaurant with a special flair. Big praise for so much courage and initiative, coffee and cake were very tasty 😋

Ganz tolles Essen, freundlicher Service. Speisekarte leider nur sehr rar, dafür ist das Essen perfekt serviert und schmeckt super. Preise leider sehr hoch. Wir haben das Essen genossen und wer nicht auf das Geld achten muss, wird hier leckeres Essen finden.

Es war außerordentlich lecker. Ich würde nur empfehlen bei geringer Auslastung die Gäste künftig voneinander entfernt zu platzieren. Gerade wenn ein Pärchen neben einen lauten 6er-Tisch gesetzt wird... Ansonsten ist das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm.

Wir waren bereits mehrfach in der Alten Remise zu Mittag oder auch Abends. Das Essen ist hochwertig und außergewöhnlich schmackhaft . Das Personal ist äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Der Standort ist traumhaft gelegen. In direkter Nachbarschaft an den Tiefurter Park ist ein Spaziergang ein schöner Abschluss. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur empfehlen.

Ein Firmenevent war gelungen in den Räumen und bzgl. des Essens und Trinkens bei kleinen Abstrichen.

Wir haben hier nach einigem Suchen die Location für unsere Hochzeit gefunden. Überzeugt haben uns der hervorragende, professionelle Umgang und Planung sowohl vor der Veranstaltung also auch währenddessen. Absprachen haben wunderbar funktioniert, es wurde flexibel auf unsere Wunsche eingegangen und an den richtigen Stellen die passende Menge Beratung und Erfahrung zur Verfügung gestellt. Alle Gäste waren hellauf begeistert und sprechen von einer gelungenen Hochzeit. Ein Knackpunkt war die Unterbringung, da auf 100 Gäste ca 50 von weiter angereist waren, vor Ort jedoch nur 10 Kammern (Ausstattung: Bett - wurde vorher klar so angegeben und auch bei der Besichtigung explizit darauf hingewiesen) zur Verfügung standen. Da wir das unseren Gästen aber frühzeitig kommuniziert haben, hat das im Endeffekt kein Problem dargestellt. Das Essen war hervorragend, auch hier konnten wir im Vorfeld mit den Veranstaltern auf alle Wünsche eingehen. Das Feedback der Gäste war durch die Bank sehr gut. Die Technik hat während der Veranstaltung top funktioniert. Die Location ist sehr schön, es war genug Platz und die Nähe zum Park hat zum zwischendurch die Beine vertreten eingeladen. Der Service hat tadellos funktioniert, war freundlich und zuvorkommend, auf Sonderwünsche wurde gut und flexibel reagiert.

Wir haben dort nur gegessen. Das Essen ist vorzüglich. Trotz einer anwesenden Gesellschaft wurden wir schnell bedient. Portionen sind groß. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Die Preise sind gehoben.

Wunderbares Essen, guter Service. Der anliegende Park ist wunderschön und eignet sich hervorragend zum Feiern und Genießen. Die Zimmer sind aber leider absolut lachhaft. Einfach ein enger Raum mit Bett(en) und einem Nachttisch. Das wars. Sie befinden sich ganz oben, weshalb es im zusätzlich extrem heiß und stickig ist. Die Gemeinschaftsdusche ist kaputt. Ich kann das Feiern in der Alten Remise weiterempfehlen, jedoch sollte man sich woanders um eine Übernachtung kümmern.

Sehr schönes und stilvolles Restaurant mit interessanter Umgebung. Sehr nettes, fachkundiges und freundliches Personal, bei dem wir uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt haben. Die Speisen waren durchweg alle super, für probierfreudige kann ich nur empfehlen die außergewöhnlichen Angebote auf der Karte zu versuchen - die Wickelklöße und die Honig-Rosmarin-Pfifferlinge waren ein Gedicht!

Es hat alles gepasst. In einer wunderschönen Gegend, ein hübsches Restaurant, mit angenehmer Atmosphäre und Bedienung, ein lecker Essen genossen.

Irre gutes Essen und eine mega freundliche Bedienung mit reichlich Humor. Bei gutem Wetter mit der Möglichkeit draußen zu sitzen. Zu beachten ist, dass Freitags und Samstag wohl besser ein Tisch reserviert wird und dass das Lokal schon um 21:00 Uhr schließt.

Horrible restaurant, inedible hostel level food and you couldn't even tell what you were really eating. Very bad service which ended in a real THEFT, I went here on a school trip and they charged us for 31 bottles of soft drinks that we didn't even drink. Highly NOT recommended, don't come to save money and avoid gastroenteritis

So viele Sterne kann man gar nicht vergeben, wie dieses Restaurant verdient hat! Essen außergewöhnlich lecker, Service unbeschreiblich gut - das Personal hochmotiviert und freundlich, wie man es leider nur noch selten trifft. Danke, dass wir zu unserem großen Treffen dort zum wiederholten Male so wunderbar bewirtet wurden! Wir kommen auch im nächsten Jahr wieder!

Tolles Essen, tolles Lokal, tolle Bedienung Wir waren schon öfters hier und es ist alles ganz prima. Der Küche kann man 100 Punkte geben.

Aufgeweckte Bedienung, die auch gerne mal einen Plausch hält. Haben dort einen langen Nachmittag verbracht und traumhaft gespeist. Mein Rindercarpaccio war gehaltvoll obwohl es eine Zwischenmahlzeit sein sollte, während meine Mutter von ihrer knusprigen Ilm-Forelle und dem überaus lecker angemachten Gurkensalat als Beilage schwärmte. Tiefurt ist sowieso unser liebster Ausflugsort in Weimar, aber der Trip von der Innenstadt mit dem Bus lohnt sich auch schon für das Essen in der Alten Remise. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren nach längerer Zeit mal wieder in der Alten Remise und wollten dort zu Mittag essen. Es gab „ Kloßbuffet“ - wie auf der Rechnung stand. Wir waren 40 Minuten vor dem benannten Ende des Buffets da, es wurde uns empfohlen, doch nachdem wir eine Vorsuppe gegessen hatten, mussten wir feststellen, dass es keine Klöße mehr gab. Auf Nachfrage sagte man uns, sie seien alle… Wir nahmen dann von den noch vorhandenen Speisen und mussten feststellen, dass alles nur lauwarm war. Die Getränke kamen, als wir den Hauptgang beendet hatten. Als Nachspeise wurden Quarkkeulchen angeboten, das zugehörige Apfelmus war leider auch alle…. Als wir unser Missfallen dem Kellner mitteilten, war seine Antwort: ach, das tut mir aber leid. Unserer Meinung nach für diesen Preis absolut inakzeptabel. Von unserem Plan, in einer Woche dort für ein Geburtstagsessen zu reservieren, haben wir Abstand genommen.

einfach toll, wir hatten uns spontan entschieden und wurden sofort zuvorkommend platziert und von einer sehr angenehmen Bedienung perfekt beraten. Das Essen war spitze - Lamm und auch Hasenkeule, super dargeboten und den nicht überteuerten Preis allemal wert. Wir waren angenehm überrascht, in so einem "Nest" eine so tolle Location zu entdecken. Wir empfehlen hiermit gern weiter.

Die Alte Remise bietet ein sehr schönes Ambiente, das zum Feiern und Verweilen einlädt. Es gibt eine schöne Auswahl an Speisen, die liebevoll zubereitet werden. Der Service war erstklassig und man merkt, dass es dem Gastgeber Freude macht, Gäste zu bewirten. Bitte weiter so!

The food was good, the location was beautiful, but the service wasn’t so great. Our first meal came quickly, and so did our drinks, but I found that the service wasn’t always the most friendly. We waited a while for our dessert to come, and overall didn’t really enjoy our experience as much as we could’ve.

Am 1. Advent 2xGänsekeule und 2x -brust to go geholt. Alles völlig verbrannt, außen schwarz, innen zäh und hart, ungenießbar. Die Keulen waren separat in Alufolie verpackt, also nicht sichtbar. Eine grenzenlose Unverschämtheit! Nie wieder Remise ! Wächter, Weimar

Ein vorzügliches Gänseessen zum Mitnehmen. Mit köstlichen Rotkohl, riesen Kloß und knuspriger Gänsekeule. Alles mega lecker gewesen. Vielen Dank für diesen vorweihnachtlichen Schmaus.

Wir waren am 22.08.2020 in der "Alten Remise" und hatten Freunde eingeladen. - Es gab keine Weinkarte und die Bestellung von Wein war "nur ins blaue hinein" möglich. - Das bestellte Schnitzel, von dem der Kellner von 250g Fleischeinlage gesprochen hatte, war ca. 2mm dick. Das, was reichlich war, war die Panierung. - Die Roulade war trocken und hart. - Die Forelle war ebenfalls trocken. Ich habe auch noch nie eine "Forelle Müllerin Art" gegessen, bei der statt Butte in der "Remise" Senf draufgestrichen war. - Als es dunkel wurde, so dass man nicht mehr sehen konnte, was auf dem Teller war, musste der Kellner erst angesprochen werden, damit wenigstens Kerzenlicht auf den Tisch gebracht wurde. - Für die Qualität der Speisen waren die Preise einfach viel zu hoch. Gesamteinschätzung: Nicht zu empfehlen und nicht wieder. Es war enttäuschend, zumal wir Hochzeitstag hatten... Klaus-Detlev Puchta, Dresden

Wir wollten nur etwas Kleines essen, was aber nicht möglich war, da es nur Buffet gab. Der Zwiebelrostbraten ertrank in der Sauce und hatte schon lange kein Salz mehr gesehen. der Klos war langweilig, das Rotkraut akzeptabel. Insgesamt seinen Preis (19€) nicht wert. Von den vorhandenen Kuchen hatte die Bedienung keine Ahnung und musste erst nachfragen. Alles in Allem keinen zweiten Besuch wert!

Wir hatten eine schöne Hochzeitstafel im Freien, entlang der alten Steinmauer, mit Blechkuchen und Kaffee. Obwohl es sehr heiß war, konnte man es unter dem großen Baum (Ahorn?) und den gespanten Sonnenschutzsegeln gut aushalten. Und der Park Tiefurt war einfach perfekt für einen Spaziergang und schöne Hochzeitsfotos.

Waren zum Familientreffen Freitag mittags da bei herrlichem Wetter ... wurden auch nett bedient. Das Essen aber war -trotz der ohnehin knappen Karte- nur aus Fertigzutaten erstellt, Kartoffeln schmeckten nach Konservierungsmitteln, Pommes nach ranzigem Fett, die Schnitzel bestanden zu 80% aus Panade, der Rest war zäh. Mängel wegen des familiären Rahmens nicht weiter thematisiert, dennoch: absolut nicht empfehlenswert !!!

Wir hatten dort letzte Woche ein Abendevent und die Glashütte war voll. Der Service war top durchorganisiert und die Mitarbeiter...

Die Alte Remise besuchte ich das erste Mal. Im Februar fand hier der Finalabend meiner Veranstaltungsreihe KAMINFEUERTOUR statt. Von der Abstimmung über die Vorbereitung bis zur Durchführung - alles entsprach meinen Vorstellungen. Das Ambiente war zauberhaft: Feuerschalen brannten im Hof, ein knisterndes Kaminfeuer im Gastraum, dazu eine Beleuchtung, die das Ganze noch einmal perfekt in Szene setzte. Das Buffet war lecker, der Service sehr zuvorkommend. Unsere Gäste, meine Partner und ich waren vollauf zufrieden und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen!
