We were at a wedding in the Wesermarsch region shortly before Pentecost and hadn't expected that the Saturday before Pentecost would be a hive of activity in northern Germany. So we called around and received only rejections. Often with the argument: ten people are no problem, but not eleven! (Person number 11 was a 5-year-old child!) We were lucky at Athos! And we had a fantastic evening! Thanks to the really witty and clever waiters, who made it a lot of fun! And the food was all truly delicious! Lots of plates were passed around, so we could really try everything. To start with, we had a round of ouzo and a children's schnapps for the little one. Although we had already celebrated at the wedding the night before until after midnight, we stayed at Athos until the wee hours of the morning as well. Because it's simply an amazing place!

VAT reduced. Prices are the same as last year. The VAT reduction is intended to be passed on to consumers. I had the baked gyro; the sauce was very good, but the meat was completely chewy (a lot of fat). The pepperoni was from a jar, not homemade. The only good thing was the service. In conclusion, I won't be going there again.

One of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Oldenburg. The quality of the food and service is 100/10, and we've never been disappointed. In fact, we feel like it keeps getting better every time. Keep it up!

Luckily, we had reserved a table and didn't expect it to be so busy on a Monday. We received a very friendly welcome, excellent service, and the food was truly delicious. 😋👍👍👍 We'd love to go back... ☆☆☆☆☆

Great but too much food had to take "Doggy bag"

A superb restaurant for a romantic evening for two. The food was highly recommended. The service was excellent until after the main course. After that, our server changed, and we weren't asked about our drink preferences or dessert, even though it was still close to closing time. It's a shame, because the evening was otherwise perfect. The first server made even more of an effort and conveyed a great deal of hospitality. We'll be back and hope for consistently good service, like at the beginning of the evening.

5 stars – Our absolute favorite restaurant! My husband and I come here regularly – even though it's a 44 km drive. But it's worth it every single time! The food is always excellent: fresh, lovingly prepared, and simply a delight. We've never had a complaint. The service is equally impressive – the team is attentive, friendly, and always has a friendly remark ready. The ambiance is wonderful both inside and out. It's very comfortably furnished, and in summer, the garden in front of the thatched-roof house is simply gorgeous. Everything is just right here – we look forward to our visit every time!

I won a voucher in a competition in December. Yesterday I redeemed it and was warmly greeted at reception and congratulated on winning. We were there with 4 people and were thrilled by the ambience, service and food. The service staff is a well-rehearsed team and very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back.

Very nice Greek restaurant with excellent moussaka. The other dishes were also tasty and, typically Greek, rich. I would like to highlight the staff: everyone is friendly, not over-the-top, but seems attentive to you. This also led to a very interesting conversation about Greek wines, something you don't experience everywhere. Always my pleasure.

In any case. I always have something to complain about but everything was perfect there. It's a very nice place to escape from everyday life and let yourself think about other things.

The restaurant is characterized by its culinary versatility. As a vegan, I was served a nice plate of fruit dessert instead of an ice cream dessert, upon consultation with a waitress or staff member. The food also tasted good. Anyway, 5 stars for the service. The atmosphere is also nicely designed, for me individually a bit overstimulated due to the background noise, but that's just me and not the majority. Happy Easter.

Staff super nice and attentive. The food was also excellent. The only thing that was annoying was that we had changed the salad (coleslaw and beans) into a mixed salad for an additional charge, but then the tzatziki was left out of the main course, even though it was actually supposed to be there according to the menu. Then we had to order tzatziki separately (for €6.50). The salad was exchanged for an additional charge as it says on the menu, so you can't leave out the tzatziki from the main course. Otherwise everything was fine.

A mega great restaurant, We were there yesterday, Saturday, and we have never had better Greek food. All the service staff were super attentive, despite the dining room being packed to capacity, the waiting times between courses were by no means long. The quality and taste of the food was completely convincing, as was the staff.

Food was good even though half of it was forgotten, portions too small, service chaotic and uncoordinated, no one knows what to do, you have to speak to every waiter before one reacts, there isn't even one Seat cushions for outdoor use that you have to sit on hard chairs and there are no table decorations, so the price-performance ratio is very poor, not recommended

We were there on a Sunday evening and it was very crowded outside. The service made an effort, but seemed clearly overwhelmed. It took over an hour for the food to arrive. The quality of the food was subpar in terms of price-performance ratio and most of the meat was burned. There is still room for improvement here; it will not be a suitable place for us to “have a good, relaxed meal” in the future.

This store is making us poorer. Here we have by far the best gyros we have ever eaten in our lives! The last time we ate there was at 5:30 p.m. We got the first crust of the gyro and it was just so delicious. You can also taste the love for food. The other dishes are very tasty.

It was a nice evening with friends at the "Greek". Overall, Athos is beautifully landscaped. We would like to try out the outdoor area when the weather improves. Since it was already quite full, the background noise was quite high. That's how it is with the number of people. The service is familiar and very competent. The employees approach the guests openly with a lot of empathy and naturally involve the guests in everything possible with nice comments. The orders were taken quickly and the food was delivered at the same time and without errors, despite special requests. As expected, the food was plentiful and very good quality. This can be stated simply and briefly. Probably the most exciting question: What are the prices? Yes, it has become more expensive. But the costs have increased, etc. We all know that well enough. But it's worth it! It's always interesting to see that the restaurants are so full when everyone complains about how difficult it is. I am still willing to pay for good quality and performance. Even if we are all stingy ;-)

But even in the winter months, the outdoor area is appropriately decorated and prepared ❤️

Pretty much everything is true. Ambience is really chic. The food is incredibly good and the service is extremely friendly. I almost felt a bit bad that I didn't drink the Uozo beforehand because I don't drink. 🙊 Extra requests (English menu, painkillers provided) were fulfilled. Even if there were a few little things that didn't immediately fit, it was more of a loving, slight nitpicking that was compensated for with such a friendly and humorous manner that I'm quite willing to give it five stars.
