The service was very cheerful and friendly, which is a significant plus. We felt very comfortable once again. A complimentary glass of wine as a welcome drink and sometimes at the end rounded off the visit perfectly. The food arrived incredibly quickly, even though the restaurant was full at 6:15 pm. And of course, it tasted wonderful. We will definitely be back often.

The food was not good value for money. The food was ready in 10 minutes. The meat was good, but the side dishes were not fresh, but rather store-bought. I have a food intolerance and notice immediately when the quality isn't right. And we paid €50 for two dishes, and the portions are small.

The noise level in the hall-like restaurant is simply too loud to have a conversation while eating, at least on Friday evenings.

A very good restaurant on all levels. The service, ambiance, and food are, in my opinion, very good. Individual requests were accommodated without hesitation. The food is very diverse, so everyone can find something delicious on the menu. There was also a good amount of time between courses, which usually indicates freshly prepared food. Nevertheless, the ambiance (especially indoors) is great. The service is very attentive and friendly. The staff knows how to serve and always looks neatly dressed. The food is good – as with many other Greek restaurants; no exceptions. A visit is highly recommended!😊

Delicious food, great service, good value for money

We visited the Athen for the first time on August 15, 2025. We reserved a quiet table by phone. It was a wonderful evening for the two of us. The welcome was superb. We immediately felt we were warmly welcomed. The table was excellent. The service was first-class. You could tell right away that the staff here enjoy their work. The drinks arrived promptly. Our special requests were also handled brilliantly. We each had the crowns of lamb. The meal was a culinary delight. Summary of the evening at the Athen: The best restaurant we've experienced in years. I told the staff member that when paying. Keep up the good work, dear Athen team.

Great restaurant and the food was fantastic 👍 There were four of us there; everyone had a different dish, and we loved the food. There's no question that the service was very attentive, although at times it was a bit over the top for us. But we can recommend it if you really want to go out for a good meal. 👍

Always worth a visit! The food is delicious. The service is excellent. You can sit on the terrace in summer and by the large fireplace in winter, where it's very cozy.

Very friendly and attentive service staff, but disappointing food. The salad plate had too mild tzatziki, bland bean salad, and barely seasoned, far too sour coleslaw. The lamb shank with green beans was overcooked; the beans tasted as if they'd been through several microwaves. Even the canned beans in tomato sauce from Lidl were tastier. The gyro on the Olympus plate was impressive; overall, it was well grilled, but the rice was very soft and bland. Why it was served with ayvar was beyond us. Our first visit to the Athen will also be our last. _---------- ADDENDUM a few years later: After an invitation without mentioning the restaurant, we ended up here again. And this time everything was perfect. Good food, friendly, fun-loving staff. I'm changing the rating from two to four stars. We'll see, maybe there'll be another one?

I love this restaurant! I eat here all the time with friends, parents or partners. I also ate there for my birthday last winter and I have to say, it was really nice and there was a little birthday surprise too! :) I can only recommend it to everyone and if you like very, very sweet dessert wine - I can highly recommend Samos!

The service in the Athens restaurant was excellent, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The saganaki in particular was a real highlight – crispy, spicy and simply delicious. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Greek dishes. I always enjoy coming here and can only recommend the restaurant!

Food very good and friendly service staff. What I don't like is that I made a reservation at 7.30 p.m. and have to wait over 15 minutes. Otherwise everything OK.

Large group, everyone was happy. The fact that there was at least a little bit of tzatziki on the salad plate was seen as a positive. Tzatziki is part of it, but paying 6.50 extra for it may be more than the budget for an evening for many people.

The best “Greek” at the moment. You have to love Irfan and his people too. The food is beyond any doubt. It's not for nothing that the store is buzzing every day.

It was very busy, the service was friendly and polite, everything was great. My food must have been in the kitchen for a short time. The meat and rice were lukewarm. It was very tasty, but not hot enough. I would give it back next time

So we're here regularly now, even if it's on the other side of town from us. We are always absolutely thrilled with the food and especially the service and friendliness! On our wedding day, our table was decorated very lovingly and beautifully, every employee congratulated us, we are really thrilled! Eating a blast! If I could, I would give 6 stars everywhere!

The reception was super nice and we immediately felt welcome. The food is very tasty and a big thank you goes to the excellent service! I only ordered something to pick up here once. Unfortunately, the food was thrown together completely wrong. Unfortunately, the sauces for the dishes were swapped, the problem with the story is that the meat was in the sauces (which would be correct if the sauces weren't swapped). It simply didn't match the types of meat chosen. I don't think we'll eat there again. Since we didn't eat there, I can't comment on the service or ambience, other than that it seemed busy and inviting. I don't want to judge badly, but unfortunately we were a little too disappointed the first time we ate it.

We spontaneously went to Athens today and were given a more than warm welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and I can say that because I was accompanied by a star chef myself. But what topped it all was the great service from naffi, who served us warmly throughout the evening and read our every wish. Go there, it's worth it!

We got a table spontaneously, which is usually not that easy. The boss himself seats the guests and ensures that everything is to their satisfaction. We had appetizer plates and a children's gyro. Extra requests were implemented without any problem. Both starter plates and gyros were very good. If we were able to spontaneously get a free table more often, we would certainly still be here more often. In any case, a very good Greek restaurant. Early reservation recommended.

It was our first time eating there and we had high expectations based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, these were not fulfilled at all. The fries and the gyros were totally over salted. The pork on the skewer was totally dry. Tzatziki was supposed to be present at the dish but we had to ask about it first. After a complaint I got a new meal, which was better but still not worth the money. My husband's minced steak was okay. We were there for the first and unfortunately for the last time.

There were 8 of us, one of whom had a walker, and we got a very good place. The service was very good. One waiter stood out exceptionally due to his very friendly, nice and funny manner. Wonderful food, the calamari was perfectly fried (buttery soft) and everything else was on point. Just great.

We were visiting friends in Bad Zwischenahn and were there with them on a Saturday evening. Only possible with reservation. As usual with Greeks - full house. :-) Many guests present. The restaurant was recommended to us. We weren't disappointed. The ambience is an upscale Greek restaurant. The staff was always nearby, attentive, very nice and friendly! The food came quickly and was tasty and 'unfortunately' very plentiful. The prices are currently moderate. Basically worth recommending in any case. Hopefully it won't be the last time we eat there. :-)

Schönes Ambiente, hohe Gastfreundlichkeit und guter Service. Leider war aber unser bestelltes Essen handwerklich voll daneben. Wir hatten den Ouzo vom Haus noch nicht mal getrunken da kam auch schon der Salat als Vorspeise und das Hauptgericht. Alles sehr übersichtlich. Den typischen Griechischen Grill Teller gibt es wohl seit Corona und der Energie Krise nicht mehr. Die Speisen auf den Athen Teller und Sparta Teller waren lauwarm und trocken und das Bifteki bröckelte beim Anschnitt auseinander. Das Suflaki war so trocken, das es sich schwer vom Spieß löste. Die 3 kleinen Stückchen Leber waren perfekt zubereitet ( geht doch ). Wir hatten den Eindruck dass einige Produkte wegen der sehr schnellen Zubereitung vorgekocht und schon gegrillt waren und nicht à la minute zubereitet wurden. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für die Qualität überzogen.

Nice ambience, high level of hospitality and good service. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was completely off the mark. We hadn't even drunk the house ouzo yet when the salad came as a starter and the main course. Everything very clear. The typical Greek grill plate no longer exists since Corona and the energy crisis. The food on the Athens plates and Sparta plates were lukewarm and dry and the bifteki crumbled apart when cut. The suflaki was so dry that it was difficult to come off the skewer. The 3 small pieces of liver were perfectly prepared (it works). We had the impression that some products were pre-cooked and already grilled due to the very quick preparation and were not prepared à la minute. The price-performance ratio is excessive for the quality.
