Essen war durchaus gut. Preise sind akzeptabel. Freundliche Bedienung. Kinderfreundliches Lokal. Auch das hauseigene Weizenbier ist zu empfehlen. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Unfortunately, there is no mention on their website that it is closed from November 3rd to December 14th. The campsite is closed at this time and so is the restaurant. This isn't even explicitly stated on the restaurant doors. Too bad.

An absolutely recommended restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive - you immediately feel welcome. The food was wonderfully down-to-earth and typically good, middle-class, just right if you like honest and delicious cuisine. Particularly great for families: There is a children's play area where the little ones can keep themselves busy while the parents eat in a relaxed manner. A great experience for the whole family, we would love to come back!

Delicious currywurst with fries

Four people can easily get a place without a reservation, and that on a public holiday. The four of us went on a short hike and went to Aunt Paula's for dinner. Everyone had ordered something different, once the pub roast, once the roast beef, once the pork ducks and once the onion roast. Everyone was very happy with the food. The service was friendly and accommodating, even if not everything worked right away, but these were simply communication difficulties that no one had to suffer from. I particularly liked the dark beer, which appears to be produced in our own brewery. All in all, we liked it and we will definitely come here to eat again when we are in the area.

Five of us had dinner yesterday and were very disappointed with the food. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio didn't fit. We had cordon bleu with fries three times and we thought for the price of 20 euros that they should be a delight, but that was far from the case. We are in the Allgäu where there is good cheese everywhere and only cheap cheese is used. In addition, all the cordon bleu were very dry. My son had Kässpatzen, the top ones were all dry as if they had been kept warm in the oven and in my opinion you can get a good cheese here for 15 euros. My father is a chef and can therefore rate value for money from a gastronomic perspective. However, the burger and fries were good. Her service is excellent, unfortunately we didn't ask for her name. Blonde, short hair and she's been doing this job for a long time. She responded to our complaint constructively and saved the unsuccessful evening with her manner. Thank you again. She had to put out several fires at guests' homes that evening. Our conclusion: we won't be coming back, we're happy to pay more money for good food, but that's not the case here.

We ate at Aunt Paula's as part of our stay on the campsite. Great selection of drinks and food. Despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy, the service staff never lost their smile or friendliness. Very tasty and plentiful, we have to postpone the Kaiserschmarrn until tomorrow! We'll definitely be back!

Although the restaurant was full to capacity, the waitresses were very friendly and relaxed and the food was highly recommended. Value for money is right, we'll be back👍😄

The quality of the food was absolutely fine, but the prices at the campsite were high. What really bothered us was the older man in service… Where he comes from there are probably no manners... The food is delicious and is served very quickly when ordered via the app. A reservation is only possible for groups of 4 or more, which is difficult for our small family! We still got a table and were satisfied.

Food was plentiful and good, service was nice but it took a long time to reach you, it's very unfortunate that you can't make a reservation, very bad, but otherwise recommended. Addendum it was written that you can make a reservation, which is partly true. We were told that if there were 5 people or more, as we were there, tables for 3 people were also marked as reserved, so I'm wondering what kind of statement is true or the staff has no idea who they say something.

Very nice restaurant at the Hopfensee campsite. Beautifully decorated. Highly recommended is the bottom-fermented, light-colored Tante Paula full beer. The menu has a lot to offer. The food tastes excellent. A nice place to stop after a hike.

We have been coming to Hopfen am See for many years. Our first address is always “Aunt Paula”. Everything is just right here: the food, the atmosphere and, above all, the service. The employees are all very friendly. We are already looking forward to the next vacation and to “Aunt Paula”.

The food was very good, but unfortunately the service was zero. There should actually be more stars for the food, but since for me both the service and the food are part of a good restaurant visit, I can only give this one star and not recommend it. Find new service staff!

Great dishes - something for everyone, from low carb to fish. Even the homemade Kaiserschmarn (ours with applesauce) was simply delicious😋 The staff is excellent - friendly, accommodating and really committed. Ambience varied as there are several areas. Little guests also get their money's worth - and four-legged friends are also very welcome.

There is plenty of seating outside and inside it is very spacious and cozy. The staff is very attentive and quick. I've been here several times and the food has always been excellent. Whether it's pizza, Kaiserschmarrn, Allgäu roast beef, grilled dishes... everything is great. The home-brewed beer also tastes good. There is something for every taste......

It's not just a camping restaurant, more of a really good inn. My sausage salad and home-brewed beer were awesome. The service was very friendly and accommodating, downright “attractive”

October 1, 2024 The name alone made us want to eat here. Reading the menu takes a bit of time but it's worth it, it's really funny and interesting. I have never eaten such a good Kaiserschmarrn as I did today, it was available with fruit or vanilla ice cream, I was undecided for a moment and then the waitress offered me both, great. My husband had everything just right with mountain farmer-style pork fillet, meat that was butter-tender, vegetables with a slight bite and homemade cheese patties on the side. Even if we are just passing through, we will 100% stop here again. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It deserves a lot more stars, but then I would Sit here tomorrow.

Ordering from Aunt Paula was our emergency solution. We had heard so many bad things about the service and the food that we didn't actually want to go. But due to the lack of alternatives and the proximity to our caravan, we decided to order on the last evening. And what can I say: We regret incredibly that we didn't do this much earlier. My goodness, the pizza was delicious and the schnitzel with fries was also impressive. We were able to pick up the order after just fifteen minutes and the staff was just friendly and great. We'll be back next year and will definitely eat there again! Great recommendation for all campers!

We came here because the reviews were so good. When we arrived we quickly saw why, because if you submit an application you get a free cheese. Of course it explains a lot. Otherwise the food was okay but nothing special and a bit expensive. Fries and garlic baguette were nothing, burgers and veggie gyros were solid. The ambience is just okay, unfortunately depending on where you sit you sit very close to the other guests. We wouldn't come anymore.

On our summer vacation we went to Aunt Paula's again. The food was served quickly and, as always, was hot and tasty. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. We will definitely visit Aunt Paula again on our next visit to the Hopfensee campsite.
