The menu is good, offering vegetarian and vegan dishes as well. However, we weren't able to try the vegan cevapcici, as they weren't available on two visits, and the vegan gyro wasn't available either – a real shame. We ended up having the vegan burger once, which we weren't particularly impressed with, and the grilled vegetable plate, which was good. It's nice that they're trying to offer a contemporary menu – but apparently, this part of the menu isn't available at all or is very limited. Service is very good and very child-friendly; we were always offered a high chair without asking. Update 2025: The quality of the food doesn't seem as high as it was last year. Children's dishes cost almost €10 – I find that rather expensive.

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The pizza was doughy and already cold, even though we had pre-ordered. The order wasn't accepted, so we had to wait a long time to pick it up, and the pizza was still cold. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't convincing either. The service was also unfriendly. It's also noticeable that many of the reviews seem to be "bought," as you apparently get a small piece of cheese for them.

The food and house beer were great, the service was also excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I'd be happy to go back. The homemade dressing was delicious.

Every year, during our camping trip to Lake Forggensee, we go to Tante Paula's for dinner at least once. We look forward to it every year. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and friendly, and the atmosphere is just right. We're always happy to come back.

An incredibly diverse menu with countless options. Everything is freshly prepared, expertly prepared (including in a stone oven), using only local ingredients from an organic butcher and cheesemaker (a double plus ++ rating), and everything is perfectly seasoned.

Good service, so-so food, and the "thank you" cheese (see photo) gets you good reviews...

Fries were great, service was good, goulash not really recommended (meat dry and napkin dumplings weak). We've had pizza before, it was OK (base crispy, topping OK, edges of dough). Taste-wise, rather neutral.

We've been going to Hopfen am See for years now and now realize that the best is often so close. The selection of dishes is very varied! The dishes are incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. You can optionally order side dishes or salads. The house beer is delicious! The service is super friendly and attentive. We'll be coming more often from now on!

We're always impressed with the food! Whether it's pork fillet, Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancakes), or salad, everything is delicious! The home-brewed beer is also excellent, and the service is always top-notch!

Unfortunately, after 30 minutes, my (drink) order still hadn't been taken. The prices were unacceptable. I left with four children and a rather mediocre mood, but I saved a lot of money... This has to be better! More tables for more than four people, please!

We've been here many times, so it's time for a good review. We've eaten our way through the menu – every dish is excellent in its own right, and even if you're hungry, you'll be well-fed! Really friendly staff, fast service, and very, very good food. Above all, they serve some dishes made with spelt instead of wheat, which was an absolute highlight for my daughter who has allergies.

Nice location and cozy, friendly service, but the food was unfortunately not good. It simply didn't taste fresh, and the meat/schnitzel was very tough. I'm surprised, given all these good reviews... maybe just bad luck... The prices are high, but that's probably due to the location.

After a stroll around Lake Hopfensee, we stopped here. My husband had a burger with fries, the kids had Kaiserschmarrn with apple sauce, and I had ravioli filled with chanterelle cream. We all enjoyed our meal. We'd love to come back.

We ate here with seven people. Friendly service, great food, and it arrived perfectly on time. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes is also worth mentioning.

We regularly vacation at the Hopfensee campsite and are happy that the "Aunt Paula" restaurant is on site! You don't have to wait long for your food, which is very convenient with children 😉

Great food in a fantastic atmosphere right by Hopfensee. Very attentive, friendly staff! You can't go wrong with the food: Whether it's meat, fish, or even pizza... everything tastes absolutely delicious, is prepared quickly, and you can tell it's not a microwave meal! Amazing! My personal favorite: the grilled plate!!! We're always happy to come back!

Schnitzel with fries and cranberries. Unfortunately, the complimentary sauces (mayonnaise and ketchup) weren't that great, but they did offer a complimentary "Sorry" from the house, which was very friendly. The schnitzel was delicious, thin and fried. Aunt Paula's beer was delicious. You feel welcome. We'd gladly return.
