Dishonest billing!!! Be careful!! The food was okay, as you can have it anywhere else. As evidence, attached is a copy of my receipt. I was charged 7.80€ for 2 glasses of water. You are reading it right! 3.90€ per glass of water. Not bottles; glasses of water. Not a single bottle was brought to the table, just a glass of water. When I inquired about the charge, the server just told me that’s what they charge and how they serve it. I have no idea if I was served tap water. Also, the tip was obligatory, never mentioned and included in my check.

Good average, price/performance is right. Good to satisfy hunger, nothing more.? When ordering you will be informed that payment is only possible in cash. But it's ok, I understand the hospitality industry.

The food isn't great and it's definitely not worth paying too much for. After the meal, without asking, a small basket with about 5 slices of baguette was placed on the table, so we thought: "Oh, how nice," until we found them on the bill for 3.80 euros, next to a pretzel Approximately 2 euros that were neither asked for nor brought to us without being asked and an empty plate for our child for 2 euros was also "nicely" included... despite all of this, we were naive enough to give a small tip, for which we were not even a thank you was given. I'm generally willing to pay for performance, but here the business conduct left a worse taste than the food. According to the motto: "If our food doesn't leave you with a bad aftertaste, then we'll take care of it with our pricing policy!" NEVER AGAIN!

We ate in the rustic interior; spontaneously moving from the terrace to the inside (because of the many wasps) was unproblematic. Both the pork knuckle and the cheese spaetzle were very good. Service friendly, but not intrusive. We felt comfortable. The price-performance ratio is still okay. In return you get a rich and good meal.

A very warm welcome! The owner was very nice and the servers super friendly. Excellent and typical food from the Bavarian region. We even had a little espresso courtesy of the house. We really recommend this restaurant.

We had barely ordered when the food was already at the table (less than 5 minutes). This made us a bit suspicious because a good fresh meal takes some time. The waiters asked several times if it was tasty, which was quite annoying. In addition, you can only pay in cash. We wouldn't eat here again because the taste of the food didn't impress us either.

The room I stayed in is for two. The location is great(near the Castle and the trails). Also, 5-8mins walk distance to train station. The wifi is something not so reliable. Parking is available but extra fee.

Dishonest billing! They discretely include their propsed tip in the total price and quote you the tipped total. This should be illegal. Also the place is infested with hornets.

We had reserved in writing and were called back by phone because we didn't need a special reservation. When we got the menu we saw that we couldn't pay by card. Unfortunately, this was not communicated to me over the phone! I then had to go to the savings bank because I didn't have enough money with me. I would have expected that they would buy us a specialty coffee or something. We enjoyed the food, but we had to wait longer for the drinks. So there is still room for improvement in service.

Went there for dinner with 8 people. Service very friendly and competent. Food was very good. There were no hotel rooms there for wheelchair users, but there was a second building in Füssen that would be wheelchair accessible. I haven't checked...

Food was nice, waiters had to be flagged for attention though. Nice atmosphere, alot of cyclists in there when we visited. Please note cash only(popular option in Germany) and bread brought at start is charged as extra, send back if you don't want to be charged. Only place this happened in 3 weeks. Located only a couple mins off main square.

We stayed in the holiday apartment 4 years ago (highly recommended by the way) and went there again for dinner yesterday... the delicious, hearty food, the good location and the friendly staff are really recommended! We still think back to our holiday in the holiday apartment! Thanks!

Were there for dinner. Service was very good and very attentive, the owner was very friendly and happy to give tips. A small schnapps tasting was done spontaneously. Food was very tasty. Price/performance was right for us. Cash payment only - like almost everywhere!!!! Unfortunately we only discovered it on the last evening, otherwise we would have been there more often.

The food was ready extremely quickly, which looks a lot like prepared dishes, but both the Jägerbraten with spaetzle and the Bavarian plate tasted very good. In terms of food, a better rating would have been justifiable if it hadn't been for the cola. 4.50 euros are charged for 0.4 l, but this is served in a common Ikea cup without a calibration mark, which only holds 0.35 l. In addition, no Coca-Cola or Pepsi is served, but a sugary-sweet drink that is strongly reminiscent of discounter Cola. Super delicious Bavarian food, exactly as I had saved it in my head. The service was excellent and the food was served quickly. I can only recommend this restaurant. A cozy, truly Bavarian inn. There is outdoor and indoor space. You can also easily reserve online. But I would recommend calling briefly. Attention: payment only possible. Card payment is not possible. This seems to be agreed upon among the restaurateurs in Füssen. I understand this because I am familiar with the institutions' billing conditions. If it is pointed out beforehand, that is completely ok. The food is delicious. The staff is also noticeably friendly. People smile at you. And the empty glass didn't stay like that for long. As a guest, I find this very pleasant. The freshly tapped Paulaner too. I personally really liked the background music. The innkeeper has to decide whether it belongs in a Bavarian tavern. It's such a style of music, esoteric, relaxation, a bit of an enigma sound. Relaxing e-pop maybe. Cool feeling. So it didn't bother me at all. We felt very comfortable all around, especially since the prices were ok. So, in short, a clear recommendation from me, even if, like us, you are just passing through. We will definitely come back, even as motorhome travelers, on our next tour south.

The food was good as well as the service. However when it came time to pay the waiter told me that they only accept cash. This was very poorly timed and would have been nice to know before we were served. The waiter sent me to an ATM which was about half a mile from the restaurant. It did not seem to concern them that I had to walk off my meal to accommodate their outdated method of commerce. Be aware. .

During our stay in Füssen we had dinner at this restaurant. Located in the center, it is very nice. The staff is friendly, polite and attentive, and also speaks English. The food is good, but not excellent: the shank was very tasty, but the sauerkraut tasted too acidic, it seemed like the industrial kind. The pork with mushrooms was also good, but the typical pasta served with the meat was a bit bland. It is important to note that the restaurant only accepts cash payments, not cards or debit cards.

We were guests in the restaurant with 8 people on March 22, 2024. We really liked the atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and served courteously and attentively. The menu is extensive and there was something for everyone. It was delicious and the portions are big! A successful evening, a big thank you to Laura and Patrik! I took the flyer for the apartments and holiday apartments with me because I can well imagine that the accommodation is run with just as much care as the restaurant! Come again! A well-attended restaurant. The food tasted very good and was prepared quickly. Portions are large. Service in the restaurant is on the ball and friendly. Were there late at night. We made a reservation because there were no tables available and took a walk around the old town. The wait was worth it. A tip: try roasted onions with spaetzle, knuckle with dumplings.

There were 2 waiters a male and a female the male was very nice. But the female very unfriendly. They made us feel out of place and discriminated against. German guests received better seating and friendlier treatment. Very antisocial.

We were the only ones on Thursday evening,... not surprising because asking €17 for a pork schnitzel like in the photo is really not possible. Same as at the snack bar but 3x as expensive. Absolutely No salad or vegetables with it. If I had to make this as a chef, I can imagine that I would be unhappy... and pay attention. Here only the black money circuit prevails 💸

Excellent food and also great service who helped make a place for us on a very busy evening so we could have an amazing meal. We got sat next to a very nice German family and had one of the best meals of our long Germany trip.

Good food, but not excellent: very good shank, but the sauerkraut tasted too much like vinegar (it tasted like the industrial kind from the can). The pork with mushrooms was also good, the typical pasta (similar to gnocchi) that accompanied the meat was a bit flavourless. Cards/debit cards are NOT accepted for payment, only cash.

Das Essen im Lokal ist sehr, sehr lecker

Gemütliches Lokal mit durchschnittlichem Essen. Schweinebraten und Haxe lauwarm. Kraut matschig. Im Cordon Bleu war fettiger Speck der nicht zu kauen war. Johannisbeerschorle war leicht rosa Wasser ohne großen Geschmack. Ob es geschmeckt hat wurde nicht gefragt. Pluspunkt, die Wartezeit war sehr kurz und die Lage ist gut. Typischer Touristenladen.

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Absolut leckeres Essen, schnelle Bedienung nach der Bestellung. Preis/Größe Portionen sehr gut. Besondere schmackhaft das Rotkraut, welches zu Schweinebraten serviert wird.

Schönes, kleines Restaurant mit guten bayrischen Spezialitäten. Man wird schnell und freundlich bedient. Das Essen war auch gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Wir waren am 02.10 am Nachmittag im diesen Restaurant. Grenzwertig ist es, dass man erst beim Bezahlen die Überraschung hat, dass man nur Bar bezahlen kann. Also: aufstehen, Geld abholen, zurückkommen. Nicht besonders zuvorkommend. Eine kundenorientierte Service sieht anders aus. Schade, denn ansonsten schmeckt das Essen sehr gut.

Wir haben an einem regnerischen Tag dort gegessen, deshalb stand die Außengastronomie nicht zur Verfügung. Innen war es schon ziemlich beengt. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Portionen zum satt werden. Wir hatten den Schweinebraten und ein Cordon Bleu mit Käsespätzle. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell.

Wir haben uns überhaupt nicht willkommen gefühlt. Man kann nur Bar zahlen. Sehr merkwürdig. Bier nur dreiviertel voll. Junge Bedienung sehr sehr nett. Geschäftsführer leider unmöglich.

Best meal I’ve eaten in Germany. The mixed salad had the best dressing I wish I could get the recipe. For the entrees we got the duck which was the best we had ever had and the pork roast with cream mushroom sauce and spatzle. To top it off the chocolate soufflé was perfect rich but not too sweet. Definitely a place I’d eat at again and again.

Wir sind hier nach einer Wanderung spontan eingekehrt und sind nicht enttäuscht worden! Wir haben eine Schweinshaxe und eine Ente bestellt. Beides kam sehr flott und war geschmacklich für uns grandios! Die Portionen sind groß. Auch der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Man sitzt sehr nett an einem Brunnen. Wir kommen wieder. Klare Empfehlung!

Nach langer Wanderung haben wir uns entschieden zum essen. Portion gut und schön. Trotzdem fehlte etwas an den Speisen. Selbstgemachte Brotzeit war besser Service Atmosphäre sehr gut.
