Taleh Thai in Berlin

We arrived in Berlin today and had dinner here. Everything was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive.

Small but authentic, and the food is of great quality. We're very impressed and say THANK YOU!!!

Very small but fine restaurant with very friendly staff. The food was really delicious, nicely presented and pleasant to eat. However, it could have been a little harsher. The homemade sweet and sour soup is recommended. [It was spicy :o)] In terms of price, the restaurant is also completely okay. The two of us had a starter, main course and dessert including drinks for 35/person. We'd love to go there again.

Even though the waitress didn't speak English, she was super friendly! The shrimp fried rice was delicious, as was the seafood curry! This is my third time at this restaurant and it always surprises me!!!

The two of us were there spontaneously and were lucky that a table just became available. We had little time, which the service staff took into consideration. The food was delicious and the tea selection was huge.

This has been our family's favourite restaurant for almost 20 years. The food is always fresh and delicious. And the Prices are very reasonable. It's small, so for dinner be sure to book in advance.

A small but very nice restaurant. Located on a quiet side street. Very friendly staff. Had a starter and main course. Both were excellent. Rarely eaten so well. The price-performance ratio was perfect. In short. Only recommended. Gladly again.

We’ve been here twice since we discovered this place and we will come every chance we get. Amazing flavours, extremely fresh food, and lovely people. A small hidden gem that is genuinely among the best in this city.

Extremely unfriendly. Went in early on a Wednesday evening and were greeted with a shake of the head, immediately turned around and left us standing at the entrance. Not recommended. I would have liked to try it, but I can't judge the food.

We eat there regularly with the company. Very tasty, good portions and friendly service. Nicely decorated inside, right on the street outside. Parking spaces are gambling in the area, space in the restaurant is limited, but reservation and ordering in advance is possible and recommended if you want to go with several people. Payment cash or by card.

I have never eaten such tasty and fresh food on Berlin. The best Thai restaurant by far!!

Great Thai in a nice area (Volkspark Friedrichshain is around the corner). Six of us wait there at 5:00 p.m. By 6:00 p.m. all tables were full. Reservation is therefore recommended. We enjoyed the authentic meal under the eyes of the reclining Buddha. Prices ok. Service quick. We'd love to come back.

5 stars is not enough for this place, this is 6/5 establishment. Incredibly fresh and tasty! And they offer Prik Nam Pla. Prices are right. My favourite thai in Berlin and I have been to almost all of them. I had Pad Kra Pao and Tom Kha style soup. Mind blown.

Quiet atmosphere and nice outdoor area. The service was incredibly friendly, they didn't leave a tip despite the possibility of card payment being pressed, a rare experience. The food was fantastic. It's not a cheap restaurant but it's worth every cent! Clear 5/5 stars

As a big fan of Thai cuisine, I was very impressed by the skill of the chefs here. The originality of the dishes, the ambience, service and friendliness have I really like it. My curry was an experience, the conversation about past kings was a joy. I would love to come back!

On my first visit to Taleh Thai, I was amazed by the quality and authenticity of the food. The only point of criticism is the drinks prices, which seem too high in comparison. I find a 0.75l bottle of water for €8 to be overpriced. Update: The operator questioned me and claimed that the 0.75l bottle of water costs €7 and not €8. Today I checked the card again and found that the 0.75l bottle of water still costs €8.

Finally found a decent Thai restaurant in Berlin. Ordered the red and green curries; a little watery but still delicious and flavorful. Service was great as well. Will be back soon!

Outstanding food. The clear Tom Yam soup was very authentic. The service was also excellent and super friendly. Another highlight was that there was Thai milk tea. You rarely find it in Germany. Absolute recommendation!

Nice, small thai resturant. We first couldn't really find it since it's behind construction but the actual atmosphere is great. The service was a bit slow and I dislked the fact that they allowed random people selling newspaper (for example) who were disturbing us the whole time. The food was quite salty nor was it really the best. 7/10

Very tasty, very nice, pleasantly quiet and relaxed atmosphere in the afternoon. Portion size was also good and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately there is scaffolding in front of the door at the moment, but it is open normally. Large selection of teas and also beautifully served in a small metal pot and delicious. Tom Kha soup also looks great in a warm metal stand. Rice too. 41€ for two people with two delicious starters, Tom Kha with rice of which we took a small portion home with us and a dessert and two teas is absolutely fair.

Delicious food, there were 8 of us in total and everyone enjoyed it.

“Simple restaurant with noodles, soups and curries” in the Google description doesn’t really describe it. I think Taleh Thai in Prenzlauer Berg best approximates the cuisine I know from Thailand. The spice and spiciness are not as understated as in many Asian restaurants. The extensive menu contains many dishes that I can't find anywhere else in Berlin and some that I didn't even know about. A big difference to the usual offering of curry red/yellow/green/Massaman with tofu/chicken/pork/beef/duck crispy. The courts have their own signature. Some taste a little different than elsewhere, but always better.

Nice, small Thai Restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg. I really really like the place, it's one of the few real Thai restaurants in Berlin. It has its own flavour and they're preparing meals that are consistently good. I love that they use the typical veggies like small Thai eggplants. The place has few tables, I'd recommend to make a reservation instead of trying your luck, especially if there's more than two of you. I tried several dishes here but the green curry is one of my favourites, it tastes different from all others Thai I've tried in Berlin and it's really good. Prices are fair for the area, most main meals are within the 13~14 euros range. In general it's a restaurant I'd surely recommend for a nice and original Thai meal in Berlin.

I found this place by chance. The food is super great. Fresh cuisine, without glutamate. I was a guest there two evenings in a row. The only drawback is that you have to pay in cash. But the food and ambience is wonderful.

Thalet Thai has been our favorite Thai restaurant for many years. The service is always very friendly. You don't have to wait long and the food tastes excellent. Reservation is recommended.

Ambiente und essen ist ok. Speisekarte und Service ist eher verwirrend. Jedoch sind die Getränkepreise sehr angezogen. Als Beispiel bezahlten wir 6€ für eine 0,4 Cola. Das ist schon sehr stark überzogen.

Der Laden ist eher klein, aber sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und konnte auf Nachfrage auch passende Empfehlungen geben. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, und bietet ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wenn ich mal wieder in dieser Ecke von Berlin bin, komm ich sehr gerne wieder vorbei.

Sehr hochpreisig. Für diese Preise darf man eigentlich auch ein entsprechendes Ambiente erwarten. Fehlanzeige. Die Mitarbeiter schreien und gackern laut aus der Küche heraus, es wird gepoltert und Geschirrspüler hinterm Tresen lautstark ausgeräumt. Auch mitten im Restaurant wird sich durch Mitarbeiter über Tische hinweg angeschrien. Wir konnten uns kaum unterhalten und fühlten uns sehr unwohl. Waren froh, als wir fertig waren. Essen schmeckt, aber für diese Ambiente einer Bahnhofskantine sind die Preise eine Frechheit. Nie wieder.

Relaxed small restaurant serving good quality Thai food in comfortable surroundings. The restaurant is fairly small so I would recommend booking which was very easy online. A good choice of dishes but limited selection of wine. Very friendly service. I would say that the food was of an above average quality but not exceptional. The Buddha decoration is simply a poster. A very short walk from the tram to /from Alexanderplatz. Very reasonable prices.

i got a lunch take a way there. unfortunately i didnt feel treated well by the waitress, who laughed at my questions about the ingredients due to my allergies. It was not possible to get the glass noodle salad, that i would have liked, without the things i cant eat. one of them is soya. So the waitress recommended me fried glassnoodles, which i ordered. when i unpacked my food in the park i couldnt believe it: the noodles where soaked in soya sauce! plus the food was super burned! I ended up throwing away the meal, whatta waste of money : (

Wenn ich mir die andere Rezensionen anschaue und meine eigene Erfahrung mit dem Restaurant vergleiche, finde ich den großen Unterschied doch recht merkwürdig. Die Preise sind zu hoch, für diese Preise hätte ich eine höhere Qualität erwartet! Ich habe für gebratene Nudeln mit Gemüse und Hähnchenfleisch nicht kross gleich 12€ bezahlt. Das gleiche bei der Qualität hätte ich auch woanders für 7-8€ bekommen. Eine kleiner Softdrink kostet mal eben 3,5€ und groß 6€. Die Getränke sind ebenfalls unverhältnismäßig teurer als wie bei der Konkurrenz. Zum Essen es war viel zu fettig und süß. Obendrein war das Essen noch in einer Soße ertränkt. Hier fehlt in der Küche das richtige Maß, wie und wieviel man von den Zutaten verwendet und anscheinend auch die Erfahrung, wie man richtig kocht. Geschmacklich war das nichts für mich...wer sein Essen so extrem fettig und süß geklatscht mag ist hier richtig. Einzig positive beim Essen war tatsächlich die Menge der Portion, man wird immerhin satt davon. Zum Service ich war etwas baff als die Servicekraft die Speisekarte auf den Tisch geworfen hat. Nachgefragt ob es denn geschmeckt hat wurde ich auch nicht. Zum bezahlen soll man nach vorne kommen.... ja was soll man dazu noch sagen. Da frage ich mich als Kunde doch, wieso sollte ich das Restaurant erneut besuchen? Mir fällt kein Argument ein wieso ich das tun sollte!

Habe selten so schlecht gegessen. Vegetarische Frühlingsrollen aus der Tiefkühltruhe, das Curry bestand fast ausschließlich aus Dosengemüse...und teurer ist es auch noch geworden.

Wir sind begeistert. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, die Angestellten sind freundlich und das Ambiente ansprechend. Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Unbedingt reservieren, es herrscht reger Andrang.

Satt wird man nicht von den kleinen Portionen. Der Gastraum ist so mit Tischen und Stühlen eingeräumt, dass man praktisch immer im Weg oder zu eng oder im Zug sitzt. Nicht gemütlich.
