Great options for the katsu meat: beef, chicken, vegetarian meat. The place was amazing, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, curry was DELICIOUS, I straight up marked this on my list to come back. SO good. They take cards.

Good, balanced Katsu curry with optional kimchi or cheese toppings too. I was surprised of the Karaage which we ordered additionally. They were juicy and tender. I've often been served dry Karaage in other restaurants. The staff was nice and friendly.

Was really good few years back but been getting worse over time. I have it delivered and over time noticed and ingredients getting simpler. Before there was carrot and potato in the curry now it's just sauce.

The food is very tasty here! It has charm and it doesn't just look appealing! The cocktails were very tasty (alc-free mojito & the Pirsisch cocktail with alc). The latter was very refreshing but there wasn't a lot of alcohol in it, which was an advantage for us. The curry was very tasty, both chicken katsu and pork katsu. It was served with sushi rice, crisp salad and red vegetables. A play of colors between the individual components invited you to eat :). Simple, but still brilliant! The sushi rice didn't absorb any curry, so you could spoon the individual components as you wish and it didn't result in a "common mush". It's definitely worth a visit!

I really enjoyed this curry restaurant so much! The taste of curry with chicken cutlet was so exquisite. Ginger pickles also give it extra flavor (it was actually yum pickles that you can just eat itself). This curry reminded me of some delicious Japanese curry in Japan. It was that quality! Great combination with beer of course. Also the atmosphere is very nice and the service was good too. I really recommend this restaurant!

the portion was tiny - the chicken katsu was smaller than the palm of your hand and that was 12€ never coming back here. won’t be coming back here

The taste is good, the price is right, the curry and curry are delicious, the only drawback is that the rice is so-so. Rice is the soul of Karasu!

We came here spontaneously. Everything was very full, but we still got a small table. We were very excited because we only knew Thai and Indian curry, but not Japanese. It was interesting, the taste was more like Indian, which surprised us. The curry was very tasty, but we generally missed the vegetables. Sure, you could have ordered it with it, but with curry it should have been homemade. The map is very manageable. There are various curries with and without meat. Beer 5€ (Veltins, is there better, thumbs down)

It is a small and cozy restaurant. When you enter the place, you can already smell the delicious food. We went there to eat at lunch time and they have different menu offers which includes a curry meal and a sencha tea. The menus are about 8 EUR. We recommend Karaage Curry, it is so so yummy, much better than the Katsu (still very tasty). There is also a vegan option! The food was cooked very quickly and the staff very nice. Will visit this place more often!

Take out — Curry and rice were cold. Had stomachache after eating. I picked up my order at the restaurant no later than 5 mins after I received a confirmation from Wolt that my order was ready. The rice was cold, and the curry was only lukewarm. I needed to reheat them both. I’ve had okay experiences in the past at Takenori, both dine-in and take-away. After today, I don’t think I’ll come back.

The crispy chicken and matcha latte was amazing. But the chicken katsu curry and dorayaki was only okay. The waitress was really nice though.

Incredibly cozy, relaxed and very authentic little Japanese restaurant with a really tasty, home-style Japanese curry that I really enjoyed. At lunchtime there are inexpensive lunch dishes with a house tea included and in the evening there is a classic à la carte menu with a larger selection of dishes. I will definitely go back soon. Arrigatou gozaimasu! 🧡

The best curry and karaage I've ever had. The vegan mushroom-soy “croquettes” (Korage) are highly recommended. Courteous staff and fast, friendly service. The lunch menus are worth it.

Takenori offers a wide variety of Japanese curry. You can find both meat and vegan/vegetarian options. We had the Special C (fried chicken) and D (beef, kimchi, edamame). Both were great while the beef was absolutely outstanding, the best I had for a long time in Berlin 👌 Very friendly service completes the perfect late lunch 🚀

Small, cute, not overcrowded and delicious food. We've been wanting to go in for a while and thought it was great.

We ordered the vegan katsu curry. It was alright. The schnitzel tasted like any other store bought schnitzel and the curry was just „good“. The dish felt very homogeneous. But maybe I had wrong expectations.

They push their vegetarian options so heavily that you might be mistaken and think they don't have meat, and that would be too bad, because this is one of the few places in Berlin where one can get an authentic pork Katsu Curry. Curry sauce was good. Thick and rich, there were two potatoes in it. No complaints. The cut of the pork was good. No extra fat like they sometimes do in Japan; I prefer it without the fat, so I count that as a plus. They fixed their breading since the last time I was here, and it is now perfect! The red pickled vegetables were mostly cauliflower, which was an odd choice. Definitely not the strong flavor I was expecting. The salad was lettuce and not shredded cabbage, but the dressing was good. Matcha milk tea was good. Waitress did respond appropriately when I spoke Japanese to her, so add a point for that! Decour inside have a fun comforting atmosphere, and they had no trouble pulling a "reserved" tag off a table for me to sit at.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Bedienung war super aufmerksam. Nur der Tisch direkt an der Tür ist im Winter nicht empfehlenswert, der Vorhang an der Tür nur zur Deko.

Sofern man Curry mag sehr lecker! Ein süßes, kleines, authentisches Restaurant.

Wir waren als Gruppe dort und es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Viele Lieferdienste haben dort Essen abgeholt, was ebenfalls für die Qualität der Speisen spricht. Der Service war auch sehr gut.

Bestes Japanisches Curry! Jedes Mal wenn wir nach Berlin kommen ein muss. Sehr gutes veganes Angebot und einfach richtig lecker, besonders bei kaltem Winter Wetter.

We ordered the Takenori Special C and Beef Curry Rice, along with Matcha Latte and Dorayaki. The portions were exceptionally generous for two girls, and we felt really full and satisfied. The eggs in the rice were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of firmness. The beverages and desserts were also delicious, and the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Wir haben hier bestellt. Leider war das Curry nicht so wirklich unser Geschmack und grundsätzlich bestand das Essen auch nur aus paniertem Hähnchen, Reis und Soße. Mir wurde im Laufe des Abends übel und ich hatte mich übergeben. Ich vermute es wurde nicht ganz hygienisch gearbeitet.

Every year when in Berlin I am visiting this restaurant again. I enjoy their different curries a lot. From Katsu Curry to Yakinku Curry, everything very tasty and super friendly servce.

Ein sehr süßes Lokal mit besonderen Cocktails und einer großen Auswahl an japanischen Curry-Gerichten. Das Curry war wirklich excellent zu einem super Preis. Die Portion war riesig und frisch zubereitet. Wir entschieden uns für einen Cocktail bestehend aus einem traditionell japanischen Tee mit einem Pfirsichlikör - auch das war wirklich sehr empfehlenswert. Der Service war zuvorkommend und das Ambiente war japanischen angehaucht. Wir kommen jederzeit gern wieder.

Das Curry war in Ordnung, mehr aber leider nicht.... wer sich nach einem langen Tag ein Curry im Persona 5 Stil erhofft wird hier etwas enttäuscht. Die Aromen sind zu wenig entwickelt und das Fleisch könnte krosser sein. Trotzdem ist es einen Besuch wert, da es soetwas nicht so häufig in Berlin gibt

curry sehr gut, fried chicken auch sehr gut, aber schrecklicher Empfang, ich gebe nicht den Betrag des Trinkgelds an, aber die Kellnerin nimmt es und geht mit dem ganzen Betrag weg, es war nicht viel, aber es ist nicht korrekt.

The best Hojicha Latte I've tried. Even though normally I don't like chicken breast, but their Chicken Katsu Curry is really good, the cover is thin, crispy and the inside is juicy, not dry at all. Just perfect. I will definitely come back!

Das Curry konnte geschmacklich leider nicht überzeugen. Ich fand es für einen japanischen Kare zu fade. Das Katsu (Schnitzel) war ok.

Ein kleines, aber gemütliches Restaurant, das leckeres Curry serviert. Ich war froh, als ich die vielen vegetarischen bzw. veganen Optionen gesehen habe. Das Kimchi war leider fade im Geschmack. Außerdem war das Personal sehr freundlich.

Hatte ein Chicken Katsu Curry, Kimchi und einen Sencha Tee. Das Curry war super, das Kimchi hingegen für meinen Geschmack zu lasch. Der Tee war aber super. Der Service war ein bisschen langsam und wirkte teilweise genervt. Das Restaurant ist an sich relativ klein, aber definitiv wert ausprobiert zu werden. Es gibt auch viele vegetarische Gerichte.

Wir wollten schon seit langem in dieses Restaurant gehen, aber leider hatten wir nie die Gelegenheit dazu. Als wir endlich in der Gegend waren, gingen wir direkt in dieses Restaurant. Wir lieben Curry, aber dies war das erste Mal, dass wir japanisches Curry probierten. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist ziemlich groß. Es gibt auch eine Option für Veganer und Vegetarier. Der Preis und die Qualität stimmen. Auch der Service hier war sehr freundlich. Für Curry-Liebhaber (im europäischen Sinne) kann ich dieses Lokal nur empfehlen.

Meist sehr leer, warum auch immer denn der Laden ist soooo gut. Das beste Essen, welches ich bisher im Restaurant gegessen habe. Und authentisch!

Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und für den Preis wirklich Tip Top. Ich fühle mich hier jedes Mal sehr wohl und komme gerne hierher. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres japanisches Curry. Ich hatte ein Mittagsmenü mit einem Katsu Curry. Das gibt es mit Schweinefleisch oder Hähnchenfleisch. Das Curry war schön mild und hatte eine dezente Ingwernote. Dazu gab es noch ein gekühlten Hojicha (gerösteter grüner japanischer Tee). Der Tee ist schön erfrischend. Als Nachtisch gab es noch (vegane) Doriyaki, ein Minipfannkuchen mit roter Bohnenpaste. Ich komme gerne wieder 😄

Wir haben hier lecker zu Abend gegessen. Egal, ob japanischer Tee, japanisches Bier, Ente oder Kimchi, alles war lecker und ausreichend.

Quick seating, good service, refreshing cold barley tea and a curry bowl that went down a treat. If you can spare a couple more euros, I recommend trying the specials. My only regret is not living further into the city to take advantage of such a nice, cosy spot.

Very nice Japanese comfort food, an welcome change from the usual standards like ramen, etc. The curry was good and the tonkatsu was very tender and juicy, portion was definitely generous. Some of the toppings are a bit unconventional (edamame) and I thought the tsukemono were missing a bit of oomph, but overall a tasty meal and a great value for money. Highly recommend and looking forward to another visit!

Just ordered a beautiful katsu curry (delivery) and: - the chicken was deliciously tender and super crispy(!) - the curry was nicely spiced and very aromatic - the rice was fluffy, the portion was large! - there was a red spice mix as a topping (very good) - the kimchi I ordered extra was beautiful! All in all a super generous, delightful and classic Japanese curry that was truly heartwarming after a tough day! Thank you Takenori team! 💖🥹 I ate this way too quickly hahaha!

I don't know what happened to the elder waitress, the one who is obviously not Japanese. She is very rude, and force the customer to pay tips to her. After eating, I was taking care of my two years old kid who was running into the street. But the rude waitress held me back and asked me to pay first. What's the problem of you? Don't you have children? Is the child's life less important than your bill now? She has no spirits of customer service at all. I was ready to pay by card, then she started to hold the machine to request tips. Unbelievable. There's no thank you or any other politeness courtesy at all. I hope she is not messing up the restaurant with this bad attitude, she doesn't deserve it. Two stars are for the delicious food.

Schon viele gute Tage hier gehabt. Das Essen ist, soweit ich das einschätzen kann, recht einzigartig in der Gegend. So ein Curry mit panierten Pilzkroketten und Käse hab ich tatsächlich noch nie woanders gehabt. Super lecker und vielseitig. Japanisches Bier gibt es auch. Schmeckt gut. Bedienung ist immer nett. Es gibt auch Japanische Nachspeisen und Tee. Wirklich guter Laden. Gerne wieder

Jättebra service och väldigt god mat! Min vän fick ett väldigt fint bemötande, trots att hon är glutenintolerant och har haft det väldigt tufft i livet. Det fanns även många veganska alternativ vilket min andra vän som är vegan uppskattade! Kommer gärna tillbaka om jag har vägarna förbi!

The service is good, but the Japanese curry rice is not authentic, kinda salty and watery. The rice is also not the short grain rice. But the chicken katsu was good, crispy. The shop owner is friendly. Lunch set could be nice, but the dinner menu is not worth it.

Japanese curry...I didn't know it was a thing. But it is and it's delicious. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Good service. Because of music blasting from next door reggae store atmosphere was a little less. Unless you like reggae, which I don't. All in all recommended.

Was craving some Japanese curry so decided to try out this place. Had a couple of items - Soy and mushroom croquettes, Chicken Katsu curry, cold hojicha tea and Matcha ice cream. Croquettes were perfectly fried but I would have really enjoyed some kind of sauce with it, the Japanese curry was quite nice and spicy, the flavour was good but I can't tell how authentic it was, the chicken with the curry on the other hand was not cooked that we'll and was a little dry. The tea was nice too and I think the ice cream was bitter but well balanced. Overall I would say it was a good experience and I would probably come here again if I crave Japanese curry :)

Legit Japanese curry just like in Japan

Authentic Japanese curry made by Japanese staff. Not the best I’ve had, but pretty good by Berlin standards. Not spicy at all, but you can add chilli powder to your preference.

Actually last visited here a few months ago and would come here every time when I want a Japanese curry in Berlin. Food is simply delicious and the dish consistently looks fantastic too. This time I had a curry in another restaurant as they were closed on Monday. It made me want to come and rate how great this one is in comparison. Please keep it up.

炸豬排與咖哩都很好吃，份量不算非常多，但吃的很滿足👍 意外的是沙拉上面居然是油蔥酥，有點違和但可以接受！ 用餐氣氛佳！店員用日文聊天，撥放有名的日文歌，讓人一時之間忘記在德國🤣
