Great food and excellent service. Ordering is also very easy. The only downside: they only accept cash or debit cards – so 2010! Perhaps they could offer one or two vegetarian options or a meatless schnitzel so the whole family can have something to eat.

We were there for dinner. I ate a schnitzel with mushroom sauce and fried potatoes and my girlfriend ate cheese spaetzle. We both enjoyed it.

We were here on the tour bus from Plau am See and wanted to have lunch. The restaurant is taking it from the Lebendigen (living) in Malchow, and one local wanted €6.40 for a 0.5L beer. There's no need to support that. At the German House, we had a hamburger schnitzel with beer for €19.90, and the food was good, and the service was friendly. So, that's okay.

You should stay away from this house! No breakfast, accident-prone, unfriendly,... I question whether the building's condition deserves to be licensed as a "hotel"! For example: The three rooms on the first floor (huge!) only share one toilet/bathroom!

We had a very nice room. The room and bathroom were very large, clean, and comfortable. You should close the window at night, as it can get very noisy.

Best value for money in this region. The food was excellent.

Beautiful beer garden, the food was delicious and the portions generous. We had schnitzel and zander. Both were delicious, served with a small salad. The service was very friendly. Wait times were perfectly acceptable. The price/performance ratio was definitely good. Highly recommended.

The food is delicious. Unfortunately, there's no explanation of the additives, and the staff doesn't understand what I'm trying to ask. What about "questions"?

We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, and the owner is very kind. When paying by card, it turned out that you can only pay with a German card. Unfortunately, we didn't have one with us; we had to pay at the hotel. We couldn't pay by phone either. The owner said we could come back tomorrow and pay the bill without a problem. Thank you again, and we recommend it ♥️💚

The supposed Kässpätzle were actually pasta with cheese sauce! Apparently, the owner has changed again, unnoticed, and the once excellent Austrian chef is gone again! Service is fast, but difficult to understand.

The hotel, run by very friendly staff, was the starting point for my five-day cycling tours in the surrounding area. The room with shower/WC was clean, bright, and functionally furnished; a good breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for €12.50 (as of June 2025). I would highly recommend the herring fillet with fried potatoes and cucumber salad for dinner; you can enjoy it inside the restaurant or in the beer garden. The hotel/restaurant is centrally located; 1 minute from the swing bridge, boat dock, cafés, ice cream parlors, fish restaurants, and much more; everything is within walking distance; the tourist information office is next door. There is secure, dry, lockable storage for bicycles 30 meters away. There are two free parking spaces for cars. I would be happy to come back.

We had dinner at the Deutsches Haus, even though we weren't staying there. There were plenty of seats. The service was quite quick. The menu focuses primarily on schnitzel, but there are other dishes to choose from. Visually and taste-wise, I wouldn't classify the food as a particularly good fast food restaurant. Fortunately, the area has many excellent restaurants.

Hello dear team at Deutsches Haus, We had dinner with you this evening. The food was good, but the pasta wasn't that good and there was relatively little of it. The other dishes were good. The service was often a bit confusing, but still courteous. All the best!

Super nice service! We were 4 adults and two children and everyone really enjoyed it. The cucumber salad and the side salad were a real taste surprise!

Furnishings very ordinary, staff friendly and quick. Here we serve German home cooking, our schnitzels were ready quickly and tasted really good. The side dishes were a bit poor but the price was okay for this meal.

Very tasty food. Ordered there for the first time today. It was delivered very quickly, the food was warm and tasted a 10 out of 10. We had schnitzel and a burger. A little more of the delicious hollondaise sauce with the schnitzel would have been cool. But all in all, great food. We will definitely order more often :)

The ambiance of this restaurant is not particularly recommendable. The menu leaves much to be desired. The schnitzels seem very large, but you can almost see through them once the breading is removed. I'm thinking they were deep-fried schnitzels. The fried potatoes were served lukewarm. All in all, I can't recommend this restaurant at all.

Went there with 9 people for a birthday evening and were completely thrilled. Super nice staff, whether service or the chef personally, everyone takes time for the guests (for a little chat). We have never eaten such a good, tender and, above all, fresh schnitzel anywhere. The next birthday party will definitely take place there again. See you soon! Many greetings from the black poodle 😉

We were in the restaurant and the food was really delicious. We had the schnitzel with chanterelles and gorgonzola sauce. Both were fresh and simply delicious.

We stayed in the top "attic" room.Lovely & spacious. Had its own little lounge.There was a small communal fridge we were allowed to use. Such kind hosts. Hotel perfectly situated. Nice restaurant on the groundfloor for dinner. Very good schnitzel. Hotel mere minutes away from the delightful waterfront. Pop down at night to see the magic of the lights on the water. Excellent value for money. Such a lovely stay!

We can't say anything about the hotel and its rooms. We had dinner at the Deutsches Haus restaurant. The menu is very clear and the prices are moderate. The food was very tasty. The service was very nice and friendly.

Everything was great and, above all, delicious.

The Argentinian rump steak (medium) was tough and fibrous. It was served anywhere from lukewarm to almost cold (the herb butter didn't run!). Setvice and chef said that couldn't be right because the steak rested for the usual two minutes. The taste would have been okay. The best were the fried potatoes. Never again.

We were at the Deutschenhaus for dinner on May 4th, 2024. The service was super nice and friendly. The menu is clear. Our food tasted delicious and was a reasonable portion. Greetings from afar to Heidi and thanks for the great dinner.

The room has everything you need. Unfortunately out onto the street. Breakfast is adequate, just a bit tight when all seats are occupied. Parking spaces approx. 200 m away. Price ok for the season.

To be honest...it wasn't anything...a loveless establishment, plus two young people in service who obviously weren't particularly interested. In fact, I experienced there how bad my favorite cocktails can taste when quality and skill are skimped on.

We booked the room two months ago, but upon arrival found out that there is no free room. Our name was even on the booking list in their reception, and still they ignored our reservation. I find it extremely unprofessional. We were lucky that another hotel nearby had free room, otherwise don't really know where we would sleep at night.
