We had dinner today. What can 8ch say the best was the Radler. The food was edible. I had fries with cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was tasteless and not homemade. My husband had baked pulled pork and my daughter had a burger. All in all, the prices for the bad food are very high. The service was very nice. The ambience urgently needs to be overhauled. Doesn't invite you to linger. I felt the need to finish and leave. Scjade

Very nice restaurant, very nice, attentive service and the food was excellent.

Great local. Very nice and well-kept facility. The food was more than tasty and appetizingly prepared, the service was courteous and quick. If the weather is right and you can sit outside, you can also enjoy a fantastic view.

Our food (cheese hamburger 180gr with fries) tasted wonderful. The quantity was absolutely filling. I almost couldn't get up anymore 😁 There are enough free parking spaces nearby.

The two of us spontaneously went to the Klosterklause for dinner; it was during the week and there wasn't much going on. We ordered spare ribs and pulled pork as well as side dishes. The food was wonderful, everything freshly prepared and very tasty! The service was quick, and friendly. We give a clear recommendation and would like to emphasize the excellent price-performance ratio!

Four of us had dinner there this evening and we all enjoyed it very much, and the service was also very friendly and very attentive. When we're in the area again we'll stop by again.

The two of us ate there. I had the BBQ plate “Das Meisterstück”, which offered pulled pork, spare ribs and chicken. The meat was only lukewarm and relatively dry. When I asked, the plate was taken away again and a little later I was given a new portion with warmer meat. However, it was just as dry. The waiter then apologized and brought a schnapps. All in all, I wouldn't eat there again.

I had classic pulled pork and in retrospect was a bit disappointed to pay such a relatively high price for this portion. 5 euros less for this bowl would still be too much or at least a large portion of fries would have been fair. But it tasted pretty good and the service was friendly. However, a second visit is definitely out of the question for me.

Price performance is okay €-€€. Service was good. Food was tasty. Would love to go there again.

Super delicious food, attentive and friendly staff

Because of the good reviews, we drove to the “smokehouse” with some anticipation. Even without a reservation, we spontaneously got a table for two people, but afterwards we would have preferred to have been turned away. The service consisted of two people and 6 of 12 tables outside were occupied, an additional one inside... What can I say, I have never experienced service so hectic. Just try to breathe every now and then, no guest will be angry if it takes a minute longer! The order was taken quickly and the food came to us almost even faster. And here it would be appropriate if the kitchen took a full 15 minutes more time and tried their dishes every now and then. You can't get the pulled pork from the smoker, it's clear that it takes too long and you have to be prepared in the restaurant - but put some meat in a casserole dish, pour what is supposed to be malt beer sauce over it and then add a pack of grated cheese (definitely not pure Cheddar, at most cheddar mix) over it and heat it in the microwave... That's insulting to any actual smoker and doesn't match the price-performance ratio! The scalloped pile of meat described was served in a porcelain chip bowl (as in the pictures of other guests) and served with two different salads. I also didn't know that two salads were served as a side dish, so be it. The lettuce was OK, the dressing was good and not all the pieces in the salad were huge and connected. You could just about recognize the coleslaw described visually, but the taste had no character and it was more watery/stale than actual coleslaw. Absolutely not worth the price of almost €20 per plate and a rip-off at such a poor standard! Conclusion: The restaurant probably survives because tourists like us fall for it. Or the actual cook was sick, or or or... In any case, under ongoing circumstances like this, I can't imagine locals eating here. Feel free to try your luck if you have read my review before and feel the same way... I said it! 😉 I definitely can't recommend it.

Mmm, where do I start... The food was edible, but unfortunately neither corresponds to the name of the restaurant nor the menu. Because in my opinion, pulled pork and beef have never seen a smoker up close. I smoke and smoke myself and have eaten the original in the USA,... This is very, very far away from both. And with prices of around 20 euros per portion without any side dish, I expect to get what is on the menu. SHAME!

The pullet pork burger was amazing. Delicious. My wife had the veal liver and she also loved it.

We sat in the beer garden, which was absolutely okay, the service was friendly. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't suit me. The Pull Pork Platter Classic, for €18.90, probably also comes with a portion of fries.

In general very good, the place is highly recommended, apart from being very beautiful.

I was in this restaurant yesterday for dinner, very good reviews and I ordered the ribs as they were considered the best..... Honestly, I'll tell you what I think.... I didn't like it very much Loved it.... Ribs were obviously cooked a long time ago and I was just warmed up... as some of the ribs were cold inside, it's a shame I don't want to come here anymore!

Mega tender pulled pork. Cheeseburgers were really tasty too. Fries (side dishes) are ordered separately. But it was too much for us. Large portions.

Super delicious food! We had: pulled beef, smoked chicken, grilled vegetables, fries, cole slaw. Everything perfect! And the homemade raspberry and pineapple lemonade was a hit. Friendly staff, nice beer garden. Any time!

It's not that good, very short waiting time, so only warmed up, spare ribs were already ready, burgers were cold, not a good price/performance ratio

We were there on July 24th, 2024 and had booked a table beforehand. Is also advisable. Well, the staff were rowing a lot, but that's normal these days. Nevertheless, they were very friendly and nice. You didn't notice the stress on them, but you could see them whirling around a lot. These were professionals who knew their job and were always friendly. Now about the food. I highly recommend it. A very good cook is in the kitchen. My child had a good schnitzel that was nice and flat for us. We think it's great that way. There was also a cucumber salad that tasted like home. Yummy. My wife and I had a burger. She had a pullet burger and I had the one with more meat... There were fresh things on it and delicious toppings. My wife, who doesn't usually like BBQ sauce, found it really tasty. My burger was amazing and everything was super filling. Well, you had to order the fries separately, but everyone has to decide for themselves since the burgers themselves are very filling. Sure, some complain about the price, but a good burger and also handmade has its price, which is completely justified here. If you want to pay less, you have to eat the ready-made stuff from fast food chains. Finally, all I can say is great service and a really good cook. It's a good team. Keep it up.

The restaurant is simply great. The food is extremely tasty and is served quickly, so there are no long waiting times. Particularly noteworthy is the child-friendliness of the house: children are very welcome here and there are special offers for younger guests. A great place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal with the whole family.

Hatte spare Ribs und Hähnchen aus dem Smoker . Das Hähnchen war nicht durch und kalt , die Ribs ok. Beilagen - Pommes sehr gut - Rosmarin Kartoffeln vom Vortag aufgewärmt - ungenießbar. Man sitzt sehr nett . Essen würden wir dort nicht nochmal

Ein gemütliches Restaurant mit Biergarten und abwechslungsreicher Küche, vor allen Dingen etwas kreativere vegetarische/vegane Gerichte. Das Linsencurry und der Pulled Beef Burger waren richtig gut zubereitet bei einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Allerdings gab es doch einen Wermutstropfen bei unserem Aufenthalt. Die Klosterklause betreibt auch den WWR Malchow, den wir vor einigen Jahren bereits zu schätzen wussten. In diesem Jahr gab es einen Hafenmeister vor Ort, der die ankommenden Bootfahrer sehr ruhig und kompetent in ihre Boxen komplimentierte. Unsere Liegegebühr allerdings wurde doppelt berechnet, da unser Boot 25 cm breiter als 3,50 m war. So mussten wir für eine Nacht nur Liegegebühr 33 € zahlen. Das finden wir ziemlich unverschämt und werden in Zukunft diesen Liegeplatz meiden. Unser Vercharterer wurde auch informiert.

Very nice restaurant with great outdoor lighting on the edge of Malchow. Clean, bed, friendly. Offering fish, meat but also vegetarian dishes. Toilets in the basement - entrance via a few steps. When it's cool outside, it drafts quickly when serving outside.

The food was really good, the spare ribs were one of the best I've had to date. However, the prices are quite steep. 6€ for a juice spritzer and 5.50€ for a beer are very cheeky.

We would have loved to come and eat, but unfortunately we were treated so rudely at the pier that we continued on and were therefore unable to visit their probably good restaurant. It's a shame, welcoming guests is different! Maybe talk to us there.

BBQ smoker is cool. It's also at the entrance, but it wasn't on. Was there a barbecue in the kitchen or was everything already prepared? The schnitzel with panko breading definitely looked like a finished product, it was wafer-thin and dry. The burger was ok but no side dishes. I believe all dishes come without side dishes and cost extra. Prices are then no longer appropriate but too expensive. Outdoor seating at the front (midday sun) and beer garden at the back (evening sun).

Small, cute and familiar. Stopped here for lunch. Friendly welcome and we immediately realized that we still needed a baby chair. The small but very well selected menu is convincing. We would be happy to come back if our vacation takes us here again.

We had a very good meal here after a short wait. The halloumi patties with herb cream and salad bouquet were really tasty. The “Classic” pulled pork was also tasty, but could have been seasoned a little more intensely. The drinks and service were great!

A nice beer garden and friendly staff - great. The schnitzel, however, is overpriced and not what you expect. The cucumber salad was floating in some kind of liquid. A pity.

The first spare ribs were burnt and the second delivery was dry and tough. But the side salad was simply great. If you advertise the "smooker", you have to be able to use it correctly.

The BBQ plate was good in itself, but unfortunately the spare ribs were very dry and over-seasoned with a spice that made them inedible. The chilli fries were very tasty. The ambience was really nice. The staff very friendly and accommodating.

wir haben uns gefreut, dass das Restaurant, das wir vor zwei Jahren schon einmal besucht haben, noch existiert. Gegessen haben wir den Chickenburger und den Pulled beef Burger und Omas Gurkensalat. Die Portionen waren sehr reichlich, so dass ich meine nicht geschafft habe. Es war ausgesprochen lecker! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, die Preise angemessen. Besonders schön wird es im Sommer sein, wenn man im Biergarten draußen sitzen kann. Wir kommen wieder!

Everything from the smoker as it should be...gladly again

We visit this extremely friendly restaurant every year while on vacation and have always been very satisfied. The food comes reasonably quickly and is served perfectly arranged. We have now tried almost all of the menu and everything was always very tasty. The furnishings are nice and tasteful, the toilet area is large and clean. Showers and baby changing rooms are also available. The perfect pier for water hikers (harbor master at the counter) and a guaranteed feel-good experience for excursions etc., especially if the weather is right, because you can sit outside in peace and sunshine.

After a long hike we had 2 burgers (cheese and pulled beef) - both the burgers and the fries and sauces were really great. We'll be back soon when it's nice to sit outside. Be careful, portions are large 😉 Bring your hunger

If you want to have a good meal, then this is the place for you. If you appreciate putting some thought into the menu and the food, you definitely can't go wrong with a visit here!

We were there shortly before the end of the season, food on the table in 5 minutes, not good at all, service talked too much, no replacement offered, not even a schnapps. Never again!!!

Mega lecker, ein gemütliches kleines Restaurant mit Biergarten .Im Sommer ist etwas mehr los, die Kellnerin sagte dann nur mit Vorbestellung sonst sieht es schlecht aus :) . Was ich mir vorstellen kann da im Sommer der Smoker Aktiv ist!! Aber sehr zu empfehlen, dass essen kam schnell und war alles frisch zubereitet. Gut Größe der Portionen. Sehr zu empfehlen

Ja also das Essen ging so, es war gut zubereitet, hat geschmeckt aber bei unseren Rippchen hat man sich mehr erhofft.

Essen schmeckt kann man empfehlen, hatte das Meisterstück, es war gut jedoch könnte es etwas besser sein, bei den Ribs hätte ich vor dem smoken die Silberhaut entfernt, da die Ribs meiner Meinung nach weicher sind und sich der Knochen Butterweich ziehen lässt, dies war leider nicht der Fall, aber sie waren gut. Das Pulled Pork war etwas fad, hätte kräftiger schmecken können, ist meine persönliche Meinung. Das Hähnchen war der Hammer, der Salat gut und das Gemüse lecker. Für 24,95 würde ich jedoch nur einmal Von den Ribs auf den Teller legen. Die Chili-Chees Pommes einfach lecker. Der Chicken Burger der Hammer. Preisleistung ist Top, Service sehr freundlich. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende und schnelle Bedienung. Essen war sehr frisch und heiß, die Kürbissuppe 1A Qualität und Geschmack. Der BBQ-Teller und das gegrillte Gemüse waren auch super zubereitet und toll im Geschmack. Das ist für mich ehrliche Gastronomie ohne Schicki Micki - toll, weiter so.

BBQ-Teller geschmacklich sehr gut, sowohl das Fleisch als auch der Salat. Rippchen-Teller gut gewürzt, Enden leicht trocken, aber Mittelstück saftig. Beides reichlich. Service sehr zuvorkommend und alles schnell nach der Bestellung gekommen.

Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen dort mit 2 Personen und ich muß sagen wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Meine Frau hatte 1a Linsencurry und ich ein wirklich sehr großes Schnitzel mit Beilagen und beides zu sehr guten Preisen. Der Service war sehr flott und wirklich mehr als freundlich. So sollte es sein. Dankeschön .

Super tolles Essen für Fleischfans. Getränke könnten ruhig noch kühler sein bei warmen Wetter, aber das wäre jammern auf hohem Niveau. Tolles Essen, toller netter Service.

Wir waren vor einem Jahr hier und haben einen super leckeren Burger gegessen. Diesmal war der Burger durchschnittlich (Pattys sehr trocken und das Pulled Pork ebenfalls sehr trocken. Das konnte auch die BBQ Soße nicht retten. Bedienung war freundlich aber die Tische im Aussenbereich zum Teil schmutzig. Eindruck: stark nachgelassen.

Zu kleine Portionen. Essen ok. Bedienung sehr nett.

Wir hatten Pulled Pork Burger und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Service war freundlich und zügig. Bei schönem Wetter kann man draußen im Biergarten essen.

Eine sehr leckere, saftige Variante von Pulled Pork, und Ribs aus dem hauseigenen Smoker im Biergarten, war lohnenswert!

Wow - Wir sind einfach nur begeistert. Das Essen, sowohl vegetarisch als auch Chicken- bzw. Rindfleisch Burger waren super. Rindfleisch kam frisch vom Grill und die Burger-Buns waren auch alles andere als 0815. Beiliegende Salate bzw. Beilagen wie mediteranes Gemüse wurden gekonnt angerichtet. Wir hatten mit drei Personen vom Service zu tun und alle drei hatten Zeit für einen kurzen Plausch und waren offen und herzlich. Wir werden wieder kommen :-) Danke!
