Unfortunately we couldn't make a reservation. 6 people spontaneously... were pushed between for a maximum of 60 minutes. Everything was quick and chaotic... in the end we didn't care, we were hungry. Food very tasty, but quite expensive. Then you do it on vacation.

We are here on vacation and were really impressed. The best Greek restaurant I have ever visited. The staff is almost overly friendly. Highly recommended. We'll definitely come back here for a Greek meal by the lake on our next vacation. Pleasantly priced.

We ate at this restaurant 5 times yesterday. Sometimes as a couple and sometimes as a family (+2 kids). The hospitality is always outstanding and very noteworthy. There is something for everyone on the menu. For me personally, the gyros on offer are one of the best I've ever eaten (structure/herbs/flavor). We enjoy being guests there and for us it is one of the best restaurants we have here in the region.

Pre-reservation was not possible. Since we were there around 6 p.m., we still got seats. The food and service were very good

The food was good and freshly prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive despite the full house. We couldn't understand why we couldn't reserve a table. Had to go there on a “good luck” basis. It would have been stupid if we had driven so many kilometers for nothing.

To cut a long story short, unpleasant charred plastic smell in the restaurant (OK, maybe that's what happened in the kitchen). Service was friendly (but forgot parts of the order). Food: well, everything is a matter of taste, but gyros have a very high fat content in the skewer, metaxa sauce was at least 50% cream, and there were plastic parts in the calamari that were sold as bones, our little one's nuggets came out of the fry almost burnt. Yes, when there is stress in a location, things can go wrong.... But it was the middle of the week and the restaurant wasn't full... So no, not again

Hello, we ate here with four people and tested various dishes on the menu. We are very positively surprised by the quality of the food. It was nice that the dishes were balanced, i.e. not too meat-heavy. From our point of view, it is a very good recommendation to stay here. Thanks to the whole team and keep it up

No telephone availability during opening hours - and that in October and therefore outside the summer season. The automatic announcement is also embarrassing: bad acoustics, incomprehensible content, talks about the summer season in October.

I travel around the world a lot, but I haven't discovered such a delicious Greek restaurant yet! Fine, top-class gyros and other Greek dishes prepared with esprit are unparalleled. Add to that Greek hospitality with unobtrusive, friendly service, what more could you want? Maybe you have to wait for a table or no one answers the phone to reserve a table? I guess they just don't have time for it. I can't understand the strange bad reviews, but maybe they are fake reviews from envious market competitors or also called competitors with no chance...

We were there as a group. A very tastefully decorated restaurant with friendly service. Due to bad experiences (e.g. with guests not showing up), there is no telephone reservation option in the summer season. Mam actually has to show up twice. Once to reserve and once as a guest and then only with at least eight people if you want to reserve. Understandable, but unsatisfactory. To enjoy this beautiful restaurant, you have to dig a little deeper into your pockets. For normal earners, this works once or twice depending on the length of the vacation. On the other hand, quality has its price. However, for cost reasons, after a lovely evening, we opted for Italian and German restaurants.

Ich komme aus der Region Hamburg. Dort habe ich noch keinen Griechen gefunden der >20,- Euro für ein Bifteki nimmt. Der Salat war ok, bestand aber vorwiegend aus Eisberg-Blättern. Keine Olive, keine Pepperoni, kein Krautsalat. Bifteki ok aber nichts wirklich besonderes. Alles ok aber zu teuer für die Leistung.

The first truly perfectly delicious Greek restaurant. Despite being a tourist stronghold and the city center, high food quality, great taste and very, very friendly staff. And the beer garden is very atmospheric. A good place to enjoy life.

We came here without a reservation, with our dog, and were warmly welcomed. We had a grill plate for 2 people. The food came very quickly and was extremely tasty. Can only be recommended!

We were there spontaneously on a Sunday evening and got a table straight away.....unfortunately the seats at the lake are only for hotel guests.....but the food was very good, the waiters were very, very friendly, it wasn't a request didn't exist...... Portions were more than sufficient and very tasty despite the size 😋 😋 So no matter when we are back in Malchow, we're always happy and highly recommended

Very nice atmosphere...great courtyard...very warmly laid out. Unfortunately my grilled feta was cold, but it was tasty. The two waiters...a younger and an older one seemed very tense and sometimes unfriendly. Ouzo was available warm and only upon request.

We stayed in the attached Hotel Inselhof and ate in the restaurant in the evening. Quality and quantity were great. Service very friendly. Prices are absolutely ok for what is on offer. The inner courtyard is very lovingly designed with access to the lake. Everything is very nicely designed. Gladly again.

We often go to the "Griechen am See" and the food was/is always excellent. Price/performance fits! Ambiance, especially in the courtyard, is very nice. The service is very friendly and everyone puts in a lot of effort. Keep it up!!!!!

I actually don't like writing 5 star reviews because the room for improvement has to be minimal. But in my opinion there was a lot going on in this restaurant. The location is very central, there are 6 free parking spaces available, the restaurant itself is very large so you don't need a reservation and there are enough service staff for quick service. Why 5 stars? The food is simply phenomenally good. Without exception. I assumed a standard run-of-the-mill Greek with the obligatory free ouzo to start. But here a lot of attention was paid to the quality of the food. We were thrilled. We had gyros and bifteki. It was fantastic. The price is a little above the norm, but you also get a very large portion of the dish. I would come back here at any time. Thank you for this experience!

Da wir sehr gern in griechische Restaurants gehen, haben wir das auch hier gemacht. Unsere Erwartungen und die guten Rezensionen wurden nicht erfüllt. Kein leckerer Salat (bestand fast nur aus billigem Eisbergsalat, kein knuspriges Gyros (grobe Brocken und nochmals in Öl gewälzt), Bier zu warm. Diese „Leistungen“ haben dann auch noch einen unangemessen hohen Preis. Hier ist der Tourist willkommen zum abkassieren.

It seemed to become a great experience but after we waited for 40 minutes to get the main dish and again waited for another 15 minutes to get the bill - well it might take time… The meals were great, I question, but being ignored for such a long time is devastating.

There are 0 stars for the food. Grill parzer for 2 people was the worst we've ever had. All types of meat are coated with the same dry spice. Meat fatty and tough. Not edible. We were asked if it tasted good and unfortunately our answer was no. We didn't even ask why something was wrong... on the contrary, we were asked later if we wanted to take it with us. The drinks were two non-carbonated cola with just ice cubes added to the top. Prices outrageously expensive. Not recommended this restaurant. Shame on our money.

We went there for dinner with friends. Even though we came without a reservation, we were offered a place. Since there was a lot going on, the meal took a while. But we were informed of this in advance. The food is outstanding! It's worth waiting here. Each meal is served with a small Greek side salad. The portions are more than generous. Since we ate there with children and therefore not all of the plates were empty, we were immediately asked if we would like to take it with us. This is very thoughtful and sustainable. We were absolutely thrilled and would love to come back!

Unfortunately we couldn't sit in the courtyard due to the bad weather. Tzatziki, souvlaki, giros with bifteki were very tasty. It took a long time to reorder the drinks and receive the bill.

We sat in the courtyard. Very lovingly furnished, great ambience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating even though it was fully booked. Great compliments to the kitchen, it was very tasty, unfortunately too much. Keep it up. Highly recommended. If you are traveling with several people, you should book in advance. It was so delicious that I had to control myself NOT to lick the plate. I have never had such a tasty, complex sauce and such a delicate salad dressing. I will really miss something like this at home. 😊

Our visit to the restaurant Der Grieche am See in Malchow was an absolute highlight! We were there with friends and family and felt completely comfortable. The location of the restaurant is beautiful, right on the lake, and the view is simply wonderful. We were particularly impressed by the garden: it is lovingly decorated with colorful flowers and is a real feast for the eyes. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and had a remarkable eye for detail. From the welcome to the farewell, we were well looked after. The recommendations from the menu were excellent and we looked forward to trying the delicious appetizers and tasty selections from the grill. The portions were generous and each of us was more than full. The dessert, baked ice cream, was a special surprise and a unique experience that we have never had before. The selection of drinks also left nothing to be desired - from refreshing cocktails and lemonades to mastiha shots and limoncello, everything was there. We found the prices to be completely reasonable for the high quality and large portions. We can only warmly recommend “Der Grieche” and are looking forward to returning there on our next visit to Malchow. A must for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a fantastic atmosphere!

Top Very tasty gyros, moussaka and the children's plates were also very nicely prepared. Unfortunately you have to order tzatziki with the gyros, which was really very little. But otherwise the portions were generous. Service was absolutely friendly and fast (but we were there early and not very busy yet) We would like to come again!

The food was first class, the staff very attentive and friendly. We were guests twice and the first impression was confirmed, we felt really welcome. The bifteki is looking for something similar, according to my wife. I can definitely recommend the gyros. We will definitely come back the next time we visit the Müritz. Zur Abwechslung mal griechisch essen , wirkte nett mit schönem Innenhof . Schon um 17:30 sehr voll , Wir konnten nicht reservieren , bei anderen Gästen war das wohl anders. Wir bekamen aber noch einen Tisch . Konnten relativ schnell bestellen und der Wein kam schnell. Das Mineralwasser leider gar nicht und zwei angesprochene Kellnerinnen konnten wegen Deutschmangel nicht helfen! Das Wasser und der Wein war nach einer Stunde Wartezeit leer getrunken. Der Kellner meinte auf meine Frage ob man uns vergessen habe , nein aber wir wollten ja auch einen Vorspeisen Teller und ein Hauptgericht gleichzeitig . Klar der Kunde ist schuld !!! Nach uns gekommene ( eine Gruppe von 10) bekamen ihre Vorspeisen deutlich vor uns . Die große Grillplatte und die Vorspeisenplatten waren gut und groß . Meine Empfehlung man kann hingehen , verpasst aber nichts wenn nicht!

Wir sind Hotelgäste im Haus und waren bereits zum zweiten Mal hier essen. Ambiente sehr schön, Bedienung super freundlich und schnell!! Das Essen hervorragend…. Vorallem die Knoblauchkartoffeln! Und wenn man sich dann noch einen guten Metaxa zum Abschluss gönnt ist der Abend perfekt!!! 😍 Wir gehen zum Ende des Urlaubes noch einmal hin 🤗

An ordinary Greek restaurant with completely inflated prices. I'll give the owner his €100,000 Audi, but please no more at my expense. To give an example, the additional dollop of tzatziki cost a mere €4.90. (the original amount on the plate was more in the homeopathic range). The Cola is even more expensive at 5 euros a glass. I find that outrageous and I won't be coming back.

The food was okay, but could have been a little more for the price. The service was sometimes tried hard, but also overwhelmed and sometimes urgent and in the end even a bit unfriendly due to more visitors... I found the ambience simple but completely sufficient!

We (4 people) had dinner on July 16, 24 around 6 p.m. Difficult to find a parking space for a short journey = easy to find a parking space for a longer journey to the restaurant. We were lucky that we got a free table in the inner courtyard/outdoor area = great ambience. It would have been even better to be right on the water. But I think that the distance from the kitchen to the jetty is too long and the food gets cold more quickly, so there are no tables with service there. Very friendly and inquiring staff. I had gyros with bifteki and fries with a side salad. Bifteki very loose and airy shaped and fried. Gyros had too high a fat content for me. This meant that the gyro meat was very juicy (the fat in between or the fatty meat was not my thing). Due to the large number of guests and also to avoid long waiting times, our side salad was served in warm bowls (probably came straight from the dishwasher). The dressing on the salad was very tasty. The salad itself didn't appeal to me. It consisted of 90% iceberg lettuce. This is my personal impression and feeling. I also know that the complaining is at a high level. I can only recommend the restaurant and will eat there again.

We were there for dinner. The menu is very small and also very expensive. e.g. grill plate for 2 people €46.50. The side salad and also the fries were very small portions. All in all we were disappointed, there are much better and cheaper Greek places. The menu here online is outdated and not up to date as of 07/2024.

Great restaurant, very nice service

The Greek is on the lake, but with the waiting times you need a view so that you have something to do. When we arrived we were told that we would only be able to order after 20 minutes (which is fine in itself). When we were able to order after 40 minutes, we were informed that most of the dishes were unfortunately no longer available. After ordering we then had to wait another 50 minutes for the food. The food itself was good to okay, but in my opinion nothing special. The friendly criticism we then expressed was dismissed rather than accepted. A little tip: there is a french fries machine nearby, next time we'd rather go there than waste another 2 hours 😅

Never again.... advertise heavily on their website for reservations.... We then called and were told on the phone "just come over"... which we did... all the tables were occupied... "You can have a drink until a table becomes available in 20 - 30 minutes.... rip off like no other....
