I come here regularly with my brother for dinner. The Bigzsize Steak is always delicious and cooked to perfection. Best horse in the stable :-) Jörg. A waitress who makes sure our glasses are never empty and asks how we're doing with the food, etc. But she's also incredibly friendly. We thank the Tacheles team.

We ate very tasty Wiener Schnitzel here. I'd love to come back.

Was there to eat something again after a long time. The service is still very good, very friendly and attentive. You are served very quickly, the food comes quite quickly and it was tasty. A little hidden, but incomparably good! After I was here once in 2018, I went to TACHELES again - and it was worth it! I had a homemade schnitzel with croquettes and pepper sauce and have rarely been so impressed. Not only did the food arrive super quickly – it was also a generously sized portion. If you like to eat a really good schnitzel, you should definitely come here! Plus super friendly service and a quiet ambience. Only recommended!

If you like schnitzel, steak and beer, this is the right place for you - a rustic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Quaint restaurant that turns into a small disco on weekends. Large portions, great food, nice people, but not really accessible for wheelchair users, and not barrier-free inside either, which is certainly not possible in these beautiful old walls.

Waren gestern Abend hier , wunderschönes rustikales gemütliches Ambiente im Keller Der Kellner hatte gleich Feierabend ( 17,45 Uhr ) war aber trotzdem sehr nett. Hatten Nicht reserviert und trotzdem einen schönen Tisch bekommen. Er war erst 2 Std später res. Mein Diabolo Schnitzel war jetzt nicht das grösste , schmeckte aber hervorragend. Klasse Sosse. schön scharf. Ein Meerrettich Schnitzel gab es auch. das war schön gross. Kroketten und Pommes waren ausreichend. Hefeweizen und ein Radler dazu .Perfekt.

Since I've been to Freiburg a few times now and somehow always ended up in Tacheles!!! It's just my opinion!!! Location in the basement with the vaulted corners and niches simply mega and great… I always have a hard time and don't like giving bad reviews. Just finally work on your service and a little more on the quality of the dish... with great hope until next time...

Good location. Very bad service. The waiter was unmotivated. We left after 10 minutes without ordering. We were simply ignored. ☹️

Long waiting times even though there wasn't really much going on. Friendliness is also in short supply. Meat was already a shoe sole, the rest, well. I don't have to have it again. But maybe we were just unlucky that day.

Worst service ever. We waited 20 minutes for a waiter and when he came back we ordered food and he said the kitchen is now closed. He was so rude about it too. Never again.

Great shop with a wonderfully rustic flair, a large schnitzel selection menu and many different beers on tap. Combined with fast, friendly service, you are always in good hands here.

Service when it comes to drinks is 1a but the security treats you as if you were the last person alive.

Bah, boss unfriendly, schnitzel expensive and below average, impossible crowd for football and so-called (peasant) disco. Only people who really can't cook and just eat other crap eat it here, sorry. Don't do it!

The service was quickly overwhelmed that day when it came to taking the order. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm and apart from the schnitzel, I don't think anything was homemade. Due to a milk intolerance, a gravy was ordered instead of a cream sauce. Some time later we were informed that the gravy was out and that we were making it ourselves. Suddenly gravy came with the meal and it was definitely ready-made from the packet. It was then left behind and I won't give it to my son. Afterwards I found out or noticed that the spaetzle, which was also not homemade, was fried in butter and that was also served to my son! Although we pointed out his milk intolerance several times and that's why we ordered gravy instead of cream sauce. Unfortunately, it was anything but a culinary highlight and the many televisions, which cannot be switched off, were not exactly ideal with small children. We're definitely not coming back.

Beautiful and rustic cellar in downtown Freiburg. We spontaneously went to Tacheles to celebrate and were very happy with the selection of drinks, the prices and the music. The atmosphere was also very relaxed and the dance floor was pleasantly full. The highlight was definitely the fog machine. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the restaurant as we haven't eaten there yet. The employee at the cloakroom could be more attentive and friendly, as flirting and cell phones were probably more important that evening. Once inside we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. We'll definitely be back!

The basic schnitzels were good, but the one with Camembert cheese didn’t work as well and was a bit over the top. The potato salad wasn’t great either—it was just okay.

The food was an absolute failure, I ordered a Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle. With all my love, it wasn't spaetzle but some disgusting pasta with no taste. A chemist must have put together the sauce, absolutely disgusting, in the end hunger drove it in. Sorry guys, that was nothing and literally left a bad aftertaste after my visit to Freiburg. Every housewife cooks better...

Good shop, lots of space, friendly staff and good shots and drinks.

The restaurant was the perfect place to watch football! The atmosphere was great - big screens which made for a great live experience and the acoustics really brought the game to life. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food even exceeded expectations. The selection of drinks was great, and everything came quickly and fresh. Definitely a spot I will visit again for every subsequent game! Highly recommended!

Very quaint, nice restaurant. But I would always recommend reserving a table. We were lucky on Saturday and got a table where we spent 2 hours. Had time to enjoy our food.

New. Tacheles still exists with very good food and service. Next door there is the Grünwälder Cafe with new owners. Offer breakfast, cafe and cake. You can also eat there. The food comes from Tacheles. Very comfortably furnished cafe. Visited by many mothers and highly recommended. Changing types of cakes, some homemade cakes.

One of the worst shops here in Freiburg. I've never seen anyone so unmotivated. The colleague at the cloakroom waited for minutes until he served us; his cell phone was much more interesting to him. In general, the staff honestly seem focused on keeping customers at bay rather than making them have a nice evening.

What a quaint restaurant. We stopped by here spontaneously and immediately enjoyed very friendly service. The food was on the table quickly and the portions were absolutely sufficient. We then had a delicious meal with music. The cellar restaurant/bar is really cozy and not as small as you initially imagine when you come in for the first time. Absolutely recommended 😎👍🏻

We had reserved months in advance for 42 people as part of our fire brigade excursion. From the first contact by phone and email to the actual dinner, everything was very professional and perfect. All participants were absolutely thrilled by the ambience, the friendliness of the staff and the food. We can recommend Tacheles 100%. I usually never write reviews... But today the service was unfortunately unsatisfactory. Aside from the unfriendliness of the waiter, the wrong food was also brought to the table. Unfortunately, after 1.5 hours, the people next to us still didn't get any food and then left. Probably due to poor staffing. Maybe start here... Anyway, compliments to the kitchen 😊

Were here on Friday evening to watch the Bundesliga. A short, arrogant, dark-haired man who welcomes the guests unfortunately outshines the friendliness of the rest of the staff

The drinks were super tasty and a perfect size. The food also tasted great. However, we ordered the “Schnitzel Camembert” dish twice, one of which was breaded, the other unfortunately not. Unfortunately, the portions of the spaetzle were also different sizes. All in all, it was still super tasty and we would love to come back!

We stupidly reserved a table on Saturday evening, our mistake as it turned out. Since we're not interested in football at all, we politely asked if there was a room where there wasn't football going on or where we could at least have a conversation without shouting at each other. Unfortunately it doesn't exist, and unfortunately it wasn't possible to make it quieter either. Since we didn't want to yell at each other while we ate, we left. When we went out we received incomprehensible and angry looks from the waitress: "It's football today, it's on in every restaurant!" In any case, it wasn't working next door...

We were a little lost and the waiter recommended us. Since we were tourists, he told us that he would bring us a plate combined with different typical side dishes with the sauces he thought we would like the most, and he got it right. Happy children and adults

Unfortunately the food, both the soup and the sausage salad, was far too oily. That's why we couldn't finish our food. It also had a strange aftertaste. Even drinking (juice spritzer) didn't work on the first attempt because the juice had already fermented and was no longer good. We were actually really looking forward to the food, but unfortunately we definitely can't recommend the restaurant. The price is also not justified given the circumstances. The service was okay, but with longer waiting times.

Were there again last week after a long time. The food is simple, the service unfriendly. We were served burnt schnitzel and complained politely and understandingly. We were told that it had to be that way. A hair in my friend's beer was initially ignored. Another waitress replaced the beer 5 minutes later. After we paid and stayed seated for a while, we were quickly asked to leave because the space was needed, even though half the store was empty. Only the minimum is achieved from this great location. People here are just resting on the great pre-Covid times.

The schnitzel platters are excellent and the atmosphere in the vaulted cellar is very cozy. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I can highly recommend the restaurant.

The sherry cream sauce was very tasty and the fries and schnitzel were also excellent. We just didn't like the bacon sauce and the potato salad. The waitresses were all very nice and everything went really quickly. Value for money absolutely recommended

Schnitzels were very thin and dry. The sauces were based on a ready-made sauce, very salty and my mustard sauce did not taste like mustard. Fries and potato salad okay. The ordered radlers looked very much like a regular beer. Disinterested waiter who dropped a full glass behind my husband, only asked if it had gotten wet and came with 3 napkins. Glass was kicked/picked up in phases, when we left there was still glass.

Quaint restaurant with good food. Unfortunately the prices are very high. Pancakes with chanterelles for just under 20 euros are definitely too much. What's more, we wouldn't have been full without the extra salad we ordered. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed on a Saturday evening.

Quiet place to eat, the waiters are great and patient because until you look at the menu with the language issue it costs, they speak in English, they have a very good application in Spanish and other languages. The food is very rich in quantity, quality and price. To repeat recommended. It has a terrace outside, inside, and a fairly large dining room.

The craziest schnitzel shop in the world. Beer is super awesome, wines too and what feels like 195 schnitzel variants that taste super awesome and make student and adult hearts beat faster... Prices are reasonable, no extortion.

Very cozy and spacious place. Fast and pleasant service. The food is average, some sauce is tastier than others, it depends on taste. Something expensive.

Nice ambience, unfortunately in the basement and then with attentive service for 11 guests, reorders of drinks only after being spoken to personally with a significant delay and then a considerable waiting time until we were served... You save yourself the second visit there..... and no soap and no dry towels in the toilet.... Tourists are already disappointed afterwards, that's much better in this city
