Simply TOP: extremely moderate prices, very accommodating staff and a very cozy restaurant. There is absolutely NOTHING to complain about about the food. Even in busy times, the husband and wife are always friendly and the food is top quality! Thanks! We would love to come back. Update: We are now regular guests and we are always welcomed and treated like good friends!!! It's funny when my better half has the curve shoes on after 5 ouzo... 🤣😂🙃 Thank you for the great “moments of enjoyment” (at least for me in every respect 🤗 We've already left a good €2000 there and haven't regretted a cent of it!!!

The guest room is like a waiting room, which makes it very loud. But the food and service is good.

The staff is very nice, the atmosphere is typically Greek. Unfortunately, the food was not well seasoned and was obviously no longer completely fresh. Everyone had stomach pains after eating. We will not visit this restaurant again.

The ambience is very tasteful, the service is friendly and accommodating. However, she doesn't seem to really know her way around fish. The food is hardly seasoned and there was no taste of garlic in the tzatziki. I was looking forward to the traditional Greek cuisine (oil, spices, garlic, etc.), but unfortunately there was no trace of it.

The following assessment is partly objective, partly subjective of course: you are warmly and hospitably welcomed, instructed and served with an above-average level of attention and friendliness. Special requests are immediately responded to in a benevolent and unproblematic manner. Of course, this can vary slightly if the restaurant is full. But again, that's a good sign and you know that the products and goods MUST be bought fresh and rolled. Food is carefully served fresh and hot. When I coughed, a glass of water was immediately handed to me in an information chain among the waitresses and waiters. To make the children happy, they usually always get a little surprise in the form of a scoop of ice cream or small sweets. The toilets are average but good. The three bowling alleys are well equipped and there is a separate guest area that is not neglected by service. There is more than enough parking space. The huge beer garden is particularly recommended in spring and summer. The adjacent Mönchhofpark is idyllic and invites you to take relaxing walks. An excellent address and ideal for family celebrations and similar celebrations. At this point a big compliment and thank you to the staff! Καλή όρεξη.

Nice Greek restaurant with great staff and great ambience.

I ate here two nights in a row because my hotel was nearby. The food was very tasty, the service was friendly and very attentive. There was an ouzu at the welcome and farewell. I'll be happy to come back next time I'm in Gotha.

Unfortunately I have to say that the food wasn't to my taste. Garlic press, it looked like bruschetta and unfortunately tasted like it too, no trace of garlic. For my main course, the meat and rice were cold. (Note from my friends too). Cold rice and meat not my taste, you have to like it. Unfortunately, I also missed the typical Greek spice. MY TASTE NERVES found the food very bland. After the meal, no waitress came to maybe order dessert or get the bill. However, there were enough people there, it couldn't have been a lack of staff. But the positive thing was the ambience, a wonderful beer garden and the interior design was very stylish for me.

Only the eggplants were too oily. Everything else, especially the gyros and taramas, was very good.

Unfortunately we weren't that impressed with the food. The meat was very good, but the beans and rice were not to our taste at all. And the sauce is as thin as water. Service was so-so. We were disappointed.

Extraordinarily beautiful outdoor ambience! Quiet, beautifully laid out and the kitchen is top notch! The meat is super juicy and to the point! For a less pleasant occasion, we stayed overnight nearby in Gotha and after the first great evening we spent a second one there. We would come back at any time and would definitely recommend it! Rarely experienced such good Greek cuisine and very friendly staff. Thanks for the nice time!

Nice Greek restaurant with beautiful b/w photographs and murals. We passed by by chance. There is a very large area outside to sit down. We looked for a place indoors as the weather was a bit cool. The service is friendly and the food is tasty. We were there at coffee and cake time. The cake is placed in the entrance area on the left side when entering the building. We had Greek orange cake with ice cream and cream and flambéed figs, also with ice cream and cream. The figs were flambéed on site. A highlight for me because I've never seen anything like it... flambéing food at the table. 🤩 The restaurant offers warm food throughout and is open every day. There is a large board at the entrance with all the dishes. There are bike racks for cyclists. There are parking spaces both in the courtyard and in front of the building.

The last time I was at the symposium, the food was tasty. Unfortunately the food is no longer recommended. According to the boss, the cook is the same. Salad wasn't fresh, apparently it had been prepared for a long time. Food had no taste and wasn't presented in an appetizing way... as we all know, the eye doesn't eat with us...here. The staff was very friendly.

Positive: - Super friendly waitresses - No long waiting times for drinks and/or food to arrive - Well organized - Portion size appropriate - Prices okay - Especially nice to sit outside in summer, as there are plenty of shaded areas thanks to large trees Negative: - No water was offered for dogs - Unfortunately, the food was not seasoned at all and therefore tasted very neutral. It was missing salt, pepper, garlic and a few herbs. No matter how nice the people there are and how nice the place is, when you go out to eat, you want the food to be tasty. A little more love in the preparation and it would be perfect.

The atmosphere in the beer garden is really nice. You can relax and unwind in the shade under the trees. Unfortunately the food can't keep up. The salad is absolutely carelessly prepared with dried cucumber slices, among other things, so that even with dressing it doesn't make you want to eat it. Unfortunately, our main course wasn't much better. Tasteless, with a lot of fat and no seasoning. Next time we will probably skip the food and concentrate on cool drinks in the wonderful beer garden. What a shame! Because you used to be able to eat really well here. I would also like to mention positively that we were offered a voucher as “compensation”, which we politely declined. A voucher doesn't make the food any better...

Everything is right - great selection, great ambience, very nice service.

So for me personally the food here tastes very good and the service isn't bad either, it's very friendly and it's okay You can sit very comfortably both inside and outside, and you have a lot of seats outside, some of them are under trees and they have a large pavilion. All in all, it's very nice outside. Only inside, the seating furniture, the couch or bench, whatever, are already very worn out The top layer is missing But you can still sit on it very comfortably So it's okay for me

The Mönchspark used to be a really nice place for fishing, but since this Greek guy thinks he has to fill the entire park with his music, it's no longer fun to sit here in the evenings. The operator may also think about other guests in the park and either turn the music indoors or turn it down.

Overall, a pleasant visit - with some drawbacks when it came to food. Service and friendliness was very good. Unfortunately, the food itself left a lot to be desired. Far too few fries, no tzatziki with the gyros as standard, the meat quality was "okay" and in terms of quantity, it was below average compared to what you get at other Greeks.

So the taste is really great. We started with the pepperoni, which also had a nice heat. The gyros were also super tasty when gratinated. Just like the baked broccoli. The ice cream is also ok. Waiter was attentive. To start there was an ouzo, and the 80-year-old Metaxa is also recommended. We'd love to come back.

Wir waren schon mehrfach hier und immer wieder sehr zufrieden. Egal ob im Sommer im Biergarten oder so wie gestern im Restaurant. Hervorragende Bewirtung durch freundliche und zuvorkommendes Personal, leckere Speisen und wunderbare Gastfreundschaft. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, und auf Sonderwünsche wird stets eingegangen. Diesmal durften wir den leckeren griechischen Kuchen probieren. Danke Christo. We stopped for lunch on the journey from Frankfurt to Leipzig. It was already after 1:30 p.m. and the restaurant was still full. We were greeted warmly and the food arrived after a short time. Everything was delicious.

unfriendly staff, not always tasty food

Less is sometimes more. At first it was very full, or really overfull. The staff couldn't keep up. As well as? We waited three quarters of an hour for our drinks and over an hour for our food and then the wrong thing came. Maybe we should accept fewer reservations to make it a nice stay for everyone. We definitely won't go there on Saturdays again. We haven't had such problems on other days.

There is a star deduction for the ambience because unfortunately it was just too warm in the dining room! The food was extremely tasty and I can only recommend the warm chocolate cake, “palate sex” in my opinion! ☺️

Simple Greek cuisine, what everyone does, nothing special and the tzatziki is unfortunately just a ready-made product, that's how it tasted Unfortunately, there are always green beans and they are totally soft. the bifteki is always oversalted.. But the waiter was quick, you could understand him well and didn't wait for a tip...don't leave the table until there's something!!

It is a pleasant experience to dine there. The employees are all very friendly and always look after you without seeming intrusive. There is also ouzo or an espresso to greet you and say goodbye. As a starter I enjoyed the octopus salad, which I can only recommend to everyone, and the marathon platter was also excellent. Don't miss the Greek yogurt for dessert, a poem😋

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Gemütlich, gepflegt und leckeres Essen.

Hier wird man vom Chef noch persönlich empfangen. Gastfreundlichkeit und gutes Essen werden hier großgeschrieben. Die Portionen sind groß und die Bedienung immer freundlich. Kinder sind hier gern gesehene Gäste. Hier kann man bei angenehmen Ambiente schlemmen und entspannen. Man kommt hier als Gast und geht als Freund. Dieses griechische Restaurant kann ich nur empfehlen.

Schönes Ambiente, nette Bedienung, leckeres Essen

Ich weiß nicht recht, was das Symposium Palast ist, ein Griechiches Restaurant ganz sicher nicht! Da ändern auch die warmen Worte in der Speiserkarte und das Ambiente nichts. Das Essen ist in unseren Augen grauenhaft und erinnert nur gaaaanz entfernt an Griechenland, wo wir sehr gern und häufig sind. Nun aber mal konkret. Ich hatte die Sikoti-Pfanne. Das soll eine Rinderleber mit Weißweinsauce und Zwiebel mit Reis und Salat sein. Bekommen habe ich zwei Scheiben Leber, welche nicht vernünftig geputzt waren. Diese waren zudem in einer Sauce, in welcher ganz vereinzelt ein paar Zwiebelstücke geschwommen sind, ertränkt worden. Dazu gab es auf einem separaten Teller etwas Tomatenreis (Reis mit purem Ketchup) und einen Beilagensalat. Wenigstens besaß man den Anstand einen Löffel mitzuliefern, mit welchem man die Sauce essen konnte. Von Tomatenreis stand so nichts in der Karte. Er passte aber auch gar nicht zum Rest des Essens und war es auch nicht wert erwähnt zu werden. Der Salat war frisch und knackig, bestand aber zu einen großen Teil aus Eisbergsalat. Darüber gab es einen Klecks "Supermarktdressing". Der Hammer war aber das Essen meiner Frau. Sie hatte sich einen griechischen Salat mit Gyrosstreifen bestellt. Der griechische Salat war eine größere Portion meines Beilagensalates mit ein paar Fleischstreifen. Mit einem griechischen Salat hatte das wirklich nicht im Entferntesten etwas zu tun. Wenn man sich die Karte weiter anschaut, wird es auch nicht besser. Zu allen Grillgerichten gibt es durchweg grüne Bohnen als Beilage. Was soll das? Kann der Koch nichts anderes? In Griechenland ist mir das noch nie begegnet. Offensichtlich ist hier alles auf Gewinnmaximierung ausgelegt. Schade, dass der Gast dabei der Verlierer ist. Auch der Bedienung, welche unseren Unmut bemerkte, war die Situation sichtlich peinlich. Das nützt oder bessert aber auch nichts. Uns sieht man hier ganz sicher nicht wieder.

Das Essen war schmackhaft und ausreichend, das Personal sehr freundlich und der einzigste Punkt, was negativ war ist, dass es sehr eng war! Aber komme gerne wieder!

War nach sehr langer Zeit mal wieder hier essen und muss sagen, das Ambiente hat sich sehr verbessert und das Restaurant sieht wirklich sehr gut aus. Unser Keller war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speicherkarte ist sehr groß was das entscheiden etwas schwierig machte, nichtsdestotrotz habe ich mich dann für Bifteki entschieden. Ein schön angerichteter Teller wurde nach kurzer Zeit serviert, die Beilagen waren mir persönlich etwas zu wenig und was ich etwas bedauerte, war, daß es kein zaziki dazu gab, wie ich es von anderen Gaststätten gewohnt bin. Geschmacklich war es gut und ich werde bestimmt mal wieder kommen.

Heute zum ersten Mal hier gegessen. Es war alles perfekt. Gern wieder.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels hier..17uhr wurde geöffnet und wir waren die ersten Gäste..der bestellte Weißwein war zwar gut gekühlt aber ähnelte einer Schorle und war stark verwässert..Geschmack gleich null..das Essen wurde leider nicht besser..das Fleisch im "Pfännchen" war okay aber in der ungewürzten "Sahnesosse" leider ertränkt..die überbackenen Auberginen waren alles andere als schmackhaft..pures Öl und ungewürzt war es einfach nur Gemüse mit Käse überbacken..das absolut letzte was wir je gegessen haben..Service kennen wir auch anders..sorry leider nicht zu empfehlen..

Ich habe noch nie so verleumderisches Essen gegessen. Das Steak und bifteki waren sehr trocken. Dann sprechen Sie über den Service, der zu wünschen übrig lässt. Alle Kellner dort riechen nach Alkohol..Ein Freund von mir sagte mir, dass es dort perfekt sei, aber ich habe es ausprobiert und es war ganz anders als das, was er mir erzählt hatte
