The food and ambience were excellent. However, the waiting time between each course was too long. We ordered a platter for two which was very good. We were just surprised that there was an appetizer as we had ordered it separately. According to the menu, we understood that there would be a dessert with the platter, so we ordered an extra starter accordingly. Nevertheless, it tasted great.

Wrong order was taken for one meal, one meal was okay, the other was at best mediocre. Billing cheeky: it says 10% discount outside, but it wasn't deducted. Not recommendable! We won't be coming back

A beef fillet steak is offered on the menu. Over 30 euros okay if it's really good. Conclusion? A thin slice of meat, unrecognizable after being overloaded with a disgusting white sauce. After it was placed on the table, it became clear why the semi-nice waitress didn't ask what the fillet steak should be like. You can just throw a 0.5 cm slice into a pan and wait 😜. It's just a shame what is offered and billed as steak here. Honest? This restaurant only has a spatial ambience, the food and the staff are just the bottom drawer. Conclusion? It's a shame for every euro I paid there 😢 Even the pizza seemed thawed. But okay, it's just a pizza. It's a shame about 61 euros for 🤮

I have to start with the positive. My wife and I have been to this restaurant twice so far. The food was always good and can compete with the numerous local competitors, but here's the thing: As a guest (on the last visit) you don't have to worry about friends or family members of the owners (they were in the restaurant at both times and that Behavior shows this...) to be insulted. This is intolerable and unacceptable for us as peace-loving guests. We decided against a confrontation in the bar and simply tried not to react at all. We were disappointed that the nice service and staff didn't put a stop to it. It's a shame, because the small restaurant definitely has potential.

Already been there twice at a late hour. The outside seating is right on the main market. As a solo traveler, I was twice assigned the smallest table in an unattractive place, such as directly in front of the loudspeaker box, even though half of the seating was free. Insisting with the rather unfriendly boss was successful. But annoying. I had a somewhat sweet tasting lasagne and a good house wine. When it comes to service, you generally miss a certain Italian warmth. If the location wasn't so good, I would have avoided the restaurant the second time. Maybe the problem is that you feel safe on the main market.

Unfortunately you have to give one star, but believe me, even that is grossly exaggerated. Very nicely located on the main square below Friedenstein Castle. As far as the positive... The waitress brought the menu listlessly. My order was very simple. A tomato salad and a portion of spaghetti carbonara. Supposedly “original” with Pecorino and no cream. As it should be.... What was served was a tomato and a half, fresh from the fridge, clumsily chopped up instead of sensibly served with three onion rings and a sprig of parsley. Plus 2 slices of baguette, which had been out of the toaster for a long time. Vinegar and oil as well as pepper and salt were only offered upon request. The main course, the carbonara, was completely inedible. The sauce was completely watery, the spaghetti was overcooked, everything was used as cheese except guaranteed no Pecorino, no trace of black pepper, no Guincale, just the cheapest cubes of ham from the bulk consumer pack and the obligatory large sprig of parsley. No other cheese was served with the pasta. It should be noted: - Service is lackluster to simply bad - the chef completely clueless - the ingredients are terrible. I quit after three forks. Life is too short for shit like that. The waitress asked obligatory whether it tasted good, my counter question was whether it looked like that? She would let us know in the kitchen and that would be it. Note to the chef... For one portion of carbonara you need 4-5 egg yolks, around 50 to 60 grams of Pecorino Romano and around 1 to 1.5 espresso cups of pasta water. Add 50-70 grams of Guincale and plenty of freshly ground black pepper. The dish is served a la minute and is accompanied by additional freshly grated cheese and a pepper mill with black pepper. Not like them, 1 egg and a bit of leftover cheese and a quarter liter of hot water. If you need further instructions on preparation, please feel free to write to me.

“When the cat is out of the house, the mice dance on the table.” We can't say anything about the quality of the food because it didn't even come to that. We waited over 1 hour for our order. Afterwards we took the liberty of asking about it. We were then looked at askance and received a very unfriendly and rude answer from the “temporary boss” that we should be patient and that we would have to wait a while. He has no idea what gastronomy and hospitality means. The only hospitality of his was to serve and entertain his friends. The only positive thing and worth highlighting was the female service. She was very friendly and tried to save what could perhaps still be saved. We then went to Ristorante Diavolo, which was the complete opposite.

Food is SUPER FAST, best team SUPER NICE

The food was perfect from start to finish. The bruschetta, the pizza, everything was very good. The service was really nice and we would love to come back!

Die Osteria Bella Ciao kann man nur empfehlen, sehr gutes Essen und freundlicher Service.

Pizza war ok Salat ohne Dressing Service ausbaufähig.

Leckeres Essen (Pizza und Tageskarte) zu moderaten Preisen, schneller und freundlicher Service, vielen Dank! Die Filme über die Essenszubereitung auf den Flachbildschirmen machen Apettit auf mehr, sind allerdings vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache.

Die Pizza hat gut geschmeckt, allerdings war das Ambiente und der Service noch sehr ausbaufähig.

Ein sehr schönes kleines und romantisches Restaurant. Hier wird noch mit Herz und Liebe gekocht und bedient. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Gemütliches kleines italienische Restaurant in Gothas Innenstadt. Sitzmöglichkeiten auch im Außenbereich vorhanden. Das Essen ist lecker und Extra-Wünsche werden gerne erfüllt. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier auch. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und sehr kinderlieb. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Grazie 🙏🏼

Fleisch mit Salatbeilage ohne Sättigungsbeilage 13,80? Pommes musste man extra bestellen. Und dann ist der Salat schlecht gewaschen und nicht angemacht? Nach Aussage des mäßig freundlichen Service-Manns sei das aber typisch? Weil der Rest in Ordnung war, 2 Sterne.

Leider war es im Lokal kalt und ungemütlich durch das offene Fenster.

Wow also was sollen wir sagen. Wir sind immer noch total hin und weg. Wir haben uns von Erfurt aus, auf dem Weg nach Gotha gemacht und da kamen wir auf dieses tolle Italienische Restaurant. Ich sag es mal so.. Erfurt z.B Pavarotti &&& können sich eine Riesen Scheibe abschneiden! Das Essen war einfach hervorragend. Frisch.. Heiß und ganz italienisch!! Wir hatten eine Pizza mit Meeresfrüchten und der Belag war bis zur letzten Kante belegt. Die Nudel waren einfach Spitzenklasse. Das Personal war super Freundlich und erzählte uns auch weshalb es hier so lecker schmeckt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Wenn ein guter Italiener dann definitiv hier !!

Die Pizza war erstklassig! So muss Pizza schmecken. Schön dünner Boden und lecker belegt. Der Service war super und die Stimmung toll. Minuspunkt: Auf den Toiletten gaben es keine Seife und Papier. Absolutes No Go!

Bella Ciao, una pizzeria situata nella piazza di Gotha. La pizza era buona peccato solo per l’impasto leggermente biscottato se lo fosse stato meno sicuramente avrei dato le 5 stelle. Comunque ragazzi siamo in Germania quindi comunque complimenti.

Diese Osteria hat uns gerettet vor dem kalten Wind und gefrorenen Fingern. Nach dem Besuch des Schlosses Friedrichshain mussten wir uns stärken. Wir suchten uns Selbstgemachte Nudeln mit Cavier aus. Ich sage euch es war ein Festival für die Sinne.

Essen , Getränke so wie Frau und Mann es mochte. Schnell, Bedienung zuvorkommend! Preis angemessen. Gern wieder !
