Quite a horror experience in the “happy hour” hours. Waiters who insult you, 1-2 hours waiting time for your order and inedible, stuck-together sushi. Luckily it will be over soon. L'Osteria, I'm happy! ❤️🥳

I was very disappointed with this restaurant and I don't understand why it has 4.2 stars. The service was unfriendly and the advice left a lot to be desired. I didn't like the sushi at all - the quality was far below average in my opinion. In addition, the prices are completely excessive for what is on offer here. Absolutely no recommendation, I definitely won't be coming back. The ambience was also bad: the room was far too narrow, loud and reminded more of a market than a restaurant.

I really don't understand what everyone likes about this restaurant. It's a shame it has to close. The atmosphere is cool and if you like the alcoholic selection, okay, definitely yes, but the sushi?! Seriously ?! Get better at the fast food joint around the corner... Maybe the drop in quality is due to FOMO visitors who think they're missing out here. If the restaurant were to open somewhere else, I would be curious to see whether the quality would be better.

I recently visited a cozy sushi restaurant that offers a great vibe. While the sushi isn't the absolute best I've had, it's certainly tasty and fresh. Pairing it with a glass of Merlot (we took Martin Pasler's "Asai" ) creates a delightful contrast. The staff made the experience enjoyable with their warm service, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, it's a solid choice for fresh sushi in a welcoming atmosphere.

Suddenly happy our moved from 7.30 p.m. to 7 p.m., sucked twice on the paper straw and was completely clogged, the main thing was ecologically correct ✓ catastrophe🧨, needed 7 paper straws for a drink, with the announcement from the manager to just go somewhere else...not ecologically & guest-wise the place is more justifiable🤢🤮✅

The food was super nice and the Service was even nice, they always made sure we are fine without beeing annoying. In the end they offered us some smalltalk cocktails on the house.

I have been many times in Sushi and Soul. They have quite good sushi, I always order the Lachs inside out rolls. my favourite starters are a salad with tuna and a mixed starter for 2. Although it has become more expensive in the last year but I still enjoy the food and atmosphere here very much. Service is mostly really good and attentive.

Where is the soul? After almost everything that could go wrong went wrong due to a lack of staff, we asked the boss to come to our table. But he didn't come and just let the overwhelmed staff ask us what we wanted. When he said goodbye he said “see you tomorrow”…so if you want to experience really bad hospitality for a lot of money, go to soulless Sushi…

A great evening, great atmosphere with great food

We booked a sushi cooking course through Jochen Schweitzer. When we were only able to come as a couple, the landlord refused to hand out another voucher, even though he had promised this when we canceled a month earlier. Even after asking Jochen Schweitzer, we were assured that Sushi&Soul would be responsible for the refund. All emails and contact attempts were no longer responded to. A refund has not yet taken place. In addition, the entire sushi cooking course was unorganized and of a very low level, which in no way justifies a price of over 100 euros. Furthermore, when we showed up for the sushi cooking class on Sunday morning, there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the restaurant

Sushi was mediocre at best. Every roll tasted the same and was mostly filled with cucumber. Too many sesame seeds on the rolls, felt like I was eating sand. The waiter messed up 6 orders and one didn't even show until everyone else had finished their meal. Paying separate bills was a nightmare, they didn't know how to split the bill. Would not recommend or visit again.

I always enjoy coming back ~ such friendly service despite the lack of staff. Admirable.

Atmosphere and how everything looks is super nice, therefore I didn’t expect to get sushi from penny there… they are literally from Penny or the same quality and taste :D tuna was also a weird color, I didn’t get a food poisoning, but it was quite unpleasant to try. service was good though!

We waited a long time for wine and a glass when, after asking 3 times for it to be brought, it was brought half an hour after we ordered it. There were 3 waiters at the bar who did almost nothing while we were in the establishment

Wanted to drink some wine. Have ordered. Had to ask twice where my wine was. Waited a total of 30 minutes. My friend also waited 30 minutes for his coke. Even though there are 3 people behind the bar.

Did a sushi course here. Very friendly host and staff. You also make enough for a nice dinner at home. Everything clean and fresh.

The atmosphere is atmospheric, the food was very good and the service was incredibly friendly. Our dog was also provided with water! We'd love to come back! Absolutely recommended!

I've known the restaurant since it opened and I'm still thrilled. The food was excellent, of a quality and at a price that you have to look for a long time in Düsseldorf, if you can find it at all after the Kikaku closes. I ate an excellent Tempura Moriawase and a soushi platter “Sushi&Soul”. The restaurant was full but the service was attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice, overall a nice evening.

We got a set sushi menu for 2 people. The sushi I was okay, but not the best I had. As dessert we got fried mochi's and I don't recommend them at all. The service was really friendly and atmosphere was nice. Between 18 and 19 they have a happy hour for bento boxes, you can get them for half the normal price.

Sushi & Soul has been an institution in Munich for years. In addition to the really good sushi variations, the cocktails, some of which are self-created, and the exquisite Japanese spirits are particularly worth mentioning. Sushi & Soul has a selection of Japanese whiskeys that is second to none. Relevant training courses such as rum tastings and whiskey samples are also offered upon request 👍

Hello! ****For sushi course!!! It makes me sad to write my comment. But somehow I will help other people. My partner and I went to the sushi course and unfortunately it was very disappointing as the price of the course isn't exactly cheap. We didn't like the quality, quantity and cleanliness of the place.🚬🧼😔 For food they gave us half a cucumber, a handful of sesame seeds, half an avocado, about 150g of salmon, 100g of industrial crab sticks and 500g. Rice.🥱 Of course huasabi, soy sauce and ginger, but poor quality. That was £238 for two people. With that I'm going to the best Japanese restaurant in Munich.😏 The class was very simple, almost an hour just to explain that white and rosé wine is drunk with sushi... What???🙄 I love eating healthy and this day was a disappointment to my wallet and my stomach.🧂🤕 Greetings Taty

It used to be our favorite meeting place when it came to delicious Japanese cocktails and a dessert platter that made your eyes overflow with joy just at the sight of the matcha mousse! The service is super friendly and competent. The price is now more than expensive, it's a shame, that's why I don't go there anymore.

The food is delicious and the dishes are explained very friendly and well. However, waiting times for drinks, bills, etc. were very, very long every time we were there, so there was a small deduction.

We recently dined at Sushi+Soul, and it was an exceptional experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, each bite bursting with flavor. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff was attentive and friendly. From the creative rolls to the delightful atmosphere, Sushi+Soul has truly captured the essence of a a good sushi dining experience. Highly recommended!

The waitress there wasn‘t friendly at all … We couldnt eat the algue in the sushi , they were like plastic .. and we left everything… we ordered one extra sauce and the waitress brought two different and we told her that we dont want it.. but she put that on the billing yy

Unfortunately, the food became so poor that we lost our enjoyment of eating. Ordered yesterday with friends for €82. Imo Age 5 desiccated dried pieces. Tokyo Sushi Poor fish quality, dry rice, falling apart. It's a shame we loved being there so much.

Really great!! I was there last night on a Friday evening and the store was busy. That's why I would like to praise our great waiter Sezgin, who provided very attentive and friendly service despite his busy area. The sushi was very tasty and on the table quickly. Once again, big praise and thank you for a unique service that is rarely seen these days.

Service, very slow both for taking the order and bringing the order. And the restaurant was not even half full. I had a mixed tempura and it was okayish. Tasted good, but at times hard to eat as all the veggies where a unique huge block glued together. Sushi was super dry and hard to eat. Dessert was tasting super good but complicated to eat without a knife. Not really recommended for the piece they charge.

Great place! Sushi is delicious and very fresh tasting. Love the sauces which are not overwhelming and the fish taste always stands out. You can see yourself how they prepare it and it is so satisfying. The staff seems to be in such harmony and quite happy. The cocktails drinks are incredibly good and quite strong if I may say. Plenty of sitting options.

A really nice evening at the whiskey seminar with 10 participants! There was an appetizer and a sushi platter. There are also nine whiskeys to try, six of them from Japan with lots of information and a very nice and whiskey-loving host. Everything was very uncomplicated, pleasant and very generous. Absolute recommendation! The seminar was definitely worth the price!

Really did not enjoy the sushi nor the location

One of my regular places, since 2002. Wide selection of sushi varieties and Japanese whiskeys. Special cocktails with Japanese drinks are so good. I love Nikka Mangalore, with Nikka and Indian chili cinnamon liqueur. Bento boxes are available as well with algea salad, teriyaki chicken, shrimps and select sushi, half price between 6pm and 7pm are worth definitely to try.

Absolutely disappointing, boring sushi. The sushi was presented in an uninspired manner, all rolls are identically garnished with white sesame seeds. The taste was ok but nothing special. The special rainbow role in particular was very bland. The tables are very close so that the backs of the chairs collide with the neighbors. Our table also wobbled. For the high price standards at Sushi & Soul, the restaurant is definitely not recommended.

The table service was slow, I think they may have been short of staff. Our server was very friendly and apologetic. Try their smoked gin, it has a kick. Next time I'll have a mixer with it. We then opted for a bottle of Saki, which didn't disappoint. Great Sushi, the menu is extensive with something for everyone.

The dishes are full of truly original and complete flavors, everything was in its place, cocktails... no comments. From the choice of songs, the atmosphere and the vibe in general, everything was top notch! The price for a complete experience and for what is offered, it's totally fine!

Personally, I found the volume unpleasant. The waiter didn't dare come to our table at first, drinks were only available after about 25 minutes. The sushi was delicious.

Food was horrible, some of the worst sushi rice I’ve had. Some uncooked, some so overcooked it felt like a mush of glue. Insanely bad quality for the price (although we ate after 22:00 at happy hour)

The cocktails are good, the sushi unfortunately disappointing...

We just stopped by for a drink. Unfortunately, the “sparkling umeshu” didn’t live up to its name as the taste of the umeshu was basically completely missing. The Nigori Sake was originally part of a tasting menu. The individual price requested at around €6 was significantly higher than our expectations at €26 in the final invoice. There was no excuse for this mistake.

Knowing Sushi & Soul for more than 20 years I must admit, that it is still nice to go there and enjoy some basic raw fish dishes, but it frustrating to see, that Unagi is not served warm anymore or that Ikura Nigri has less and less eggs but more rice under it. I don't know, something is 🐟 here... And the value for money is drifting more and more towards the money side, an unfortunate development.

With all love. Charging €6.80 for a bottle of water borders on greed for profit! Do you go to adelholz for the water, fill the bottles yourself and bring them to the restaurant on the footpath or why is the water so expensive?

Some makis did not correspond to the description in the menu. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. The tables are very close so that the backs of the chairs collide with the neighbors. Our table wobbled badly. No one from service helped when I tried to fix it.

A really nice tent. The sushi is tasty, but the pieces are a bit too big. The cocktails are great and the service is very good. We ordered several cocktails at the bar during happy hour (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) and in the end we even got a cocktail on the house. We could also easily order snacks and the bartenders helped us very well. They are even open to making up a drink for you! So they are also very experienced. Too bad we don't live in Munich, otherwise we would come very often!

+45€ for a Bento Box is unbelievable (buying it on Bento time is half price, but still, for what it contains)

Walked by and went in. Nice ambience with a dedicated tatami corner with a little fireplace, friendly staff, but the drinks and food were hit and miss. Amazing dobin mushi soup but the bento was quite hard to get through in terms of taste. We were at bento hour between 6-7pm and each bento was 17-21 euros. Some items average, some too sweet, some too salty, some just bland, and out of three sushis one had fish that didn’t taste fresh. Cocktails were also cocktail hour and were very well priced at 6.5 euros. They have a bar that looks super well stocked with great variety so the drinks options are very extensive. We ordered the same cocktail twice; the second time because the first was so nice, but the second was so far off from the first it didn’t taste like the same drink.

Sushi+Soul ist schon seit Jahren ein Klassiker: Tolle Sushis, sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, gute Cocktails, effizienter Service.

Gibt es schon Jahrzehnten, kann man mal hingehen! Sehr super nette Angestellte außer einem Kellner, der wegen jeder Kleinigkeit sich äußert aber vielleicht hat er einen schlechten Tag gehabt?

Sehr leckere Drinks, das Essen absolut zu empfehlen, ein Besuch zur Happy Hour ist natürlich nochmal günstiger. Ich hatte eine Bento Box, das war alles richtig klasse! Absoluter Daumen hoch!

I am a regular customer at the best sushi restaurant in Europe. Reasons are, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent food and outstanding explicit selection of Japanese whisky bottles. Second largest in the world! The atmosphere is inviting and you do spend hours at this venue. Prices are good, extremely good related to the rarity of Japanese whisky. I been travelling the globe on regular basis for the last 36 years and this is a place I visit every time I come to Munich. Highly recommended and I will be back next year.

Went there for a sushi course and it was absolutely amazing! They tell us everything we have to know from picking the ingredients, preparing the rice, how to do roll, maki, nigiri sushi also which wine is fit with sushi and why and of course we got to try the wine too (which is amazing) and in the end I got 2 and a half boxes of sushi that I made myself 🌟in the end of the course they also sell bottles of wine, rum, chopsticks, even Japanese knife also dvd about how to make sushi 🌟and you know the sushi is authentic when a Japanese sushi chef is leading the course 😉 totally worth the price 🌟 I just don't get it why the other reviewers doesn't make much sushi lol since I was in a table of 6 and all of us back home with 2 - 3 boxes each of our handmade Sushi

55€ for a menu for 2 people for little bit of sushis, we are still hungry and the food was definitely not worth the price. Really overpriced for average sushis. Maybe arriving at 22:00 on a Friday was not the best timing. Maybe the others means here are better. The service was nice.

Der Sushi Kurs war recht groß aber mit einer lockeren umorvollen Atmosphäre. Es hat uns viel Spaß gemacht und wir sind mit viel Sushi und leicht alkoholisiert wieder gegangen.

Ein so toller Sushi Kurs. Nur zu empfehlen.

Essen: Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Sushi wurde frisch zubereitet. Service: Kamen relativ spät an. Die Sushi Bar hätte wohl in 5 min zu gemacht. Extra für uns wurde so kurz vor deren Feierabend nochmal etwas zubereitet. Leider hat man eine Stunde vor Ladenschluss keinen Kaffee mehr bekommen. Schade eigentlich. Ambiente: Offenes, großes Restaurant, was sich sehr an den Stil der Chinesen hält. Sehr schön dort. Preis: Ich komme nicht aus München. Deshalb finde ich die Preise, verglichen woher ich komme hoch. Kann aber auch sein, dass es für München komplett normale Preise sind.

Viel zur teuer für mittlere Qualität und unhöflichen Service. Als ich mich nett beschwert weil Qualität und Portion (Hälfte vom Teller waren nur Zwiebeln) habe, hieß es "Können wir dir was Gutes tun?". Am Ende habe ich erfahren, dass ich das noch zahlen muss. Für 20€ erwarte ich mehr als paar Stückchen Fleisch und halbes Kilo Zwiebeln. Teurer Laden der aber ein Service und Kommunikation wie beim Dönerladen hat. Ich war früher öfters hier aber werde nicht noch Mal hingegen. Kann ich leider keinem empfehlen. Unser ganzer Tisch blieb unzufrieden.
