Sushi Xeng by Geisha in München

The food and service were really exceptionally good. We ordered more twice during the evening, not because there wasn't enough, but because it tasted so good. I will definitely plan dinner there for my next stay in Munich.

The sweet and sour sauce is brutal, the mojito was well mixed and is recommended

Smoke was only there for a maximum of 1 minute and very unfriendly restaurant. Different prices online and then want more money at the checkout than what we actually ate.

A MOUSE passed by next to us and we asked the waiter about it, but we still didn't get an exact answer. There was a banana tasting consistency on the inside out rolls which ruined the whole taste.👎👎 PS if you could give zero stars we would.

Great, the restaurant is located on a quiet side street away from the hustle and bustle, but very easily accessible. The food was 10/10 (bowl, curry, edamame & shushi, as well as the drinks. Absolutely nothing to complain about. The service was super fast and friendly. So for the price, really extremely good!!

It was very tasty and the service was great, but some of the dishes were just too expensive. Ambience is cute but small. Dishes are beautifully prepared.

Such a nice place with really nice and friendly staff. We enjoyed it very much. We had a miso soup which was great. Sushi was also good! Overall I would say a good experience 🙏🏻

Super tasty sushi, beautifully served in a quiet courtyard

A bit disappointing service. Everything took a very, very long time and without even saying anything (clearing the table, placing further orders) no one came to us. There is no bottled water (only 0.4l by glass), gin was out, and wine was only available by the glass. Unfortunately there was no dessert that evening. With a little love and attention the store could really be turned into a hotspot.

I ordered Tom Yam soup - it doesn't even remotely resemble this soup. The portion has become kid friendly, even the child won't have enough even though this is the standard portion for an adult. Sushi was absolutely tasteless. Although everything was beautifully decorated and served.

Very, very tasty food! The price-quality ratio is excellent. Quite low prices for rolls in Munich, very interesting and beautiful presentation. But the service leaves much to be desired. The staff speaks poor German/English and you shouldn't expect good service here.

We stopped at this restaurant by chance. It was a Sunday night and there were plenty of tables available. We ordered sushi, a tuna bowl and strawberry lemonades. The lemonade is delicious! It tastes very natural, so I highly recommend it. The presentation of the dishes is very nice and the taste does not disappoint. Everything was very tasty and the flavours were well balanced. I would definitely come back.

Excellent food lovely prep. and presentation.

I really have nothing to complain about with this restaurant. The sushi is excellent. Really. Especially the Dragon Roll (although I haven't tried them all yet). Another advantage is that they definitely don't skimp on high-quality, fresh fish. The gyoza is also really good and definitely homemade. Even my sister, who hates Asian food, ate them😁. Definitely much better than any other gyoza I've ever eaten. The food is always served as shown in the attached picture. However, it's not just the food that's good: the staff is noticeably attentive and extremely nice. The ambience is also really nice: secluded from the hustle and bustle of Munich city center in a beautiful, quiet courtyard. This restaurant definitely deserves at least 4.8-4.9 stars in the overall rating.

Very nice, very tasty, attentive service

No German beer.. a side from that the mountain of sushi we got was presented amazingly. However it did lack a bit in flavour and we had to request no cream cheese as this appeared on the majority of the sushi.. can see why it is busy and I can't fault the staff who were diligent and preferred to be paid in cash.

The sushi is a 10/10, also very well prepared. The service was good. Personally, the illuminated signs bothered me a little, but that's a matter of taste ✌🏻

Wonderful restaurant. The food was extremely good and it was an absolute stroke of luck that we found this restaurant.

We were deceived by the good reviews and visited the restaurant full of anticipation. The hygienic conditions of this restaurant leave something to be desired. The wisdom that the cleanliness of the toilet indicates the rest of the restaurant has been confirmed. During dinner, an employee cut his fingernails at the fish counter. Either way, we're talking about raw fish here and we pointed it out directly to the employee, who wasn't really interested in the problem. The authorities have been informed.

Unfortunately very disappointed. Visually very fine! But for the prices you could really have expected more. In Munich you can get much better Asian food for the money. The music was inappropriate and loud. The deep-fried starter had the frying fat on the serving plate. At least the food was presented nicely; But inconvenient, the sauces were on the side and barely on the roll itself.

Very good sushi prepared with a lot of love 🍣, well presented! Homemade lemonade which is also highly recommended. Strawberry/coconut soda. Last but not least, a great dessert 🍡.

Really delicious food. I'm happy to spend more money on delicious food, but some dishes are still very expensive. The view of the food is still really beautiful and each dish is prepared individually. Ambiance Really nice, just small. There should be no more than four people. Or sit outside with more. Paid €60 for two people.

We were lucky and there wasn't much going on. Since the restaurant doesn't have a lot of tables, we got one right away. Super friendly staff and very, very tasty sushi!

We ate here for the first time today and it was also the first time we ever ate sushi. We were recommended a mixed platter for several people, which is what we ordered. We were all very excited. Well prepared and super tasty food. From the starter to the dessert, everything was just right.

Was there on Saturday around 5 p.m. The three employees preferred to chat loudly with each other instead of taking care of the 4 tables with their guests. As a single person, I sat the whole time next to a table with dirty dishes that were already there when I arrived. I then had to steal my chopsticks from the next table because the service didn't notice that my table wasn't set. The food (summer rolls & salmon royal) was very tasty. The strawberry mint lemonade was too sweet and too much ice for my taste.

Courteous staff and both the sushi and drinks were very tasty.

I also enjoyed the unique sushi that you don't find in Japan. It was great that there were so many customers and it was so lively.

The food (duck curry) was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet in the inner courtyard, away from the hustle and bustle of Munich's city center. Unfortunately that's it for the positive comments... The portion is unfortunately very small, you won't get full, about half a duck breast with a few vegetables and about two heaped tablespoons of rice, that's it... no knife is served, just a fork and spoon, the slices of meat were anything but pre-cut into bite-sized pieces. The toilet is small and unkempt, the faucet only hangs on the water pipe. The staff tried hard and were friendly, but it was difficult to have a conversation. Use whispers quietly or you won't be understood. No local beer, no shandy on the menu, just a 0.33 Thai beer. Sure, it's not a Munich pub, but every Asian restaurant I've been to has offered a beer. Just like a knife and fork with a meat dish. Conclusion: If you are not very hungry you can eat well and relax here. The dishes at the neighboring tables were beautifully garnished. I still wasn't satisfied. A pity.

The 3 guys behind the counter were nice, funny and seemed to have fun at work. The ambience and music matched our mood for the day, but it's certainly not always like that. Food was great!

In warmer temperatures you can sit outside. Since you are in a courtyard, it is relatively quiet outside. We really enjoyed the sushi.

Warm food tasted good (chicken with curry) - I wanted some exotic vegetables - bamboo etc. not just carrots and zucchini) Sushi was very tasty.

Didn’t order. But the moment I walked inside the restaurant, I felt unwelcome. I have the same nationality with the workers, so I could understand what they talked to each other. I specifically asked them if we can still come in at the time(20:50) and they answered yes. I didn’t even sit down and they already shouted to each other that I can only stay for 30 minutes, while their closing time is at 22:00. Didn’t have the chance to try the food, probably wouldn’t come back.

the staff was very friendly and polite, and it was probably the last time I ate such delicious sushi for a long time; my friend and I went and were very pleased!! (they prepared very tasty cocktail for us as a bonus, we plan to visit this place again). They also gave us a very nice discount, it was unexpected and pleasant, thank you very much to this staff that evening and happy Easter to everyone!

We ordered sushi with shrimp, they were almost invisible... I also found a small bone in the sushi, this has never happened before... the wait was relatively long, although the restaurant was almost empty. But at least the design is beautiful, with dry ice steam. The result: the most ordinary sushi, but expensive

Everything is delicious, but I don't really want to see anything like that at that price.

Their sushi is so good and it used to be quite affordable too. However they unfortunately neglected to update their menu after a price increase, please fix this to prevent frustration in the future.

Friday evening in Munich - The two of us are looking for a place to have dinner. A sign leads us into a backyard. Sushi Xeng.... Hmm... quick check on Google: reviews are very good and at least they are still open. Let's go! When we arrived we were greeted and asked if we had reserved. We actually didn't have that, but we were still offered a place. Shortly afterwards the menus arrived. The teas on the first page look very tempting and are also recommended (especially to warm up). For both of us, we decided what to eat for a bowl (1x with avocado and 1x with chicken). And of course it was tasty. The ambience is also really surprisingly good. The employees have fun and occasionally dance to the music (which was well chosen) and the small restaurant with the different light sources, furniture, etc. simply has its own charm. All in all, I can recommend this restaurant to everyone (especially if you like Japanese food).
