I've been a regular for years—even at the previous location. The fish is always fresh, and the avocados are aromatic, ripe, and creamy.

Our lunchtime visit to Sushi Sano left a rather mixed impression. Although the restaurant was barely full, the staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed. There were even loud arguments within the team, which significantly dampened the atmosphere. My dish, chicken rice, was solid, but by no means convincing. It was essentially just rice, chicken, and cucumber. That's it. For the price, I definitely expected more. My companion, who ordered sushi, wasn't impressed either: The sushi was edible, but by no means special or noteworthy. Overall, our visit was okay, but definitely not an experience we'd want to repeat. Anyone looking for special sushi or a cohesive lunch menu will probably be disappointed here.

Cute place with a nice menu. Got a couple of appetizers and rolls. Price was great, food was average and good for the price. A lot of other places charge way more for their special rolls. Service was great and best we have had in awhile!

We were looking for a sushi restaurant and almost walked past it – unfortunately, it's hard to see among other shops. Very inconspicuous, I'd say. The staff are very attentive and the service was friendly. We enjoyed the food. The ambiance, however, seems rather cold and could be a bit more cozy.

Super delicious and fresh sushi. The food is simply world-class. The service is very nice and friendly. You can't make reservations, but the wait times aren't long. The restaurant is small and cozy, as they say. The prices are okay, I'd say, or could perhaps be a bit lower. Despite everything, it was a great meal and a very good restaurant. It certainly won't be the last time I eat here. The kimchi was unfortunately too salty, but I can definitely recommend the crispy shrimp.

The sushi is fresh and tasty. The prices are still reasonable. The service is fast and always friendly. However, with the previous staff, the quality of the sushi was even higher.

For me, the ambiance is also important; you should feel comfortable as a guest. This has nothing to do with a sushi restaurant; I felt like I was in a cheap college cafeteria. The staff is friendly. The sushi didn't blow me away, but there's always room for improvement.

Best sushi in town. Been going there for 10 years. Previously left a negative review because the guys never think about updating their working hours 🙈 ended up in front of a closed door with a paper "we are on holiday" more than once.

I love the Sushi Sano. I lived around the corner over 20 years ago and was a regular at the sushi box shop (back then in the old premises, 100 meters away). After a long time I was there again and enjoyed lunch. The concept (nigiri, for example, a little smaller, but cheap and with an incentive to try more) is still the same and so is the quality. I'm trying to come back more often, be it to take sushi boxes with me.

Small but nice sushi restaurant! The food was great, fully deserved 5 stars. You can also choose between warm dishes/soups. The only drawback is that it's quite cramped and the atmosphere is minimalistic, but after all, you go there to eat. Very attentive, friendly staff, we felt very comfortable.

This Japanese restaurant in the city center of Munich has definitely (and immediately) became our fave sushi place, hands down. It has a very good selection of sushi that you won’t normally see in other “sushi restaurants”. The ambiance is chill and chic, simple and straightforward. They also have Agedashi tofu, eel rice bowl… yummy

Atmosphere is right! However, Udon is nothing remarkable. Try their sushi.

I don't know how to describe this. The food only looked good from the outside, but inside, there was almost no fish, and the tuna tasted like #can tuna. I can't explain why the rate of this place is high. Is it because the people here have low standards, or they are simply fake review or maybe both. They made a good concept of Japanese restoration, but it's not Japanese at all or even asian.

They manage to attract people by representing "Japanese style of interior and concept," but their food was an Absolute crap. I could see even from their face that they feel humiliated by what they are serving to customers. And I paid more than 30 euros for the sushi, which have no fish in it? Please, I was expecting better than this from the Japanese restaurant as an asian. Even the mart sushi is better than this and u know it.

Delicious food. Short waiting time after ordering. No seat reservation possible. You can always find something there even if you don't like raw fish. Totally humane prices. We'll be back.

Truly amazing sushi. Very good value for the price. Instead of offering preassembled plates, you can only order individual pieces for very moderate prices. In the end it is not more expensive than full plates but you can choose exactly what and how much you want. Last time I checked, you cannot reserve a spot, so you might have to wait a few minutes until you get a spot. But given that they want to avoid empty tables, I think this is fair. The place is cozy so I don’t recommend going with groups of more than 4 people.

It's not the best in Munich, but it's a good place to go if you are in for a good meal. We tried the gyozas, udon noodle soup and the teriyaki rice bowl. All of them were flavorful and well-made. The service was also quite fast and very friendly.

Very good sushi and very good price/performance. The rice in particular is very good, which is unfortunately very difficult for many sushi shops. The other starters were also good. Would stop by again at any time. The only drawback is that the chairs are uncomfortable 🙃

The food is very tasty and the prices are really very affordable. I regularly eat sushi for lunch here. Operation is quick and you don't waste time unnecessarily.

It's delicious. In Germany, you can enjoy precious sushi such as shime mackerel and tuna 🍣 octopus. Miyuki Nakajima's thread plays in the BGM and makes me cry. It's a great store for people living in Germany. The taste of sushi may not reach the level of Japanese sushi, but I think it is delicious enough in this far away country.

Great food, flavor, and presentation wise. The service is very fast, and the homemade limonade is one that I recommend. The atmosphere is nice, but it can be quite full in the rush hours. The gyoza was very good.

Nice little restaurant in the city center with lots of different small dishes. We found the sushi and sweet potato tempura very tasty, the gyoza were so-so and the eggplant's skin was very hard. But all in all good. We eat sushi here every now and then.

Excellent service, lovely Staff. Food came fast and it was good. You can taste this isnt a upperscale sushi Palace, BUT it totally satisfies your sushi cravings. If you enjoy spending 300€ on 10 pieces of artisan sushi, this isnt your place.

The chairs outside are a bit inconvenient as someone is constantly walking past. However, very good food and good service.

A disappointing TooGoodToGo, very small portions and poor quality, not worth the €4. The portion size of TooGoodToGo purchased in Vienna is about three times that provided by this store.

Food is nice and quick. Service is decent but a bit unorganized, sometimes can order from table, sometimes need to go to the register to order and pay there then go back to seat.

We were only visiting Munich 3 days but came to the restaurant two nights in a row! We love it! Amazing food and great value (and quantity) for money. We tried a selection of sushi, gyoza, tempura prawns, rice bowls and ramen. We loved it all. The ordering style is also super cool. Would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine. Nice small restaurant with high quality products. Everything tasted fresh. Sushi and Ramen was very nice, the Takoyaki were amazing and the rice dish with chicken was average. All in all I can definitely recommend this as one if munichs better places for japanese cuisine.

Sushi San is very centrally located and easy to reach by public transport. The offer includes a variety of sushi, rolls, nigiri, miso soup, typical Japanese dishes and delicious desserts. We have combined various sushi specialties here and are thrilled with the quality of the food. Clear recommendation for all sushi lovers.

The resturant is very clean with a spotless toilet. The miso soup and sushi are extremely good, but the ramen taste cheap. The ramen tastes more like instant ramen and the soup is way too salty. The ramen is a bit overpriced but the sushi and udon are very good but also reasonably priced.

We have the udon soup here and unfortunately we can't say anything about the sushi. The soup was good, but could have been spicier. The kimchi, on the other hand, was absolutely amazing and we immediately ordered more.

Small, cute sushi shop. Very bright and friendly furnishings, the staff is also nice. I think it's great that the sushi comes in small portions (e.g. 3 pieces for €1.60). So you can actually try out several. Highly recommended to use the eggplants in sweet miso sauce as starters. Buttery soft and my mouth is watering again just describing it ☺️

Once again we left Sushi Sano happy and satisfied. We queued up dutifully from 4:50 p.m., entered as the third group and easily had space for 6 people 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼. We were able to order drinks quickly. Then we wrote down our orders on the slip. Soup🥣, side dishes🍤🍠🍆, edamame🫛, sushi🍣... there's a really great selection. If you don't like sushi at all, there are still enough dishes to fill you up. The orders came quickly and look pretty on the plates. The service was super friendly and discreet. Thank you! We'd love to come back. The price is really ok too.

The restaurant closes at 21:30, however they didn’t let us in after 19:30. We drove 20 minutes to get there, the staff was rude and it was a very disappointing trip. I would not recommend😥

Always and reliably good for sushi in between meals. Super nice and fast service. Food comes quickly. Sushi tastes fresh and great. Pay at the checkout and you're gone again. Prices are okay too. If I could ask for one more thing: I would like to know where the fish comes from and under what ecological criteria it was caught. It would be great if restaurants serving Asian food were more transparent. Thank you!

The best sushi I’ve eaten in a while. The fish is always fresh and melts in your mouth, the rice is perfectly cooked. Friendly staff, quick service and great lunch deals. Been a frequent guest to this place.

The ramen soups are not tasty at all. Not authentic. An instant ramen tastes better. The sushi is alright but also below average. Service had some issues too.

I love the gyoza bento for lunch to go. The gyoza are very tasty and the miso, seaweed salad and kimchi complement it perfectly. The ideal lunch without falling into a food coma afterwards.

We have been guests at Sushi SANO on Brunnstrasse for years and have mostly been satisfied. Now we were back on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. The dishes are all still good. However, the toilets are now miserable - they need to be improved (cleanliness). I'm annoyed about the extra charge of €1.50 for a little more ginger. I cannot currently recommend Sushi SANO (Brunnstraße).

Very nice, small, inexpensive sushi place in a great, centrally located location. Prices range from € 1,20 for three pieces to about € 2 for one piece - everything is freshly prepared - NO running sushi. You may eat as much spicy ginger as you like with every order - nice! Place is stylish and pretty popular, therefore often crowded. They offer take-away as well. Definitely recommended! Update 2024: prices have picked up, Place is still affordable, yet the unlimited ginger is no more. Still love the place.

Mein Lieblingslokal um in der Stadt snell zum Mittag zu essen. Sushi oder Suppe ist alles sehr köstlich

Minimalistische aber angenehme Ambiente, super liebe Mitarbeiter, schnelle und leckere Gerichte. Haben uns super wohl gefühl! Preise äußerst human und ich finde das System, dass man sich aufschreiben kann was man will, und es dann vorzeigt super für Leute mit sozialen Ängsten! Mein neuer lieblings Sushi spot!!
