I had food poisoning after ordering from this restaurant, apparently from spoiled or improperly prepared fish. Quality and hygiene seem to be a big problem here - and this is not the first time that a restaurant owned by the same owner has been noticed with poor hygiene. I strongly advise anyone who values fresh sushi not to order.

We were there a few months ago and it was really good, but nothing compared to this time. We are thrilled. It was an absolute culinary delight. The best sushi I've ever eaten. Absolutely punctual and super friendly contact. I can only recommend it. 10 stars from me (out of 10)

Was delivered. Unfortunately, the expensive packaging is of little use if I receive a rice salad instead of the beautifully composed rolls. Since I don't eat out of the box, I don't care about the "exclusive" unboxing experience. Your roles don't need such a delusion. Buy cheaper boxes that are suitable for transport... and make the roll cheaper.

Constant decline! When GO opened its doors in Munich a few years ago, the sushi was a feast for the eyes and a revolution in terms of taste and quality. Unfortunately, with every move, it feels like a bit of the taste and quality has been lost, but the prices have constantly risen. Last week's order was the absolute lowest point and therefore the last time. The sushi tastes uninspired, bland and, worst of all, everything the same. The formerly crispy chicken was bland and beyond crispy. Overall a disappointment.

We ordered sushi here a while ago and it was quite okay. Now we have ordered here again. This time it tasted fantastic. The quality has increased significantly than last time. There was probably a change in leadership. The delivery arrived undamaged within the specified period. The staff is very friendly. We order here more often now.

There used to be very tasty sushi here. Apparently, this is no longer the case after the company's announced insolvency and the associated restart. After our last order on September 29th. Old and bad tasting sushi awaited us, the taste of which was below supermarket quality. The sushi tasted and seemed like it had been prepared hours in advance. In addition, the individual parts disintegrated into several individual pieces when eaten. But of course the price is the same, because this “fun” cost us almost 100 euros for two people. Unfortunately, that was probably our last order.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with my predecessors. :-/ Price-performance in terms of quality and especially quantity is not right at all. Sushi seems to be prepared straight away so that it can then simply be sent on its way. Fresh is simply different. Even the toppings on the sushi were dried out. Too bad! That was really shit. I won't give up my valuable name for that, Mr. Henssler.

Ordered the Steffen H. plate online to pick up, that worked well. 2 meters after leaving, a handle of the bag tore off, luckily there was nothing breakable in it. The sushi portions were at least good and imaginative, but the meat of the 2 chicken skewers was almost outrageous (small cold, cured-tasting pieces wrapped in a lot of teriyaki varnish). Avocado was ok and sliced, you can't go wrong. It is incomprehensible to us that Mr. H. would give his name to this. The price-performance ratio is definitely not right. Luckily there are better and cheaper options in Munich!

We were there for the first time and were very excited. We don't actually eat sushi, but this was really great. Everything looked great, the staff was very friendly, the pick-up shop is clean and well maintained and the food was extremely good and fresh. We'll definitely be back

Unfortunately, the sushi and the presentation are not worth the money. The sushi wasn't bad overall, but it really wasn't anything special either. In Munich you can find many sushi restaurants with better and cheaper sushi. The rolls weren't rolled particularly well and some fell apart when picked up with the chopsticks. Unfortunately, they forgot the wasabi and ginger when we ordered. The sauces were not labeled (except for the mayonnaise). Since we had also ordered salads, we first had to try out what the dressing was. As already mentioned in previous comments, the fried foods were no longer really crispy. It still tasted good and of course it is difficult to keep the breading crispy over the delivery time, but in this price category it should be possible! It's also a bit of a shame that you can't see the ingredients of the rolls when you order (at least on your smartphone it's just a matter of guessing). The order arrived on time and the delivery person was very friendly. Overall, the sushi and the advertising on the website made it seem as if anyone could apply to become a franchise partner.

We ordered here frequently before the bankruptcy and were always satisfied. Today we ordered for the first time since bankruptcy and we are very disappointed. One dish was missing and two other dishes were faulty. Half of the sushi had tipped over in the package and was no longer nice to look at. The taste is still very good but no longer at the same level as before. When I wanted to complain, I couldn't reach anyone on the phone. People simply no longer care about the customer. This cannot be the case for an order value of over €100. It's a shame, unfortunately never again.

Just a few years ago I was a regular customer at Go by Steffen Henssler in Munich. The sushi was fresh, the crispy starters were crispy and the overall experience was perfect! Sushi for home in the best restaurant quality! Meanwhile, the delivery is a minimum of 45 minutes late. The crunchy starters and soups are of course cold. The sushi rolls are also more reminiscent of discount sushi. That no longer justifies the price! Don't understand how they could wear off so hard in several months

Edit 2: The food is still good, decent sushi. However, we have gotten into the habit of consistently arriving 20-30 minutes late for every pre-order. Really annoying. Edit: After the restaurant apologized and reported it and we ordered again, we increased our rating again. Communication obviously improved, portions were decent, quality remained very high - as did the prices. If the quality and service continue to improve, that's fine Original version: Have ordered here very often. Unfortunately, other reviews are right. The food is getting a little worse, portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher. The last order was delivered 30 minutes late despite pre-ordering and calling. In addition, two things were forgotten but accounted for. All five subsequent calls received no response or return. Written complaints were also consistently ignored. Accordingly, our ordering relationship has now ended. Three stars because the quality is still good!

Price performance is not right here at all - sushi didn't taste like anything, salmon from the makis were tough, rice was hard and some of the rolls weren't rolled well so they fell apart. The Wakame cucumber salad for 6 EUR consisted of 99% cucumbers... so Go by Steffen Henssler is not recommended

What a train wreck! You don't even know where to start... Delivery: Top, super friendly, accommodating, everything was great. If only the young man had delivered pizza or gyros... But what was delivered here as (fusion) sushi would be cheeky for half the price, but at €140 for two people it would simply be an outrage: Edamame with truffle mayo (you want to try "something crazy"): Actually, you assume that the crew of a "celebrity chef" will be able to get a firm consistency of the mayo... And that a truffle mayo is not made with "truffle" oil (that from the supermarket that tastes so nice chemo)... I was taught otherwise. "Sushi" - yes, I saw that it was fusion stuff, with an American twist. The fish was fresh too, no question. But I think the fish is ashamed in the afterlife of having been abused for something like that... Completely overloaded in terms of taste and smell, it was just a single porridge. Textures? None! The biggest mistake was of a technical nature, inside-out rolls (aka California rolls) should at least have rice all around, the rice should have a certain consistency and density, a baked tempura should not look/taste like a greeting from Captain Iglo and not when fall apart at first contact with the rods... You're already used to some belly landings from Munich sushi, but this was a fail of the decade (in which I live here). You can get better sushi at the airport elsewhere (for less than half the price)... e.g. SFO Gate 101

I have pre-ordered food for delivery. The food arrived over an hour late, apparently because the driver couldn't leave due to a broken wheel. Unfortunately that was a lie because the driver called me later to tell me there was a further delay because he had to leave so many other customers before me. The driver was on the road for almost 1.5 hours with my sushi order and I also ordered crispy rice and a soup. He didn't answer my question as to whether the food was still warm or whether he should come at all. My mood was already in the basement because I was really hungry. Of course, the food was no longer tasty at all and some of it was cold. When I complained, I was told they could deliver the food again but the result would be the same because they were understaffed. I think I was credited with around €30.00 out of a €96.00 order because I simply didn't have any tasty food. Reaching someone there is also almost impossible. When I still lived in Hamburg, I always liked ordering from GO. Now I wouldn't do it again.

Quality has decreased extremely. We had ordered several times and it was always fresh, well presented and well prepared. This time, however, the avocado was completely unripe (so you couldn't eat the roll), the presentation was sloppy, and in new, less elaborate (cheaper) boxes. There was also only a tiny soy sauce and no more (!) wasabi and the rolls were smaller with less rice. Since we had ordered exactly the same thing for €92 as a few weeks before, the savings that were being made are extremely noticeable!! Definitely not worth the money and that's why we didn't order anything there anymore. Very unfortunate

Wir wollten uns trotz des stolzen Preises mal das Sushi gönnen. Allein die Aufmachung wirkt schon sehr edel und besonders. Wir hatten die das Crispy Chicken Teriyaki, Truffle Crunchy Toll, Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Roll, Truffle Crunchy Roll under die Candy Roll (die letzten zwei sind unsere klaren Favoriten). Geschmacklich hervorragend, jeden Cent Wert.

We are fans of Hensler Sushi… so far. Hamburg and Berlin were great. You got special sushi. Flavor nuances were perfectly worked out and individual components were actually recognizable. Presentation top! Absolutely special in terms of taste. Worth its price. Dear Steffen Hensler Munich, probably a franchise concept, but unfortunately bad. Mainstream sushi for big money. In addition, tempura tastes like old fat, anything but crunchy. Uniform sushi. Sorry, we would have liked to become regulars here too, but not where.

For this price range and reputation, I found the meal extremely disappointing. The tempura was average, but at least it felt like they put some effort in to make it authentic. Sushi on the other hand was quite disastrous. Firstly, they were not quite assembled as advertised, and it looked and tasted like a few ingredients were missing. Secondly, the rice was so dry and hard that no sushi survived being picked up, every piece immediately crumbled and fell apart no matter how gentle I tried to pick them up. The rice was old, dry and tasteless. Like what one would expect from the sushi out of a supermarket fridge. Lastly, the fish on the nigiri sushi were also very dry, again did not look and taste like they were prepared freshly before I received them. Honestly, I’ve ordered delivery service from many much cheaper places with higher quality.

Wow it is really so incredibly tasty 😋 fancy packaging and very high quality products. It does have its price, but it's worth it. We had the premium salmon roll, tuna avocado maki, crispy chicken teriyaki, spicy salmon tempura and there were two of us. It was enough to satisfy our hunger. I think if we had been really hungry we certainly wouldn't have been full. But it was very, very tasty.

Ich hatte bei Go by Steffen Henssler bestellt, da ich meinen Gästen etwas Besonderes bieten wollte. Ich hatte schon einmal vor sehr langer Zeit - 2022? dort bestellt und die Qualität war gut. Die Verpackung ist sehr beeindruckend, die Qualität war ungenießbar. Wir waren geschockt, wie für soviel Geld so schlechte Qualität geliefert werden konnte. Ich kann nur davon abraten, dort zu bestellen.

We order sushi here once a year and were always very satisfied and this time I wanted to surprise my friend, which went completely wrong. Despite pre-ordering, the sushi arrived half an hour late without any information, then instead of the chrispy chicken teriyaki we ordered, normal, cheaper chicken was served Packed teriyaki and it was cold. Two of the packages were open and came flying towards us and the fried crunchy sushi was very sticky and had no crunch at all. It all looked like it had already been driven all over the city. Unfortunately we won't be ordering here again, very disappointing, the price/performance ratio is no longer right at all

Unfortunately, I had a catastrophic experience. We ordered sushi and the delivery time was stated as 90 minutes, after 150 minutes we received it. The hot dishes were ice cold and inedible, and we were also given the wrong cheaper dish. There was no response to my complaint. Mistakes can happen, but then you have to react to them. Sushi is otherwise okay, but there is much better quality for the price in Munich.

We really liked the black design of the sushi boxes etc. But we were hoping for more in terms of taste. We ordered everything from the menu. The “simple” salmon maki were actually our favorite. The miso soup was good. The tempura vegetables were a bit too bland for us. The special sushi rolls such as “Steffens Rolls”, “Crispy Tuna” or the vegetarian “Hulk” did not convince us in terms of taste. The cucumber wakame salad was disappointing because 97% cucumber and only about 3% wakame. We tried it and won't spend so much money again for the "okay" taste experience.

Wir wollten es mal testen und es war gespalten. Das creamy Tuna tartar war ein Traum, sowohl von der Anrichte als such von Qualität und Geschmack. Ebenso das Avokado tartar auf gepopptem Mais. Dafür war leider eher enttäuschend die yakitori Spieße, die zwar geschmacklich gut aber vollkommen in teriaky sauce ertränkt waren. So fein das tuna tartar, so babarisch sahen die aus. Und leider eine total Ausfall waren die Trüffel beef rolls. Bei 5 von 8 war das Fleisch leider komplett sehnig und so ungenießbar, daß es für 19,50 für 8 rolls einfach eine Frechheit ist, egal wie nett und mit verschiedenen Gedchmäckern es angerichtet ist, sehniges Fleisch geht einfach nicht.

Meine Erwartungshaltung war groß, wurde leider nicht erfüllt. ich hatte den Eindruck, dass die Speisen aus dem Kühlschrank kamen, ihnen fehlte es an Frische. Das fällt besonders dann auf, wenn Tempura im Spiel ist. Der Gurkensalat schwamm im Dressing und war entsprechend durchgeweicht und das Avocado Ceviche war mehr Mus. Die Rollen sind eher klein, es gibt wenig Sojasoße. Alles in allem qualitativ nur mittelmäßig, mit dem Hamburger Henssler hat es nichts zu tun. Da nützt auch die aufwendige - und augenscheinlich wenig nachhaltige - Verpackung nichts.

Wir haben es abgeholt, daher keine Probleme mit dem Lieferdienst. Ich finde man bestellt hier ein Erlebnis was optisch und geschmacklich auf sehr hohem Niveau ist; aber nicht perfekt. Ich würde empfehlen von jedem etwas zu nehmen. Es steckt viel Detail im Essen, vor allem in den Soßen. Das Sushi ist nicht überragend, hier kann man woanders besser auf den Geschmack kommen. Tatsächlich überzeugte hier Veggie Crunch Roll am meisten. Enttäuscht war ich bei dem Lachs und Thunfisch-Sushi darüber, dass diese nahezu im Sesam ertränkt wurden. Der Sesamgeschmack überwog somit, schade. Wer für den reinen Geschmack bestellt ist woanders besser bedient. Wer jedoch das Erlebnis sucht, ist hier richtig aufgehoben.

Ich habe bei der Bestellung "Abholung" gewählt, weil unser Wohnort leider nicht innerhalb des Lieferbereichs liegt. Der früheste Abholtermin war 2:15h (!) nach Bestellung. Ok, dann halt warten. Ganz einfach zu finden war der Abholort dann aber nicht weil von der Straße keinerlei Beschilderung oder Hinweis erkennbar ist. Nachdem ich ein paar Henssler'sche Lierferautos stehen sehen habe, wähnte ich mich schon am richtigen Ort (Hotel Liefereingang). Letztendlich wurde ich dann aber von einem Mitarbeiter zum Vordereingang des Hotels geschickt. Genauer gesagt stand ich dann vor einem Hotel an der Auffahrt. Hier leider kein Hinweis auf eine Abholung. Nachdem ich 15 Minuten über der Abholzeit immer noch da stand, habe ich den Concierge des Hotels gefragt wo die Abholung genau wäre. Dieser (obwohl er Nichts mit dem Restaurant zu tun hat) ist dann freundlicherweise in deren Küche gegangen um nachzufragen (nomml Danke hierfür). Leider konnte er mir nach Rückkehr auch nur sagen, dass es Verzögerungen gäbe und ich vor dem Hotel warten soll. Nach nochmaliger Wartezeit von 15 Minuten ist dann endlich ein Mitarbeiter mit meiner Tüte erschienen - recht wortkarg. Keine Entschuldigung, einfach Tüte in die Hand gedrückt, umgedreht und im Hotel verschwunden. Echt? 2:15h Vorlauf + 30 Minuten Wartezeit und dann: nix?? Das macht jede noch-so-schlechte Abholklitsche besser. Und das auch, wenn man nicht für knapp 150€ bestellt hat... Beim Gehen hab ich dann an einem Seiteneingang des Hotels 2 Pappaufsteller von Henssler entdeckt. "Pick-Up-Point" und Telefonnummer. Leider kann man diese nicht wirklich entdecken, wenn man auf dem vorgesehenen Weg zum Hoteleingang geht. Wohl noch nicht einmal, wenn man 30 Minuten "Zeit hat" sich umzusehen... Das Essen selbst gibt keinen nennenswerten Grund zur Kritik. Stylishe Verpackung (wenn auch dadurch arg viel Einwegmüll entsteht) und wirklich erstklassig angerichtet! Bis auf die Miso-Suppe. Die war leider beim Entgegennehmen der Tüte schon nur noch lauwarm. Liegt wohl am unisolierten Pappbecher. Leider erinnerte die Suppe dann auch geschmacklich an besagten Pappbecher. Würde mich interessieren, wie dann die Option "Lieferung" warme Suppen und Fleischspieße gewährleisten soll...

Mehr Schein als Sein! Die Rollen sind sehr klein, während der Preis sehr groß ist. In der Rich Boy Roll für 21€ etwa befindet sich Surimi statt richtigem Fisch, was auf den Fotos im Shop nicht zu erkennen ist (Zutatenliste anscheinend nicht vorhanden). Auch geschmacklich absolut kein Highlight. Das machen viele kleine asiatische Imbisse deutlich besser (für einen Bruchteil des Preises). Insgesamt eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung.

Ausgezeichnetes Sushi. Ich habe bereits 3x dort bestellt und wurde nie enttäuscht. Die Rolls sind mit Liebe zum Detail kreiert und das schmeckt man auch. Klar - man darf etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen aber das ist es allemal wert.

Wir haben das erste mal bei „GO by Steffen Henssler“ bestellt und wir sind mehr als zufrieden. Wir hatten verschiedenstes Sushi für drei Personen bestellt und es war absolut ausreichend. Der Lieferservice rief kurz vor Lieferzeitpunkt noch einmal an und gab Bescheid, dass es 10 Minuten länger dauern würde. Das Sushi war unglaublich lecker! Die verschiedenen Soßen haben alles noch abgerundet. Von der Bestellung, über die Lieferung bis hin zum Essen hat also alles super gepasst! Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Bestes Sushi! Wir haben bereits zum 3. Mal bei Steffen Henssler bestellt und es ist unglaublich lecker. Nicht in Worte zu fassen! Die Zutaten haben super Qualität und das Sushi ist wahnsinnig schön angerichtet. Würden am liebsten wöchentlich im GO bestellen (wäre da nicht der Preis 😉). Sehr empfehlenswert 😀

Das Sushi ist schön aufbereitet und wird hochwertig serviert. Geschmacklich ok. Leider mehr erwartet und auch schon weit besseres Sushi gegessen. Bei 24 Sushid könnte auch mehr als eine Soja Sauce dabei sein. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier leider nicht.

Preis/Leistung stimmt leider nicht überein. Sushi war teilweise trocken und hat nicht gewirkt als wäre es frisch zubereitet, obwohl Abholung vor Ort. Toppings waren nicht wie beschrieben vorhanden. Wir haben einige Sushi, sashimi, tempura und chicken bestellt. Ich fand die Speisen sehr ansprechend, waren sehr frisch und alles sehr ordentlich verpackt, leider sehr viel Plastik, aber anders nicht möglich. Mit 100€ für 2 Personen muss gerechnet werden. Denkt daran, Sushi ist immer viel Handarbeit. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Lieferung 4,50€. Vollkommen gerechtfertigt in der heutigen Zeit.

Die Qualität des Sushis ist normalerweise immer top! Dieses Mal haben wir im Wert von ca. 120€ bestellt. Jede Sushirolle ist sofort zerfallen und man hat ihnen schon direkt angesehen, dass sie nicht richtig gerollt waren. Für diesen Preis erwarte ich zumindest auch Stäbchen zum Essen. Außerdem sollte man bei einer derartigen Bestellung mehr als 1x Sojasauce und 1x Wasabi bekommen. Ich hoffe Preis-Leistung werden wieder wie früher.

Gewiss handelt es sich hier um kein traditionelles Sushi, welches ich aber als sehr gut empfinde. Aufgrund des hohen Preises werden wir es uns aber nur ab und an gönnen. Das Creamy Tuna Tartar ist der Hit, ebenso die beiden Sashimis. Die beiden Cocktails Botanicum und Samurais Elixier waren geschmacklich recht eigentümlich und nicht mein Fall. Die Saucen sollten hinsichtlich Geschmack und Zutaten erklärt werden. So weiß ich nicht, aus was die Hulksauce besteht und wie sie schmeckt.

Delivery service is above expectation. Most of the existing Japanese restaurants are not having the same quality of food and such a friendly and professional service indoor, but Go by Steffen Henssler is actually making it happened in a comfort of your home. Being very excited to check out there new opening in Late October, where I could really experience their hospitality. Strongly recommend.

We were very impressed and thought it was delicious there! The sushi was always freshly prepared in front of the guests. The staff was very friendly and fulfilled the guest's every wish if something wasn't on the agenda. The price-performance ratio was very good! We can recommend Miyu 100 percent and would be happy to come back!

The most disgusting meal of my life! Thinly filleted fish, already rancid at the corners, draped on crumbly crispy rice balls - served on black hair. Are you serious, Shoya? You yourself would never bring garbage anywhere near your mouths - selling such rubbish to paying customers is not "having a bad day" - it must have been intentional... In more detail: I love sushi, I eat it with pleasure and regularly - probably a few thousand times in all kinds of countries. I'm not a purist: Of course you're interested in authentic Japanese sushi; But I can also make do with the Vietnamese sushi, which is more common in this country, or, if necessary, eat a take-away box or something from the delivery service; But then more as a side dish and just salmon, anything else would be too delicate for me. Now I was in PEP and suddenly had a real craving for sushi. In Kaufland there is a take-away counter that is surprisingly acceptable for the corresponding cravings. Certainly not “good”, but at least edible. No - I wanted something “sensible”, and even though my last visit to Shoya was a few years ago and was already rather sobering, I thought: Nothing could go wrong - I at least still think of the Shoya chain as being somewhat authentically Japanese guided in memory. So I ordered sashimi and a few nigiri and rolls to pick up half an hour later. I didn't get a receipt because there wasn't one. Good: Everyone can design their accounting as they see fit, and I actually don't care, but it somehow completes the overall picture that follows. I received my bag well tied. That was really their luck, otherwise I would have slapped them with such impudence. When we arrived home, we were unpacked and prepared full of anticipation. Normally my cats always come running happily to sushi and steal a piece or two of sashimi. They ran this time too, but in the other direction, after briefly sniffing at this impudence... Really: I've never seen anything like it. Even the most anti-social delivery service would be ashamed of what they gave me. The nigiri were neither Japanese (a little rice and a lot of fish) nor à la delivery service (a lot of rice, less fish) - but rather: a lump of rice the size of a grape (the rice was grainy and not soft, and apparently completely unseasoned), which was half of it The nigiri has already broken down into several pieces in the packaging, topped with a very thinly sliced piece of fish. I was already thinking that maybe the sushi master was missing and they brought in the kebab chef from next door to help out; But only a true master can probably cut fish so finely as paper-thin. Some of the fish was already rancid at the ends, which means it was dried out and discolored. But the sashimi: They were just completely weird cut chunks that were in the box. The size is outstanding, but that really has nothing to do with sashimi... You could eat salmon, borderline tuna - I tried a piece of the rest and spat it out. At least one variety was definitely gone - I've never had anything so disgusting in my mouth. The rolls were also terrible: they were rolled strangely, they all fell apart before they were eaten, and they tasted miserable. The black hair that I then pulled out from under the sushi was the icing on the cake. I'm really not sensitive about things like that, but nothing really fit. “Sushi” that looked like something a five-year-old had creatively realized in his mom’s kitchen. Unseasoned, dried-out rice. Rancid fish. How on earth can you give something like that out to customers? Shame on you, Shoya. Pathetic and dangerous to health!

Even if the name suggests it, no bento boxes are sold here. It's a normal sushi shop. Had yakiniku and a 6 maki, the latter had a very hard nori. It tastes ok
