Sushi Lô in Hamburg

RAT ALERT! Unfortunately, we walked straight from the storage room to the kitchen, right after we finished our meal. The food and value for money were all great, but hire a company to fix your rat problem.

Points go to the ambiance and the good-looking dishes. Unfortunately, the taste is more than meager. Perhaps we should have guessed: if Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, and Japanese are on the menu, it can hardly taste very authentic. The ramen was a huge disappointment for me. A real shame!

Super delicious sushi at a fair price! We've been there twice since the first one was great!

Our first time here. Unfortunately the food was too salty and oily. At first glance, the ramen noodle soup seemed a bit strange and looked more like a tomato soup. However, the sushi was delicious (we were hungry so forgot to take a photo). Next time we come back we will only order sushi.

Ordered to take away and didn't have to wait long the vegetarian sushi box was really delicious If we had ordered something to drink, we would have spent €20-30 per person instead of just €10-20 you have to know.

Authentic cuisine, fair prices and friendly staff.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, they made a lot of effort to accommodate us despite the restaurant being full. Food came super quickly and was very good, service was very accommodating and friendly! Selection also very good! Were very satisfied!

Food very tasty! I find charging 50 cents for a glass of tap water that I had to pick up at the counter myself, without even mentioning the cost, just a disgrace. Especially because I ate there for over 25 euros. Generally there is hardly any service, you always have to walk to the counter yourself even though there are several employees present.

We asked ourselves why so many gave it 4 stars and after our visit yesterday we understood. The store is really good. The sushi tastes solid and good. It has to be acknowledged, but something is still missing to make it very good. What is really very good here is the price/performance ratio. Service was also good, sometimes slightly abrupt due to the crowd. We sat in the back and the acoustics were way too loud. Of course, it also speaks for the store that all the tables were occupied and that was why it was so loud. We can therefore recommend it if you want to eat delicious sushi that is still affordable. We will definitely end up at Sushi Lô again.

I like Sushi Lô - the selection is large, the food is very tasty and the tables are well spaced in my opinion. When it's full it's rather loud here but that's to be expected. :)

Never again! We were there on Saturday to eat sushi. It was full, which was to be expected, but after 10 minutes we were seated next to the toilets - completely unacceptable! We then sat down at another table for two. Our order was wrong from the start: we had ordered salmon, avocado and arugula with cream cheese. Instead, salmon and avocado arrived in a roll, tuna instead of salmon, and the cream cheese was missing from the arugula sushi. On the second attempt, the order was wrong again - the cream cheese was simply slapped carelessly on the arugula. The third time the cream cheese was missing again. An absolute disgrace!

Everything was so good that the food tasted delicious as always. I've been there many times and it always impressed me. But today something happened that shocked me and we saw a mouse running under the tables, which I found very disgusting.

Great food, friendly service. Very tasty sushi. Cozy, modern atmosphere. Sushi Lo is easy to reach by public transport. For example, by bus to Neuer Pferdemarkt or by subway to Feldstraße. Lively ambience. Be sure to reserve, it's definitely worth it 😊

I love Asian and that's why the restaurant is so cool. There is sushi, soups, noodles, curry and delicious drinks. 🥰🏯

I tried Teriyaki Chicken ramen and Pho but when I compared Pho was better. I would definitely come back and try some sushi!

Very tasty sushi! The other dishes are also recommended. The homemade lemonade and beer were also tasty. Despite it being quite full, you were served quickly and didn't have to wait long. Recommended.🍣

The ambience is appealing and beautifully designed. The prices for sushi are relatively cheap compared to other restaurants, but I think this is also reflected in the taste. The sushi isn't outstanding, but it's not bad either - rather average. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired: the staff didn't seem very friendly and seemed more like they were just there to get their work done.

We ate the best sushi here in a long time and at a very fair price! We particularly liked the fried sushi. But in general the fish was super fresh and melted in the mouth. We also thought it was great that tons of rice wasn't used to artificially make the rolls bigger - so you can taste the actual ingredients and not just eat mostly the rice. Plus, the service was incredibly friendly! We already know that this will be our new regular sushi restaurant... :)

Sushi Lô on the Schanze also offers vegan options, making it versatile. The waiting time is a little longer, so it's worth making a reservation in advance so you can eat in a relaxed manner.

I was visiting Hamburg and found this restaurant based on internet recommendations. We liked it, very tasty sushi and good homemade drinks. I would recommend reserving a table in advance

If you order meat in a sushi shop, it's probably your own fault... Don't do it.

It's strange when there's been a sign hanging in the door for a week that only cash payments are possible today. What's the point of being in a sushi shop where you can easily lose €100? I love this place!! The atmosphere is very cozy and cool, the food takes a bit of time but it’s totally worth it because the flavors are amazing😮‍💨 there’s plenty of good vegetarian and vegan options. I also loved the strawberry lemonade if you’re looking for something very sweet🤩 It was my second time there and would definitely come back!!

The food was tasty and cheap. However, it takes a long time for a waitress to come, or rather we had to call her over to be able to order. The wrong things were brought to us twice, but when we let them know we quickly got the right things.

We were there with 5 girls and found the sushi very tasty and inexpensive. The rolls weren't huge, but they were cheap for sushi. We paid around €80 for 5 people. There were also vegetarian options.

The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I organized a birthday dinner just a couple of days in advance, and everything went smoothly.

The service here is at a subpar level. When I asked for the teapot to be refilled, all I got instead of an answer was a giggle from the waitress and a comment that I should just order a new one (at full price, of course). The highly praised price-performance ratio here is made up of very small portions (sushi and nigiri). The eel on my unagi nigiri was tiny. The sushi does have a "reasonable" price, but there are only 5 pieces per serving. To add to my disappointment, the scallops on the "Scallop Tower" sushi I ordered were very thin. Presumably only a single scallop was used for every 5 pieces of sushi. It does not correspond at all to the pictures in the menu. Simply disappointing.

Overall the restaurant has gone down a lot. We were there at lunchtime today, there was really no one there. We wanted to put a chair at a table because we wanted to sit by the window, but we were denied that. We then left the store.

Were very rude, we were brought to the table without any greeting. We ate and drank something, the plates and glasses were pulled from the table!!!!!! But the food was very good, just a bit small portions.

I got something from the lunch table Apart from the fact that the sushi tasted like it was from a discount store, the wasabi was missing and there was only 1 son of fish bottle of soy sauce... I definitely can't recommend it

Visited there as a big group and ordered the special sushi plate for three people and it was nice. The service was alright, though not all the waiters were equally friendly. The rice with fried chicken was also very tasty but I didn’t understand why it came with salad! Overall, I would rate it 4 stars to start with, but I plan to visit again and reassess.

Sushi Lo offers very tasty fresh food at moderate prices. There is something for every taste and by no means just sushi. The staff is friendly and very attentive! In front of the windows you can watch the colorful hustle and bustle on the shoulder blade 😉

Nice ambience. Unfortunately, I don't understand why sashimi can no longer be ordered. This is not usual for a Japanese restaurant.

My favorite affordable sushi spot in Hamburg. Their sushi is priced well and the rolls are delicious. May personal favorite is the Lachs Oshi (521). Or the crispy rice one!! Delicious. The service is also really good. I have walked in and ordered to go before as well with a 10min wait to get everything ready. Definitely a big recommendation from me.

Very good sushi restaurant on the Schanze. There are very interesting sushi variations at a reasonable price. The service is super fast and very friendly. The ambience is very nice, but when the restaurant is full it is very loud. I can only recommend Sushi-Lo as the sushi is very tasty and the prices are not overpriced.

Interesting sushi variations at reasonable prices. The restaurant can be reached on foot by train via Feldstraße or Sternschanze. The visit can easily be combined with a walk through the ski jump. The inventory and the ambience definitely need improvement. At the time of the visit, some of the toilets were broken. The staff is friendly and happy to take orders using the numbers on the menu. The reservation works easily via the website.

Had ramen soup. However, it could be very tasty with a little more addition. But highly recommended. Service is somewhat reserved, which I consider to be Asian politeness. But everything worked out.

The order was relatively uncomplicated; the waiter couldn't answer the question about the beer selection. Showed me three bottles instead. Not bad, it happens, but I still have to learn. Then I ordered sushi. But in 5 minutes the wrong order ends up on my table. The waiter immediately took the portion back and ate it at the bar counter. The final impression was waiting for me in the toilet. Stinks of old urine and mess. Sure, it could be due to customers, but... I wonder what the 5 employees actually do? During the week at 4 p.m. I would have expected more in the big city. Ultimately it's about the food: small portions, too much rice and value for money is really bad.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, the staff is super attentive, the orders came to the table quickly and the food was amazing. We put together sushi for two people and both drank a delicious lemonade and it cost less than €45. So value for money is definitely given. Highly recommended!

Was there today with friends. A friend and I were there with babies. After eating we wanted to order dessert, but we weren't allowed to order it on the grounds that the guests felt disturbed. Aha... when children croak or play from time to time, you automatically feel disturbed. Child-friendly is something different for me. This is a disgrace and simply outrageous. We won't go there anymore. I would prefer to give zero stars.

We were just at the flea market and were looking for something tasty and delicious Japanese and found this. Tasty and inexpensive, fast and friendly service. They even have SAPPORO beer here. We will be back.
