Sushi Lô in Hamburg

The food is very tasty and the drinks are also the best restaurant I have ever been to.

It tasted really delicious and the ambience was nice too!

Small, inconspicuous sushi restaurant where a visit is definitely worth it, great ambience, mega sushi reasonable prices

We were on a short trip to Hamburg and were looking for a good sushi restaurant. We happened upon Sushi Lô by chance while walking by, but it was very busy that day. We tried it the next day and were not disappointed. We got a table quickly, even though we hadn't made a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. After we placed our order, the food arrived surprisingly quickly. The tom kah ga was hot and very good. The sushi was very, very tasty. We also ordered baked sushi. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and still very warm. For me, this was the best sushi I've ever eaten. We'll definitely visit Sushi Lô again on our next trip to Hamburg.

The value for money is definitely there. It's not the best sushi I've ever had, but for Hamburg's Sternenschanze, the prices are reasonable and the food is great. Highly recommended, especially for students.

Nice central location with a good menu

The ambiance is stylish, but it has a bit of a cafeteria feel; it's just a bit too crowded, especially when the restaurant is very busy. Then the coziness is completely lost. Service is friendly and attentive. The sushi is delicious, but the individual pieces are quite small. So it's not as cheap as it might seem at first. It's not a flavor explosion, but it's okay for the price.

Tasty food and really good service

The sushi was good for the price. You'll get what you pay for. Unfortunately, they don't accept cards. 😅 maybe I miss the signage by the door.

It was tasty but they should offer more rice noodles or at least be able to change the order, what a shame!

Very tasty sushi and nice service

I went to Sushi Lo today and can only say: it was a disaster. We sat at our table for over 40 minutes, called for the waiter three times – no response. Only when I loudly announced that we were leaving if no one came did the woman behind the counter give us a completely unfriendly response: "I'm not making you stay." No apology, no interest, nothing. Service = 0 stars. When we finally got around to ordering, the food arrived cold, poorly presented, and tasted far below average. You can get much better quality in Eppendorf for the same price. Obviously, the staff is far too short – but that doesn't justify the rudeness. If you want to ruin your evening, this is the place for you.

Good food but a bit more expensive

This place is wonderful! The fish is very tender and the sushi is incredibly tasty! We were treated well and our order was delivered quite quickly! I recommend it to everyone 🥰

Delicious food and nice staff get relatively uncomfortable when it gets more crowded, but that doesn't distract too much.

The reception was repeated!! unfriendly. The toilets were dirty, there was dust everywhere. In the store you sit in a row like chickens on a perch. The food came quickly, but the price/performance ratio for the sushi was rather poor. The nigirs are wafer-thin, the sushi rice barely seasoned. The sushi was very neutral and each type tasted the same.

It was my first time really eating sushi. Food was great and everything else was great too! I'd love to come back.

Nice sushi shop in the Schanze. In addition to sushi, you can also get other Asian dishes here. We ordered sushi here and a salad with chicken, which was fried, unfortunately it turned out a bit dry, but it happened. Sushi was okay, had the bento 9. I thought the drink (vitamin C) was quite good. Plus point, food comes relatively quickly. I find the other stores (of the same chain) to be better quality.

RAT ALERT! Unfortunately we walked straight from the camp to the kitchen right after we had finished our meal. Food, value for money, everything was great, but hire a company to fix your rat problem.

Points go to the ambiance and the good-looking dishes. Unfortunately, the taste is more than meager. Perhaps we should have guessed: if Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, and Japanese are on the menu, it can hardly taste very authentic. The ramen was a huge disappointment for me. A real shame!

Super delicious sushi at a fair price! We've been there twice since the first one was great!

Our first time here. Unfortunately the food was too salty and oily. At first glance, the ramen noodle soup seemed a bit strange and looked more like a tomato soup. However, the sushi was delicious (we were hungry so forgot to take a photo). Next time we come back we will only order sushi.

Ordered to take away and didn't have to wait long the vegetarian sushi box was really delicious If we had ordered something to drink, we would have spent €20-30 per person instead of just €10-20 you have to know.

Authentic cuisine, fair prices and friendly staff.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, they made a lot of effort to accommodate us despite the restaurant being full. Food came super quickly and was very good, service was very accommodating and friendly! Selection also very good! Were very satisfied!

Food very tasty! I find charging 50 cents for a glass of tap water that I had to pick up at the counter myself, without even mentioning the cost, just a disgrace. Especially because I ate there for over 25 euros. Generally there is hardly any service, you always have to walk to the counter yourself even though there are several employees present.

We asked ourselves why so many gave it 4 stars and after our visit yesterday we understood. The store is really good. The sushi tastes solid and good. It has to be acknowledged, but something is still missing to make it very good. What is really very good here is the price/performance ratio. Service was also good, sometimes slightly abrupt due to the crowd. We sat in the back and the acoustics were way too loud. Of course, it also speaks for the store that all the tables were occupied and that was why it was so loud. We can therefore recommend it if you want to eat delicious sushi that is still affordable. We will definitely end up at Sushi Lô again.

I like Sushi Lô - the selection is large, the food is very tasty and the tables are well spaced in my opinion. When it's full it's rather loud here but that's to be expected. :)

Never again! We were there on Saturday to eat sushi. It was full, which was to be expected, but after 10 minutes we were seated next to the toilets - completely unacceptable! We then sat down at another table for two. Our order was wrong from the start: we had ordered salmon, avocado and arugula with cream cheese. Instead, salmon and avocado arrived in a roll, tuna instead of salmon, and the cream cheese was missing from the arugula sushi. On the second attempt, the order was wrong again - the cream cheese was simply slapped carelessly on the arugula. The third time the cream cheese was missing again. An absolute disgrace!

When I pointed out that there was a rat running under our table, we were simply offered that we were welcome to make money and the rat was normalized. I've had better sushi

Great food, friendly service. Very tasty sushi. Cozy, modern atmosphere. Sushi Lo is easy to reach by public transport. For example, by bus to Neuer Pferdemarkt or by subway to Feldstraße. Lively ambience. Be sure to reserve, it's definitely worth it 😊

Everything was so good that the food tasted delicious as always. I've been there many times and it always impressed me. But today something happened that shocked me and we saw a mouse running under the tables, which I found very disgusting.

I love Asian and that's why the restaurant is so cool. There is sushi, soups, noodles, curry and delicious drinks. 🥰🏯

The ambience is appealing and beautifully designed. The prices for sushi are relatively cheap compared to other restaurants, but I think this is also reflected in the taste. The sushi isn't outstanding, but it's not bad either - rather average. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired: the staff didn't seem very friendly and seemed more like they were just there to get their work done.

We ate the best sushi here in a long time and at a very fair price! We particularly liked the fried sushi. But in general the fish was super fresh and melted in the mouth. We also thought it was great that tons of rice wasn't used to artificially make the rolls bigger - so you can taste the actual ingredients and not just eat mostly the rice. Plus, the service was incredibly friendly! We already know that this will be our new regular sushi restaurant... :)

Sushi Lô on the Schanze also offers vegan options, making it versatile. The waiting time is a little longer, so it's worth making a reservation in advance so you can eat in a relaxed manner.

If you order meat in a sushi shop, it's probably your own fault... Don't do it.

I love this place!! The atmosphere is very cozy and cool, the food takes a bit of time but it’s totally worth it because the flavors are amazing😮‍💨 there’s plenty of good vegetarian and vegan options. I also loved the strawberry lemonade if you’re looking for something very sweet🤩 It was my second time there and would definitely come back!!

We were there with 5 girls and found the sushi very tasty and inexpensive. The rolls weren't huge, but they were cheap for sushi. We paid around €80 for 5 people. There were also vegetarian options.

The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I organized a birthday dinner just a couple of days in advance, and everything went smoothly.

The service here is at a subpar level. When I asked for the teapot to be refilled, all I got instead of an answer was a giggle from the waitress and a comment that I should just order a new one (at full price, of course). The highly praised price-performance ratio here is made up of very small portions (sushi and nigiri). The eel on my unagi nigiri was tiny. The sushi does have a "reasonable" price, but there are only 5 pieces per serving. To add to my disappointment, the scallops on the "Scallop Tower" sushi I ordered were very thin. Presumably only a single scallop was used for every 5 pieces of sushi. It does not correspond at all to the pictures in the menu. Simply disappointing.

Overall the restaurant has gone down a lot. We were there at lunchtime today, there was really no one there. We wanted to put a chair at a table because we wanted to sit by the window, but we were denied that. We then left the store.

I got something from the lunch table Apart from the fact that the sushi tasted like it was from a discount store, the wasabi was missing and there was only 1 son of fish bottle of soy sauce... I definitely can't recommend it

Visited there as a big group and ordered the special sushi plate for three people and it was nice. The service was alright, though not all the waiters were equally friendly. The rice with fried chicken was also very tasty but I didn’t understand why it came with salad! Overall, I would rate it 4 stars to start with, but I plan to visit again and reassess.

Sushi Lo offers very tasty fresh food at moderate prices. There is something for every taste and by no means just sushi. The staff is friendly and very attentive! In front of the windows you can watch the colorful hustle and bustle on the shoulder blade 😉

My favorite affordable sushi spot in Hamburg. Their sushi is priced well and the rolls are delicious. May personal favorite is the Lachs Oshi (521). Or the crispy rice one!! Delicious. The service is also really good. I have walked in and ordered to go before as well with a 10min wait to get everything ready. Definitely a big recommendation from me.
