The pizza is okay, but nothing special. The bowling alley in the basement is very good. Unfortunately, they don't accept card payments, which is hard to understand. I wouldn't recommend this place, except for the bowling.

Since I only had pizza, I can't comment on the other dishes – but the pizza was good! And the value for money was excellent! The service was extremely friendly. I'll definitely go back!

Allergens are not properly labelled on the menu. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he didn't take the problem seriously. He said I should know that lasagna contains cheese (even though this was not indicated on the menu). I ended up not ordering anything.

The house wine is, in my opinion, the best in St. Pauli, unbeatable both in terms of taste and price. Personally, I almost always order the Calamari Fritti – crispy, fresh, and simply delicious. My wife likes to try the daily specials and has never been disappointed. The pizza is also an absolute highlight: thin crust, delicious ingredients, truly authentic. At the end of your meal, you almost always get a shot of schnapps on the house – a small touch that shows how hospitable the team is. Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars, absolutely deserved! I have to say, this restaurant is truly one of the few where you can still get authentic, traditional Italian food. The prices are very fair, and you can taste the quality of the food. The location is very central, right in the heart of the Schanze district. The outdoor area is particularly beautiful, perfect for romantic dates with an Italian flair. Bottom line: Definitely worth a visit!

Worse pizza I’ve had in a very long time, thick and uncooked, with dried basil from the supermarket on top. At the end we went to pay and they pretended it was not possible to pay with card, only cash, even though we saw people paying with card before and after. I don’t know how they have so many good reviews

I visited the restaurant for the first time today and was absolutely thrilled. The pizza was super crispy and prepared with love. The staff were polite, and the atmosphere was very cozy and authentic. I will definitely be back!! 😍

My boyfriend and I spontaneously sat down at this cute trattoria for lunch, and our expectations were exceeded :) There was a diverse selection of great Italian dishes, and we were particularly impressed by the lunch menu, as the prices for a main course on it are simply unbeatable. Before our meal, we were given a complimentary bread basket with delicious aioli without asking, and the food itself was just the right portion size and tasted absolutely delicious. The ambiance and service were also top-notch; I will definitely be back next time I'm in Hamburg :)

The food was delicious and came as ordered. The food looked a bit drab on the plates. A little love in the presentation would have helped. The ambiance seems worn. The service is neither courteous nor friendly. It's more like passive aggressive.

Price/quantity = good, price/taste = zero. #fail. We were there with about 20 people. Generally speaking, everything was okay. However, the food was consistently below average.

The atmosphere was very loud and not very comfortable unfortunately. The service was very nice and quick and I received the bruschetta and pizza I ordered a little later. Bruschetta 8/10! Pizza Diavolo 6/10! What is very important to know is that you can only pay in cash!! Unfortunately no card.

The food at Trattoria da Mario tastes good and is really great for the price. Of course, you shouldn't expect star cuisine for this, but a little more love in the preparation would still be desirable. Toilets are very clean! However, on our last visit the service was not what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. The waiters weren't exactly attentive either and unfortunately there were long waiting times.

Food was okay, unfortunately very loud music and staff slightly grumpy. No advance notice about “only cash” – a shame.

The worst and loveliest pizza I've ever eaten. We also rented the bowling alley, which didn't work properly (pins aren't counted and after 10 minutes there were no more balls). Staff quite annoyed. In addition, card payments are not possible for amounts over 200 euros. One star is still nice here.

Unfortunately the pizza didn't taste really good. The dough was not tasty and seemed like a ready-made dough mix. The cheese was just in the middle of the pizza. We were processed relatively quickly. We had to pay at the counter, although only cash payment was possible. Fairly priced, but otherwise unfortunately not that convincing.

If you have never been to Italy, you should pay a visit to this restaurant! From the fantastic Italian menu (I've rarely had better mussels in white wine sauce) to the authentic Italian waiters and a classic Italian as a chef, I would visit this restaurant again at any time! You can't get more Italy than that!

Unfortunately, the quality of the food was really poor and there was a lot of room for improvement in the service, which skillfully ignored the indications of allergies. Antipasti that were completely tastelessly boiled (?) instead of fried and were served collapsed and unsightly and were correspondingly tasteless. The completely overpriced risotto was also a disappointment in terms of taste. I couldn't finish it, the aftertaste was so strangely stale. The wine was also more of supermarket quality. Once and never again.

We quickly looked for a restaurant and ended up here. Actually everything is full but by chance there are six places available. All six ordered pizza and it was at the table within five minutes. Absolutely nothing special in terms of taste. The base was very thin and crispy, but burnt. No salt on the dough, some of the toppings were OK. The wine spritzer tastes like Ar... and Friedrich. The knives cut cold water and that also runs together again. The music is way too loud so all you can do is shout at each other. The kicker, however, was that a mouse was running through the restaurant. Definitely never this restaurant again

At some point we went to the counter to pay. -The pizzas are cheap for Hamburg: around €11-13 -Attention: NO CARD PAYMENT - this is really not possible these days!

I visited this Italian restaurant with high hopes, but I wish I could give it negative stars. The experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I ordered lasagna, but what I got was an inedible mess. It was flavourless and completely cold inside. The service was equally atrocious. Super rude staff and horrible service. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.

Forgot to check the Google rating first. Your own fault. Food and prices are okay, but the waiter doesn't work at all. I haven't experienced anything so unfriendly in a long time. Please note, you cannot pay by card here, but unfortunately you will only find out about this when you receive the bill.

BE AWARE in the late hours, as the waiters will OVERCHARGE you! You may find an additional item in the bill you didn’t ask for nor received and/or they will overcharge you on drinks - we’ve ordered 0,5l, received 0,33l and got charged for two 0,5l. When you pay the bill the waiters won’t give you the change unless you specifically ask for it. Don’t be ashamed to ask for!

The best pasta I've ever eaten!! Super nice and fast service, despite the European Championship game. Food was hot and the portion was great. The fish soup was also simply delicious. We'd love to come back! 😊

We were guests here last weekend (June 23, 2024), the occasion was a birthday. The cards were handed out, but no offer was made of an aperitif or a general drink recommendation, as I know from good Italians. The selection of starters met our taste. When we were clearing away we were not asked how we liked it, nor were we asked for or offered further drinks. The main course was very tasty, but nothing further was asked for. To finish we ordered tiramisu and crème caramel. After a few minutes our waitress announced that Crème Carmel was 86. This could have been known and communicated when ordering. Instead he offered me crème brûlée, which the menu listed as having mango sorbet. So in short, ordered and was happy, the cream was served with ice cream on top. It wasn't a ball like I expected, but rather resembled origami. I actually would have preferred a bullet. In addition, the sorbet was almost completely melted, which meant that the already thin sugar layer was completely soaked and the crunchy effect was unfortunately missing. We had an amount of around 130€ to pay. We were told only cash because the EC device was broken. Something like this should have been pointed out from the start, as the innkeeper cannot expect the guest to know in advance how much cash he will have to pocket for his visit. What would have happened if we hadn't had enough cash with us...? Conclusion for our visit: Delicious selection of food. Service can be optimized if desired, otherwise there are many other Italians in Hamburg and the surrounding area.

Bowling alley reserved, reservation was postponed on site and very unfriendly communication, no willingness to compromise. No alternatives were offered and the conversation was very disrespectful and not solution-oriented. Unfortunately never again.

Pizza and bowling until the doctor comes: it's actually not one of the restaurants that you would definitely recommend to friends, unless you want to go bowling with these friends. Then it's the perfect place to enjoy a decent pizza or pasta with a glass of wine at relatively affordable prices. An hour of bowling is also relatively fairly priced at 35 euros. We'll be back
