Poor service; we were left waiting for 20 minutes despite having a reservation. It took another 15 minutes to order drinks. The pizzas were tasty, but not as special as, for example, at Luigi's in the Portuguese Quarter.

We found this trattoria by chance in the red light district near the hotel and it was a great success! From the outside, their waitress Rita, who was wonderful, invited us in and promised us a delicious meal! And it was❤️❤️ The owners, also Italian chefs, do an exquisite job, and the price is good. We would definitely recommend it again.

I don't know how this restaurant gets such a high rating. My husband and I both had a steak (a whopping €25.90 each), if you could even call it that. It was the worst "steak" I've ever been served. I didn't finish it. It was completely overcooked (one wonders why), tough, and inedible. The person sitting next to us had the same problem and sent his "steak" back. We should have done the same... the steak he was served was considerably better. I can't understand how someone can have so little respect for their guests.

Incredibly amazing pizza, great service, and a truly great atmosphere. I came here based on the reviews and can only confirm that – for the price, it's amazing on the Reeperbahn in the heart of Hamburg! Thin crust, amazing toppings… that's how it should be.

Hello, we ate there on October 10, 2025. The egg broth was divine. The pasta was also delicious. It's small, but delicious. I assume it was the manager; she was very friendly and accommodating. My friend's salad had something in the plastic from a cap; it can happen sometimes, but it shouldn't. She didn't have to pay for the salad. It's worth eating there.

Good quality, and the staff is super nice! On four dishes that we got we really liked two of them, the other two were ok but not bad. I would be back when I will visit Hamburg again!

Absolutely delicious food in the charming atmosphere of a cute little italian restaurant. The waitress is a star and does everything on her own, from taking orders, delivering food, cleaning tables, answering the phone and handling payments. This is why it can take a moment to order or pay but the food makes up for it! Anytime again!

Delicious pizza served incredibly quickly. I ordered, and my red wine arrived after two minutes, followed by the pizza after another two. 😳 The fastest pizza of my life, and it was pretty good too! 👌🏻 The house red wine was also impressive. 👌🏻 Nice, rustic atmosphere. Definitely recommend it!

We had the "Carbonara," which should actually be called "Carbonara-style" on the menu, as it has little in common with a classic carbonara, and also a pizza. The pasta was unfortunately quite bland and lacked flavor. The pizza, on the other hand, was nothing to complain about – everything was excellent! The food arrived at our table within 10 minutes, despite the full house. A bit annoying, however, was that the portafilter was being tapped out almost every minute, which added to the already loud noise in the room.

On the positive side, I can say that the staff was friendly despite the extreme stress, and the prices were reasonable. We arrived with five people at 5:30 p.m. We got drinks at 5:40 p.m. and our food at 5:45 p.m. My pizza was dry, the pasta lacked flavor, and all five people were dissatisfied. Since we were sitting right by the entrance door, we noticed new guests arriving at 6:10 p.m., and even though the place was full, they were asked to wait with a stern look at our table. That's all it took to leave the place after just 45 minutes.

We stumbled upon this place quite by chance and had a very pleasant evening. It was very crowded and noisy, but that also made it cozy. Highly recommended.

Fast service. 30 minutes from arrival to finish. Standard pizza. The penne dishes were watery, and you had to search for the meat.

We were at Piceno yesterday. We chose the restaurant because it had such good reviews. So we wanted to reserve a table there. When we arrived, the place was very crowded. There were several large groups of guests. Accordingly, the noise level was incredibly unpleasant. We had to wait in the entrance area until the manager asked us if we had a reservation. You could tell right then that the manager was completely overworked. It was no wonder, since she was simultaneously serving, cashing, seating people, answering questions, etc. Eventually, we finally got a table, right in the hallway in front of the restroom. People kept having to walk past our table to get to the restroom, constantly brushing against our table. It wasn't very nice. For the food: we ordered bruschetta, a pizza, and grilled salmon. The bruschetta was okay. The pizza was terrible! The dough hadn't risen and was partially burnt. The pizza was floating with oil. The taste was also terrible. The salmon was good. The portion size was odd. The amount of salmon was adequate, but the salad served with it was pathetic. It was more of a side dish consisting of some iceberg lettuce, a slice of tomato, and three arugula leaves with onions. Conclusion: I wouldn't go back. I hope things improve when the place isn't so crowded.

A typical Italian restaurant, just as you'd expect in Italy. No frills, just good food. The restaurant isn't particularly large, so I'd make a reservation here on the weekend. The prices are still reasonable. Everything just gets a bit more expensive. Right on a side street in St. Pauli. I can recommend it to everyone.

By far the best Italian restaurant in St. Pauli, and actually the best I've been to in general. We went twice in one week and would have gone more often if we could. The spaghetti carbonara and tonno were absolutely delicious, and I don't even need to start with the pizza; it's a must-try when in St. Pauli. You don't have to wait long for your food, and the service is super friendly. A huge thank you to all the staff! ❤️🤍💚

We happened upon Piceno yesterday by chance. When we asked if we could get a table for two, we got one. We hadn't made a reservation, but I think you should do that on the weekend. We started with bruschetta, which was absolutely delicious. Then spaghetti arrabiata (very tasty) and lasagna (excellent), and for dessert, the homemade tiramisu (amazing). The service was very nice and friendly, and always attentive. We can highly recommend this restaurant. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Hamburg. Our verdict: a truly fantastic Italian restaurant!

I had one of the most delicious spaghetti carbonaras I've ever eaten. The restaurant was very clean and had a well-coordinated and friendly staff. The two of us ate at Piceno and both ordered starters and main courses, along with two drinks each. Everything arrived promptly, not too late but also not too early, even though the restaurant was busy :) I'll definitely be back. See you soon

Another update: Even after more than a year and a half, everything is being done to eliminate negative reviews. I had to justify myself again, and the review was temporarily taken offline, even though I had already provided proof last time that I had actually been there. So, they're determined. Update: Attention! After you leave a negative review because of a negative visit, they brazenly claim you never went. I've uploaded the receipt. We ate there the day before yesterday. Unfortunately, they didn't have draft beer, as we were informed a few minutes after ordering. The starter (ham with melon), which was listed on the board in the shop, was also unfortunately not available. The offer was not removed even after we pointed it out. The pizza and pasta were delicious. Unfortunately, the apple spritzer didn't have any fizz, which wasn't noted on the menu. The heating was set to level 5, but it was extremely cold. I asked for the heating to be turned on. The waiter told them this was done. Unfortunately, the heating remained off until we left... Well, we won't be going back there again.

We landed here spontaneously today and were very happy with our visit. We were served very nicely and had a great stay here. We all really enjoyed the pasta dishes and we can definitely recommend this restaurant.

We called and reserved a table but it was so full and the waitress didn't pay attention to us at all, it was Saturday and only one person was there as a service craft we waited almost an hour and when I just asked her when we would have our food ( very friendly ) she shouted at me that, after one hour we received a pizza same as pizzas we can buy from Aldi freezer.

You get a lot out of the possibilities. But it's almost too "comfortable" because someone is constantly scurrying or bumping into your food. Didn't dampen our mood. Despite the location and the current situation, the price was still completely reasonable.

A piece of Italy – simply fantastic! This restaurant is an absolute insider tip! From the first second you feel warmly welcome. The service is attentive, friendly and conveys true Italian hospitality. The food? Simply sensational! The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauces tasted to die for, and the pizza had the best crust I've ever tasted. The desserts, especially the tiramisu, were also a highlight. The wine list is excellently coordinated and the staff's recommendations go perfectly with the dishes. The attention to detail is worked here, which you can taste in every bite. A restaurant that you definitely have to visit - it was an evening that was completely enjoyable. Mille Grazie!

Unfortunately, the service is catastrophic, for the second time we had to wait in the entrance area for over half an hour despite having a reservation without even being noticed. Then people behind us, who told us they didn't have a reservation, got a table in front of us. It took another 30 minutes at the table before someone came to take the drinks. The food was good, but in my opinion not worth the long wait. If we had been told a later time when we made the reservation, it would have been better, but unfortunately the second visit was just as disappointing as the first, which was the same.

After visiting the cathedral, my daughter spontaneously ate one of the best, delicious pizzas ever. We just gave it a try without a reservation, but had to wait a while until we got a table because of the heavy customer traffic. From then on everything went pretty quickly, from the order to the drinks to the pizzas, it only took a few minutes. As I said, the result was great. In addition, the service was really nice and personable. We felt really comfortable, were able to feast and had a good time here 😊 We will definitely eat here again as soon as we are near Hamburg again.
