Really cute little restaurant with really great staff. The food is also very tasty. We were happy guests.

Unfortunately, the service is catastrophic, for the second time we had to wait in the entrance area for over half an hour despite having a reservation without even being noticed. Then people behind us, who told us they didn't have a reservation, got a table in front of us. It took another 30 minutes at the table before someone came to take the drinks. The food was good, but in my opinion not worth the long wait. If we had been told a later time when we made the reservation, it would have been better, but unfortunately the second visit was just as disappointing as the first, which was the same.

After visiting the cathedral, my daughter spontaneously ate one of the best, delicious pizzas ever. We just gave it a try without a reservation, but had to wait a while until we got a table because of the heavy customer traffic. From then on everything went pretty quickly, from the order to the drinks to the pizzas, it only took a few minutes. As I said, the result was great. In addition, the service was really nice and personable. We felt really comfortable, were able to feast and had a good time here 😊 We will definitely eat here again as soon as we are near Hamburg again. Thank you for the great hospitality despite the many guests 👍

Small, authentic Italian restaurant on a side street off the Reeperbahn. We stopped by more or less by chance and went in because of the good reviews. We spontaneously got a table for two and despite the full house and stress, the boss (I assume it was her) was very nice and radiated warmth. Small deduction in the B grade for the ambience: It was very bright at the table. Otherwise recommended for simply delicious Italian cuisine without any frills.

A traditional family business that puts a lot of passion into making its guests full and happy. The service was super friendly and quick. The pizza is crispy and the side salads are crunchy. Plus a delicious house wine. And finally a tartuffo and a chocolate souffle. Tutti perfetto!

Bewirtung und Essen waren wirklich gut. Allerdings habe ich kein gutes Gefühl wenn die Rechnung nicht ausgedruckt werden kann und ich entweder darauf vertraue oder es aus der Karte nachrechnen muß. Da wir eingeladen waren habe ich mich zurück genommen. Aber die Endsumme kam mir doch etwas zu hoch vor.

The homemade tiramisu was extremely tasty. Food came very quickly. Outdoor dining is available directly in front of the restaurant on the street.

A small restaurant on a side street from the Reeperbahn. Special requests are taken into account, sometimes very hectic in the store due to the large number of people, but always friendly and warm!!! I love my spaghetti carbonara ❤️

The hammer!!! There were eleven of us and we were absolutely thrilled! The food was brilliant and the service was extremely friendly and motivated!

Pasta and starter were great. The tiramisu was unfortunately watery, just like the soup that came as a starter. It's a shame.

"Special praise" - even though the neighborhood was overcrowded due to the European Championships and there were a lot of spontaneous guests at the door, our reservation was kept almost on time. That was “high-performance sport” from the service and kitchen! Tasty, as always and friendly, as usual - despite the circumstances. European champion! :)

Stefano cooks with the Amore of Italy and all the dishes we tried taste just as delicious. The best bruschetta north of Italy! I don't need anything else! The carbonara is also freshly prepared with egg and bacon, as it should be in the original! No wonder the restaurant is always busy. So it's best to reserve in advance! Nice authentic restaurant, rather small on the inside, very friendly staff. The food is very tasty, although of course you can argue about whether a carbonara should be made with cream or not. We liked the homemade tiramisu.

Definitely worth recommending! We ate at Piceno before our visit to “Dance of the Vampires” and would love to come back. The food was delicious, you felt like you were in an Italian family and the service was super friendly and attentive. Following a recommendation, we spontaneously went to this restaurant last night. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we got a spot. The restaurant is authentic Italian. The operators are great, the food is delicious, the rooms are special but comfortable. We will come back after one or two Saint Pauli games.

Hidden insider tip for everyone who wants to have a good, authentic Italian meal in a family atmosphere. We found the restaurant by chance and the taste and quality are top! The service is very nice and you immediately feel welcomed like an Italian family. The ambience is a bit dark and the wax tablecloths etc. are a bit old-fashioned, but the food is even better. Definitely recommended!

Addition: And now they're trying to get a lawyer to remove our reviews instead of admitting that things didn't go well that evening. I was there with Franziska and would like to add that I found it very strange that the waiter didn't know that there was no draft beer and no melon. You don't let the guests choose and then disappoint them like that. And the fact that there wasn't even an offer of any goodies, such as dessert, as compensation also showed indifference. It's very nice that you want to invite us now, but none of us live in Hamburg and we wanted to have a nice evening recently.

Update: Attention! After you leave a non-positive review due to a non-positive visit there, people brazenly claim that you have never been there. I uploaded the invoice receipt. We had dinner there the day before yesterday. Unfortunately there was no draft beer, as we were told a few minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, the starter (ham with melon) that was on the board in the shop wasn't available either. The offer was not brushed off even after we pointed it out. The pizza and pasta were delicious. Unfortunately, the apple spritzer didn't have any fizz, which wasn't noted on the menu. The heating was turned to level 5, but it was super cold. I asked for the heating to be turned on. According to the waiter, this should be done. Unfortunately, the heating stayed off until we left… Well, we won't be going back there again.

I have rarely eaten such good spaghetti with seafood! The pizza was also great!

Nein, der Abend war ein absoluter Reinfall. Das Personal schien völlig überfordert zu sein. Als wir endlich die Bestellung aufgeben konnten, dauerte es anderthalb Stunden, bis wir - erst auf erneute Anfrage - endlich wenigstens die Bruschetta bekamen. Dann nochmal warten warten warten bis das Hauptgericht nach 2 Stunden kam. Das ist der Hauptgrund für die Bewertung mit einem Stern. Doch auch das Essen riss es nicht raus ... der Hunger treibt es rein, sagt man.

Nach wie vor eine nette kleine Oase auf dem Kiez. Leider waren weder Service noch das Essen zum Niederknien. Lange Wartezeiten, alle Essen kamen nacheinander, sodass der erste bereits aufgegessen hatte, als der letzte das Essen bekam. Essen war okay, aber auch nicht mehr. Insgesamt aber ein freundlicher Laden mit guter Ausstrahlung.

Tolles kleines italienisches Restaurant. Lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen und dazu noch so nett und liebevoll bedient worden. Auch das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es nur jedem weiter empfehlen. Trotz spontanem Besuch haben wir nach kurzer Wartezeit einen Tisch bekommen. Vorher reservieren würde sich anbieten aber kein Muss. Direkt an der Reeperbahn, urig, eng, super nette Gastgeber. Die Pizza war super lecker. Obwohl es sehr voll war, ging alles flott.

Wir haben um 15:30 Uhr ein Tisch für 8 Personen reserviert und bekamen auch Bestätigung. Aber die Restaurant ist eigentlich um 16 Uhr auf, trotzdem sind die Personalen 15:30 Uhr reingekommen und haben die Stühle vom Tisch auf Boden hinstellen, ohne Tisch abwischen. Sie begleiten uns an Tisch, die Tisch ist ganz nah WC und riehen nach WC. Wir haben andere Lokal entschieden und gegangen.

Ohne Reservierung muss man sich auf eine Wartezeit einstellen. Es war sehr viel los. Dennoch hat es sich gelohnt geschmacklich war es der beste Italiener bei dem ich seit langem war. Auch wenn es sehr voll war, hatten wir sehr schnell unser Essen.

Essen und Service war sehr gut. Es ist ein sehr kleines Lokal und ein Kommen und Gehen, daher leider etwas unruhig. Aber wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierher.

Wir hatten leider keinen Tisch reserviert und mussten deshalb 10 Minuten warten. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Man hat sein Essen schnell bekommen und es war super lecker und frisch zubereitet. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ein schönes Lokal mit super Essen, sehr schönes Ambiente und sehr nettem und witzigem Personal. Das kann man nur empfehlen.

Vor Jahren mal per Zufall auf das Restaurant gestoßen und seitdem bei jedem Hamburg-Besuch ein Muss. Das Ambiente ist urig und die Inhaber sehr lieb. Das Restaurant ist an der Reeperbahn gelegen in einer Seitenstraße also in einer super Lage. Sowohl in kleineren Gruppen als auch in einer großen Gruppe von über 20 Leuten hat immer alles reibungslos geklappt und es hat immer super geschmeckt.

A forgettable experience. We ordered beer only to find out that beer was unavailable. We ordered the prosciutto and melon (listed at the top of the chalkboard) only to find out that was not available. I kept my order to a bare minimum after that. We were offered dessert, but I opted to go somewhere reliable (McDonalds, just around the corner). We travelled a fair distance with the hope of having a pleasant evening dining with family. The dining experience was below par. We will not be going back seeing as there are plenty of businesses that provide quality of service and actually make an effort.

Das Essen war wirklich köstlich. Die Pasta war al dente und die Pizza hatte eine perfekte Kruste. Der Service war auch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war gemütlich und einladend. Ich kann dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Das italienische Restaurant PICENO in der Hein-Hoyer-Str. 8 ist ein bodenständiges Restaurant. Ich habe eine leckere Tomatensuppe und die Vorspeise Vitello Tonato auf meinen Wunsch ohne Kapern bestellt, beide Gerichte haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Serviceteam war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Ein kleiner, einfacher Italiener in einer Seitenstrasse auf dem Kiez. Wir hatten beide eine Pizza, die war genauso wie sie sein sollte und lecker. Der offene Weisswein war genau richtig. Der Service flink und freundlich - vielen Dank Maria. Vor dem nächsten Theaterbesuch kommen wir vorher wieder zu Euch!
