Sucos Do Brasil in Düsseldorf

The drinks were very good, but the food wasn't so good.

I only gave it one star because there's no other option. Many years ago, you could eat delicious food at this restaurant, but after the owner passed it on, ordering food at Sucos do Brasil is a waste of money. I'm Brazilian, I know how to cook, and I know when a feijoada is foaming white and smelling sour – it's spoiled. Many years ago, we invited a friend for lunch there and were disappointed and had to pay because the waiter said that's just how feijoada is. Something that doesn't happen in any restaurant in Germany. Several years later, we took other friends, and in the fish moqueca dish, there was a piece of paper with the price of the fish peeling off – it's a shame that back then there wasn't the option to take a picture and show it on Google. Today, after another eight years, I was invited to dinner there, and the fish moqueca only tasted of salt and vinegar. I've never eaten anywhere here in Germany, or even in many places in Brazil, that was so bad. Never again. I am making the most sincere criticism because it is a disgrace to our Brazilian cuisine.

I've visited several Brazilian restaurants, and this one definitely serves authentic Brazilian food! Whenever I miss Brazil, this is my number one spot! Great staff and a relaxed atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! 🇧🇷❤️

The menu needs to be revised. Too many dishes with beef and only 1 with chicken! Prices are inflated. I was really missing eating pastel (a type of Brazilian fried pastry) and I was disappointed because it was way too greasy. Pure oil.

I hadn't been here for a while, but I stopped by again at the new location (which seems to have been here longer). Not much has changed – many familiar faces among the staff, the food as good as ever, the owner is simply fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. I'll gladly come back.

The caipirinha (lemon cocktail) was truly delicious! The food was also well-prepared and surprising for me, as I was new to Brazilian cuisine. But...definitely worth repeating! Friendly service, atmospheric music in the background, and affordable. Highly recommended.

I've known SdB since 1987... now it's in a new location... good again now, drinks good, service good, food satisfactory to good, atmosphere good.

We were a group of 30 people on the 2nd floor that was totally empty..we waited quite long time to get food which was average quality. The waiter was really NOT polite when serving, getting easily nervous with people..we also had to tell him to calm down...we should have been complaining for delay instead...

Yes, the location is okay, the service is nice. Now let's get to the main thing. I'll take the food, yes, it was rather mediocre, so it's great, it's something else. Then you ordered a steak and got some kind of schnitzel with some kind of cheese on it. Maybe the steak was for Brazilian food, but overall the food wasn't that great. My friend's place was the same. They're not doing so well either. You can eat, but you don't go out to eat for no reason, so there's still a lot of room for improvement.

Very good service and delicious food

I went with a friend and, unfortunately, the food was terrible. The feijoada was watery, the juice was basically water—we couldn't even drink it. I don't recommend it. My friend's passion fruit juice came with seeds, and the waiter even asked why we didn't order it seedless, even though there was no information about that. The farofa was terrible and had an unpleasant smell. The açaí juice tasted only like banana.

Terrible experience, no words - just terrible. No clue why they are trying to remove my Post - once more, the brunette aggressive bartender/waiter was hostile and shouting at us and other customers - we do NOT recommend this place.

The tall server/barmen with dark hair making the cocktails behind the bar acted very hostile And agressieve towards us and was furious when we said that he charged us too much for the cocktails. His actions were unstable and disproprotionate to what was happening, go work on your anger management buddy before working at a restaurant. Who would shout at their customers like that - SOME RESPECT PLEASE AND HUMAN DECENCY. He is lucky we paid at all.

If there were 0 stars that's what I would give. There used to work (not sure if he is still there) a terribly agressive barman. We ordered food and firstly it tasted like microwave food (have eaten there several times and each time it's a dissapointment). Putting that aside I ordered a cocktail during happy hour with my friend, not only did they charge us the normal price but the barmen was literally shouting at us in front of everyone because I said that the price is wrong. Have never been treated so horribly at a restaurant, he should get fired. I'm a lawyer and he is lucky I did not sue him. A nightmare, never going there again. Spare yourself the trip there!

The Barmen who was working there in 2018 with short shaved black hair - absolutely hostile and aggressive shouting and yelling at customers!? Should get fired. Work on your anger management! We basically paid for an evening to be yelled at, lucky we even paid - should've just walked out of there. Rudest staff ever.

I went to this restaurant with a German friend this weekend. I expected much more because usually the Brazilian restaurants we have in Berlin are always so good and cozy. However, I didn't like the service. The waitress was rude because we got a menu that seemed to be for more people. The food wasn't good. We ordered feijoada, the beans were hard, the broth was pure water. They must make the feijoada on the spot by putting the beans on the meat. This isn't feijoada, it's black beans. It seemed like there was no seasoning. The caipirinha was good. The atmosphere is big and spacious. It would have everything to be a great place to spend the weekends, but I didn't like it. I won't be back. I hope this city has more of Brazil.

The ambiance and atmosphere were great. They also had delicious cocktails, but the service seemed a bit overwhelmed on this Friday evening. I had the burger, which tasted as good as it looked. Nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the fries that came with it were noticeably overcooked. But where there's a saw, there's a saw. All in all, we enjoyed it so much that we'd gladly come back.

My wife, Aline from Brazil, has her birthday today. After a shopping trip through Düsseldorf, I went to Sucos on a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, the food was very salty. But the waitress paid for the drinks plus two tap waters. It's a shame, because everything was very praiseworthy. My wife was sad.

Yes, very good, authentic food, and the Caipirinha tastes amazing! Verdict from a true Brazilian! We also tried other cocktails! GRADE 1. Highly recommended!

I'm Brazilian and I've been to many Brazilian restaurants in several cities and countries. This restaurant should not sell food, because anyone who cooks knows that the food is old and poorly made (feijoada and rice). The worst restaurant I've ever been in my life. I'll never come back.

Sabroso y diferente un rte atipico para comer y tomar coctails y ademas con musica en directo. Los precios son razonables y la comida sorprendentemente rica. Muy recomendable en plan informal por salir de las taberbas habituales.

Ein echtes authentisches brasilianisches Restaurant. Superschöne Location mit viel Platz im Restaurant und im Freien. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Auch unsere Bedienung war an Freundlichkeit und Zuverlässigkeit nicht zu überbieten. Und obendrein gibt es in der 1. Etage noch einen kleinen aber feinen brasilianischen Supermarkt.

It's probably focused more on drinks and fun/dancing than food. The food we tried was below our expectations and its cost (we ordered two different beef steaks, both of which were rather small and the meat was rather hard).

I'm Brazilian. I ordered a feijoada and I didn't like it. I don't recommend it.

The appetizer plate is quite large as described on the menu, so the obvious conclusion is that you should share it with others in your party. Then it arrives at our table and we assume something's wrong, as there's only one small piece of sausage and one heart of palm, along with a hugeee salad (not in the plates description) and some other items (as per description). If you order the plate individually it's fine, but if you're sharing even with just one other person the quantities don't work. When we pointed it out to the waiter, their response was "it is what it is". The manager said the same. The place looks nice, but I cannot stand for poor service anywhere. I am never coming back here and I make a point of diverting others from coming too, unfortunately. Düsseldorf needs a better Brazilian restaurant.

Unfortunately the food is just bad. Burger was dry and the meat was tough. Unfortunately, the meat in the beef pan was tough and the sauce was so salty that the dish couldn't be eaten. The virgin colada was also super watery and just tasted like milk with ice cream. It's a shame, the service was good and the atmosphere was nice

The worst food store I've ever visited (the biggest scam in terms of price and size!). Had a company Christmas party there (2 days ago in the evening), the waitress recommended the grill plate for 5 people (!!!), €26 per person! That makes a total of €130. We ordered 4 of them, we thought they would be enough for 16 people, we thought wrong! The plates that were put on the table seemed strange to me, very small ones like for a side salad. The grill plate for supposedly 5 (!!!) people is the biggest joke, but is for a maximum of 2 people. Then we ordered another one, but it still wasn't enough. The waitress who served us was friendly and tried to do her job well, another waitress could tell that she didn't feel like smiling (smiling is a foreign concept to her). Guys, if you want to eat, save your money, cocktails and live music were okay . Next company party is better at a Chinese restaurant (buffet style) or at a Greek restaurant, here Apollo platter for 4 people 120€ (we would never have managed 5 of them, never). Disappointed with this rip off, not just me, everyone.

Es war ein Gaumensschmaus und hier kann ich von 7 Personen nur eine glatte 5 von 5 als Bewertung geben. Preis/Leistung ist sehr gut. Delicious food with a very Brazilian seasoning and a taste of garlic. The price isn't the cheapest, but it's worth it to satisfy the nostalgia. I've already eaten Escondidinho, moqueca and ordered coxinha and kibbeh too. They are very good, but prepare your booolso!

In the old town of Düsseldorf you can reach it by subway, just a short walk. In the upper area, every guest has a full insight into the kitchen and spices. Alkes was very clean and comfortable seating, especially in the upper area. Prices are middle-class.

Excellent location, especially for learning salsa

The new place is super spacious, organized, very beautiful. I was treated very well by my colleagues. There would be a party there that day too. It was a Friday and it was great. The food was delicious and so was the drink. We ordered shrimp bobó, roast beef and pastries too. Everything was delicious and well served. Afterwards we went dancing a little because we were very excited. It was great to visit the new location. I do advise you to visit. Oh! And there is a small shop selling Brazilian products.

Arrive, wait 20 minutes to be served, and at the time they have not brought the food... You judge, a lot of local and only two waiters but there were 4 tables...

It will be a cost-effective evening since you won't be served anyway and can drive back without a drink.

Die Sterne gelten dem schnellen, aufmerksamen und netten Personal sowie der hausgemachten Salsa und dem Skol-Bier, das es gab. Das Essen war leider, abgesehen von der scharfen, hausgemachten Sauce, wenig brasilianisch. Vielleicht war es auch unsere Auswahl, die es so gewöhnlich und Deutsch hat schmecken lassen. Schade-Marmelade.

Lack of professionalism and security education. Before coming here to make this criticism, I tried to contact the owner of the establishment numerous times, but I was ignored. I was a loyal customer and cleaned some flaws several times because I know the attendants and many people who frequent the Suco. More than a month ago I received a Hausverbot from the security guard for no reason and I was still treated very badly by him who has no professionalism and much less education or respect for women. One Friday, after the live music ended, my friend and I exchanged our glass cup for a plastic cup and left the establishment. In front of the exit door I put the glass on the table to open my bag and get my cell phone, this was enough for the security guard to come out shouting at me with a lot of lack of respect and informing me that I couldn't stay there. I said that I didn't mean to stay there, that I was just taking my cell phone and that we were already leaving, but that he could have been more polite. We left the door of Sucos and went a few meters to the side to decide where we would go. Once again the security guard at the door returned, shouting and saying that we had to leave immediately because our glass was “to go” and not to be left standing on the street and that if we didn't leave immediately he would give us a Hausverbot. I didn't understand his argument and asked for explanations. The security guard went inside the establishment and we left believing we had not received a Hausverbot which was never officially informed to me. Only after a week do I discover that I have Hausverbot. 8 years of being a loyal customer of this establishment to be treated this way. I tried more than once to contact the owner to report what happened privately and was ignored, very sad, I expected more...

I went to that place for many years, I've been a customer since 2009, I've never had any problems, in fact, a rotten chicken there, a spoiled salad, they didn't stop me from going to the place, because that was where I met my friends and acquaintances, but For some time now, things have been changing, there is a very rude security guard with no respect for Customers, who shouts, swears, attacks and expels people from the place without having done anything, (the victims of this are the majority of sometimes, WOMEN) and those responsible for the establishment don't give us the slightest importance, they treat us as if we were asking for alms (ATTENTION: complaints are not well accepted at the place). The last time I was there, I was brutally attacked by the Security Guard without me having done absolutely anything against him, claiming a Hausverboten that he hadn't even given me, (I did a body and crime exam, the B.O. is done, the Security Guard hurt my face, my stomach, my finger and I still have pain in my neck) the owner of the establishment did not speak out, it is sad that someone would open a bar for Brazilians to use the name of our country to make money and not value their Brazilian customers.
