I haven't eaten this good in a long time. Super tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced.

We recently visited Baan Thai on Berger Straße in Düsseldorf and had a wonderful evening. For starters, we had vegetarian spring rolls that were perfectly crispy and deliciously seasoned. For main courses, we tried various duck dishes from the menu, which were outstanding both in taste and presentation. The flavors were finely balanced, and the quality of the ingredients was impressive. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was pleasant and inviting. Overall, a clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine! We will definitely be back.

Buy the sate a bit expensive but if you order the right thing it is delicious and worth it

We had the appetizer for 2 people and a couple beers, the food was delicious, I would love to try more of their menu.

The food is great, always freshly prepared, and tastes delicious. I always enjoy coming here. The service is very friendly and the team is very helpful. I'm very satisfied with everything.

In my opinion, these dishes were too spicy for Thai food, as the spiciness overpowered the typical Thai flavors. I also found it odd that we were provided with European cutlery and had to ask for chopsticks – I'm more used to the opposite in Asian restaurants. Aside from the excessive spiciness, the food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service attentive.

Beautifully decorated and such a great vibe! The food really delivered, I had the spring rolls and tried Pad Thai for the first time, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The staff felt a bit off; they kept coming to our table while we were still deciding, which felt a little rushed. But overall, it was a nice experience and worth a visit!

Best Thai food I have ever tasted in Europe. The food was made really fast and was served in an instant. The food is authentic, fresh, and extremely flavorful. And as a Thai person who hasn't eaten much besides bread, this was a much needed break from the food in Germany. I highly recommend the SomTam if you are looking for something refreshing, and the TomYam if you want something spicy. The workers are extremely friendly though I could tell they weren't fluent in German and were more eager to serve in silence. They also cleared our dishes quick when we asked them to.

The food is tasty and suits my personal preferences. Of course, it's not exactly like being in Thailand – I've been there and experienced the authentic flavors, so I can tell the difference – but the dishes here are still very enjoyable. The spices are balanced, and the presentation is quite nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. The place is clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. I do think the prices are a bit on the higher side for the portion size, especially when it comes to the amount of meat – a little more would be appreciated. That said, the flavor makes up for it, and I would consider coming back again because it really matches my taste.

More show than substance. Looks great. Clean. Tidy. Food: generous menu, special requests no problem. Portion size: rather limited. Taste: okay... sachet of gravy, a few peppercorns added. That's it. My wife: fried rice... taste: nothing special. Okay... dessert should make up for it. Too bad: sweet sticky rice was salty, a bit of coconut sauce on top... canned mango on the side. Sorry. All in all: no repeat. Too bad.

I love this restaurant and have been a loyal customer for years. I've never been disappointed here and I'm always happy to return. However, I'd like to make a small but important constructive comment here, which I've experienced several times. When we ask for the bill, the woman – presumably a middle-aged family member – regularly comes to the table with just a white sheet of paper and a pen and simply writes down the total amount by hand. We are then expected to pay this amount directly in cash or by card. We find this extremely unpleasant every time, because when it comes to the bill, we want to be able to see exactly what we consumed, how the individual items were calculated, and how the final amount is calculated. It's tedious to have to ask for a proper receipt or a complete bill every time and then wait for it. In a professional establishment, it should be a given that the bill is brought directly to the table in full and transparently, without the guest having to specifically request it. In many other countries, this kind of procedure, involving handwritten amounts on blank paper, would be completely unusual and not in keeping with the professional standards of an otherwise excellent restaurant. Therefore, I would like to expressly note this as well-intentioned feedback. I hope this comment will be received positively and that this process will improve in the future.

On a cold, rainy day, this place appeared in front of us out of nowhere, and as an oasis to warm out shivering souls. We barged into it without any reservation and got treated to probably the best Thai food on the continent. Cooked steaming fresh, and to Thai flavorful perfection, it is a place that should not be missed. The tastes lingers on ones tongue even days after the experience. A high praise, given that it comes from someone who has tasted the cuisine in the Thai land probably a dozen times.

We spontaneously visited this restaurant at lunchtime. We sat outside because of the nice weather. The staff is very polite and attentive. The lunch menu for €13.50 is highly recommended. I opted for the chicken soup with coconut milk and sweet and sour duck. It was delicious. And for dessert, there was a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream. We'd be happy to come back.

I traveled extensively in Thailand and this was very underwhelming. Lacked authentic flavor. Friendly service.

The best Thai food in Germany !

We can only recommend this restaurant, very tasty food, both the starters and the main courses were very good and super tasty, very good and friendly, courteous service, nice rooms.

Das Essen ist nicht sehr besonders und nicht so schön angerichtet. Vor allem verstehe ich die Cocktailkirsche und die Dosenananas nicht. Das ältere weibliche Personal war nicht gerade freundlich. Außenbestuhlung direkt in der Fußgängerzone und etwas ungemütlich.

Nothing like that has happened to us yet. Went there for lunch on Friday. Good selection, a good price and really VERY tasty food and friendly service. BUT... we barely made it home with stomach pains and bloating on the way and a long uncomfortable session at home in the quiet place. I was there with my son and we had completely different food and didn't try each other's. And still both have the same problem after eating. Spoiled or very excessive use of flavor enhancers and additives? We won't test it again because it was really unpleasant.

We went there for dinner. The food was not authentic, Thai curry was watery and the meat was so less, not worth the money. The staff was very rude and intimidating, they served the food without saying a word and with such rudeness. The moment we were done eating, they took the plate away as if they were happy to get rid of you. We didn't feel welcome in this place, not to mention that the taste of the food is similar to a take away snack. The atmosphere was nice though but that's it. Never again!

Were regular guests on site at least once a week. The food is 99% very good (sometimes not so great) but unfortunately the service is always not that special. Unfortunately, one thing remains in my memory and was no longer there afterwards. I went outside to smoke and my wife met me in the bar, they came running after me wildly and loudly saying that I hadn't been paid. Absolutely disgraceful

Great Thai place with correct polite service and good food. I had the Green curry, very nice and just about right on the spicyness. Fried banana balls for dessert, not too sweet. Much to choose from in the menu!

Went for lunch, price of the menu is actually low, unfortunately such is the quality of food (maybe we were unlucky though). Rudeness of the staff is something else though, not a “hello”, “thank you”, or any whatsoever form of courtesy. Only positive note, the silent and quite atmosphere.

Vorwerk: The food is excellent.!!!!! However, the service is a total disaster: we ordered the main course drink (cocktail) and straight away the dessert. Banish sticky rice and dessert that takes 20-30 minutes. The waitress said OK: It is noted: She asked about the main course. Now for dessert? We said yes. And each ordered a cocktail. Note the wrong one. I brought it up and also because of the politeness. I It's okay... Then she asked again if we wanted dessert. We said yes. . With the note it takes 20-30 minutes. You: yes After a short time we got a banana/glutinous rice.. We thought.. The rest will come soon. After 30 minutes they wanted to clear our table. We said: We'll actually get something else. People looked at us blankly. And asked us three times if they should do it now. Our answer every time was no! At this point we were on edge. There was no apology or anything. We then got up mad and paid. 76.30 € when we understood while waiting that we weren't giving tips. She apologized for the long wait. Then we politely expressed our displeasure. Waited unnecessarily for 40 minutes for something to be ordered and didn't get a response from them that was just a shrug of the shoulders Conclusion 2 people who came from Mönchengladbach are totally frustrated when they go home! Very unfortunate.

We really enjoyed the Vietnamese food – it was super tasty! The starters also tasted good, but were a bit too greasy. The service was friendly and quick, and we really liked the ambience.

We spontaneously ate here for the first time today. We didn't have a reservation. We were not greeted with typical Thai hospitality. The food arrived lukewarm. A dish should be particularly spicy. Unfortunately this was not the case. Chilli was brought later. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. There are much better Thai restaurants.

Nach 84 Thailand Reisen kann ich beurteilen das es in diesem Restaurant wirklich gutes und thailändisches Essen gibt. Das Ambiente ist altbacken und ist wirklich überholt und kann mal modernisiert werden. Aber mein Hauptanliegen ist authentisches Thai Essen. Wer das Essen in diesem Restaurant schlecht bewertet, soll besser zum Chinesen gehen. Auch wer überschwängliches Chi Chi sucht geht besser zum Italiener.

Der Service war großartig und das Essen fabelhaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich.

The Baan Thai impresses with a very tasty Tom Kha Gai - absolutely recommended! The service is friendly and attentive, and the shop itself has a cozy atmosphere. Particularly interesting: One area can only be entered without shoes, which gives the whole thing an authentic flair (with the occasional cheese foot effect from the person sitting next to you). The Thai iced tea is a matter of taste and takes some getting used to. All in all, a great experience that I can happily recommend.

It looks funny inside, but we didn't think the food tasted authentic Thai at all. More of a classic German wok. Not really friendly staff either. I would skip this place.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Enorme keuze op de kaart. Het was erg druk wat het ook erg gezellig maakt. Alleen jammer dat het personeel erg gehaast is, je kan amper je drankje opdrinken of ze hebben al 3x gevraagd om de bestelling op te nemen wat ook binnen mum van tijd voor je neus staat.

After the restaurant was highly praised, we stopped by there. So we can't really share the great reviews. We were assigned a table, we were just about to take off our jackets - there was already a lady behind us who wanted to get rid of her menus. I support myself on the table to get behind the very narrow chairs - the whole table started to wobble, my observation showed that it wasn't the only one. After studying the extensive menu, the order was placed and came very quickly...everything kept warm? The taste didn't blow us away. You can certainly go there to dine, but it's not that great there.

We went there for lunch for the first time because the lunch specials appealed to us. For €12.90 you can choose from three different starters, a main course and a dessert. The price is great and you get a little insight into Thai cuisine.

Our first time eating here, and I think last time too...I'm a fan of Thai food. I always went to different Thai restaurants with friends because we also come from an Asian country. Today I was very disappointed with the behavior of an old Thai waitress 🙁 From the beginning she was very unfriendly with us (no greeting, with German customers yes 😕). She brings food for us and doesn't say anything about it (she said to other German customers "you liked it", but to us there was nothing). When I mentioned complaints about a salad with another waiter, she immediately came to me in an unfriendly mood and said "from the beginning, if you don't like it, I have to say..." and then she left 🙁 Later my friend wanted to pay with cash and she was still doing the math, she put her money on the table, but this old waitress just took €60 on the table without saying anything. She's also not allowed to just take money if my friend hasn't given it for her yet. 😕 We feel super disrespected by this old waitress. We paid €60 + tip but we will NEVER come back. A famous restaurant but the employee treated customers like that, is it worth it to go again??????

Wer authentisch Küche möchte, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Einfach grandios. Unglaublich freundlich und der beste Thai, bei dem ich außerhalb von Thailand je gegessen habe. Die Frühlingsrollen ein Gedicht. Das Curry mit Hühnchen und Kokosmilch, genau wie es sein soll und das Hühnchen mit Cashewkernen unübertroffen. Und zur Krönung auch noch ein absolut fairer Preis.

Simply great Thai food. I went for a lunch and ordered a lunch menu, which included starter, main and desert. I choose starter as salad which was simple but very tasty. My main was chicken in massaman curry. It was delicious, and smootly spicy. The desert was fried banana which also was very tasty.

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere.

Unfortunately, you are not welcome here as a guest and so I can only advise everyone not to eat there!! I wanted to take my lunch break there around 3 p.m. and sit outside in the nice, sunny weather. All tables were empty at this point. The waitress immediately came outside and asked me if I had made a reservation for outside. When I said no, I was asked to sit down in the restaurant. Truly incredible!! I decided to go to the market square around the corner to eat. When I walked past the restaurant again about 40 minutes later, only 2 of the 8 tables outside the restaurant were occupied!! ...and I was previously forbidden from sitting outside because I hadn't made a reservation. Incredible !!!

Obwohl es brechend voll war, erhielten wir nach kurzer Wartezeit einen gemütlichen Tisch und wurden sehr professionell und freundlich bedient. Das Essen ist köstlich, variantenreich und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Besonders die Suppen sind empfehlenswert. Auch die Cocktails sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Ein ruhiges genussvolles Abendessen inmitten des Trubels der Altstadt. Und keineswegs hochpreisig.

I eat here regularly with colleagues. We are always thrilled. The food is really tasty, there is a great ambience and service. In the evening the prices are a bit high. Very subjective: I would like more sharpness, but I won't include that in the rating :) Overall only recommended
