Food was very good but I ordered a vegetarian dish and I found 1 shrimp inside. If you are allergic please pay major attention to this! For the rest everything was very good, service was very professional and polite! I definitely recommend it. The atmosphere was super nice

Simply great Thai food. I went for a lunch and ordered a lunch menu, which included starter, main and desert. I choose starter as salad which was simple but very tasty. My main was chicken in massaman curry. It was delicious, and smootly spicy. The desert was fried banana which also was very tasty.

We had a delicious meal, with noodles, spring rolls and green curry. All were great and a good level of spice! The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options and was very reasonably priced

Unfortunately, you are not welcome here as a guest and so I can only advise everyone not to eat there!! I wanted to take my lunch break there around 3 p.m. and sit outside in the nice, sunny weather. All tables were empty at this point. The waitress immediately came outside and asked me if I had made a reservation for outside. When I said no, I was asked to sit down in the restaurant. Truly incredible!! I decided to go to the market square around the corner to eat. When I walked past the restaurant again about 40 minutes later, only 2 of the 8 tables outside the restaurant were occupied!! ...and I was previously forbidden from sitting outside because I hadn't made a reservation. Incredible !!!

Obwohl es brechend voll war, erhielten wir nach kurzer Wartezeit einen gemütlichen Tisch und wurden sehr professionell und freundlich bedient. Das Essen ist köstlich, variantenreich und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Besonders die Suppen sind empfehlenswert. Auch die Cocktails sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Ein ruhiges genussvolles Abendessen inmitten des Trubels der Altstadt. Und keineswegs hochpreisig.

I have been visiting this restaurant regularly for many years and every time I go there the taste is amazing. It is one of my most appreciated restaurants in terms of taste. I always start with the spicy chicken soup and then I always prefer the spicy duck and basil fried rice, as well as any other green curry main dish. The red curry is always extremely delicious, but one of my current favorites at this restaurant is the beef with Penang curry. The restaurant does not offer a dedicated parking space, but you can come either by public transport, which is very easy, or if you come by car, there are many parking garages nearby. If you are in the old town, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit and you will definitely be very satisfied with the taste of the dishes.

Of course, if you come here you will find authentic Thai food like you eat in Thailand and warm hospitality from real Thai people. If I have the opportunity to come back again, I will definitely come back here again.

Pad Thai unfortunately very bland and with long, half-raw, uncut spring onions, should you eat them like that?! I haven't seen that before. I've never experienced pappaya salad so boring, neither sour nor spicy, just bland :(

Lovely ambience and interior within Baan Thai. We were able to walk in and were seated at the bar while we waited for a free table (Saturday night). We enjoyed some drinks first and then managed a seat. The dishes were all very good. The steamed fish was the highlight and recommend this as the flavours with it made it super tasty. Give it a try!

Super tasty, consistently top quality for years...authentic Thai cuisine, beautifully furnished, really nice family business! One of my favorite restaurants for over 40 years. Of course it's nicest on site in the restaurant, but there is also a great take away offer!!! Absolute recommendation! The high proportion of regular guests proves the quality!

I love it! The ambience, the food, the service, everything is simply great. Not only is the restaurant decorated in a traditional Thai style, the food is also authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, in many restaurants the food is very adapted to German tastes. Not in this restaurant. To experience an authentic traditional Thai meal, this is the place to be.

Die Mahlzeiten waren lecker und größer als erwartet, danach war kein Platz mehr für Dessert ;) Die Ente mit Mango hat gut geschmeckt und war schön knusprig, allerdings war ihre Soße etwas fade. Das Lamm im Massaman Curry war sehr gut, genau richtig gewürzt. Insgesamt würde ich das Essen mit 4.5/5 bewerten. Der Laden hat eine etwas altbackene Ausstattung. Die Bedienung ist zwar nett, spricht aber nicht allzu gut deutsch. Vielleicht lag es daran, daß der bestellte Kaffee mit Milch als ein starker Espresso ankam. Das Ambiente war eher 3.5/5.

Overall a very disappointing visit on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is the oldest Thai restaurant in Düsseldorf, having been in business for almost 60 years. Unfortunately I only rate the food with one star. The starter was great and also of good quality. But the main course was so poorly made that you felt like you were in a cheap fast food restaurant in terms of the taste of the food and the way you “set up” the plate, etc. We didn't even get fresh cutlery after the starter. The cutlery was simply taken off the plate and placed on the table so that we could use it for the second time. I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant if you want to have a nice experience. This is far from enjoyable. By the way, we returned a plate that was almost full because it was simply not edible - although people asked if it was tasty. We said no and that was it. A pity.

Baan Thai is one of my favourite restaurants in Düsseldorf. Growing up, my parents and I used to go here often. Really lovely flavours and authentic Thai food. And I will always remember the friendly older lady who owns the restaurant and would sit at the bar. I have so many fond memories at this restaurant and I can’t wait to visit again and have my favourite order of beef green curry with rice — extra curry, extra scharf. Wish everyone at the restaurant all the best!

EINMAL UND NIE WIEDER ! ALS BONUS EINEN FLIEGE IM ESSEN BEKOMMEN UND NICHT MAL EINE ENTSCHULDIGUNG! die beiden Kellnern (wenn das ein Familienbetrieb ist dann die Eltern) waren sehr unfreundlich ! Papaya Salat : hat nach nichts geschmeckt! Die Suppe & Fisch war OK Als Nachtisch haben wir einen Kokosnussteller bestellt und ja da war ein kleiner fliege drin ! als wir Ihnen bescheid gegeben haben ist der Mann mit dem löffeln in dem Essen rumgefummelt und gemeint er hätte da nichts gesehen.. als er zurück kam sagte er: Nein da war kein Tier, ich hätte mich geirrt. Aber zum glück hab ich ein Bild gemacht und Ihm gezeigt trotzdm lachte er drüber und gemeint welches Handy ich benutze? Wow war das ein Witz? Ich erwarte jetzt nicht dass man mir etwas anbieten oder sowas da wir auch erst am ende bemerkt haben das da was war aber mindestens eine Entschuldigung!

Great restaurant which, after approx 15 years since my last visit, was grest to visit again. Reservation and service during the meal was faultless and further enhanced a lovely meal. Very reasonable prices ... 2 starters, 3 mains with 3 glasses of wine and 2 beers for Euro 105 is great value. Recommended !

Wir haben am 25.12 hier zu zweit, ohne vorher zu reservieren unser Glück versucht und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht 😃👍 Es würde Eingangs gefragt ob wir reserviert haben aber da wir das verneinen mussten hat der nette Herr vom Empfang in sein Buch geschaut, seinen Blick ins Ladenlokal gerichtet und uns sofort einen Tisch gegeben. War vielleicht auch nur Glück 🤷‍♂️ Also lieber vorher anrufen und reservieren 😉 Am Tisch angekommen, kamen auch sehr zügig die Speisekarten und der Tisch wurde eingedeckt. Es lief alles wie am Schnürchen 😉👍 Getränke bestellt, kurz danach waren sie schon am Tisch und das gleiche mit dem bestellten Essen. Das Essen war schön angerichtet, heiß und es war fantastisch 👍👍👍 Es hat uns beiden sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service war wie aus dem Lehrbuch, zügig aber keinesfalls aufdringlich oder gehetzt. Ein Tolles Restaurant mit einem Klasse Service Team ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Das rote Curry war lecker, aber viel zu viel Fleisch drin gewesen und wenig Gemüse. Die Kellnerin war sehr unfreundlich. Ich habe das gezapfte Bier reklamiert, da es ohne Kohlensäure war und ich merkte dass mir der Zapfanlage was nicht stimmt. Sie reagierte total unfreundlich. Der thailändische Eistee war ungenießbar und der Papaya Salat war aus eingelegten und nicht frischen Papayas. Meiner Meinung nach ein Touristen laden und für seine Qualität überteuert. Aber das Curry war trotzdem lecker.

Heerlijk gegeten (hoofdgerecht en toetje) en vriendelijke bediening. Het is super mooi aangekleed van binnen en erg gezellig. Ze hebben ook lekkere cocktails. In het weekend in december wel even reserveren!

The Thai foods here are authentic. The chef and staffs are Thai so you can make sure that you will get the real Thai food here. The food here is better than in Thailand. The Tom Yum Kung is the best. You must order it. I didn't knew what to eat that day when i saw this place. The food is delicious and they serve big portions easly you can share, employees can recomend you some plates if you don't what to choose. You can eat inside or outside and both places are incredible. The decoration makes you feel ike you're in Thailand. Definitely i'll return

Food was tasty, original Thai taste. They add some vegetables that in Thailand we don’t use it but can understand, some vegetables can’t find here. I went there many times with my German bf, was good service. My bf also like the food, they adapted the taste for people here who can’t eat spicy. The guy, Im not sure if he’s the owner or nor but he recovered and friendly. The last 2 times I went with my Thai friends, food was still tasty but service was bad. The woman didn’t even greeting us or smile, she acted like she didn’t want to service us. อาหารอร่อย แต่บริการต้องปรับปรุงค่ะ เราชอบรสชาตินะคะ แทนที่เป็นคนไทยเหมือนกันจะต้อนรับเราดีกว่านี้ เดินเข้าไปในร้านไม่แม้แต่จะทักทายลูกค้า

모듬전채요리가 아주 괜찬다. 타이카레도 맛있고 오징어 볶음도 생각보다 완전 맛있었다.쏨땀도 굿.직원들도 불친절 하진않다. 점심메뉴도 먹어볼만할듯…..

Cibo tradizionale Thai veramente gustoso e pittorico speziato in ambiente caratteristico e accogliente. Ottimo servizio e buoni cocktail, specialmente ice tea da accompagnare ai piatti

Wir waren nach vielen, vielen Jahren wieder hier und wurden sehr enttäuscht. Die Bedienung sprach schlecht deutsch und war alles andere als freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch wurden wir direkt nach dem Essen genötigt sofort zu gehen, da angeblich schon neue Gäste warteten. Das Schlimmste aber war das Essen: Wir haben lange nicht so schlecht Asiatisch gegessen! Die Soße süßlich und langweilig. Das Fleisch gekocht statt gebraten! Alles laff und geschmacklich alles andere als begeisternd. Und wir hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte…!!! Dazu die in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung. Der Laden zehrt vielleicht noch aus alten Zeiten. Früher war es wirklich gut, aber das ist locker 35 Jahre her! Ob der Besitzer seitdem gewechselt hat, können wir nicht sagen. Wir hatten den Laden und den Namen in sehr guter Erinnerung aus alten Zeiten, waren aber geschockt, wie sehr es nachgelassen hat! Da gibt es D E U T L I C H bessere Asiaten heutzutage! Schade, aber wir werden ganz sicher nicht wiederkommen…

Kellner kommt alle 15 Minuten raus, um zu sehen, ob sich neue Leute hingesetzt haben. Im Essen selbst war wenig Fleisch. Man zahlt also viel Geld für Reis.

Personal sehr unfreundlich, dunkler Laden , kein Tageslicht, kitschige Einrichtung. Essen, gebratene Nudeln mit Gemüse und Reis mit Gemüse war sehr schlecht. Portionen waren winzig klein , Gemüsestücke konnte man an einer Hand abzählen. Essen hatte eine starke Glutamat/ Magginote Schlechtes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Für mich gibt es keine Wiederholung, zumal die Bedienung extrem unfreundlich war.

Toller Service, sehr freundlich und irre schnell. Das Essen frisch und megalecker. Das Ambiente traditionell, die blauen 70er-Jahre-Kacheln auf den Toiletten einfach ein Klassiker! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

My favourite Thai joint in Dusseldorf located right in the culinary precinct of Alt Stadt. My go to dishes are the Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup, and grilled fish! Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Amazing food here. We went for the delicious SomTam and the best part is? They could really make it authentically and spicy. The appetiser was delicious and we especially love the steam fish and the Mango stiky-rice. Good wine and fresh beer. I believe one could also oder the Thai Singh beer too. The decor is beautiful. Guests could walk in, call in or reserve a table online. Very convenient. We once knew we would be late. So we called in to inform them and they were okay about it. The staff are always friendly and polite. I would always try to come here whenever we visit the city.

Sehr lecker wieder mal, wie immer wenn man hier essen geht. Auch die Mittagskarte ist extrem günstig und trotzdem sehr gut gekocht.
