Strandperle in Hamburg

The Strandperle, like the Michel and the Hafencity, is simply part of it. A beer at the stand with a view of ships and people is simply beautiful.

The atmosphere here is of course great. Located directly on the Elbe beach, there is a lot going on here when the weather is good. But it is also understandable. However, two stars are deducted because both the coffee and the tea water were no longer hot when we arrived at the place. And you can and should simply expect that.

A margarita and a pilsner in the sunshine on the Elbe beach. If the sun is shining, half of Hamburg is here. Rightly so.

The beach pearl is on the beach and the children get holiday feelings and so do the adults. At the harbor opposite you can watch the container ships being unloaded and the shipping traffic. We recommend the potato wedges with super sour cream. Unfortunately, the espresso had a lot of acid, but the view more than compensated for it. Ordering and paying via the internet works well and the service is quick and friendly.

Very nice place to have a drink with a good view. But the café probably thrives more on its location. The Flat White is relatively expensive at €4 and tastes very bland. Unfortunately, card payments are also not possible, which is pretty backwards these days.

Wow. Great to sit by the Elbe after a walk on the beach. We had fish sandwiches, which were delicious, and an Aperol Spritz and in the evening, kerosene lamps were lit on the tables and the awning was rolled out, which gave the whole thing a really nice and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to move on and would have loved to stay!

Cult: hot or cold drink on/on the Elbe beach, whether with or without a folding chair.

€7.50 for a salmon roll with sliced ​​(cheap) salmon. The business has slowed down considerably. I used to enjoy eating locally but now it's no longer possible. Price and performance are no longer remotely in proportion. I can only recommend that everyone get something somewhere else beforehand or stock up themselves.

It's always nice here, for a coffee or a small snack during the day or a romantic glass of wine in the evening with appropriate table lighting. So far I have only experienced friendly staff here, everything tasted good and the view is simply incomparable. Always like a little vacation.

In a nice place with a nice view, nice and crowded. Of course, in summer everyone wants to go to the beach, unfortunately the mass of customers seems to overwhelm the staff or there is a lack of the right work structure Forgot a meal when ordering, which had to be addressed several times, but it can be annoying. The prices are a bit too high for the overall package offered.

Only had Alsterwasser so no review of the food. But the location is great. Directly on the Elbe beach. We were able to watch a huge container ship entering the port.

Good restaurant located in a magnificent setting: a beach on the river. The meal was good, service a little slow but there were people there. Menu in German. I recommend going there in the summer.

The place is one of the best postcards in the city. It has been a must for visitors and also for us for years. It's been at least years since we had lunch there. The experience was so far removed from what it was before that they had to change owners or the entire kitchen. Everything they served us was a big disappointment. Not recommended for eating. Ideal to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere

One of the most beautiful places in Hamburg :-) Fish rolls and fries are good and make the experience perfect.

The condition is not bad, but I have to go to the fish sandwich. A frozen bullet with parnade and commercial honey mustard sauce, with an interesting bun. However, this does not justify the price of 6.45 approx. Please if you want to eat a fish sandwich go to the Baltic Sea ;)

We went to the Perle for breakfast at 1155 a.m. on Sunday, received a menu and ordered two coffees. If we wanted to order breakfast at 12:01 a.m., the waitress told us that breakfast would only be available until 12:00 p.m. and that it would no longer be possible to order, so we should order from the daily menu. No sooner said than done. Ordered 2 dishes at 1207h, but you couldn't order them until 1215h. Mercifully, the waitress wanted to remember our order. Finally, the day started with fish fry and potato salad instead of croissants with jam. Fun fact: upon further study of the menu, croissants and pretzels were listed as a snack at the back of the menu. A little hint from the staff would have been nice; also a little more AI from the Order app. The weather and ambience helped digest the fat-heavy breakfast

The location on the beach is something special, which is probably why there are so many tables there. I would have classified the food at the level of a medium snack bar. The waitresses make a refreshing impression. For the final price of the bill, I could have eaten really well elsewhere. Here we were harassed by wasps the whole time we were eating. If possible, you should pay extra for the toilets. I didn't like it very much.

Food is not that good, convenience food at expensive prices. The drinks are also rather expensive and standard. When you order, you have to wait forever and the only excuse you get is that there is a lot going on today. Dude, it's the beach pearl, there's always a lot going on, if you can't or don't want to adjust to it, that's your problem. I think it's only because of the view that the store still survives.

The view is of course great. Food and drink rather mediocre and far too expensive for the quality. Plus dirty cutlery, that was a shame.

Nice view but €3.70 for a cappuccino from a fully automatic machine (and not a good one) and then an additional €0.80 (!!!) surcharge for oat milk is simply outrageous. Even the view can't compensate for that.

Terrible service, high prices. Check your change immediately after ordering, after 10 minutes they no longer remember you and claim that they gave you the change, although they cannot tell you in what bills.

Men (and women) must have been here once. And if you just enjoy the sun ForFree. The best way to get here is on foot, there are very few parking spaces at the top. The path to the captain's houses is a footpath. Cycling prohibited. During a storm surge, the water can reach up to the wall, so there's no place to sit.

Unfortunately it can only be reached on foot, but good 👍 for relaxing.

It was the first day in Hamburg and the weather was great, so took off your shoes and walked through the sand to Strandperle to spend some time there. The food and drinks were great and we were able to enjoy the view of the water in peace

We were there recently around late morning and what can I say: just great. The service is super nice and friendly, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and the view towards the harbor is priceless. We only stayed outside, so I can't say what the inside is like. We didn't eat anything. However, what we saw from the other guests looked very tasty

For the first time we were on the Elbe beach and in the Strandperle. With the best weather it was well attended. The service was attentive and busy. The food came quickly and was also above average. The truffle mayonnaise was particularly tasty.

Simply wonderful... here you can chill out with friends on the Elbe beach with friendly service and good drinks. Highly recommended is the super tasty herring roll... simply amazing.

A pearl indeed. Always quick service and delicious snacks. Tip: fries with truffle mayo or the watermelon salad! Card payment is no problem. There is also a nice breakfast here, cocktails and beers on tap. Then you can sit here, chill out and watch the children and dogs play in the sand. Side note: access is not barrier-free. Some people could use help, but it's worth it.

It's great to sit right on the Elbe and watch the small and large ships. Order via QR code at the table or via friendly waitresses. Drinks and food arrived very quickly.

The location is great! You sit right on the beach, but it is quite crowded. The service staff is very friendly, the service concept (you order and pay online, the food is just left on the table) is not for me. You can't order extra cutlery or other special requests, which means the staff has to work twice, which isn't very nice for them. But also for yourself, because you always have to be “annoying” :/ I had a drink “slammed” on the table in such a way that it spilled quite a bit. I assumed the waiter would come back and wipe away the puddle, but when the food came after 10 minutes I had to actively ask for someone to clean the table for me. I was most disappointed with the food. Small portion of fries for 5/6€ with not a single sauce. A very small portion of ketchup (seen on the neighboring table) costs €1(!!). Who is fries without sauce? (I was always offered at least one free sauce in the restaurant) Oat milk surcharge also 80 cents? I therefore opted for the “cheaper” baked potato with salad. What can I say: I was served an almost cold baked potato with three leaves of lettuce and a salad dressing that I bought in the supermarket the day before. (That's not a joke) As I said, you don't go here for the service or the good food. However, in my opinion the prices are cheeky, especially for the food on offer (I haven't had such a bad meal outside in a long time) Unfortunately, the service wasn't convincing either, although everyone was very, very friendly! I'm afraid little will change here in the near future, the store is doing too well for that. But I recommend everyone reading this to go to the much cheaper kiosk next door, with a similarly good location.

The later the afternoon, the more visitors arrive to chill out in the evening. Worthwhile because the beach is a great attraction for the kids and the parents can relax within sight. The highlight is the trip there by ferry

Service and atmosphere very nice. Prices shot through the roof. 1x Cola and 1x loveless, industrially manufactured fish cake drowned in mustard sauce (not even a green leaf as decoration) -> a mere 13 euros!! Visiting is simply no longer fun

A lovely restaurant in a fantastic location. Very modern with the option to order and pay digitally - but it can also be done analogue! Fast and super friendly service. They are tasty, freshly prepared and a reasonable size. The view of the container port is of course unbeatable, the shipping traffic is constant, from mega container ships to cruise ships to all sorts of other watercraft. I was lucky with parking. The toilet situation is a bit tight, when it's full the queues are long.

I doubt whether there are any Hamburg residents who don't know the beach pearl. If there are still some and for everyone else, it's high time to change this. I don't think there is any other place in Hamburg where you can combine comfortable sitting right on the beach with really good food and great service. It's certainly quite crowded, especially on days with good weather, but that doesn't dampen the mood, quite the opposite.

Nice location, have been there many times. The culinary offering has changed and minimized in recent years. What I don't want to recommend at all is the egg breakfast. On the one hand, I have never eaten such expensive scrambled eggs and of such poor quality. So gray bread with scrambled eggs definitely from a tetra pack (a no go) with 3 extremely dry, crispy bacon chips for 18.50 euros is usury. I asked the waitress about it, but she was either completely clueless about what she was selling or embarrassed. But there are other delicious things there too and I'll be back.

Wir sind waschechte Hamburger und besuchen die Strandperle seit den 80er Jahren. Nun haben wir neulich dort gefrühstückt und waren maßlos enttäuscht, was man uns für knappe Euro 20! (Kaffee exkl.) serviert hat. Wir zahlen gerne für den freundlichen Service und den Blick, aber eben auch für Qualität. Daher war es das leider.

Ambience on the beach was great. I invited the family over for breakfast and started the day there. At 10:00 the service was already busy in the cloudy weather. Everything went very quickly and great. We decided on the captain's breakfast. It was well prepared. But with a breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon on 1 slice of whole grain bread and a little side salad without coffee for a whopping 20 euros, that's amazing. The coffee had to be ordered separately. It's included in every location. It's a shame, that you will annoy the guest and then think about eating something next time.

Had something to drink in the “Strandperle”. The location is an absolute recommendation when the weather is good. The prices are slightly higher depending on the location. We didn't eat anything, so I can't rate this point.
