In the sun and when you want to go out: wonderful place, no cars driving up and down, a constant coming and going, with and without children, old, young, a lively place, and yet pure relaxation. Sand, water, a drink, quick and patient service. And there is also a “town”. Recommendation.

A must go to when in Hamburg, despite of London like prices and not exactly a gourmet temple. But the views, service and atmosphere are great.

A nice location to enjoy the summer

We stopped by in the late afternoon — simply because I was in the mood for a good ol’ fried fish. And what can I say? Mission accomplished. Crispy, flavorful, just right. The remoulade sauce was spot-on, and the potato salad? Solid. Nothing spectacular, but it held its ground. The view is lovely, the atmosphere laid-back, and the prices are what you’d expect in Hamburg — not cheap, but fair. The entire ordering process is digitalized, which is fine in theory. But here’s the catch: you’re prompted for a tip straight away, even though no one’s actually taken your order. The service is pretty hands-off, and for someone who’s worked decades in hospitality, it leaves a slightly strange aftertaste. That said, when a staff member did swing by the table, they were friendly and professional. All in all, tasty food and a nice spot. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

A favorite destination of ours for years. Even if it's full, you can always get a seat quickly and the service is always fast. Either with a QR code at the table or with self service. The food is delicious and of course the drinks too. It's not cheap here, but with the view and service it's worth the money. We'll be back soon.

There's always something going on here. The people are friendly and relaxed. Despite the fact that it sometimes gets packed, the queues are limited, and you can always find a spot (perhaps on the sand) with a cool view of the passing boats.

Mega toilets super clean and in a really good mood... the pearl itself is an institution in Hamburg... I prefer it a little less "see and be seen"!

Nice to have a sandy beach close to town. Simply take the public transport ferry from the ferry terminal to Övelgönne and relax and walk barefoot through the sand. Next door is a beautiful maritime museum. Didn't eat anything, just drank a beer.

Great location, clearly very touristy, but you can do it. Fries were ok, but 5 euros is already great. And 1€ for ketchup... Everything is nice and right in the sand, perfect for children to play. More vegan options would be great!

Everything is mixed together here! The pizzas are very tasty and the guys and girls behind the counter are really pleasant people. Almost every time we travel to Hamburg, we are there.

Good for wet feet and wind in your hair

First of all, we didn't eat so I can't comment on that and it was self-service. A wonderful spot of pirate beach in the north of Hamburg city - we took the ferry (#62) from the Landungsbrücken. About 15 minutes on the water and then another long walk along a narrow sidewalk, along beautiful house fronts and decorated front gardens. You want to live here, but you probably can't afford it. We could have walked along the beach, but that was too cool for us in March. The Strandperle itself consists of three different restaurants with different offerings of food and drinks, a toilet facility and of course, the Elbe beach. It definitely gets crowded here in spring/summer. Simply wonderful. Here you can forget about time with friends or alone and watch the water flow with a cold drink in your hand. We stuck to hot chocolate and apple punch (March). Recommended!

Anyone who doesn't know the beach pearl has missed Hamburg, he he. Drink delicious Astra in Hamburg directly on the Elbe. Nothing more is possible! Of course, European Championship football was also broadcast there!

Like the Michel and the Hafencity or Elphi, the Strandperle is simply part of Hamburg. A drink on the beach with a view of ships and people in the sunshine is just beautiful.

The atmosphere here is of course great. Located directly on the Elbe beach, there is a lot going on here when the weather is good. But it is also understandable. However, two stars are deducted because both the coffee and the tea water were no longer hot when we arrived at the place. And you can and should simply expect that.

The beach pearl is on the beach and the children get holiday feelings and so do the adults. At the harbor opposite you can watch the container ships being unloaded and the shipping traffic. We recommend the potato wedges with super sour cream. Unfortunately, the espresso had a lot of acid, but the view more than compensated for it. Ordering and paying via the internet works well and the service is quick and friendly.

Very nice place to have a drink with a good view. But the café probably thrives more on its location. The Flat White is relatively expensive at €4 and tastes very bland. Unfortunately, card payments are also not possible, which is pretty backwards these days.

Wow. Great to sit by the Elbe after a walk on the beach. We had fish sandwiches, which were delicious, and an Aperol Spritz and in the evening, kerosene lamps were lit on the tables and the awning was rolled out, which gave the whole thing a really nice and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to move on and would have loved to stay!

It's always nice here, for a coffee or a small snack during the day or a romantic glass of wine in the evening with appropriate table lighting. So far I have only experienced friendly staff here, everything tasted good and the view is simply incomparable. Always like a little vacation.

Nice place, nice serving staff, Aperol Sprizz tastes good and is ok in terms of price-performance ratio (€9.50 each). Food (burgers and cakes) looked very appealing.

Of course, in summer everyone wants to go to the beach, unfortunately the mass of customers seems to overwhelm the staff or there is a lack of the right work structure Forgot a meal when ordering, which had to be addressed several times, but it can be annoying. The prices are a bit too high for the overall package offered.

Only had Alsterwasser so no review of the food. But the location is great. Directly on the Elbe beach. We were able to watch a huge container ship entering the port.

Good restaurant located in a magnificent setting: a beach on the river. The meal was good, service a little slow but there were people there. Menu in German. I recommend going there in the summer.

The place is one of the best postcards in the city. It has been a must for visitors and also for us for years. It's been at least years since we had lunch there. The experience was so far removed from what it was before that they had to change owners or the entire kitchen. Everything they served us was a big disappointment. Not recommended for eating. We went to the Perle for breakfast at 1155 a.m. on Sunday, received a menu and ordered two coffees. If we wanted to order breakfast at 12:01 a.m., the waitress told us that breakfast would only be available until 12:00 p.m. and that it would no longer be possible to order, so we should order from the daily menu. No sooner said than done. Ordered 2 dishes at 1207h, but you couldn't order them until 1215h. Mercifully, the waitress wanted to remember our order. Finally, the day started with fish fry and potato salad instead of croissants with jam. Fun fact: upon further study of the menu, croissants and pretzels were listed as a snack at the back of the menu. A little hint from the staff would have been nice; also a little more AI from the Order app. The weather and ambience helped digest the fat-heavy breakfast

The condition is not bad, but I have to go to the fish sandwich. A frozen bullet with parnade and commercial honey mustard sauce, with an interesting bun. However, this does not justify the price of 6.45 approx. Please if you want to eat a fish sandwich go to the Baltic Sea ;)
