Great spot with delicious beer. Children could just play in the sand.

Well-known and not least popular location on the beach with a beautiful view of the Elbe / harbor. After not having been there for years, the current poor price/performance ratio was unfortunately disappointing: average snack food at really high prices. In addition, service quality is at the level that is unfortunately now common for temporary staff. You don't have to have that!

We were negatively surprised. The prices are really very high for what you get. The fries taste at least as good as at McDonalds and the burger really wasn't worth €20 with the fries. The salad with a bit of balsamic vinegar in the corner on the plate was also a bit bland... If you like a good view and sand, you can definitely have a drink there, but we don't recommend eating.

A true pearl, the “beach pearl” on the Elbe beach! Let your mind wander, feet in the sand, the waves splashing and the ships passing by. Just wonderful! With a dog, children, grandma, grandpa, no matter who - a great excursion destination in Hamburg for everyone. Cold drinks, delicious food and when it's hot, a spot under the parasol. The Himmelsleiter leads from the Elbchause to the Strandperle, a very steep staircase that is a small highlight. It's a very special place down there, well worth visiting.

Good place on the Elba river beach. Quite pleasant to eat or have a drink with the tables in the same sand. Attention with QR that is paid directly from the phone, makes ordering quite comfortable and easy. Prices somewhat high for the quality and portion of food.

Cool atmosphere in wonderful weather. We sat there nicely, drank a few wine spritzers and just looked at the Elbe. We saw food on the neighboring tables, pure convenience...a shame.

Super great location, right on and on the sandy beach on the Elbe. Here you can sit comfortably, relax and chill out and at the same time watch the ships go by. Very fast and friendly service at reasonable prices.

It has become very, very expensive. I get the impression that there are fewer staff on the road, but I don't know that for sure. In any case, I won't eat there again, the price and performance are no longer right. And there are far too few places in the shade. Big compliments to the cleaner who looks after the new toilets. Always clean, very friendly, very pleasant.

Total tip. Great to sit on the beach when the weather is good.

You could say that the store's good reputation precedes it, and that may be the case, similar to Franzbrötchen or Astra, but hey: Anyone who has been coming here regularly for over 20 years as a young Hamburger seems to like it somehow. So butter the fish now: location location location, beer is beer and the waitresses are great, and if not, then you open your mouth immediately, not just afterwards. I'll come back until the Klabautermann comes for me. Or Blank Hans during a storm surge.

A very nice location, the food is good but not cheap, a portion of fries costs €5, mayo, €1, ketchup, €1, but it's very nice there.

Perfect end to our trip. The ambience is incredible when you sit on the beach and watch the ships. The price is enormous (the food), but in the end you're happy to pay for it because it's just wonderful to sit here.

Beautiful spots but awful service. Don't come here if you are a foreigner because the staff won't serve you. After 45 minutes of waiting, many eye contacts I just gave up and left. All the customers around me that arrived after were served.

Die Strandperle steht eigentlich jedes Jahr auf unserer Agenda und wir sind im Laufe des Sommers normalerweise mehrmals dort. Der Blick ist und bleibt einmalig, aber leider hat das Essen deutlich nachgelassen. Der Backfisch war ziemlich sicher fertige TK-Ware, die Kartoffel Wedges lappig und weich. Einzig die Pommes waren gut. Dafür alleine ist die Strandperle mittlerweile einfach zu teuer geworden. Service war aufmerksam und bemüht, aber der Besuch war insgesamt trotzdem enttäuschend.

Nice location on the Elbe beach. You can sit there well and see the ships and barges passing by. Plus a good drink 🍻. If you like, you can have breakfast or eat other things there. The service is attentive and friendly.

The beach, the view, the sunset, the people... It's nice to stay here

Small self-catering beer garden with shade from tall deciduous trees. Equipped with beer benches and beach chairs, an ideal place to relax after the walk from Teufelsbrück to Övelgönne.

Nice place to visit during sunny summer days.. It is easy to take the boat from city center (boat is in every 20-30 minutes during weekend).. After a boat trip around half an hour you are there.. Nice streets in the village takes you to the beach.. Not very convenient for swimming because the rocky ground at the lake.. Nice place for the kids to play in the sand... I took a pizza there.. Was not very deliciois but pizza is pizza :)

Eat the usual like in a bistro. Nothing special. Service friendly and relaxed. Nice view of the Elbe. In the evening the voice level can become very loud.

One of the most beautiful places to watch ships on the Elbe while enjoying an Aperol. The new option to order with the app is good and helps with the hustle and bustle. Food is good, but not the reason to come back. Tip: definitely order truffle fries.

Our short stay there was really idiotic. You can order and pay from the table using your mobile phone using a QR code, which is pretty smart. But the food we ordered came very quickly and we waited 25 minutes for the beer. What?! While the plates were already empty, it was completely hot outside and not crowded at all, you had to somehow cough up the food to eat it halfway warm and we couldn't drink for another half an hour. Rarely have I experienced anything more crazy 😂 the fries were complete stones by the way.. On top of that, when the beer came, we had to get up because the parasols were closed due to the drizzle 😅 means changing places and drinking the last sips in the wet.. Really pain there.

This review is for the entire area around Strandperle including the boardwalk and restaurant/bar scene. I went on a sunny, beautiful Thursday and it was very lively and clearly a big hit with both locals and visitors. It's also close to Ferry 62 which takes you back into Hamburg Landbrucken area so very convenient as well. FABULOUS spot. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful Sunday morning with fantastic atmosphere, delicious food and lovely service. Prices are reasonable for the service in my opinion.

The first time on the Elbe beach we felt hungry. In the Strandperle we ordered 2x currywurst via cell phone, which worked well. What I found a bit strange is that you should give a tip before someone has done something for you.

It's nice to sit here directly on the Elbe and drink a coffee and eat a piece of cake. And when the sun shines, it's almost like being on vacation.

Always a nice place after a stroll along the Elbe beach. Ordering via the app is not going well, payment options are not sufficient. We left without ordering, what a shame!

We tried to order directly online, it's supposed to be quicker, but unfortunately it didn't work. We then went to the competition next door, where it was self-service, but super fast and about €5 cheaper. Then we got €2 for that Tip. Pizza 🍕 at the table next door looked very good 👍. We only had coffee ☕️ and cake, although the 🍎 cake Very good 👍 was. Next time we'll go there straight away! Bad luck for the beach pearl!

Way too expensive!!!! I come from the catering industry. Burger consists of a below average frozen patty, bun is as dry as it can be, dry fries, overall very poor taste. If you don't pay a tip in advance, the drinks will take twice as long as if you pay a tip. Next time I'll bring my own food and stay next door.

Plenty of spaces direct in the sand, self-service which is fine, had a small,thin-base pizza and brezel, beer and soft drinks, service friendly, toilets okay.

A great place for a walk. Anyone who has a dog should make sure beforehand whether the animal can get along with other dogs, otherwise there will be little peace and quiet with the animal. The view of the large ships is simply beautiful to look at! Food overpriced. Probably depends on the location. Two coffees, two 03 soda / cola and a children's ice cream 25€ The coffee was cold! Toilet super clean, the cleaning ladies do their job well. Street parking is free if you can get one. Unfortunately the stairs don't lead all the way to the beach. Older people should be able to handle the gradient and the increase. You can spend a day or two there to relax.

When the weather is nice, it's absolutely great on the beach on the Elbe. Price/performance ok.

We hosted dinner on the upper deck and it was 10/10. Mega location (you can't get more Hamburg!), great food and nice service. Individual agreements and inquiries were also treated with respect and implemented. Thanks and highly recommended!

Great bar on the Elbe beach. The selection of food and drink is limited, but there is something for everyone for a midday snack. Great view of the harbor and very attentive and nice staff.

Nice place to stop for a drink. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good. I wouldn't have expected frozen goods for the prices. Unfortunately, going out to eat is not recommended.

This is a very cool location, located on a beach by the River Elbe looking across to the busy and huge dry docks. It was busy when we visited in a sunny Friday lunchtime but our food and drinks were served incredibly quickly. Our curry wurst and salad were both very good but it is the atmosphere rather than the food which makes this place worth a visit.

Prices are juicy as always. The food came very quickly, even if it wasn't our food when we first served it. I don't know what mustard is on a fish cake sandwich. But it's good to search. Mayonese on the fries is vegan again and therefore inedible. You can hardly find real mayonese anymore; all restaurateurs copy that from each other. The salmon roll only tasted like a roll. For 7€ a disgrace. It's cool that you can order the food yourself using a QR code at the table.

The situation, of course, brings out all the inadequacies. You sit in the middle of the beach, overlooking the harbor, surrounded by people all enjoying the view. Drinks are self-service. Ordering food at the table only works with your mobile phone, payment via credit card or ApplePay. So if you don't have your physical card to hand, you won't get anything. I find it difficult, but it seems to work. Food was ok. Burger was good, fish cakes were cold. Prices are according to the location. Cool location that should be on every tour!

The service is bad, the waitress is unfriendly and doesn't know the menu or the different ingredients and dishes. The food is bad, salad is sappy, food is not really tasteful. When the wrong sauce was brought to me, they didn't admit the mistake and tried to foist the wrong sauce on me. Unfortunately the view is great. But I recommend sitting at the beach kiosk instead. The food is much better and the service is friendlier. I finally had to learn it now.

When the sun shines, the beach pearl is definitely worth a visit. Here you can get drinks for cash right on the Elbstand with a view of the harbor.

I've gone there 2-3 times, the menu has many options to eat and drink. It's a bit expensive but we are on the beach. I had my first herring sandwich there (€6.90) and another beer (€5). It was super delicious! Otherwise people are nice and when it rains you are under one roof. The main disadvantage is the toilets that are outside of the restaurants. You have to pay for it too, but it's somewhat normal for a pub.

An insider tip for breakfast on the weekend. If you come around 10 a.m., almost everything is still free and you can enjoy the beach, the view and the food. It gets crowded after 12 p.m.

Setting a binding pre-selection for tips in the EC card function at a self-service snack bar - meaning: the customer has to choose whether to tip 0 -10 - 15 - 20% - is very cheeky...

I love it, in the middle of the city on the big river and still relaxing. When the big boats pass by, it's wonderful.

It's the view that counts... and the right weather

Simply the one place in HH where you have to be! Super relaxed atmosphere, delicious drinks and food! And the wonderful Elbe beach! Simply a perfect overall park! !IMPORTANT! The only disadvantage is that it could be difficult for strollers, wheelchairs and people who have difficulty walking as it goes down very steeply and then up again at the end!

Always nice on the Elbe beach. It's just a shame that you don't get any fries "to go" so that you can continue to linger on the blanket by the water with the kids.

Location is OK as expected, the food is far too expensive for the lack of quality. Burger was too dry and tasteless, but the veggie burger only tasted like turmeric. The currywurst only tasted like warmed-up sausage and, seriously, people, 1€ for a teaspoon of ketchup on the fries?! Soft drinks only in 0.5 l Let's book under: Experience we won't have again! A pity!

Classic, kiosk with plenty of seating, right on the Elbe beach. Danger of wet feet 😉. Online ordering ensures very fast service. Families, children and dogs dig in the sand, a relaxed atmosphere under parasols.

On Pentecost Sunday, despite the sun and clouds, we went to Strand Perle with the young children and were given a very friendly welcome and attention was even drawn to the vegan soft ice cream from Oatley, for which we could also choose four different toppings. Top service, really good prices for this convincing quality of food and a great team. Thank you for the great experience and the beautiful panorama on the Elbe. 😍
