My husband and I spent a weekend at Villa Contessa at the beginning of 2026. We were very pleasantly surprised by this beautiful, small, family-run hotel right on the shore of Lake Scharmüzel. We often stay in five-star hotels, but everything here was just perfect. We had the perfect wellness retreat. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The entire atmosphere was very relaxed. Every request we made was always fulfilled. Of course, everything comes at a price, for example, the separate breakfast, but since the quality is absolutely top-notch, it's well worth the cost. We also enjoyed the enchanting Christmas decorations, and when it snowed outside, we felt like we were in a fairytale. We will recommend you and would love to come back again.
