Das Dorsch in Bad Saarow

This is how good cooking works... We really enjoyed the evening at “Das Dorsch”. Very tasty food, attentive but unobtrusive service and an excellent selection of desserts. I ordered two portions because I didn't want to choose. Very good, honest and regional cuisine, without a lot of chichi. But both visually and tastefully very appealing and of a high standard. We'll see each other again on our next stay in Bad Saarow.

The chillest place I've visited in the last few weeks. Thanks to the attentive team. It was pure enjoyment. Addition April 2025 .. there's nothing to add .. pure enjoyment...

Spontaneously discovered “Das Dorsch”... a TOP 100% point location...!!! It almost couldn't be better. View over the lake, boat dock in front of the door, peace and relaxation included. We were in the outdoor area, service was good, food (truffle kebab) was first class... Only 4 stars each for service and ambience here because we only enjoyed the outdoor area... but we will probably give away the 3x5 stars 🌟 on the next visit.... You should definitely have been HERE = risk of addiction for the summer incl.!!! Thanks to the team and owners for THIS location

Very tasty food in a very nice place. Staff friendly, relaxed, accommodating. Pricey, but definitely worth it. The combination with the music from the yacht club was inappropriate.

The restaurant is recommended with restrictions. Unfortunately, the music was too loud and not entirely harmonious for the beautiful location by the lake. In our opinion, subtle music would have been more appropriate and not dance music. Unfortunately, we didn't think the prices were appropriate for the amount of food. Unfortunately, our asparagus salad was a disappointment as it was served with a lot of rocket, which was too dominant in taste. Few dishes and, in our opinion, not enough fish dishes, especially for the location on the lake and the name Dorsch.

A very nice location by the water. We had ordered schnitzel with asparagus and only received a mini schnitzel with a little asparagus, which was also too raw and all very expensive. Absolutely not recommended if you want to be full for high prices. For example, we ate a much better schnitzel in Austria for less money and got up satisfied. Not so in cod.

The Dorsch is not an ordinary restaurant, but a place where enjoyment is celebrated. The atmosphere is stylish and at the same time pleasantly relaxed. Dogs seem to be friendly welcome. Hugo and Campari orange came to the table at the start ice cold, fresh, tangy and with enough charm. The menu is a homage to fine cuisine with a maritime touch. Every place setting was flawless – both in terms of taste and appearance. The service? Attentive, charming and with a keen sense of timing. In short: Dorsch is a place you'll want to return to - not just because of the food, but because of the overall experience. For anyone looking for something special: a recommendation!

A visit to Bad Saarow should be crowned with a visit to this “institution”. The view over the lake is just as unique as the ambience, service and warmth and also the food. Admittedly, we weren't here for the first time and we're not the only ones who noticed this. People with well-known names make up the guest gallery. But it had to be said again now.

It was a perfect evening with friends. Excellent food, extremely friendly staff and an atmosphere that makes you feel good. We will definitely come back.

Just wow. Super tasty 😍💪. Very beautiful surroundings. Incredible service, extremely polite staff. They understood me with my English (which, believe me, is difficult😂), and arranged a small celebration 🥳. We ordered 🍤 shrimp (I recommend)/ Miami (steak 🥩) and fish fingers for the child. Everything is very tasty. Wine / beer / water. The check was 111 euros - we were pleasantly surprised. And the view from the window and the birds singing, just wow. In short, we sincerely recommend 🤍🤍

Food okay, service snooty, unfriendly and inattentive.

Wir gehen immer sehr gerne in Das Dorsch wenn wir in Bad Saarow sind. Nun sind wir nicht wie viele andere Saarow Gäste jedes Wachende dort, wir kochen auch gern @home, aber dennoch recht häufig! Wir schätzen den Service und die Küche sehr und sind meistens sehr happy. Am letzten Freitag waren wir wieder mit der ganzen Family (5) dort und hatten es sehr schön. Ruinart, Garnelen, Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge, Dessert…. Einzig moniere ich die Tatsache, dass ich bei der Reservierung gesagt habe, wir feiern den Geburtstag meiner Frau und das wurde auch notiert bei der telefonischen Reservierung. Trotz mehrfacher Hinweise während des Abends wurde darauf nicht eingegangen, was ich schade finde. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend als Family und entsprechend war die Rechnung- alles prima- aber so eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit wäre doch nett gewesen- wenn es nur ein Happy Birthday verbal gewesen wäre. Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder:-)

A special restaurant in Bad Saarow with a long history, excellent food, the best lake view, loving furnishings and excellent service right on the lake.

Ich war mit meinem Sohn aufgrund der guten Bewertungen zum Mittagessen. Das Ambiente war top. Wir hatten einen Hauptgang bestellt, welcher von der Menge eher einer Vorspeise glich. Das Essen war geschmacklich ganz gut, aber wie gesagt zu wenig und dafür viel zu teuer. Kleine Softgetränke 0.2 l ab 4,50 € sind ebenfalls völlig überteuert. Das war mal ein Versuch. Wir gehen dann wohl doch wieder zur neuen Bühne am Bahnhof.

A super beautiful piece of earth. There, right on Scharmützelsee, you can really relax and unwind. The food is a dream, a great ambience and great service.

We arrived at restaurant and waiter offered us a table, but then old ugly lady run to us and told that everything is reserved!

We say thank you for the wonderful evening. We had dinner and dance at Café Dorsch with friends, got an insight into the kitchen and were able to enjoy a variety of delicacies. It's really crazy what the chefs can come up with in such a short time and in a great mood. We had a lot of fun, the service was great. We'll definitely be back.

Nach einer wunderbaren Uferwanderung kamen wir zum Café Dorsch, das jetzt "Das Dorsch" heißt. Diese Umbenennung hat eine Vermutung in uns geweckt, der auch gleich entsprochen wurde. Wenn auch der Außenbereich sehr nett dekoriert ist - der Empfang war etwas frostig bis reserviert - wir wurden dann nach einer Reservierung gefragt. Die wir nicht hatten. Daraufhin wurden wir gnädig an einen Zweiertisch platziert, der für einen von uns die Aussicht auf eine Wand bereit hielt. Vermutlich, um uns zu zeigen, wer hier das Sagen hat. Um es vorweg zu nehmen, das Restaurant war, als wir es verlassen haben, genauso leer wie bei unserer Ankunft. Es wären durchaus Plätze mit besserer Sicht verfügbar gewesen. Permanent wollte man unsere Jacken weghängen. Ob wir etwas essen wollen oder nur Kaffee trinken, fragte man leider nicht. Wir wollten Letzteres. Der Kaffee war mit gutem Willen durchschnittlich. Der Kuchen konnte diese Durchschnittlichkeit leider nicht erreichen. Ein als Frankfurter Kranz bezeichneter Minikringel und ein Schwarzwälder Kirsch Törtchen, ebenso Mini, waren beide geschmack- und inhaltslos. Im besten Falle Auftauware. Fazit: zum Kaffee ist Das Dorsch nicht empfehlenswert, deshalb heißt es auch nicht mehr so, an der echten Freundlichkeit gegenüber Gästen sollte gearbeitet werden.

After a wonderful walk along the shore we came to Café Dorsch, which is now called “Das Dorsch”. This renaming aroused a suspicion in us, which was immediately fulfilled. Although the outside area is very nicely decorated - the reception was a bit frosty until reserved - we were then asked for a reservation. Which we didn't have. We were then graciously seated at a table for two, which had a view of a wall for one of us. Presumably to show us who's in charge here. To be clear, the restaurant was just as empty when we left as when we arrived. There would definitely have been places available with a better view. People constantly wanted to hang up our jackets. Unfortunately, we weren't asked whether we wanted to eat something or just drink coffee. We wanted the latter. The coffee was, by good faith, average. Unfortunately, the cake couldn't achieve this average. A mini kringel called a Frankfurter Kranz and a Black Forest cake, also mini, were both tasteless and without content. In the best case scenario, thawed goods. Conclusion: Das Dorsch is not recommended with coffee, which is why it is no longer said that, real friendliness towards guests should be worked on.

Very nice tasteful atmosphere. The food is very tasty and sometimes something different, for example the pumpkin and mango soup with smoked duck breast strips. We waited over 1.5 hours for our main course... The flank steak could have been softer. The cod fillet, on the other hand, is highly recommended. In our opinion, for a more upscale restaurant, the service could have been even better and friendlier, for example by asking if you liked it.

The service was a bit stressful, but still very friendly. Otherwise perfect location, super delicious food.

It's like in the GDR here. Half the store is empty, but apparently everything is reserved. Since we had a baby with us, that was probably the reason for the lack of hospitality.

Exceptionally good restaurant with a great location right on the lake. The food was excellent, steak perfectly pink. We also had a soup that was simply amazing in terms of taste. The menu is very meat/fish-heavy (top for me), but vegetarians will also find something on the menu. There is a nice selection of wines and is particularly nice for drivers: There are common aperitifs and drinks such as Gin Tonic, Hugo and Aperol Spritz, all also available as non-alcoholic versions that taste very good. The service is very nice, everything just took a while (like taking orders, clearing the table after the meal), so only four stars for the service. But that wasn't the fault of the waiters themselves, I suspect that there weren't enough people. In any case, the service staff had a lot to do. In my opinion the best restaurant in the Bad Saarow region, absolutely recommended.

Thank you and respect in difficult times for an always excellent and stable restaurant offering that is rarely found in Bad Saarow! Wonderfully well-kept location on the Scharmützelsee and an ambitious, creative kitchen without any fancy frills - the chef really has what it takes... Even though it was packed, we were never turned away. After a meal at “Dorsch” you drive home happily.

Delicious food, attentive service, a varied menu also for vegans/vegetarians and my personal highlight was that there was a surprise bag, children's glasses and cutlery for my three-year-old child. That's very rare.

Great location. Great food. Service in the restaurant was a bit rude at first, but then very good. Went to dinner in the restaurant and the next day in the afternoon for a snack on the harbor terrace. The cod is definitely a recommendation! The only downer: all the “empties”! There are empty Ruinart Rosé bottles everywhere.

You can't get any closer to paradise.

Very chic restaurant. We have reserved a table for a silver wedding anniversary. It started to rain and the service staff spontaneously organized our "move" inside. The service was very good and the employees were very friendly. The restaurant is rather upscale, so the prices are a bit higher. However, it is worth it as the food was very good in terms of taste and quality. If desired, the chanterelle pasta could be ordered vegetarian (without chorizo). There is a large non-alcoholic drinks menu including non-alcoholic aperitifs (e.g. Aperol etc.!). Highly recommended.

It has been 9 years that I m continuously coming in the summer, Dorsch had always been quaint, beside being a historical restaurant. In the last 7 years they have been upping their game year after year, their cuisine has now reached a refined level seldom seen outside Berlin. They source mostly their products within Brandenburg, their service was faultless the last time we came, the view from the terrace on the lake is outstanding, and the customers tend to be very much the type looking for either good cuisine or quietness in a refined surroundings. Dorsch is definitely contributing to return the lake to its former pre war glory as an upper destination in the region, and food wise they can pretend for a "Bib Gourmand" or join the Slow food consortium

Sit down, bang on vacation! Whether it's a snack for lunch or just a delicious meal in the evening, it's a great place.

Excellent food. Good service, but with a deduction due to the lack of an English card for my colleagues from abroad. You can use Google translate, but you don't really want to. PS: we paid almost exactly €60 per person for the main course, desserts and two drinks per person.

The food from the outdoor kitchen is very tasty and you can sit very comfortably by the lake. But it was extremely unpleasant to hear the cook outside loudly being folded for breaking the deep fryer. "You don't have to grin so stupidly. I'm losing 1,000 euros a day because of you!"

Wir waren inspiriert durch die guten Bewertungen im Netz und versuchten Es ohne Reservierung. Wir hatten Glück und wurden von einer sehr resoluten etwas unterkühlt wirkenden Dame platziert. Von da an wurden wir von einer sehr jungen Kellnerin bedient...Absolut kompetent und umsichtig. Dann wurden Getränke bestellt. Da es sehr heiß war gab es auch eine Flasche Wasser. Diese kostete 8,00€. Ja...Es ist alles teurer geworden, aber das nenne ich mal vorsichtig..SPORTLICH! Es ging weiter mit einem Gruß aus der Küche. Dieser bestand aus einem großen Esslöffel Suppe ohne Brot. Dann hatten wir ein Dreigang Menü. Suppe. Hauptgang und Dessert. Der Hauptgang..Ochsenbäckchen...für über 29€ bestand aus etwas Püree, etwas Wurzelgemüse und EINEM Handteller großen Stück Fleisch. Es war alles gut gekocht und geschmacklich in Ordnung. Mehr aber auch nicht. Wir haben insgesamt 130€ im Restaurant gelassen und waren trotzdem noch hungrig...Und Das obwohl wir keine besonders starke Esser sind. Fazit: Man kann im Dorsch ganz gut essen. Allerdings sollte man nicht ausgehungert dort erscheinen....Dann wird man definitiv nicht satt.

Small beer (0.33L) 4.50. If you're not a regular, you can pick it up from the counter and bring it to your seat yourself, but you'll be used to it. If you then give a 15% tip (in a state of mental derangement), no one would think of saying “thank you”. Nice place - the rest is absolute crap.

The staff is completely overloaded and the staff there is unfriendly, arrogant and overwhelmed with the workload. Rarely have I seen such unpleasant people.

Very great atmosphere, gladly again

We have been coming to Dorsch for many years and so did last weekend. Unfortunately, the friendly and warm atmosphere is no longer noticeable. A pity. The staff is tense and inflexible. The prices are also extremely high for what is on offer. Hopefully the owners will remember what's important - happy and satisfied guests!

I'm only reviewing the marina here and it's simply bad. Use of the toilet is 50 cents. Is it still possible? The homepage mentions several showers. There is a. Permanent users are allowed to swim, fish and grill on the deck. Guests who are there for one or two days are not allowed to do this. The privileges of others make the yacht club unsympathetic. Everything around it seems aloof. Old people and people with disabilities cannot access the large staircase.

Very nice team. We were there briefly for a coffee. The view of the lake is wonderful.

Unfortunately the restaurant is not open all the time. Only the small lower area where you can't eat properly. The staff was also not polite and didn't want to help. We left hungry again and won't be coming back.

The cod is already getting points because of the beautiful location! Right on the lake with a beautiful terrace. We were given a beautiful space, friendly service and the food was served at a good pace. Very good home cooking, definitely recommended. The many decorated champagne bottles 🍾 have probably already seen one or two parties.

I love sitting outside overlooking the lake . The food is always good. The service was a bit slow this time and there is no bread and butter. We got served a tiny portion of a bit dry pasta salad as amuse bouche. Was not impressed.

Das Restaurant hat 21 Uhr Küchenschluss und nimmt auch 5-6 Minuten vorher keine Bestellungen mehr an, sondern schickt einen an die Bar - die sich selbst darüber wundern. Dort dann eine gute Barkarte mit guter Qualität und fairen Preisen, aber leider auch nicht mehr. Den Thunfisch mit Gurkensalat mache ich demnächst zuhause in besser. Die Kombination ist schon sehr gut, aber warum nicht etwas Wasabi ans Salatdressing und ein Sesammantel an den Thunfisch. Etwas mehr Ambition, bitte!

It's really nice to sit down by the water. It's self-service, but the prices are reasonable. The gentleman behind the bar gave the impression that he preferred to chat with the other gentlemen, who seemed to belong there, rather than serve. Well, I'm a bit older and it seems to show that I don't belong to the chic guild.

It was pure coincidence that we ended up stranded here. Great atmosphere, delicious food and very friendly and attentive service. We look forward to a reunion. Thank you for the lovely evening 👍🏽

First a drink in the garden, then delicious, creative food - I would love to do it again

A beautifully located restaurant with excellent cuisine. It was a pleasure to eat there. The service was also very friendly and quick. We were able to dock our motor yacht very easily at the yacht club. A very nice marina.

We were able to get a table...it was very pleasant to enjoy the food for about 2 hours as the storm was raging outside.

The cod was excellent, the zander nothing out of the ordinary. The service was very friendly until the tip came. A good 10% was apparently not enough. Seating and view were ok.
