Das Dorsch in Bad Saarow

The service was a bit stressful, but still very friendly. Otherwise perfect location, super delicious food.

It's like in the GDR here. Half the store is empty, but apparently everything is reserved. Since we had a baby with us, that was probably the reason for the lack of hospitality.

Exceptionally good restaurant with a great location right on the lake. The food was excellent, steak perfectly pink. We also had a soup that was simply amazing in terms of taste. The menu is very meat/fish-heavy (top for me), but vegetarians will also find something on the menu. There is a nice selection of wines and is particularly nice for drivers: There are common aperitifs and drinks such as Gin Tonic, Hugo and Aperol Spritz, all also available as non-alcoholic versions that taste very good. The service is very nice, everything just took a while (like taking orders, clearing the table after the meal), so only four stars for the service. But that wasn't the fault of the waiters themselves, I suspect that there weren't enough people. In any case, the service staff had a lot to do. In my opinion the best restaurant in the Bad Saarow region, absolutely recommended.

Great hosts, great food - everything was great

Thank you and respect in difficult times for an always excellent and stable restaurant offering that is rarely found in Bad Saarow! Wonderfully well-kept location on the Scharmützelsee and an ambitious, creative kitchen without any fancy frills - the chef really has what it takes... Even though it was packed, we were never turned away. After a meal at “Dorsch” you drive home happily.

Good, solid cuisine with fresh regional ingredients, the best view of the lake and friendly staff.

Quality has its price. There is no other way to describe it and it is only meant as a compliment!

Delicious food, attentive service, a varied menu also for vegans/vegetarians and my personal highlight was that there was a surprise bag, children's glasses and cutlery for my three-year-old child. That's very rare.

Great location. Great food. Service in the restaurant was a bit rude at first, but then very good. Went to dinner in the restaurant and the next day in the afternoon for a snack on the harbor terrace. The cod is definitely a recommendation! The only downer: all the “empties”! There are empty Ruinart Rosé bottles everywhere.

Very chic restaurant. We have reserved a table for a silver wedding anniversary. It started to rain and the service staff spontaneously organized our "move" inside. The service was very good and the employees were very friendly. The restaurant is rather upscale, so the prices are a bit higher. However, it is worth it as the food was very good in terms of taste and quality. If desired, the chanterelle pasta could be ordered vegetarian (without chorizo). There is a large non-alcoholic drinks menu including non-alcoholic aperitifs (e.g. Aperol etc.!). Highly recommended.

Sit down, bang on vacation! Whether it's a snack for lunch or just a delicious meal in the evening, it's a great place.

It has been 9 years that I m continuously coming in the summer, Dorsch had always been quaint, beside being a historical restaurant. In the last 7 years they have been upping their game year after year, their cuisine has now reached a refined level seldom seen outside Berlin. They source mostly their products within Brandenburg, their service was faultless the last time we came, the view from the terrace on the lake is outstanding, and the customers tend to be very much the type looking for either good cuisine or quietness in a refined surroundings. Dorsch is definitely contributing to return the lake to its former pre war glory as an upper destination in the region, and food wise they can pretend for a "Bib Gourmand" or join the Slow food consortium

always an experience, great harbor (always there by boat), first "arrive" at the champagne bar and then eat in the restaurant 😋😋, then end the evening in a great ambience

Excellent food. Good service, but with a deduction due to the lack of an English card for my colleagues from abroad. You can use Google translate, but you don't really want to. PS: we paid almost exactly €60 per person for the main course, desserts and two drinks per person.

The food from the outdoor kitchen is very tasty and you can sit very comfortably by the lake. But it was extremely unpleasant to hear the cook outside loudly being folded for breaking the deep fryer. "You don't have to grin so stupidly. I'm losing 1,000 euros a day because of you!"

Wir waren inspiriert durch die guten Bewertungen im Netz und versuchten Es ohne Reservierung. Wir hatten Glück und wurden von einer sehr resoluten etwas unterkühlt wirkenden Dame platziert. Von da an wurden wir von einer sehr jungen Kellnerin bedient...Absolut kompetent und umsichtig. Dann wurden Getränke bestellt. Da es sehr heiß war gab es auch eine Flasche Wasser. Diese kostete 8,00€. Ja...Es ist alles teurer geworden, aber das nenne ich mal vorsichtig..SPORTLICH! Es ging weiter mit einem Gruß aus der Küche. Dieser bestand aus einem großen Esslöffel Suppe ohne Brot. Dann hatten wir ein Dreigang Menü. Suppe. Hauptgang und Dessert. Der Hauptgang..Ochsenbäckchen...für über 29€ bestand aus etwas Püree, etwas Wurzelgemüse und EINEM Handteller großen Stück Fleisch. Es war alles gut gekocht und geschmacklich in Ordnung. Mehr aber auch nicht. Wir haben insgesamt 130€ im Restaurant gelassen und waren trotzdem noch hungrig...Und Das obwohl wir keine besonders starke Esser sind. Fazit: Man kann im Dorsch ganz gut essen. Allerdings sollte man nicht ausgehungert dort erscheinen....Dann wird man definitiv nicht satt.

Small beer (0.33L) 4.50. If you're not a regular, you can pick it up from the counter and bring it to your seat yourself, but you'll be used to it. If you then give a 15% tip (in a state of mental derangement), no one would think of saying “thank you”. Nice place - the rest is absolute crap.

The staff is completely overloaded and the staff there is unfriendly, arrogant and overwhelmed with the workload. Rarely have I seen such unpleasant people.

Very great atmosphere, gladly again

We have been coming to Dorsch for many years and so did last weekend. Unfortunately, the friendly and warm atmosphere is no longer noticeable. A pity. The staff is tense and inflexible. The prices are also extremely high for what is on offer. Hopefully the owners will remember what's important - happy and satisfied guests!

I'm only reviewing the marina here and it's simply bad. Use of the toilet is 50 cents. Is it still possible? The homepage mentions several showers. There is a. Permanent users are allowed to swim, fish and grill on the deck. Guests who are there for one or two days are not allowed to do this. The privileges of others make the yacht club unsympathetic. Everything around it seems aloof. Old people and people with disabilities cannot access the large staircase.

Very nice team. We were there briefly for a coffee. The view of the lake is wonderful.

Unfortunately the restaurant is not open all the time. Only the small lower area where you can't eat properly. The staff was also not polite and didn't want to help. We left hungry again and won't be coming back.

The cod is already getting points because of the beautiful location! Right on the lake with a beautiful terrace. We were given a beautiful space, friendly service and the food was served at a good pace. Very good home cooking, definitely recommended. The many decorated champagne bottles 🍾 have probably already seen one or two parties.

Solid, home-style regional cuisine at the marina at fair prices. Very nice outdoor area with a direct view of the lake and the boat harbor. Attentive and friendly service.

I love sitting outside overlooking the lake . The food is always good. The service was a bit slow this time and there is no bread and butter. We got served a tiny portion of a bit dry pasta salad as amuse bouche. Was not impressed.

Das Restaurant hat 21 Uhr Küchenschluss und nimmt auch 5-6 Minuten vorher keine Bestellungen mehr an, sondern schickt einen an die Bar - die sich selbst darüber wundern. Dort dann eine gute Barkarte mit guter Qualität und fairen Preisen, aber leider auch nicht mehr. Den Thunfisch mit Gurkensalat mache ich demnächst zuhause in besser. Die Kombination ist schon sehr gut, aber warum nicht etwas Wasabi ans Salatdressing und ein Sesammantel an den Thunfisch. Etwas mehr Ambition, bitte!

It's really nice to sit down by the water. It's self-service, but the prices are reasonable. The gentleman behind the bar gave the impression that he preferred to chat with the other gentlemen, who seemed to belong there, rather than serve. Well, I'm a bit older and it seems to show that I don't belong to the chic guild.

It was pure coincidence that we ended up stranded here. Great atmosphere, delicious food and very friendly and attentive service. We look forward to a reunion. Thank you for the lovely evening 👍🏽

First a drink in the garden, then delicious, creative food - I would love to do it again

A beautifully located restaurant with excellent cuisine. It was a pleasure to eat there. The service was also very friendly and quick. We were able to dock our motor yacht very easily at the yacht club. A very nice marina.

We were able to get a table...it was very pleasant to enjoy the food for about 2 hours as the storm was raging outside.

The cod was excellent, the zander nothing out of the ordinary. The service was very friendly until the tip came. A good 10% was apparently not enough. Seating and view were ok.

We had a wonderful evening in the restaurant. Super tasty and unusual food (great combinations). There was nothing wrong with the service either, the employees were so nice, attentive and always courteous. Many thanks to the whole team, service and kitchen! We'll definitely be back.

Service and food (especially steaks) were really very good - two days later we spontaneously went to the bar again. We weren't disappointed here either - good cocktails and attentive service. We'd love to come back.

We arrived without a reservation and we got a table outside. Weather was great cold towards the evening but great for an early April. We ordered and got the red shrimp half kg for an appetizer- great starter, the two fish choices and the filet. Fish was great, flakey and perfectly cooked, nice taste. Daughter said the filet was the best she had ever. Desert was good has well and service by the waitress was great. Only point why I have given a 4 is because we had to wait for over an hour for the food - communication with the kitchen. Recommend.

After a wonderful walk along the shore we came to Café Dorsch, which is now called “Das Dorsch”. This renaming aroused a suspicion in us, which was immediately fulfilled. Although the outside area is very nicely decorated - the reception was a bit frosty until reserved - we were then asked for a reservation. Which we didn't have. We were then graciously seated at a table for two, which had a view of a wall for one of us. Presumably to show us who's in charge here. To be clear, the restaurant was just as empty when we left as when we arrived. There would definitely have been places available with a better view. People constantly wanted to hang up our jackets. Unfortunately, we weren't asked whether we wanted to eat something or just drink coffee. We wanted the latter. The coffee was, by good faith, average. Unfortunately, the cake couldn't achieve this average. A mini kringel called a Frankfurter Kranz and a Black Forest cake, also mini, were both tasteless and without content. In the best case scenario, thawed goods. Conclusion: Das Dorsch is not recommended with coffee, which is why it is no longer said that, and real friendliness towards guests should be worked on.

Here the customer is still king. Even your jacket/coat is taken away. The food is a delight for the palate. We both ate a steak.

My visit to “Das Dorsch” on Scharmützelsee was a real highlight. The starter was a dream, followed by a main course that exceeded every expectation and a dessert that rounded off the evening perfectly. Each course was a feast for the senses, characterized by fresh ingredients and creative preparation. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service. The staff was exceptionally attentive and accommodating, and their wine recommendations were top notch. At around 50 euros per person for a 3-course meal including wine, the restaurant offers excellent value for money. I can only warmly recommend this gem on Scharmützelsee and am already looking forward to my next visit with friends. 😊👌

Eine Willlkommenskultur die Ihresgleichen sucht. Ganz wunderbarer Service. Ich wurde platziert am, für mich, schönsten Aussichtspunkt den das Restaurant anzubieten hat. Der Mantel wurde abgenommen und an die Garderobe gehangen. In angenehmen Abständen wurde bei jedem Gang einmal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist. Ganz klare Empfehlung. Auch für Familien geeignet Hochstühle sind vorhanden. Die Speisekarte ist so ausgewählt, dass jeder etwas finden kann. Von Suppe über Steak alles dabei. Für Weinkenner und Liebhaber auch zu empfehlen. Große Weinkarte ist vor Ort.

als erstes was nicht so schön war: der Steak war zäh, obwohl er auf separater Speisekarte mit "Geschichte" präsentiert wurde. enttäuschend dafür waren die Garnelen als Vorspeise sehr gut (wobei sehr teuer), Bier war lecker (Erdinger vom Fass findet man selten) und Dorsch war lecker. große Auswahl an Wein. Personal sehr freundlich und immer da, wenn man sie braucht

Wie schon oft geschrieben: ein besonderer Ort, wunderschöne Lage. Essen war ok, aber ob jetzt besonders hochklassig ...hm, naja... ist ja auch eine individuelle Beurteilung. mein Dessert war lecker : Apfel-Karamell-Törtchen würde ich tatsächlich weiterempfehlen. Meine Vorstellung von Service ist leider auch eine andere...aber nunja, ist ja so'ne Sache heute mit den Fachkräften in der Gastronomie... und was gar nicht ging, waren die klebenden, unsauberen Streuer für Salz & Pfeffer!
