Great view of Lake Scharmützelsee! I spent a few days of wellness in Bad Saarow with a friend, and we often went to the Dorsch for dinner and enjoyed the fantastic view of Lake Scharmützelsee in the evenings. The menu leaves nothing to be desired. After dinner, you could end the evening in the hotel's own bar down by the small pier. Truly beautiful!

The moment you enter, you sense the special atmosphere of the establishment. The stylish ambience, combined with an impressive location directly on Lake Scharmützelsee, creates the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening. We were seated on the beautiful terrace and had a stunning view of the small marina – a true postcard picture. The Dorsch's culinary offerings are of the highest standard. The cuisine impresses with quality, refinement, and attention to detail. Every course was a delight. I would particularly like to emphasize the excellent service: attentive, warm, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. Here, you feel truly welcome and appreciated as a guest. The Dorsch is definitely a place you'll gladly return to. For anyone who values excellent food, professional service, and an exceptional ambiance, this restaurant is a true insider tip in the region.

Wir haben in schöner Atmosphäre auf der Terrasse des Dorsch mit vier Personen mehrere Gänge gegessen und Apertiv und Wein getrunken und es war alles ausgezeichnet. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise völlig angemessen. Ein Lokal, welches man gerne öfter besuchen kann. Der einzige negative Punkt (den man aber dem Dorsch nicht anlasten kann): Zwischen der Terrasse und dem Seeufer liegt eine Marina, die uns mit unangenehmem Krach (Musik konnte man dies nicht nennen) gestört hat.

Bei allem guten Ambiente muss ich den Umgang mit Gästen rügen. Ich hatte bereits vor Wochen für den 9.7.25 einen Tisch bestellt , diese Bestellung wurde auch bestätigt. Vor zwei Tagen rief eine Mitarbeiterin des Restaurants an und teilte mir mit, dass leider infolge Überbuchung kein Tisch mehr frei wäre und man uns auf die Yachtclubterrasse platzieren müsse. Diese stellt jedoch eher einen besseren Imbiss dar und ist für mich nicht akzeptabel.

Wir waren erstmalig vor 3 Jahren hier. Es hatte uns gut gefallen. Heute anlässlich des Geburtstages meines Mannes ein Besuch um 17 Uhr. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste, an einem Mittwoch. Eine super engagierte Kellnerin, mit Spass an der Arbeit, begrüßte uns und gab uns einen Tisch mit Blick auf den See. Wir nahmen jeder einen Martini, 1 Flasche Wasser und eine köstliche Flasche Emil Bauer Grauburgunder, 2 Espressi an Getränken. Jeder wählte 3 Gänge und ich, Fresssack , noch 1 Nachtisch. Der Matjes ein Träumchen, das Spargelsüppchen köstlich. Wir zahlten um 140 €.. völlig angemessen, eher günstig für uns Großstädter. Qualität wirklich gut. Wir verstehen die schlechten Bewertungen nicht. Die Portionen sind völlig ausreichend. Ich aß die Spargelsuppe auf, den Ziegenkäse auf rote Beete nur zur Hälfte und den Matjes ebenfalls nur zur Hälfte. Ich war Papp satt. Viele Menschen orientieren sich an Menge und nicht an Qualität. Auch ein Unternehmen muss leben und hier ist definitiv keine Überteuerung am Start. Wir kommen wieder.

Great location, very good food.

Fantastic cured beef brisket, or Tafelspitz in my language. I'm a fan of this dish and have never tasted such a delicious beef brisket in horseradish sauce. My wife had the herring, and that was also a dream. I fully recommend it, nothing to complain about, and I'd have it again anytime.

Very good and delicious food with a wonderful view of the lake. Unfortunately, the meal took a little longer to arrive because not all of the chefs were available.

Delicious, unusual dishes, friendly, very attentive service. Expansive views of Lake Scharmützelsee and the maritime activity on it. Music plays at a pleasant volume downstairs in the yacht club. Only the restrooms are a bit cramped, but the pleasant atmosphere quickly makes up for that.

An evening of ups and downs at "Das Dorsch" Our visit to the restaurant began promisingly. The food was delicious, the drinks refreshing, and the service in the restaurant area was first-class – attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, a visit to the Yacht Club bar dampened the positive impression. The waiter there was notable for his unfriendly manner when serving drinks. Particularly disappointing was an incident in which we were subjected to homophobic insults after only half an hour of playing cards. The waiter called us "gay" and asked us to leave the restaurant, even though there were about 10 other guests present, with whom he then discussed the incident and insulted us. Particularly disturbing was that the waiter was visibly drunk and showed no remorse after we pointed out his unacceptable behavior and poor service. As we left the bar, we tried to avoid the whole incident and leave with a neutral "bye," but the waiter couldn't let it go and responded with further verbal barbs. This experience left a bitter aftertaste and casts a shadow over the restaurant's otherwise positive image. After consulting with local residents, the waiter had apparently been known to be unruly on several occasions. It's unfortunate that such a nice restaurant leaves such a negative impression due to the behavior of a single employee. We hope that those in charge of "Das Dorsch" take measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future.

If you've always dreamed of being treated like a supplicant in a restaurant, welcome to Dorsch! The staff is a master at making you feel out of place. Friendliness? Apparently only on the menu, and even then, it's hard to find. The service fluctuates somewhere between bored aloofness and cultivated arrogance—respect, that's something you have to consistently maintain. If you're hungry for good food and a dose of condescension, this is the place for you.

We know Dorsch from the past. Back then, we thought it was an excellent restaurant. Today's summary: The food wasn't tasty. They offered Parmesan cheese, but it cost an extra €4. The pasta wasn't homemade, and the shrimp were substandard. Furthermore, the sauce was "refined" with coconut milk, which should have been clearly stated on the menu. All in all: a complete flop. Ambience isn't everything. It's a shame.

The view from this deck restaurant will leave you speechless! If you come during sunset, it will be a pleasant experience. The dishes are well-portioned and taste good. The staff was very kind and attentive.

A visit to Bad Saarow should be crowned with a visit to this "institution." The view over the lake is just as unique as the ambiance, service, and warmth, as well as the food. Admittedly, this wasn't our first time here, and we're not the only ones to notice this. Famous names make up the guest gallery. But it had to be said again. Update May 18, 2025: Unfortunately, you can't celebrate your birthday every day, but when you celebrate it with dinner at Dorsch, you'll definitely get that idea. It was, as always, simply wonderful.

This is how good cooking works... We really enjoyed the evening at “Das Dorsch”. Very tasty food, attentive but unobtrusive service and an excellent selection of desserts. I ordered two portions because I didn't want to choose. Very good, honest and regional cuisine, without a lot of chichi. But both visually and tastefully very appealing and of a high standard. We'll see each other again on our next stay in Bad Saarow.

Spontaneously discovered “Das Dorsch”... a TOP 100% point location...!!! It almost couldn't be better. View over the lake, boat dock in front of the door, peace and relaxation included. We were in the outdoor area, service was good, food (truffle kebab) was first class... Only 4 stars each for service and ambience here because we only enjoyed the outdoor area... but we will probably give away the 3x5 stars 🌟 on the next visit.... You should definitely have been HERE = risk of addiction for the summer incl.!!! Thanks to the team and owners for THIS location

Very tasty food in a very nice place. Staff friendly, relaxed, accommodating. Pricey, but definitely worth it. The combination with the music from the yacht club was inappropriate.

The restaurant is recommended with restrictions. Unfortunately, the music was too loud and not entirely harmonious for the beautiful location by the lake. In our opinion, subtle music would have been more appropriate and not dance music. Unfortunately, we didn't think the prices were appropriate for the amount of food. Unfortunately, our asparagus salad was a disappointment as it was served with a lot of rocket, which was too dominant in taste. Few dishes and, in our opinion, not enough fish dishes, especially for the location on the lake and the name Dorsch.

A very nice location by the water. We had ordered schnitzel with asparagus and only received a mini schnitzel with a little asparagus, which was also too raw and all very expensive. Absolutely not recommended if you want to be full for high prices. For example, we ate a much better schnitzel in Austria for less money and got up satisfied. Not so in cod.

The Dorsch is not an ordinary restaurant, but a place where enjoyment is celebrated. The atmosphere is stylish and at the same time pleasantly relaxed. Dogs seem to be friendly welcome. Hugo and Campari orange came to the table at the start ice cold, fresh, tangy and with enough charm. The menu is a homage to fine cuisine with a maritime touch. Every place setting was flawless – both in terms of taste and appearance. The service? Attentive, charming and with a keen sense of timing. In short: Dorsch is a place you'll want to return to - not just because of the food, but because of the overall experience. For anyone looking for something special: a recommendation!

Just wow. Super tasty 😍💪. Very beautiful surroundings. Incredible service, extremely polite staff. They understood me with my English (which, believe me, is difficult😂), and arranged a small celebration 🥳. We ordered 🍤 shrimp (I recommend)/ Miami (steak 🥩) and fish fingers for the child. Everything is very tasty. Wine / beer / water. The check was 111 euros - we were pleasantly surprised. And the view from the window and the birds singing, just wow. In short, we sincerely recommend 🤍🤍

Wir gehen immer sehr gerne in Das Dorsch wenn wir in Bad Saarow sind. Nun sind wir nicht wie viele andere Saarow Gäste jedes Wachende dort, wir kochen auch gern @home, aber dennoch recht häufig! Wir schätzen den Service und die Küche sehr und sind meistens sehr happy. Am letzten Freitag waren wir wieder mit der ganzen Family (5) dort und hatten es sehr schön. Ruinart, Garnelen, Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge, Dessert…. Einzig moniere ich die Tatsache, dass ich bei der Reservierung gesagt habe, wir feiern den Geburtstag meiner Frau und das wurde auch notiert bei der telefonischen Reservierung. Trotz mehrfacher Hinweise während des Abends wurde darauf nicht eingegangen, was ich schade finde. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend als Family und entsprechend war die Rechnung- alles prima- aber so eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit wäre doch nett gewesen- wenn es nur ein Happy Birthday verbal gewesen wäre. Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder:-)

A special restaurant in Bad Saarow with a long history, excellent food, the best lake view, loving furnishings and excellent service right on the lake.

Ich war mit meinem Sohn aufgrund der guten Bewertungen zum Mittagessen. Das Ambiente war top. Wir hatten einen Hauptgang bestellt, welcher von der Menge eher einer Vorspeise glich. Das Essen war geschmacklich ganz gut, aber wie gesagt zu wenig und dafür viel zu teuer. Kleine Softgetränke 0.2 l ab 4,50 € sind ebenfalls völlig überteuert. Das war mal ein Versuch. Wir gehen dann wohl doch wieder zur neuen Bühne am Bahnhof.

It's really crazy what the chefs can come up with in such a short time and in a great mood. We had a lot of fun, the service was great. We'll definitely be back.

Nach einer wunderbaren Uferwanderung kamen wir zum Café Dorsch, das jetzt "Das Dorsch" heißt. Diese Umbenennung hat eine Vermutung in uns geweckt, der auch gleich entsprochen wurde. Wenn auch der Außenbereich sehr nett dekoriert ist - der Empfang war etwas frostig bis reserviert - wir wurden dann nach einer Reservierung gefragt. Die wir nicht hatten. Daraufhin wurden wir gnädig an einen Zweiertisch platziert, der für einen von uns die Aussicht auf eine Wand bereit hielt. Vermutlich, um uns zu zeigen, wer hier das Sagen hat. Um es vorweg zu nehmen, das Restaurant war, als wir es verlassen haben, genauso leer wie bei unserer Ankunft. Es wären durchaus Plätze mit besserer Sicht verfügbar gewesen. Permanent wollte man unsere Jacken weghängen. Ob wir etwas essen wollen oder nur Kaffee trinken, fragte man leider nicht. Wir wollten Letzteres. Der Kaffee war mit gutem Willen durchschnittlich. Der Kuchen konnte diese Durchschnittlichkeit leider nicht erreichen. Ein als Frankfurter Kranz bezeichneter Minikringel und ein Schwarzwälder Kirsch Törtchen, ebenso Mini, waren beide geschmack- und inhaltslos. Im besten Falle Auftauware. Fazit: zum Kaffee ist Das Dorsch nicht empfehlenswert, deshalb heißt es auch nicht mehr so, an der echten Freundlichkeit gegenüber Gästen sollte gearbeitet werden.

After a wonderful walk along the shore we came to Café Dorsch, which is now called “Das Dorsch”. This renaming aroused a suspicion in us, which was immediately fulfilled. Although the outside area is very nicely decorated - the reception was a bit frosty until reserved - we were then asked for a reservation. Which we didn't have. We were then graciously seated at a table for two, which had a view of a wall for one of us. Presumably to show us who's in charge here. To be clear, the restaurant was just as empty when we left as when we arrived. There would definitely have been places available with a better view. People constantly wanted to hang up our jackets. Unfortunately, we weren't asked whether we wanted to eat something or just drink coffee. We wanted the latter. The coffee was, by good faith, average. Unfortunately, the cake couldn't achieve this average. A mini kringel called a Frankfurter Kranz and a Black Forest cake, also mini, were both tasteless and without content. In the best case scenario, thawed goods. Conclusion: Das Dorsch is not recommended with coffee, which is why it is no longer said that, real friendliness towards guests should be worked on.

Very nice tasteful atmosphere. The food is very tasty and sometimes something different, for example the pumpkin and mango soup with smoked duck breast strips. We waited over 1.5 hours for our main course... The flank steak could have been softer. The cod fillet, on the other hand, is highly recommended. In our opinion, for a more upscale restaurant, the service could have been even better and friendlier, for example by asking if you liked it.

It's like in the GDR here. Half the store is empty, but apparently everything is reserved. Since we had a baby with us, that was probably the reason for the lack of hospitality.

Exceptionally good restaurant with a great location right on the lake. The food was excellent, steak perfectly pink. We also had a soup that was simply amazing in terms of taste. The menu is very meat/fish-heavy (top for me), but vegetarians will also find something on the menu. There is a nice selection of wines and is particularly nice for drivers: There are common aperitifs and drinks such as Gin Tonic, Hugo and Aperol Spritz, all also available as non-alcoholic versions that taste very good. The service is very nice, everything just took a while (like taking orders, clearing the table after the meal), so only four stars for the service. But that wasn't the fault of the waiters themselves, I suspect that there weren't enough people. In any case, the service staff had a lot to do. In my opinion the best restaurant in the Bad Saarow region, absolutely recommended.

Thank you and respect in difficult times for an always excellent and stable restaurant offering that is rarely found in Bad Saarow! Wonderfully well-kept location on the Scharmützelsee and an ambitious, creative kitchen without any fancy frills - the chef really has what it takes... Even though it was packed, we were never turned away. After a meal at “Dorsch” you drive home happily.
