For €19, 3 pork medallions about the size of a thumb plus 5 croquettes and cauliflower are a bit low in my opinion. The service was great and I also think the rather rustic furnishings are great. Only the music was a bit too loud if you wanted to have a conversation

I can't say anything about the food or the service. The facility or the paddocks of the horses are very unkempt, some of the horses are standing in mud. The stable boy is rudeness personified, I've never seen such a terrible person

Went there today for dinner after the motorcycle tour on the recommendation of a good friend. The food is absolutely good, just like it was at grandma's and mother's home back then. Thanks for that, keep it up.

The food (burgers & fries) were good but a bit overpriced. However, that is the only positive aspect: the service was not only unfriendly, but also rude across borders and service is non-existent. The beer garden and the sanitary facilities are extremely run down: in the toilet rooms it is not only the very rocky atmosphere that is noticeable - the faucet for washing your hands only dispenses water drop by drop, the soap and drying towels were used up. Overall, unfortunately not recommended.

First of all I have to say: Food was delicious. Not much choice on a very needy menu. Despite the poor menu, the food was fresh and attractively prepared. The waitress (a lady) was unfriendly and generally not accommodating. You had to get your own food. Drinks were brought, but if you had to pay, you had to take away your empty glass. If I had known that it was only self-service, except that drinks were occasionally brought to us, I wouldn't have tipped for the service either. All in all it was a bad experience that I don't want to experience again.

Came across the beer garden by chance, which was not very busy due to the weather. I've never experienced anything like this: here you wear your heart on your sleeve. We had a really great evening with the staff in a very good mood. The food was freshly prepared on the grill and very tasty. It's self-service, so if you complain about waiting too long, it's your own fault. Overall, it was a great evening where everything was just right. When some people complain about the condition (dirt): it's a beer garden with a riding facility where the tables and benches are in the sand, I don't know what you'd expect. The place was very clean. When there is a lot of activity here, something from the beer garden is of course brought inside. It's very cozy. We felt comfortable, were well looked after, had a good time and would love to come back 👍

Great, typical German, food. We enjoyed the grilled chicken with Bratkartoffel und pfifferlinge. It was clocked over open flame and it was delicious! The environment is very rustic, a flavour of the Wild West. Highly recommended!

We go there almost every weekend for a beer and wine 🥰. Everyone on the estate is super nice 👍 the food is very tasty and high quality. It is always associated with fun and relaxation 🤩. Thanks that you exist. I just can't control my husband when we're there😂😂😂I just say the horn 😂

Totally filthy, overpriced beer garden. Umbrellas could easily be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. But everyone seems to be too lazy. Just keep an eye on the dollar signs and rip off the guests.

The drinks are slightly overpriced for self-service. The counter service rudely insists that the glasses go to the right place and not at the distribution point😂 Burgers are good. Very nice seating options.

We got a table for 11 people at short notice on Saturday. Service was very nice with Ruhrpott heart and friendliness. The food was very plentiful and tasty, even the children's wishes were catered for. We recommend.

Well suited for larger groups. The service is friendly, the prices, especially for drinks, are comparatively high, especially for non-alcoholic beer: beer 0.5L €5| non-alcoholic 0.3 L €4! Food is standard.

We like the atmosphere in this restaurant...cozy, friendly and very relaxed. The crackling of the fire in the fireplace tops it all off. The food menu isn't particularly large - and that's a good thing because everything is freshly prepared. Unfortunately, dishes with poultry are missing... But we still ate very well, at a reasonable price. The operators are very welcoming, the chef personally came to our table and asked how we liked it. We'd love to come back.

Auf einer Radtour hier Mittagspause gemacht. Ab 13.00 Uhr wurde der Grill angemacht. Gute, große und leckere Portionen, z. B. frische Bratheringe mit Kartoffelsalat. Nette Biergarten Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal.

Sehr angenehm nach einer Radtour hier einzukehren und ein gepflegtes Bier zu genießen...

Waren bei gutem Wetter dort im Biergarten. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und es hat uns gut gefallen. Hier muss man die Getränke und das Essen selbst holen/bestellen. Fanden wir aber gut. Es gibt auch noch ein Restaurant innen. Hier waren wir aber nicht.

Ich kann bis jetzt nur über die Außengastronomie urteilen, die ist aber rustikal und gemütlich. Sogar Weißbier vom Fass und total leckere Fritten.

Unser langersehnter Halt auf einer Radtour. Kleine Speisen schnell gut und günstig. Wunderschöner Biergarten.

Ich gehe schon seit einigen Jahren dorthin und das immer wieder gerne. Es gibt mega leckeres Essen bei schöner Atmosphäre, nettem Personal und das draußen bzw bei schlechtem Wetter auch drinnen. Was will man mehr.

Sehr schöner Biergarten und leckeres vom Grill. Ein schöner Platz für eine Pause auf der Radtour.

Ein Highlight auf unserer Wanderung. Tolle Atmosphäre. Gut Steinhaus ist einen Ausflug wert.

Gemütlicher Biergarten. Update 6/23: Seit kurzem heißt es wieder "Gut Steinhausen" , die Speisekarte im Biergarten wurde mächtig eingekürzt und die Preise nach oben angepasst. Trotzdem kann man mit der Qualität der Speisen sehr zufrieden sein. Die Bänke und Tische wurden augemöbelt und neu angeordnet. Der Burger auf dem Bild wurde leider von der Karte genommen 😭 Personal ist freundlich und schnell. Das war daher nicht der letzte Besuch. Update 10/22: Seit Oktober wird das unter dem Namen "Stone House Ranch" geführt.

Selbstbedienung, locker und lustige Bedienung. Das Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und müsste Mal gereinigt werden. Allein die Bierdeckel haben die besten Zeiten lange hinter sich. Kleinigkeiten, die als Service gesehen werden sollten...

Die Gastronomie hat schwer nachgelassen, Preisleistung stimmt hier nicht mehr. Das Essen war wirklich schlecht!

Mit dem Fahrrad ideal dort zu halten ,nette Freundliche Bedienung,haben nur was getrunken.Dort werden wir jetzt öfter hinfahren 👍

Sehr heimelige und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Nette Leute im Service, von denen man gleich herzlich empfangen wird. Für die Essenszubereitung sollte man schon etwas Zeit mitbringen und geduldig sein. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Preise sind vollkommen ok. Hier gilt im übrigen Self Service. Abholen und bezahlen. Haben uns dort wohl gefühlt, und kommen sicher wieder.

Für mich noch ein typischer Ort der alten Ruhrgebietsfreizeitgestaltung. Herzlich offen und direkt.

Rustikal, für den schnellen Hunger. Gut zum kleinen Snak einnehmen wenn man mit dem Fahrrad eine Tour macht. Die Cheffin ist echt klasse drauf. Daumen hoch.....

Geheimtipp, uriger kleiner Biergarten auf einem Reiterhof, mit unglaublich leckeren Pommes.

Wir haben hervorragend gegessen! Die Küchenchefin hat uns persönlich beraten und es war ein sehr leckerer witziger Abend. Vor allem die persönliche Atmosphäre hat uns gut gefallen.
