We always feel right at home at Ollis 🤗 The food and drinks are carefully selected and of the highest quality. Everything is made with love and passion. That's why we love coming to Ollis so much! There's always a warm, comfortable atmosphere 🥰 Many thanks to the couple who own Ollis and the entire team for the attentive service!

I highly recommend this restaurant! The family atmosphere created by the warm and attentive team makes every visit special. The food tastes absolutely delicious – the dishes are still prepared with passion and individuality. Parking is excellent – ​​right on site, plentiful, and free. Yes - VERY attentive service!!!

We were at Gysenberg Park today and saw that the restaurant also serves waffles to go. So we went inside and ordered two waffles. At first, we had to wait at least 15 minutes for the waffles. Unfortunately, when we finally got them, they were burnt. At first, we thought only one of them was burnt, but with my waffle, they simply turned the burnt side down and sprinkled it with powdered sugar. Unfortunately, the waffles were inedible as a result.

The ambiance is modern, but not pretentious – cozy, harmonious, and designed to make you feel at home and leave the everyday behind. The service? Perfect. Not intrusive, but always there when you need something. You can tell that these are genuine hosts who live their passion for good food and happy guests. And then the food – simply outstanding. Every dish is a small work of art, thought through down to the last detail and with a creativity rarely found. Every bite was a journey: fresh, aromatic, to the point. This isn't just cooking, it's a celebration. And the drinks – whether classics or signature cocktails, everything is perfectly mixed, with a special twist that transforms the glass into an experience. Ollie's isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where you feel like you're exactly right. Anyone who's been here understands why it's called a "favorite place." I'll definitely be back – and bring all my friends next time. For me, it's clear: Ollie's is an absolute must!

Olli's in Gysenberg is simply a winner! Top-notch quality from starter to finish – whether it's an appetizer, main course, or dessert, everything tastes great here. The chef is a true genius; you can feel the passion and skill behind every bite. What's especially nice is sitting outside in the beer garden, enjoying the sunshine, and this fantastic food – it doesn't get any better! I highly recommend it; you just feel at home here.

In my opinion, one of the top three restaurants in Herne. Super-friendly yet competent service. A great, concise menu (and that's a good thing). The food is high-quality and prepared to perfection. A slice of old apricot on the house as a farewell treat 👌.

Prices are quite overpriced. When I asked if I could have bread, as I had seen at the next table, because I wasn't very hungry, the waiter told me it was just a "nice gesture" and only available with the main course (expensive). If I hadn't been really hungry and thirsty, I would have left. So I ordered a very small, far too expensive cappuccino and a waffle. The waiter then forgot the fork and stood there in the rain with the waffle because he was still talking. Then I waited 20 minutes after asking for the bill... If it weren't in Gysenberg Park, I would have given Atmosphere a star. I can't recommend it. Or maybe the place was just having a bad day.

It's truly a pleasure to dine there. The staff is friendly, and the food always tastes fantastic and rotates seasonally. The drinks selection leaves nothing to be desired. I always enjoy coming back.

If you want to treat yourself, Olli's Restaurant is always a good choice. Compared to what else is on offer in the city, it's outstanding.

We visited Olli's Restaurant in Gysenbergpark on February 15th and were thoroughly pampered. Sandra and Olli are fantastic hosts, just as you would expect. The creative and sophisticated cuisine made for an enjoyable evening. Highly recommended! The photos show some of the dishes from the menu carousel.

Absolutely wonderful and super friendly team, always beautifully decorated and in keeping with the seasons. The seasonally changing menu is always highly recommended. I could choose blindly and would always hit the mark. The quality of the food is also excellent; they still cook properly here, not just open a can.

Wir sind nicht zum ersten und nicht zum letzen Mal bei Ollis gewesen. Speisekarte sehr überschaubar, dafür aber gute Qualität. Mehr Klasse als Masse. Vorher online in die Karte schauen. Normalerweise sollte jeder etwas finden. Geschmacklich sehr gut und lecker. Personal hat ebenfalls 5 * verdient.

After the Ollis is before the Ollis and I could upload a lot more pictures because I like to be there so often. Every dish is a delight! Nowhere else am I as keen to experiment as I am here; I've never disliked something. My current recommendation is the beetroot risotto with corn chicken. The ambience in the restaurant is bathed in GREEN, everything is very harmonious and cozy. We had octopus and goat cheese as a starter. Both very tasty and beautifully prepared. For the main course we had beetroot noodles, a catfish-fish dish and a meat dish. Everything was very tasty and beautifully prepared. For dessert, a waffle with ice cream and strawberries 🍓. It was our first time there, but definitely not the last time. We'll be back.

Wir waren an einem Donnerstag Abend dort. 3 Personen. Wir hatten online reserviert und unser Tisch war schon eingedeckt. Der Service war extreme nett. Das Ambiente im Restaurant ist in GRÜN getaucht, alles sehr stimmig und gemütlich. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Oktopus und Ziegenkäse. Beides sehr lecker und schöne abgerichtet. Als Hauptgang hatten wir Rote Bete Nudeln, ein Wels-Fisch Gericht und ein Fleischgericht. Alles sehr lecker und schöne abgerichtet. Als Dessert noch einen Waffel mit Eis und Erdbeeren 🍓. Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort, aber bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal. Wir kommen wieder.

Very good food, but it’s been a long wait. We waited kind of an hour for the starters, and another one for the mains. They worthed the wait but we were a little bit tired and hungry to appreciate the food without considering the service.

Eine absolute Empfehlung von uns. Essen war sehr lecker. Das Personal ist wirklich immer freundlich. Leider war es zu kalt, um draußen zu sitzen. Der Tisch war reserviert durch uns und bereits liebevoll eingedeckt. Es gibt keinen einzigen Minuspunkt. Gutes Essen hat seinen Preis, nicht jeder kann sich dieses tolle Essen leisten. Wir sind nach alter Tradition nächstes Jahr wieder dort, um meinen Geburtstag mit lieben Kolleginnen zu feiern.

This year we were disappointed: Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time overall, even for cold drinks over 30 minutes (and it wasn't full, several tables were unoccupied); Questions about drinks were not asked at all in the meantime; There was a wrong meal, one service was very friendly, another unfortunately not at all. Some of the food was (very) good, some we weren't satisfied with. Two drinks were forgotten. The fact that three dogs were in the restaurant at the same time bothered us. It was a rainy day, the dog owners came to the restaurant soaked with rain capes and their wet dogs. The smell from the dog at the next table was very unpleasant for those sitting right next to it. We weren't aware of the dogs either; knowing what we knew now, we wouldn't go there again.

Neben dem phantastischen Essen war das Erlebnis im Ollis Restaurant ein rundum wundervoller Nachmittag, da die Mitarbeiter alles und mehr dazu beigetragen haben, dass man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen konnte! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Als Vorspeise haben wir eine mediterrane Scampi-Pfanne gewählt: unschlagbar! Die schönen Gemüse auf den Punkt - wie auch die Scampi. Danach ging es gemäß der Jahreszeit mit Spargel weiter. Meine Frau hat diesen mit Rotbarsch bestellt und ich so typisch deutsch mit Schnitzel (allerdings vom Kalb). Mmmmmh! Im "Ollis" lassen wir uns die begleitenden Weine einfach mal empfehlen: das ist ein wenig spannend und man lernt immer wieder mal was neues kennen. Natürlich weiß Chefin Sandra genau, was wozu passt. Kompliment! Auch für die stets ausgezeichneten, vorrätigen Weine. Schön, dass es das "Ollis" gibt!

Unfortunately it didn't convince us! I more or less had the impression that the waitress herself didn't know what was on the menu! Unfortunately that was our last visit to Ollis! Food was an absolute no-go and very overpriced! Toilets unclean! It's a shame about the money, we're still annoyed about the visit there today!!!!

Im Rahmen des "Menükarrussels" haben wir sowohl Fisch als auch Fleisch gewählt. Konkret waren das perfekter Rotbarsch und ein Filet vom Hirschkalbrücken. Beste Beilagen, die mit den o.g. um unsere Gunst "gestritten" haben. Besser kann es nicht sein!

Es passte alles, von der Reservierung angefangen, das Essen, der Service, das Ambiente...immer wieder prima. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ebenso ok. Sehr sympathisch finde ich, dass es Wasser in einer ansprechenden Flasche vom Haus gibt und sogar einen Absacker zum Abschluss‐ perfekt! Auch die drei anderen Personen waren sehr angetan. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Nette Bedienung, sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet. Das Hühnchen war Butter zart und harmoniert sehr gut mit den Champignongs und dem Porree. Das vegane Mousse war sehr lecker. Wir führten noch ein sehr nettes Gespräch mit der Chefin. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend in einem gemütlichen Ambiente.

The Ollis has been on my bucket list for a long time. Today I finally did it and I'm very excited. A very cozy and modern atmosphere. Small, fine card. You can tell that the hosts have a passion for cooking. The first bottle of water was on the house. It's really rare to experience that. I really enjoyed the duck breast. The vegan Mouse au Chocolat was also delicious. The question of whether it tasted good is not just an empty phrase. Constructive criticism is welcome here. My only complaint was the size of the dessert (I didn't manage to finish it :-). I will gladly come again.

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The location is great. The beer garden is nicely decorated and doesn't have the same atmosphere as others. Update on the Easter boxes 2021: the dishes ordered were shrink-wrapped in portions. Only heat in a water bath and meat in the oven. Every dish is a poem! It tasted like a restaurant! Highly recommended. Update June 2023: The beer garden is very busy when the weather is good, so reserve in advance! Coffee, cold drinks, cakes, waffles and good food make you happy to linger here. Update January 28, 2024: Even though it was busy, the food came in a reasonable time and, as always, was excellently prepared!

Hier ist wirklich nichts zu teuer, abgehobene Preise gibt es vielleicht woanders, aber nicht hier. Ollis (und Sandras) Restaurant ist für den Raum Herne meine 5-Sterne-Topempfehlung - geht mal hin und ihr werdet sehen, dass ich nicht übertrieben habe.

Es war wie immer eine Geschmacksexplosion, kein 0815 mit wunderbaren Service in einem tollen Ambiente!

Die Speisen auf den Punkt aus frischen, hochwertigen Zutaten. Immer innovativ und oft raffiniert zubereitet. Auch vegane Varianten überzeugen in Geschmack und Aussehen! Zusätzlich gibt es auch immer Klassiker der deutschen Küche. Spitze! Die Doradenfilets waren super auf der Haut gebraten, klasse Zusammenspiel mit Püree , Belugalinsen und Rotkohl. Die Papardelle schmeckten zusammen mit dem herrlich zarten Wildschweinragout und den Waldpilzen in der tollen Soße perfekt! Die jungen Gastleute und das freundliche Personal überzeugen durch Kompetenz und Aufmerksamkeit. Hierher kommen wir immer wieder gern.
