Steakhouse Las Malvinas in Berlin

Delicious food, good service and staff. We were very satisfied but absolutely had to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

Their meat is super good, but the surroundings were by no means a good experience. There were too many guests in the restaurant and the waiter did not have time to serve us and had to constantly apologize for things he could not control. We were sitting so close that other guests had to move when we were serving or we had to go in/out. The meat was good but the chef needs to take a course in making sauce, you can't use the same sauce for everything, pepper sauce and bearnaise are two very different sauces and cannot be made from the same base.

After looking at a few steak restaurants, we decided on giving Las Malvinas a go. You won’t be disappointed - genuinely the best steak that me and my partner have had! Everything was cooked perfectly, the sauces/dips are also bang on! Excellent service and very good value for money! 🤩

My wife ordered the Salmon which was very good but the rice was quite dry. I ordered the T-Bone steak and asked for medium. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was rare. I sent it back and when it arrived again, it was just slightly better but not great. I ended up leaving the pink bits and cut out the meat that I could eat. A friend, with us, got the kalbsschnitzel which she did not like. Also, when we arrived, we were told cash only and, as a Swiss resident, I lost over 10% in getting the money out. Altogether, not a great night.

The service and appetizers were excellent. However, the kitchen failed at the core competency of a steakhouse. Only one out of the five beef steaks/fillets we ordered were cooked to the requested "medium" doneness. The other four were "well done" and therefore gray, tough, and dry. We won't be returning.

Super loud, super crowded, super delicious, and super service. Despite the place being incredibly packed, the service and food quality are excellent 👍🏻.

Fantastic food in a pleasant atmosphere.

The staff was incredibly friendly, even though the place was packed. They kept a watchful eye on things and checked immediately if, for example, we were running low on drinks. The food was excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection, just as ordered. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Just my personal opinion. ;) We'll definitely come back when it's not so crowded. :)

We went to Las Malvinas yesterday and it was simply beautiful. Everything was so lovely decorated for Christmas. The tables were set with such care. The waiters were so friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was excellent. It was just such a wonderful evening to spend there. The food was very good, and they recommended such a delicious wine to us. To finish, we treated ourselves to a dessert – lava cake – which was also incredibly tasty. I highly recommend it! And definitely make a reservation! It's very popular! We'll definitely be back! 👍

The restaurant is always busy, so reservations are recommended. The filet and entrecote were absolutely top-notch! Highly recommended!

We ate here twice while visiting Berlin and the food is great very good quality produce, steaks in particular high quality meat. Heads up to the British the steaks come out rare, they are delicious but note what they call medium is rare so if you don’t like it ask for medium well. Service is excellent very quick, competitive prices with a glass of house wine 200ml under £6.00.

The food was great, but our group of eight was ushered out within an hour and a half. There was no time to relax and eat; the main courses arrived before the starters were finished. Such a shame. There was a line outside, which probably explains a lot.

We had a wonderful evening at Las Malvinas. It's centrally located yet somewhat hidden away, which maintains a sense of exclusivity. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were just right. The ambiance is lovely and cozy. The reservation process worked perfectly, and we even got a quieter table. All in all, we'd love to come back again.

The entrecôte was okay, but the service could be improved.

We had a reservation, and when we arrived at the restaurant, we saw a long line of people with other reservations who were also waiting. After 30 minutes, we went inside to see what was going on and when we would finally get a table. We were repeatedly told it would only be another two minutes. Then we were told to please wait in the back by the restroom. We put up with that for another ten minutes and then left when we saw a group of four who arrived after us being seated at two tables for two. The waiters skillfully ignored us and didn't even look at us. When we left, there was an even longer line outside. Names on the reservation weren't checked. The whole thing is poorly managed. Why does a restaurant allow itself to be so overbooked and then tell its guests it will only be two minutes?

The overall package is very coherent!

Outrageous and chaotic – never again! Despite having a reservation on time, I had to wait over 30 minutes while a guest with a later reservation was given priority. The staff was overwhelmed, unfriendly, and completely uninterested. I left. Anyone who makes a reservation here will be ripped off and ignored – an absolute service disaster.

The drinks came quickly even when the house was packed, the food was delicious, the servers were fast and friendly - I recommend it!

Book in advance! This place is extremely busy for good reason. The staff handle it very well and service was excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the apple strudel was delicious. Despite the place being full you could still talk with ease. Very well run.

Packed, packed, packed! A reservation is practically impossible. The two of us decided to go there on the spur of the moment and were lucky to get two seats. We travel a lot for business. The only restaurants we've ever been to that were this full were a Portuguese restaurant in Hamburg and a Spanish restaurant in Berlin at Hackescher Markt. It's crazy how animals in cattle trucks must feel. The food was okay.

I paid €31 for a T-bone steak that was barely edible. It was supposed to be 400 grams, but unfortunately, I could barely eat 100 grams. There was a lot of fat on it that was impossible to cut or chew. When I pointed this out, I did get a new 160-gram steak, which I appreciated. This one was tasty and better.

Despite the restaurant being full, the food arrived within 15 minutes – excellent service! I highly recommend it!

Unassuming from the outside, but fantastic inside. Everyone enjoyed the food, but personally, I found the staff a bit too hectic.

Simply a super Argentinian vibe. The place is very solid. Drinks and food were a breeze. It was exactly our kind of place. I can highly recommend it. The appetizers and main courses are highly recommended. I personally really like the T-bone steak. I can only recommend it. Add to that the fried mushrooms and country potatoes. Simply fantastic. To finish, a Bitburger and that's it.

All I can say is: WOW. Amazing food, amazing service. We were there with a large group and had made a reservation online. Everything went perfectly, and after a quick phone call, we were even able to arrive an hour early. The table was already set, and we received a warm welcome and were treated with the same friendly service throughout the evening. We had a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, and everything was delicious.

Saturday evening: Too crowded and far too loud. The garlic bread and avocado cream didn't seem homemade. The meat was decent, the vegetables tasty. The red wine felt like it was 30 degrees Celsius. Okay for a casual evening with friends, but not recommended for a romantic dinner for two!

The stay was really lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. Then came the disappointment: Perhaps they should wait to clear the last glasses until the guests have left, no matter how many people are standing outside.

Very good steak and side dishes

We had booked the table. However being a long weekend the restaurant was pretty full and many families like us were waiting outside in chilling wind, very anxiously. An inside staff came out with a big tray with a nice wine. Everyone's anger was calmed and there was a pleasant breeze of smile on everyone's face. Such a nice way to handle the situation.

The food was very good. However, the boss or team leader shouldn't discuss personnel matters in front of the guests. I understand that he wasn't amused that two of his colleagues arrived half an hour late, but this is something that can be resolved discreetly in the back office. The ambiance and food were excellent, though.

We were not satisfied at all. Despite having a reservation, there were eight people standing outside the restaurant, and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for our food. The plates were placed on the table without a word. The restaurant was packed, and there were seven or eight people standing outside the door at any time, waiting for tables to become available. The noise level in the restaurant was like a factory canteen. It had little to do with comfort and coziness. The food was good, mid-range, nothing more, nothing less. We discovered this restaurant through the "Berlin Welcome Card," but unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake. There are far better alternatives in Berlin.

The meat was really good. Unfortunately the side dishes and accessories were poor… The worst thing was the service. It was way too busy and the waiters were running around with their heads under their arms. You almost got stressed when you had to order, and they forgot the food. We had to ask for our food several times and waited over an hour before it was served. The only person who spoke to us while we were waiting was a young cleaner…. The experienced waiter and what looked like the boss himself had no idea what was going on.
