Just tried to have a 400gr. rib eye, first impression that that cow died not in the slaughter house, but from solid age. The meat was not eatable, probably easier would be to handle car tire. Service is good but kitchen chef should be fired

We celebrated my husband's birthday there on a Sunday. There were three adults and three children. From ordering to receiving the food, everything went perfectly. The waiters were all very friendly, courteous, and always made an effort to ensure our guests were happy. Guests' requests are always met (whether they want their steak medium, rare, or well done). I highly recommend it to everyone. 100 points! For six people, we spent around €130 (including starter, main course, dessert, and drinks).

Unfortunately, my visit today was a disappointment. The server didn't ask how we liked the food. When I asked, she seemed unfriendly. My dish with the three meats wasn't cooked medium rare as requested, but rather well done. The salad seemed very poorly presented. Overall, the service lacked attentiveness, and the food didn't match what we ordered. This rating is based on my experience.

I recently ate there for the first time in over 30 years. And I have to say, everything is just like it was back then. They serve super delicious steaks at really reasonable prices. Once "Sitting Bull," always Sitting Bull! Wow!

Shocking! We ate there yesterday for the first and last time. The steak wasn't great, the sour cream was pretty disgusting. The garlic bread was super delicious! I ordered the salmon in cream sauce with baked potato, sour cream, garlic bread, and a small salad. When the food arrived, the sight was initially unappealing: the entire plate was swimming in cream sauce, mixed with the sour cream. After searching around, I found the salmon, about 5x5 cm in size, drowned in the sauce. I was a bit surprised to get so little salmon for €28.90. Unfortunately, the salmon was extremely dry and almost inedible. Cooked far too long. The real disaster, after my garlic bread soaked up the sea of ​​my sauce and drowned itself, was: THE CREAM SAUCE! I love all kinds of cream sauces. To describe the sauce: a few pieces of onion in a kind of roux, topped with cream and sugar!!! I have never eaten such a disgusting sauce with salmon in my entire life. If they had added a little vanilla instead of onion, it would have been perfect for a sweet dessert. I couldn't eat it, as much as I wanted to. I asked the older female waitress if the chef had perhaps confused salt with sugar. She looked completely shocked and annoyed, stressing that there was no sugar in the kitchen and that this couldn't be right. She looked at me reproachfully and asked what was going on, then took my plate with her, annoyed, and told me she would bring me salmon without sauce. What came next, however, was the ultimate shock. I got a new plate 5 minutes later, served with my old baked potatoes, the sour cream, still mixed with the disgusting cream sauce - and my salmon, which was washed in the kitchen and then quickly thrown into the deep fryer. I wasn't brought new cutlery, even though the lady took my old one. The salmon was now even drier than before and inedible. I could only eat part of the snack salad, the piece of garlic bread, and a tiny portion of my baked potato from my original meal. Finally, we were asked if everything was okay, by the same lady 😁. We told her very politely that my meal was inedible. She got very angry, stared at us for a long time, and then left the table with the plates without a word. She didn't come out either, so we went inside to pay. There, they actually gave us €3.50 off my drink and charged us the entire price for this inedible "dish." No apology, no refund, terrible service. On a positive note, the other gentleman who served that evening was super friendly! I've eaten everywhere. Something like that has never happened to me in my entire life. I would like to give -10 stars for their service, the salmon and sauce, the price charged for it, and the immature reaction.

Even with a larger group, you can be pampered here. Whether outside or inside, the furniture is comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Drinks and food are quickly ordered and prepared. Everyone receives their food at the same time and can eat it together. At the end, everyone received a small drink on the house. It certainly won't be our last visit here. :)

Good steak, the chicken also well seasoned, a large baked potato with delicious sour cream. The spare ribs didn't quite match the look or taste (steamed?), but they were also tender. Overall, a decent steakhouse with fair prices.

Rarely have I eaten so well in such a wonderful atmosphere. Super friendly and personable service. He does a truly excellent job. The food is very high quality. Large portions. You've got us on our backs now! We'd gladly drive 40 km to get there!

Very good steak house with many nice dishes to choose from. Perfect medium rare and tender and nice meat. The fries were crispy and warm and the bread was divine. Nice with a mixed salad that was very good as a starter at no extra cost.

We chose our meal from the lunch menu, which was delicious and plentiful. Since we were sitting outside, we hadn't seen it before. The first floor, in particular, is beautifully and comfortably furnished, which is definitely worth a visit in the evening.

I've been going to this steakhouse since I was little and it's by far the best I've ever been to. The food is always delicious and the service is also great. The staff are super friendly and pay attention to the needs of the guests. I have never had any problems here and will continue to come here. Really a great restaurant.

The service was very friendly and accommodating, offering recommendations on the best places to eat. We enjoyed the steak, and because we were the only guests upstairs due to a misunderstanding, it was nice and quiet. (Well, the waiter said we could choose from all the tables, so we went upstairs; it was closer to the toilet.) Hopefully, his effort was sufficiently offset by our tip, as the kitchen is on the ground floor. We would go back anytime, and I don't think I'd want to eat steak anywhere else.

We have been driving from Burgdorf to Celle for 20 years to eat the best steaks here. We have never been disappointed here! We always eat the rib-eye steak and the meat is always cooked to perfection - juicy, tender and full of flavor. The aroma and the quality of the meat are unique!

The food was really really good. The service staff was (rather forced) nice, the food arrived quite quickly despite the large number of guests and was so hot that you had to blow. All in all: immediately again!

We - a married couple - were again totally satisfied with the food and the friendly staff. The restaurant is very cozy and always very busy, we are happy to recommend it. We have been going to Celle several times a year for over 16 years, just because of the good food at the Indiana steakhouse. Unfortunately, some “guests” intentionally write bad reviews. So fakes. Why ? But only on behalf of competitors. Who else takes the time to write lengthy negative reviews?

Experience report: Steak restaurant “Indiana” Unfortunately, today we had the dubious pleasure of testing the so-called steak restaurant “Indiana”. The visit was disappointing in many ways and leaves us wondering how such a restaurant can even exist. Atmosphere and service The atmosphere of the restaurant was passable, if not particularly inviting. Our first impression was made by the waiter, who seemed polite and attentive, which initially gave us hope for a pleasant experience. Appetizers We were served a salad as a starter, but it wasn't very convincing. The taste was characterized by a ready-made sauce that was strongly reminiscent of a supermarket product. Whether it actually was such a thing remains to be seen - in any case, such a product would never find space in my kitchen. main courses We ordered four different dishes: two pork dishes, spare ribs and two beef patties. Unfortunately, all dishes were equally disappointing. 1. Pork medallions The medallions were so dry that even the ready-made sauce provided couldn't make them edible. Parts of it remained on the plate - a sad testament to the kitchen's performance. In my 36 years, I have never been served such poorly prepared medallions. 2. Beef patties The beef patties were equally disappointing: dry, tasteless and simply inedible. Even the liberal use of pepper couldn't disguise the dryness and lack of flavor. Half of the dish remained on the plate. 3. Spare ribs The spare ribs were obviously frozen and tasted reminiscent of cheap supermarket products. There was no trace of freshness or quality. 4. Pork dish with fried potatoes The pork was also horrible and dry, only the fried potatoes could be mentioned as a bright spot. Of the four dishes ordered, two were still eaten - out of pure necessity (hunger) and possibly also due to the pragmatic approach of the male companion. The other dishes remained almost untouched. Service after meal After the meal, a female waitress took over and responded to our honest criticism with rejection and excuses. She seemed unwilling to acknowledge the obvious deficiencies and tried to gloss over the poor food with implausible explanations. Even with the bill there was no compensation in the form of a schnapps or other offer to alleviate the bad impression. Instead, we only received a €10 discount after we again complained about the quality of the food. The cook herself, who was apparently also the owner, met our criticism with indifference and said she didn't care what we wrote. Conclusion This visit was a complete disappointment. The quality of the food was unbearable, the service was unprofessional and the response to criticism was simply unacceptable. For a total price of €92, we should have expected at least a minimum level of quality - but this was not even close to being achieved. A restaurant with such a low standard should either make major improvements or go out of business. In its current state, “Indiana” is not recommended.

We've been to a few steakhouses, but unfortunately this was one of the worst. The nice gentleman from the service really made an effort, the rest was really not what we expected. The restaurant is getting quite old, so unfortunately it can't keep up with modern standards. First I asked if there was a non-alcoholic cocktail, the answer was: We have passion fruit spritzer. Super. It is served on super thin white (Ikea?) plates, very low quality. The salad with peanuts was great. The beef fillet was terribly tough and rare instead of medium, that can happen, but unfortunately it was the same with my partner. I returned mine because it was even cold inside. About the bacon beans: the beans were absolutely overcooked and mushy, the bacon was still almost raw and not fried. So the main course was very disappointing. For dessert I ordered a chocolate cake with a liquid center. Since it is a finished product, I thought nothing could go wrong. Well, apparently it was in the microwave for so long that it was no longer liquid on the inside. We were looking forward to a nice evening, it was my birthday and the first day as parents without a child. We really hoped for more, there is a lot of potential for improvement. Maybe start with good dishes (and maybe without all the water stains? ).
