An excellent German restaurant in a very beautiful place. Very nice food especially if you want to try German cuisine for the first time. Nice atmosphere and quick service. The prices are very reasonable, I definitely recommend it for someone who goes to the city for the first time.

Crowded, bustling and colorful - but that's exactly what makes the permanent representation so charming. Despite the high occupancy, we were served quickly, the food was tasty (the currywurst is recommended) and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, I found Kölsch prices a bit too high - it's not an inexpensive pleasure overall, but that's why you're sitting on the Spree in Mitte. (07/2024)

Typical German food. Everything very good, sausages, meatballs

We had pork knuckle and blood sausage. The food was phenomenal My only complaint is it took us 7 days to find this place. Please pass up the French restaurant and try this place first. There location sits right on a busy street, but worth the visit and stay!

Unfortunately, the permanent representation in Berlin is quite a disappointment. Wonderfully located on the Spree, the permanent representative welcomes you with comfortable seating. And that's where the story ends. The service is relatively mediocre (even after announcing an order request, it takes up to 15 minutes for an order to be taken, 5 minutes after the end of the cake counter, no more cloth is delivered and a cold dog, which gives the name, but is not one . Currywurst can be found in Berlin. Even with better quality and good taste, you don't have to enjoy it here Unfortunately only one star overall for service, rice and food and no recommendation.

The food is solid and priced in the midfield for this tourist hot spot. The service and the chefs are always friendly and on point. Here everyone can get something to drink quickly and you don't have to wait long for the food. Deductions are available for indoor and outdoor seating. Both are really uncomfortable after sitting for an hour. The ambience in general is a bit old. I think you can also renovate carefully here. Otherwise, I wish all visitors a nice stop in the StäV.

I was there yesterday at lunchtime with a family of five from Chicago. Everyone was thrilled with the food, the terrace on the Spree is wonderful anyway and the service was great. You can rely on the StäV. Many thanks to the entire team.

This is a restaurant focusing on Rhine Cuisine, located right on the banks of the Spree River. While you can sit right on the river bank, seating options are offered outside in front of the restaurant and inside. The interior is beautifully furnished with a balance between traditional and modern. There is an extensive cologne and berlin beer list. Elsässer, which is a great beer accompaniment, left a big mark on me. The service was very kind and fast. It would be appropriate to choose the table you will sit at with the waiter. Kölsh is very good as a beer. The prices seem a bit higher to me. But it is definitely preferred.

Had our lunch snack on Saturday afternoon. Because of the heat we took a seat outside. Clear menu with a good selection. Our service must be particularly highlighted, absolutely great. He also helped us with the S-Bahn connection to the Waldbühne. 👍👍👍 We decided on currywurst with fries. Everything was very tasty and a good portion. There was also a large Gaffel Kölsch. Price performance was okay.

The meal, large farmer's salad, was not served as described in the menu. The salad consisted almost entirely of pepper pieces and onion rings. Individual pieces of cheese and some rocket were also included. The bread was completely forgotten and the question was answered extremely rudely. The wrong invoice was presented when paying. A busy area with lots of choice but we chose here by seeing the pizzas when we walked past so had to try for ourselves. Great pizza, plenty of toppings, thin crust and big enough to share between 2 people. Great mini beers which were perfect to have with a meal. Great quick service, and probably the fastest ever payment after asking for the bill, so could give five stars just for that!!. Would recommend to others.

Always been very satisfied so far. The food and drinks taste good. Operation and service also nice. Of course, one cannot ignore the fact that the prices are quite high. I arrived after my friends. The waiter told me that he only had one type of beer and my friends were drinking wheat beer, another lager. Maybe they are working too hard and at closing time they don't feel like serving. Bad experience, I expected quality service.

I ordered many beers from the beer menu at the place by the river Spree in the city center: gaffel, kölsch, dersinger. I liked all three genres. I like wheat beer better. Therefore, those that start with weis (white) as weisbier or weissbrau or wiessbier are perfect for me, like Erdinger. As a meal, we ordered a type of fried chicken called backhendl (18.9€). Next to the chicken was a herb similar to purslane, potatoes, ketchup-mayonnaise and cranberry jam. As stated on the menu: "deep fried chicken marinated in butter milk, lamb-lettuce and cranberries with french fries or warm potato-bacon salad". Both food and service were successful. I would recommend it to everyone.

We were in Berlin for the Hertha game. And of course the route first goes to the StäV! Great ambience, authentic cuisine and extremely delicious beer! An absolute must-go in the capital!

Very good restaurant to try German gastronomy. We ate very well there, the dishes were plentiful and the staff was quite pleasant. It’s a different atmosphere from some restaurants that you can find, you have to appreciate it. There were a lot of people and noise but it was still bearable. Despite all this the staff was fast and efficient! What was nice was that the menu was translated into several languages, which is not the case in many restaurants.

Great restaurant with excellent quality. Even with a small name tag if you reserve. The ambience is typical of a vaulted cellar, a small souvenir shop is included, but a little away from the restaurant. There are various hygiene products in the toilets - really top and modern. To eat: Hearty German cuisine with great dishes. The knuckle is really recommended. Super tasty and really well prepared and served. There is also a (albeit manageable) vegetarian/vegan selection. Ok if you are in the area, pay attention, unless you come from the North, the dishes are Vin Diesel size. Very good knuckle and the Die Kult Currywurst sausage, super, they have given it the prefix "cult" for a reason. German atmosphere, German, that is, adapt, you are in Berlin. The atmosphere was nice and Schweinhaksen, Shrimp Pizza, and Currywurst were all very delicious. I think I'm a very picky eater. This is a restaurant that really suits Korean tastes. I especially recommend Schweinhaxen.

I visited with information that it was a Haksen restaurant. Me, a first-time Haksen beginner: Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, satisfying. The group that tried Haksen: It could be more crispy/moist than this. But not bad. Both: By the way, the pizza we ordered together was really delicious (especially the dough!) The atmosphere inside is lively and nice. The staff service is clean and friendly, neither too much nor too little.

There is no Altstadt in Berlin, but the atmosphere here on a summer's day comes close. A bit like Nyhavn in Copenhagen.

Been there twice in a short time now. My order was taken incorrectly twice (and no, I'm not mumbling). Instead of friendliness and goodwill there was Berliner Schnauze - I have nothing against it, but I don't necessarily want to pay €30 for it...

Hugely disappointed In the “rueben” sandwich which is with just a bit of pork, basically sort of bacon and you can feel no taste except cheese and cabbage. They do tell you in the menu it’s pork, but the execution is still lacking.

The price-performance ratio is not right. The restaurant mainly lives from its prominent reputation.

The beers are really tiny, only 0.2 liters. Even in the GDR they had 0.25 liters. No wonder the Ossis are quite disappointed.

Half way! nice waiter. I ordered beef roulade with red cabbage and potatoes. Beef roulade was super dry. The red cabbage was inedible. Completely over-seasoned. So not recommended. The reputation seems better than what is available here.

This place has become an overpriced tourist trap. They plonk new beers on your table before you've finished the last one and claim it's a Rhineland tradition. When I told the waitress I hadn't ordered another one, she began lecturing me that I needed to put a beer mat on my beer glass to stop new ones coming. I don't appreciate being lectured at when I'm in a restaurant so I left and will not be returning to this Berlin institution that has clearly become a victim of its own success. I have visited this place on and off since 2001 and they didn't foist beer on you in that way before. Added to that, the beer glass wasn't properly full when it arrived. .

They brought us the soup without the croutons, we asked for them, and they charged them to our bill, and they even had the nerve to ask for a tip!

The restaurant was always a must for us, but now we can avoid it. It took forever for the food to arrive. Then the currywurst was cold, the fries were hard and the tarte flambée was inedible. Two Berliner Weisse tasted completely different, one was green, the other gray. Price/performance no longer fits here at all. The cellar also had more to do with the neighboring table, where you could flirt with young ladies and spend schnapps on the house. Our complaint was therefore only responded to with a dismissive response. For us it was definitely the last time, there are much better places...

The ambience is a smooth first. Devotional items from the old days by Genscher, Brandt and Schmidt. A wonderful journey through time. The food is mixed from Rhineland, Berlin and Bavaria. Very tasty, rustic and with a 10 liter barrel of Gaffelkoelsch, the evening was fun. Be sure to reserve, especially as a group. Service was very friendly and helpful. Outdoor area directly on the Spree.

Ständige Vertretung has outdoor seating overlooking the waterway as well as indoor tables. On a warm summer day it was lovely to sit outside, enjoy a large glass of Kolsch and eat a bowl of Königsberger Klopse.

The portions are less than any other Greek restaurant. The food was warm, a plus, but the sauce was overly salty and spicy. The staff is too overwhelmed and doesn't respond politely The price for a mug of beer was €6, way too expensive for me. And far too many impatient people

I had stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes with fried onions and gravy, and my friend had currywurst with fries and mayonnaise. The food came really quickly, which makes me think that the dishes were just reheated. Another clue is the mayonnaise. It was warm and had already formed a skin. However, the service was the worst. I know from Cologne that you get a Kölsch until the lid is on the glass. I can understand that people in Berlin might not know this. But I find it weak that the waitress walks past you five times, sees the empty glass and doesn't even ask if you want something more to drink. But the Kölsch was very tasty and well tempered. We had a drink in the restaurant that evening. Waiter totally unfriendly. I ordered 4 drinks directly at the bar and that came to €39.50. The waiter then told me €39.50 without a tip. I then said you would make €40.00. He then asked me if I was serious about “only” 0.50 cents. I then said yes. Very unfriendly and it was way too warm in the restaurant. Not recommended.

3 stars because the food was good. The service was god awful. Eating by myself and on multiple occasions throughout the meal I waited over 10 minutes for any service whatsoever. Sat with an empty beer glass in front of me for over 10 minutes with nothing else to drink while my server stared at the computer screen. When I asked to pay I sat there with the receipt in front of me waiting and waiting until eventually I had to take it to him in front of the computer and ask to pay by card…. Ridiculous and not the culture this restaurant would want to display
