A nice restaurant on the water. Very nice, cheerful waiter. The meal took a little longer, but when the weather is nice it's great to sit outside.

On November 11th Reserved a table directly at the counter. What else do you need as a Rhinelander apart from good friends, Kölsch and delicious food?

Good pub, the food is quite average. But that's not what is faimous for. It is a nice place to spend a few hours and have few beers.

After entering the restaurant, we were shown the seat because a bus with 50 people had just arrived, who of course had priority seating. We then went into the heated outdoor area to drink our Kölsch. It was a bit expensive at 6.30 euros, but it's a tourist trap. We still had fun!

A Berlin institution and we know why! Top-notch cuisine, with the service to match. I recommend the meatballs which were a real delight! Thanks again

Unfortunately very bad experience - not recommended!!! Extremely rude service, especially from Surab. The team is very unreliable: Despite making a reservation by phone and confirming it in writing for late in the evening, we were rudely thrown out of the restaurant because we didn't want to eat any more food at 10 p.m. Clearly not recommended!!!

We wanted to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday at the permanent representation last night and had made reservations for 21 people. When we arrived we were greeted extremely unfriendly and told that each person MUST eat at least one main course. It was already shortly before 10 p.m. and we arrived at the STÄV already full, so we were just looking forward to cool drinks. The consumption requirement was never discussed during the reservation process. We then got up and left, which was particularly a shame for the 90-year-old grandparents of the birthday child, who had been looking forward to celebrating their granddaughter's big evening with us and had made the special journey. They only seem to be interested in making a profit here, so for me it's a soulless shop/tourist trap.

Unfortunately a very bad experience! Had a reservation for 9:30pm for drinks after a 30th birthday dinner. Reservation by phone was no problem. We were told on site that every guest had to order a “proper main course” and that was communicated as such when making the reservation. But unfortunately that wasn't the case. So everyone, including the 90-year-old grandparents, had to get up and leave again. That's what I call Germany's service desert. I hope you found 20 more guests to eat at 10 p.m. 🤣

Hectic, but at the same time very funny atmosphere. What's not possible: They let you order another glass of wine even though the reservation expires in 10 minutes and you are rudely asked to leave the place. Ex and hop 🍷 🤪

recently had the opportunity to dine at Ständige Vertretung, a popular restaurant in Berlin. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the friendly service. The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is simple but stylish, with exposed brick walls and wooden tables. The menu is extensive and offers a variety of dishes, including German classics, international favorites, and vegetarian options.

Well-known shop, but probably more for tourists. It takes quite a long time to get your food. The service is professional and friendly despite a lot of stress, that's not the reason. But waiting more than half an hour for simple dishes is a lot.

Fantastic place! We went on a recommendation from a friend who lives near Duisburg, and enjoyed a memorable lunch! Staff great, food great ... and a willingness to allow customers to enjoy themselves! We still don't know why many were in fancy dress!! Laughter and friendship all around!

We ate inside. You sit at large tables with other guests. The decoration is impressive. The map is online. Located directly on the Spree near Friedrichstadtpalast. We had currywurst, stuffed cabbage and meatballs. The prices aren't exactly cheap but it was worth it for us. Delicious.

We had a long-planned business dinner in the evening. The reservation and a few exchange emails worked perfectly. The ambience in the StäV is very loud due to the station atmosphere and is communicatively disruptive for older people - but familiar. The service was proactive, correct and friendly, even with small subsequent order changes. Extremely negative, more like minus 6 stars: When paying (everything was complete for the whole group) I was given several tip options on the payment Tamagocchi as usual e.g. in America and Canada with 7-12-17%. I wanted to round up well and smoothly, as is usual in Germany with around 5% for good service at such events, since in Europe/Germany the minimum wage can always be assumed. However, I had to listen to it three times: "Were you not satisfied with the service / did you not like it / were you really not satisfied with the service, your company [...] has enough money???" They were simply awesome!!! It was just extremely provocative. In the end there was the 5% for everything OK. In German locations, if the service is just normal, it is still the general standard. But the emphasis ruined the whole evening for me - I have never experienced such extremely provocative begging behavior in Germany. Only, and only because of this, I award one point for the StaeV - their managers are responsible for it too! The rest of the service and the food were 5 points - the pork knuckles were very well received by the meat eaters. Kudos to the kitchen despite the overall rating - you do a really good job and almost everyone in our large group was at the table at the same time! Great organization and professionals at the pans. But unfortunately nothing can make up for the final experience - you are your team. From now on I will have to make and spread a different core recommendation within the company. Sorry, Staev, you somehow made your operating staff too sharp...

As always, a great experience of Rhenish hospitality, brewing and cooking with the usual warm service from the team. Thank you very much, we'll be back.

The restaurant "Ständige Aktuell" is located at Schiffbauerdamm 8, 10117 Berlin. This is a good restaurant. The ambience and atmosphere there is very pleasant. I drank good beers there and ate a Rhenish sauerbraten. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent and very valuable. Highly recommended! Modern but with history and German food culture baked into the food and the service. Location is excellent and the atmosphere is semi beer hall/food hall. Everything that was ordered was on point and the menu was broad. Great blutwurst for me, curry wurst and pork knuckle and the deserts were excellent!

Right in the middle, right on the Spree and of course not an insider tip. But the food is great, the beer is tasty and the service is quick and attentive.

We were there at 4pm on weekdays. The tables are too close and it's too loud.

The restaurant was quite cozy at first. The bill we received was on the high side, partly due to the hamburger. When we wanted to tip, this was not appreciated. According to the waitress we paid too little and we received angry looks/angry words. Too bad it had to end like this, because it was quite fun.

At first it was a very nice experience. When we wanted to pay, and gave a tip, the waitress wasn’t impressed by our tip. She said we should pay more to tip everyone working in the restaurant even when the hamburger was quite expensive… Wouldn’t recommend in the end, since it gave a bitter after taste.

Quaint and always worth a visit

Lively atmosphere and really good German food. We loved the beer, the chicken schnitzel and the fantastic chocolate lava cake. The servers were attentive and very kind. It's a great place to spend a few hours in the evening.

Good food.....home cooking! Unfortunately, despite a reservation (6 people), we had to clear the table after 1.5 hours because they had obviously overlooked the reservation and were not prepared to offer an alternative table, which was a shame. The waiter would quickly get soggy after we at least wanted to finish our drinks.

Embrace Your Non-Touristy Side! This local pub was recommended by a Berlin local and my wife and I were glad we tried it. Pizza was tasty, the pub had a nice atmosphere, and the bartenders were very friendly, even if their English wasn't the greatest. With so many spots that cater to tourist, this is a great option to experience a meal or drink with the Berlin locals.

Worst experience ever. I came with my friend and his family who had come from a very distant abroad. It was their first time in Germany and it was exactly his birthday when we were there. I baked a cake especially for him and brought it to the restaurant and politely asked the waitress if I could put the cake in the fridge because I was afraid it would melt since I had spent so much time on it. Unfortunately the waitress told me that this wasn't possible and that the manager doesn't like and doesn't accept customers bringing cake or even putting it in the fridge temporarily. I explained that my friends were here on vacation and the hotel was very far away, as was my hometown. I understand that it's not good for catering establishments to bring your own food, but the fact that they don't even allow you to put the cake in the fridge was absurd and complete lack of understanding. Aside from that, I chose this place specifically to introduce them to German culture and good German food, as I had been here before and liked the food, but the service and experience ruined a lot and made it impossible to have the food again enjoy. will never come back again.

We were happy to find a German restaurant in the area as tourists. We feel German food was overly underrated here. This one was a good find, from white asparagus to solyanka soup. Must try when you are in Germany!

Berlin liver! Very tasty with a Berliner Weisse

We were traveling with a group of 50 people and had lunch at the StäV. There was the same food for all participants. The meal, beef with mashed potatoes, was just about OK. The crowning glory, however, were the enameled bowls, although some of the enamel had chipped off and looked rusty. The restaurant management should be ashamed for expecting their guests to do something like this. As a normal guest, the food was served normally. The staff was Berlin-stuffy. Only the decoration invited you to linger. So eat and get out quickly.

Amazing restaurant with good food and great service. We had visited their stand at the 2021 Christmas Market in Berlin. The beer is outstanding. I love the atmosphere with a massive amount of political and historical photos. A must visit while in Berlin.

As in all StäVs, there is the usual classic “political” food program here. Atmosphere nice, but also quite bary, service professional, food good, but not special. Not everything is really fresh. Price-performance but okay.

Great and authentic restaurant in a great location right on the Spree in the middle of the government district! If you're lucky, you'll also meet one or two politicians here. Great kitchen with a large selection of dishes. Everything very fresh and delicious. Not to forget the Kölsch on tap! Great and attentive service rounds everything off. Absolute recommendation! I always enjoy coming to the StäV.

Great if you want to have German food for lunch or dinner. I set both at night and at midday. “Heavy” dishes, I recommend booking in advance. If the weather is good outside they have a very nice terrace with views of the river.

We went to this place for a dinner with friends. Overlooking the Spree River, this place allows you to experience the heart of Berlin both in terms of location and dishes served. A few steps from the famous Brandenburg Gate, the restaurant has an external area and an internal area in typical Teutonic style. The place is particularly crowded and frequented by customers of all kinds, so arm yourself with patience to wait for a free table or make a reservation. Good service

We made a reservation for 5 p.m. a week in advance, but we were still seated in the far corner at a long overdue table that consisted of two different tables and had different seating. After we had to squeeze ourselves to this table and take a seat, the door behind the table opened three times (because the waitress was serving the guests outside). Since we felt absolutely uncomfortable and disturbed and the cold was constantly coming in through the door, we asked if we could get one of the other reserved but still free seats. After 3 conversations with different service and no suggestions for solutions, we decided to leave. We've never experienced such bad service, plus the worn furniture. We would never go there again.

I visited with information that it was a Haksen restaurant. Me, a first-time Haksen beginner: Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, satisfying. Wife who tried Haksen: It could be crispier/moist than this. But not bad. Both: By the way, the pizza we ordered together was really delicious (especially the dough!) The atmosphere inside is lively and nice. The staff service is clean and friendly, neither too much nor too little.

(Tapas is the newspeak for small things). Quality mostly good. Special request was fulfilled without any problem. Currywurst with fries for €13.9 but it's steep. It went well in the evening, but wasn't really my thing. The store was packed on 9/28/24. But it wasn't extremely loud and you could still have a conversation. The audience was over 40. No parking or only more expensive parking. Please come by public transport. Is extremely central at the S/U station Friedrichstrasse

The location is amazing. Food is so delicious. The pizza is great. It was thin crust, crispy with lots of toppings and cheese. The taste was amazing. Also tried vegan curry wurst. It was decent. I’m not really a fan of vegan meats. So it wasn’t about the restaurant. They have beautiful sitting areas near the spree. The indoor is also very cozy. I really enjoyed my lunch. Thank you

If you don't make a reservation on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, it's very difficult to eat!! I made a reservation and the space between tables was narrow. So I can have a lot of small talk with the table next to me. We enjoyed the experience because it was amazing. Be sure to order shrimp pizza and Haksen!! Tipping is optional, but the server was so friendly that I gave 10%!!

We went by chance, in fact they had recommended us the one next door, and as we saw more atmosphere we said go in and it was great. We didn't have a reservation and they found a place for us, if you go do it with a reservation because you might not find a place. The statement, the treatment of the waiters is excellent. We will return before leaving for Zaragoza.

tiges | 20-30€ We were in Berlin for the marathon weekend. We discovered this restaurant while walking along the Spree Canal. When the weather was beautiful, we were able to sit outside by the water. The menu offers good food and I can highly recommend the tarte flambée and apple strudel. The restaurant was well attended and we met nice people from Denmark. We were there twice. On the first day the service left something to be desired, everyone was very very nice but you had to keep calling and getting your attention if you wanted to order something. It worked better on the second day. The waitresses were really magical and super funny. We had a great time

I didn't receive any service, but if I paid in cash, they wouldn't give me change as if it was a given. I was going to give a tip after seeing a review that asked for a tip, but when it came time to pay, I paid cash, and without even thinking about returning the remaining change, I said, “every thing was good?” “Okay good night” and took the money and left. I had no intention of bringing money. We ate outside today and the server was a woman.
