Friday evening July 5th, 2024, on the way to a short vacation with my wife, we spontaneously decided on the Split restaurant in Gronau. We didn't feel like fast food and were warmly welcomed there. Even though it was late, we were able to choose a nice table. After a while, however, we remembered that we would miss the Germany game. We spontaneously asked for a television. The waitress responded immediately and offered to set us up in the hall where we could watch the game. We were very impressed by this flexibility and accommodating approach. When ordering, all of our wishes were taken into account, even changing the dishes was no problem. The dishes were not only very tasty, but also generously portioned - almost too big for us. We would particularly like to emphasize the quality of the ingredients and the loving preparation, which made every bite a pleasure. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional friendliness of the entire staff, including the boss. This warmth and attention created an atmosphere in which we felt completely comfortable. All in all, our evening at the Split restaurant was a complete success. We would love to come back and would like to thank you very much for the wonderful service and excellent cuisine! Unfortunately, almost everything just looked good. My steak was far too raw, as was that of the other guests at the table. Everyone had the same problem 😁. But the mussels were even more delicious.

This is the first restaurant where I was told when we were taken to the table that we had an hour and a half to dine there, which also means the last time I have been there, I have often been to Balkan restaurants across the border. Over the years I can say that the price/quality ratio has dropped significantly. Unfortunately.

Our favorite local restaurant. We almost always order the goulash soup served in a bread roll, which is highly recommended. Then often one of the platters for 2 people, also highly recommended, especially the fishplatte, very tasty. We always look forward to a glass of unerbes after dinner, a very tasty pear liqueur of which you can also buy bottles there. Restaurant Split is highly recommended.

Split is heerlijk genieten. Niet vergeten Goulaschsuppe in een broodje te bestellen! Aardig personeel die bijna allemaal nederlands spreken.

Very good food with typical dishes from the region, grilled meat and everything fresh and well prepared. Fast and nice service. There are also international dishes and children have also been taken into consideration. It is recommended to reserve and there is plenty of parking space in front of the door and is free of charge. All in all, recommended and I would only improve the ambience a little.

The service was super friendly and up for a joke! The steak was absolutely perfect! I thought the tongue was a bit on the salty side, but that may be very personal. Waiting times between dishes are short. We told them that it was our first time there and immediately received a bottle of Croatian wine, which was a pleasant surprise! Almost all the staff speaks Dutch, which is nice👍🏼

We had heard very good stories about split and therefore went there for dinner. The meat was well prepared and the main course was sufficient in quantity. When we were there it was very busy. It took a long time before we were helped and this was not pleasant.

We were there with 9 people. 3 times there was cold food, 3 times it was lukewarm. The service was mediocre, it was very busy. When it came to paying, we only had to grind our teeth in pairs, the waiter was VERY unfriendly and we did the math ourselves.

We had our family meal in this restaurant today if it were possible I wouldn't give it any stars. It started with the ordering of the drinks and the food was brought to the table lukewarm so we gave it back and asked for it to be warmed up again make But the highlight was when we asked for the bill and we were told that in Holland it is customary to put everything on one bill. Sorry, but this restaurant is in Germany and it is still up to each person how they want to pay I will neither go to this restaurant myself nor recommend it to others

We liked the ambience, but it was very crowded. I had the dips as a starter and a fillet steak as the main course. My girlfriend had the shrimp cocktail as a starter and a grilled plate as the main course. We have little to complain about about the food, as tastes differ. However, for the price we would have expected something different. Unfortunately, what really bothered us was the absolutely inadequate service for us. We didn't seem to be able to have more than one drink during the entire stay. Unfortunately, when I went to the toilet, I had to forgo soap when washing my hands because it was empty. If the restaurant opens at 5:00 p.m. and we are there at 8:00 p.m., either someone had very dirty hands or it simply wasn't checked/refilled. Very annoying. I even had to ask for the bill 3 times. We probably won't come back a second time

Enjoyed a nice evening with friends

I ordered a stuffed pljeskavica (with sheep's cheese - not the copy with Gouda), and with fried potatoes and Djuveć rice as sides. Beforehand there was a crunchy, fresh side salad (I particularly noticed the coleslaw as being super fresh and homemade!). I'll keep it short...it was very, very tasty!!! 😋 I only found the small drinks bottles, which are often criticized in reviews, negative....0.2 liters of Coke Zero for 2.70 euros are simply extremely expensive (that's 13.50 euros for one liter 😳) The owners should at least think about 0.33 liter bottles...and then offer them for 3 euros...less profit, but I was definitely too stingy to order a second bottle for 2.70 euros. Therefore a star deduction - at least in terms of service. That's not enough for me to deduct one star from the overall result - overall a great restaurant! 👍👍👍

Familie kocht een cadeaubon voor mij, deze bon kon alleen contact worden betaald dus moest hij eerst naar de pinautomaat. Toen ik later met deze bon betalen wou, was dat heel moeilijk, ik had eerst, toen ik binnen kwam, door moeten geven dat ik met een cadeaubon wou betalen, nu was dat heel lastig volgens de eigenaar. Zo kom je aan zwartgeld. Hij was op dat moment erg onvriendelijk. Ik heb het met onze familie besproken en kwamen tot de conclusie hier niet meer te gaan eten. Dit is tegen onze principes

Altijd goed altijd lekker en altijd veel ...Nu NIET!!! Super vriendelijk echt top.. zei ik 2 jaar geleden , hier gaan we even op terug komen ...We eten er vaak maar deze keer afgelopen zaterdag avond viel het zwaar tegen ....de groente was uit de diepvries nat en niet gaar niet eens bijt gaar ...het was meer groente en gebakken aardappelen dan vlees op de plaat voor 2 personen...gebakken aardappelen waren lauw ...patat 1 schaaltjes (voor 1 persoon ) terwijl we met 4 waren en hadden gevraagd om patat ipv gebakken aardappelen of aardappel kroketjes...netjes de (hoofd) er op aangesproken even appart genomen net zo netjes toch ....en dan word er gezegd ik kom aan tafel....dat deed hij niet ...flesje wijn gekregen ter compensatie.....sorry dit is niet de manier van doen ...idee dat we niet serieus werden genomen ....helaas ...voor ons na 8 jaar de laaste keer dat wij bij jullie hebben gegeten ....was meer massa dan aandacht besteden aan het eten .

Gewoon doen! Gezellig en vriendelijk personeel. Lekker eten. Ze praten zowel Nederlands als Duits.

Mijn recente bezoek aan dit restaurant was een waar genot. De maaltijd was niet alleen heerlijk, maar het vlees was ook buitengewoon mals, waardoor elke hap een smaakexplosie was. Wat de avond nog specialer maakte, was de uitstekende service die we ontvingen. Het personeel was attent en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen thuis voelden. Complimenten voor de gastheer! Ik kan dit restaurant van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een geweldige eetervaring. Het heeft zeker mijn verwachtingen overtroffen en ik kan niet wachten om terug te gaan.

Liebloses Essen mit wenig Geschmack, davon aber viel. Wenig gemütlich ... Blumen aus Plastik, Tisch aus Plastik, andere Pflanzen Plastik, Brotkorb aus Plastik ... so stelle ich mir ein schönes Essen nicht vor! Was das Essen betrifft ... Positiv: das Fleisch war nicht trocken, allerdings sonst ohne großen Geschmack. Der Reis war völlig zerkocht, das Gemüse entweder Tk oder aus einer Gemüse-Mix-Beutel. Dazu etwas Paprika vom Grill. Statt leckerer feuriger Dips gibt es Ketchup und Mayo im Portionsbeutel. Alles in allem ... wir würden nicht ein zweites Mal dort essen.

Zowel Nederlands als Duits sprekend personeel. Zeer uitgebreide kaart, inclusief 5 kindermenus! Super service, enorm vriendelijk personeel, super lekker gegeten! Gratis perkeeplaats voor de deur. Er is zelfs een speelkamer voor kinderen.

Lekker gegeten, voldoende en vriendelijke service

Ich war am frühen Samstagabend hier, die Plätze in dem gemütlichen Restaurant schienen alle reserviert zu sein. Ich habe kurz vorher per Google reserviert und habe noch einen kleinen Tisch bekommen. Im Restaurant angekommen wurde ich freundlich begrüßt. Direkt nahm der Kellner meine Getränkebestellung auf und ich konnte in der gut sortierten Karte auswählen. Die Lieferung der Bestellung kam sehr schnell. Das Essen (großer Grillteller) war gut, nicht das beste Essen was ich hatte, aber durchaus schmackhaft. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und ich war auf jeden Fall satt. Zum Schluss gab es noch einen Schnaps aufs Haus. Ich würde das Restaurant empfehlen und auch selber wiederkommen.
