Kleine Welle Hallenbadcafé in Gronau (Westf.)

The small wave pool at the indoor swimming pool is highly recommended. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always welcoming. I really enjoy eating there; the food is delicious and fresh. The café itself is also impressive, with its cozy decor and quiet, pleasant atmosphere.

The staff are fantastic, very nice and friendly, and they take every order very kindly.

I don't like that the diving board isn't accessible at all times.

We repeatedly experience long waits. The lady is in the kitchen preparing the food. When you knock, you get the response: "I'm not coming just because YOU knocked." Why can't she run a cup of coffee under the coffee machine while the fries are sizzling? (Serving people!) An order is always taken, prepared, and then the next person is served eventually. This whole process could be much smoother. Then business would run more efficiently. In addition, she always walks through the bistro in her street shoes, while beachgoers are barefoot. However, I can't say anything bad about the food. It always tastes good. Update 11/16/2025: Today my daughter was behind the counter and wanted an ice cream. The lady approached me about my review here. She argued with me in front of my daughter. I asked her to stop. Since the lady unfortunately can't handle criticism, she no longer wants to serve me and my husband. My little daughter (6) started crying. She couldn't care less. We've been going there for so many years. Never had any problems before. Just because you express some opinion to the staff, you're now considered an unfriendly customer. It's a real shame.

I absolutely don't understand all these negative reviews! The lady is a really friendly and always courteous person. She stands alone behind the counter and can't serve 20 people at once. And we also eat at work and treat ourselves to breakfast, so why should she be judged for that? I find that absolutely RUDE! The food always tastes good. She has a lot of trust; I've even been allowed to pay twice after leaving the indoor pool so I don't have to run to the locker. She doesn't get annoyed when my son wants to order. So absolutely 5 stars for me... PS: Today, the lady was very rudely attacked by a man simply because she didn't serve him directly, but rather a little boy first. And that's how negative behavior develops that ruins your business and thus your livelihood. We'll be back again and again... 🤗🤗🤗

If it weren't for the repeatedly extremely unfriendly service, we would happily visit the café. You have to like children if you're having a coffee at an indoor swimming pool and not constantly reprimanding them. No customers, no success...

Nice little cafe with friendly service and a quiet atmosphere.

Eat yourself instead of serving customers! Disgusting food! Arrogant service! The "servers" would rather chat than serve customers, and if you call out, they treat you condescendingly. It's a shame about the beautiful indoor pool, but this snack bar is the worst!

Thank you to the lovely lady who serves us mothers every Monday. Always friendly and chatty. The prices are reasonable too.

We celebrated my little brother's birthday today. The staff was very nice, helpful, and child-friendly. The party was organized by the "Kleine Welle" cafe. A very nice lady who works there was very nice, and the children all had a great time. The food was delicious, and there was a wide selection. I highly recommend celebrating your child's birthday there.

We celebrated our son's birthday in the indoor swimming pool at the weekend. This was planned and organized by the indoor pool café “kleine Welle”. We were extremely happy and the children really enjoyed it. The service was perfect, the food was delicious and every child was happy and satisfied.
