Appartement-Hotel Seeblick in Gronau (Westf.)

We were here in beautiful weather. There wasn't much going on on the outdoor terrace yet. Unfortunately, we were ignored. I don't know if it was because of our two quiet dogs or because we got the menu ourselves. We wanted good food and drinks. After 20 minutes of being there, and others who arrived later being served earlier, we'd had enough. They'd probably already collected enough money. By the way, four employees were wandering around or chatting with each other. A shame. Great view.

We had breakfast here. Excellent. Not very extensive, but everything was top quality.

Always wonderful with a view of the lake, in every respect..!!!

Very good food in a beautiful location! We've vacationed here several times and have always felt very comfortable. The staff is professional and at the same time particularly friendly, and they're also welcoming to children. Even with several small children, we felt welcome and were able to relax and enjoy our delicious food.

The accommodation, the lake, and the people were wonderful. We only used the ground-floor apartment for two days, but we'd love to go back! The open-plan kitchen was fully equipped, and the rain shower in the bathroom was very welcome after a swim in the cool lake! The bedroom doors squeaked a bit, so we immediately noticed when the child was awake. ;-) We chose some delicious cake at the restaurant. On the lake, we were able to ride a pedal boat alongside the quacking ducks. Thank you for the short break.

We go there regularly for breakfast. The selection is plentiful, and you can always find something good! The best part is that almost everything is locally sourced! We always enjoy coming here, and the service is great.

We ate in a restaurant today, four people, for €150. Service was slow and some people were very unprofessionally dressed. The food took ages. There was no bread, nothing before or after. The toilet seats were discolored and the door handles were a disgrace. The rental bikes were very cumbersome and barely rideable. The food was OK but completely overpriced. The beer selection was very, very poor. The apple spritzer was only juice, not apple juice with water. What an disgrace. Some of the lights were flickering because they were broken. It bothered us a lot but nobody cared. The car park was a big puddle of mud. Guests don't count for anything here, just a feeling of being alone. The chef is good, change the owners and the service. If the chef changes restaurants I would go back there. Never, never again!

We had dinner at the Seeblick restaurant on August 3, 2025. It was our first time there, and we had a truly delicious lunch. The vegetable soup was fantastic, the food was truly delicious, and the dessert was a dream. The service was very friendly and well-deserved the tip. Finally, we will definitely be back. A true highlight in the region! We had lunch at the Seeblick restaurant and were completely thrilled. I had the schnitzel made from local organic pork – wonderfully crispy on the outside, fried in clarified butter, and wonderfully tender and flavorful on the inside. It came with a delicate onion sauce with great depth, a fresh side salad, and a tasty soup as a starter. The dessert at the end was also homemade and delicious – you can tell that the food here is prepared with fresh ingredients and lots of love. No hint of convenience! The value for money is absolutely spot on, and the service was friendly and attentive. A place you'll gladly return to. A definite recommendation!

We would happily award it 6 stars plus; we've fallen in love! We enjoyed our beautiful, very well-kept, and comfortable apartment in a magical lakeside location – and fortunately, we decided to have breakfast and dinner at Seeblick. A real treat! Lovingly arranged regional dishes with flavors you'd normally only expect at fine dining, accompanied by a very appealing selection of drinks for every occasion and taste. All served in a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The service is so unobtrusive and warmly attentive that it's a real pleasure: whether it's knowledgeable advice on the right drink, humorous nonchalance during a spontaneous table change, or a great excursion tip, you feel like you're in the best possible hands. Even during this high season, you can always find a spot on the spacious terrace area. And for those who prefer to enjoy the outdoors, a very appealing mix of rustic vintage style combined with modern freshness awaits you there. It's wonderful that, despite this, the interior is really spacious, and the semi-circular design keeps everything very cozy. And even at the justifiably busy heavenly breakfast buffet, the atmosphere and acoustics remain delightfully pleasant. And whether outside or inside: always with a stunning view! The fact that our dachshund puppy travel companion felt very welcome – and also by the other lovely guests, with or without dogs – was the icing on the cake. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Seeblick team for this fabulous little escape!

Highly recommended, we had an apartment with a view of the lake and a sun terrace (morning and evening), and the beach was about a 2-minute walk away, with the restaurant right behind it.

It was my first time spending a few days at the beautiful Three Countries Lake. Everything was simply fantastic. Very friendly staff, a very nice apartment, and the whole ambiance is simply wonderful. It won't be the last time I vacation there.

We would like to thank our hosts once again. Their motto "at home with friends" is truly lived out here. We felt completely at home. The apartment and the restaurant right on the lake...wonderful...the staff and the food: everything was top-quality.

We were able to check into the upper apartment in House 2...not only was the apartment stylishly furnished, making you feel right at home...but absolutely EVERYTHING was there—even a dryer. Before moving in, I was hesitant about choosing the upper apartment instead of the one downstairs with its garden terrace—but what can I say? The roof terrace was a dream. It overlooked the lake for a wonderful end to the evening, and there was even a safety barrier on the stairs for my little one. The location is fantastic. While there's a large beach about a 10-minute walk away, the smaller one right outside the door is far more beautiful and idyllic—the kids played in the sand until sunset. And the food in the restaurant...fine dining that supports local producers at fair prices! A must-try. We'll definitely be back 🤍

Breakfast was delicious. Mostly from the Münsterland region. 5 stars isn't enough. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service is excellent, and so is the food. It's right on the lake and dog-friendly. Our dog got a treat, and there are bowls of water, so everything was tip-top!

Excellent service and a beautiful ambiance right on the lake. We came here for the breakfast buffet and were not disappointed—quite the opposite. There was nothing missing, and the products were of very high quality. A wide selection, juices, spreads, fish, meat from Laschke, bread from a local bakery, delicious coffee, and much more! We'll be coming here regularly from now on.

Six of us were there yesterday. It was pouring with rain, we arrived soaking wet, and they immediately offered us towels, hairdryers, etc.! First-class service! Afterwards, we enjoyed delicious coffee and cake at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was fantastic. I can recommend it anytime!

It was a very nice day. We had booked the bike meal and had the all-inclusive package today. We cycled 52km and were very well looked after along the way. Every stop was a highlight. We started the day with a great breakfast and ended it with a delicious dinner at Seeblick. Highly recommended!

A superb location for a birthday or wedding celebration, the perfect meeting place with friends or family, a must-have for vacationers and a favorite among locals. The food is always fantastic, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. Room completely different than expected or shown in the pictures. After complaining, only an invitation to breakfast at 9 a.m.?! Fragrance plugs everywhere in the room, which caused a headache and a sleepless night. Response to criticism is zero, email with invoice and full price! Thank you for the incredible stay. I have attached pictures so that no one else falls for it.

Was here by chance, visiting a friend who had moved to Gronau. I have to say I'm flabbergasted, we had a meal here - reception, table, service - everything was top notch. We really liked the menu, especially the regional. And yes, that High Light on Sunday, there is soup and dessert with the food you ordered, that takes me back to my childhood. There is hardly anything like that anymore. Food was very good and the view outside of the lake was simply 10/10

A cozy restaurant. Even though I'm not German myself, I'm still writing a review in German! The service also spoke some Dutch and was very friendly. The food was delicious, even if the whipped cream wasn't that sweet, and yes, whipped cream should be! Beyond that, this is highly recommended for a quick bite or lunch on the go.

We did not use the rooms, but had dinner with a group of 9 people in the Seeblick restaurant! Highly recommended! Cozy and very attractive location on the water, beautiful view, table very nicely set. Very extensive menu, plenty of choice even for vegetarians! All dishes were presented beautifully and culinary and tasted exceptionally delicious! Staff very friendly! We will definitely come again!

El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor; hay un buen parking y las vistas al lago son espléndidas. La comida es buena. Pero todo se vio desmerecido por la actitud hostil, malcarada, antipática y despectiva de la camarera que nos atendió. Nos sentimos discriminados en relación al resto de clientes alemanes con los que sí se mostraba más simpática. Me pareció un trato discriminatorio e incluso me atrevería a decir, un tanto racista, muy impropio de un lugar así.

I can only comment on the restaurant because we did not stay at the hotel (we were 4 people). To be honest, I have to say that the restaurant is a quiet, cozy, clean and very beautiful place, with good views of the lake. We found the food delicious. However, I am forced to lower the rating to two stars because the unempathetic, inconsiderate and unfriendly attitude of the waitress who served us detracts from everything else. The letters are only in German (we were struck by the fact that they were not in Dutch, despite being a few km from the border with Holland). We do not speak German (my girlfriend speaks Dutch) and since the waitress did not tell us right off the bat that she spoke English despite seeing the communication problems we had (she said it when I asked her explicitly) and she seemed annoyed with us , addressing us in a bad way. When my grandmother's grandfather (the only one of us who speaks a little German) politely reproached her for her attitude, she became defensive, accusing us of a bad attitude. A great example of how NOT to treat the client (and if the client is also a foreigner, it doesn't hurt to be a little more friendly and empathetic). On the other hand, we were struck by the lack of flexibility with schedules. We arrived before 2:00 p.m. and at 1:57 p.m. they refused to serve us food that - according to the menu - was served until 2:00 p.m. (for three minutes); And he also didn't want to take note of the food that the menu said was served from 2:30 p.m. until it was exactly 2:30 p.m. I don't know if it is a lack of flexibility on the part of the waitress, if it is the local policy or if it is simply the country's custom to be so rigid with schedules, but in Spain, despite the different defects/improvable aspects that the country may have, In most places they are more flexible with schedules in favor of the client and have a more benevolent attitude towards them. In short, the attitude of the waitress who served us (who on the other hand was friendly to the German customers, denoting a somewhat discriminatory attitude) totally detracts from the benefits of the place. If you are German, I recommend you go to this restaurant; but if you are a foreigner, better refrain from going.

I was invited there for my birthday with my wife and I was very positively surprised by the great service and the whole food

We were in the restaurant and wanted something to eat. After our neighboring tables were served in a friendly manner and 2 waitresses passed our table at regular intervals without speaking to us or taking any notice of us. We felt very unwelcome and left the restaurant after about a quarter of an hour.

Dinner was very good and delicious

We were there with our dog for three days. Very nicely located with direct access to the lake. Bathing facilities for people and dogs are available. Everything was very well maintained and clean. All the employees are also very friendly. The holiday apartment is well equipped with everything from a kettle to a washing machine and is barrier-free on the ground floor. You can cater for yourself or use the restaurant from breakfast to dinner. We and our little dog from the animal shelter from Romania really enjoyed it. The only small drawback is that the terrace is not partitioned off so that it is dog-safe, otherwise everything is great for holidays with dogs and / or children.

Buffet is completely adequate and everything has been thought of, a lot of it is regional and carefully selected, what more could you want. I can recommend trout and sausages, Serano in one piece of good quality. We felt very welcome with our 3 kids and we will definitely come back.

Salat selbst: hat evtl. schon 5 Stunden in der Schale gewatet: Ergebnis trocken und verwelkt. Preis für alles : maßlos übertrieben. Abzocke ? Nur für schönen Seeblick von der Außenterrasse ? Bei der Bezahlung ein Gericht zu viel berechnet! Erst auf meinen Hinweis rückgängig gemacht. Kein Ansatz von Entschuldigung. Resümee: Frechheit !

We wanted nice, tasty food, the restaurant is really nice with a view of the lake and nice decor. We wanted to eat vegetarian and asked the service whether there were also vegetarian or vegan dishes. Unfortunately it could only be served with salad or fried potatoes. As a starter we had pea soup that didn't taste like anything. We returned those too. Then we got the fried potatoes, WITH BACON. The service staff didn't understand why that was a problem, so we were there last time, just very disappointing that in 2024 there are no vegetarian or vegan dishes on the menu. Something like that should be standard these days.

Beautiful location right on the lake. Nice service. Enjoy your meal. The studio apartments are the right size for 2 people and are clean and well-equipped. Comfortably furnished. We'd love to come back. Unfortunately, there is a 1 star deduction because the mattresses were quite sagging and it would be nice if there was an insect screen on the patio door. Given the location in the forest by the lake, it was not possible to open the window or door in the evening.

The hotel is nice and quiet and ideal for going for a walk. We were there with around 100 people, the agreement was for lunch 3-course menu etc. In the evening a house platter with potato salad. At noon: the period d. Menu sequence too long, i.e. potatoes hard, d. Food overall lukewarm b. cold. The waiter d. served us very friendly, but there were also service staff who apparently weren't there knowledge d. A service-friendly face is mandatory in the catering industry is.
