Very good Franconian cuisine and very friendly staff

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance; it caught our eye, and we weren't disappointed. The suckling pig and the pork shoulder were both excellent. The restaurant was packed, and since we were just passing through, we hadn't made a reservation. However, they immediately tried to find us a table. Everyone was very friendly. (Laughs/winks, as a Bayern Munich fan, there were lots of FC Nürnberg items.) The restaurant was beautiful.

Today I enjoyed a delicious salad with tender chicken strips at this charming restaurant – fresh, crispy, and very lovingly prepared. I was served by an elderly lady who, with her warm, friendly, and polite manner, immediately created a welcoming atmosphere. I particularly appreciated how attentive she was to dogs: water and small treats were naturally provided – making the restaurant a truly dog-friendly place. Thank you for the warm hospitality! You don't just feel like a guest here, but truly welcome. I would love to come back.

It was a very nice and hospitable place. The food was excellent, as was the price/quality.

Got a seat outside in the relatively empty beer garden. The drinks arrived quickly, as did the side salad. After 45 minutes, the main course finally arrived. It must have been because it was schnitzel day, because my roast pork didn't arrive, but there were tons of schnitzels, even from people who arrived much later. On the other hand, the food was pretty bland; the sauce was from a bucket, a bit instant. The dumplings were the same. I can't understand what took 45 minutes here.

Nine of us dined there over the weekend. The service was very friendly. Everything went very quickly. The meals came quickly one after the other. The Schäufele (pork shoulder) had a nice crust and was served with just enough sauce for the dumplings. The Sauerbraten (sauerbraten) was very well seasoned and also had just enough sauce for the dumplings. The Wiener Schnitzel was a generous portion and was devoured in its entirety. The roulades themselves are also highly recommended here. We served all our meals with a side salad consisting of several components. The beer was at a good temperature and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back. Luckily, they also serve carp here soon. We definitely want to try it. Thank you very much!

We spontaneously stopped by the "Blauer Stern" today. We had Sauerbraten (the small version) with a delicious original gingerbread sauce that you could not only taste but also smell. Just as it should be, and just how we Franconians love it. Very friendly staff. We'll be back.

Unreserved recommendation. The herring with potatoes was brilliant, the schnitzel with fries was excellent. Leinburger beer from the boy. What more could you want?

Great restaurant, typical Franconian cuisine but also something different, like herring, calamari, and pizza. Everything is a bit more modern in terms of food. Great atmosphere, you're immediately in the middle of things.

A truly cozy, traditional restaurant with a beautiful, shady beer garden. The menu is extensive, and the service is very friendly—a visit is definitely worth it!

If you look up "forgetfulness" in the dictionary, you'll find the Blue Star as an example. Here, everything is constantly forgotten. Sometimes orders are placed three times before the desired item finally arrives after an hour.

Today was schnitzel day, two schnitzels on each plate, Hawaiian, Holstein, or Viennese style. Fried potatoes and schnitzel were cooked in the pan, the salad was fresh, and the schnitzel cost 11-13 euros. Delicious to the max – I'm very impressed! And all this on a beautiful terrace.

Supernette Bedienung in gut bürgerlichen Ambiente mit leckeren Essen (u.a. Schnitzel) auf überschaubarer Karte (was absolut positiv gemeint ist!). Keine Invasion aller möglichen Gerichte sondern frische und anteilig Saisonalität (z.B. Spargel) scheinen das Credo. Kommen sehr gerne wieder, weiter so. TOP!

Classic home cooking in the old village inn, pub character at its finest with regulars' table even at lunchtime. The food was fresh and hearty, the sauerbraten was great and the beer was tasty (oh yes, 0.5l beer is available for €3.5)

Been here on a business trip. Typical Franconian food at very customer-friendly prices. The chef is very quick, the food is delicious and fully corresponds to the price/performance ratio. It doesn't always have to be fusion cuisine, rustic cosiness and friendly and natural service are worth much more. I would love to come back! Update: was here again today the following day. Unfortunately nothing worked today: I waited forever for my beer and the cutlery that had been set was cleared away from the table. Then after 15 minutes the waitress came and asked if I had already ordered from her. Then ordered food and explained 3 times what the dishes were supposed to be. Then the question as to whether it should be the Hollsteiner Schnitzel... NO, how does the mushroom cream schnitzel explain. To be on the safe side, pointed at it and the lady hit it with her nose. 1 minute later the colleague comes and wants to take the food order. His colleague said that she hadn't taken my order yet... pure confusion! The waiter was great, the lady was unfortunately unfriendliness personified. My final conclusion: flop today, great yesterday. Unfortunately, since the dining experience seems to be very dependent on the staff, there is only a mixed review. It's a shame, because the frame actually fits.

We came here after a long drive. The food is very tasty and the service is top. I had the zander fillet, the fish was juicy and crispy and the potato salad was very well seasoned. A slight deduction because the salad was no longer completely fresh and crunchy and the fries weren't quite as crispy. All in all, a very tasty restaurant with top service that I can really recommend!

Went to Blau Stern today as a couple. Apparently everything in the beer garden was reserved and we decided to go inside. We were instructed not to serve them inside. You can also scare away your guests. No more!!!!

Great, we came with the children after the kitchen was closed, the staff looked at the kids and said they couldn't be hungry and made us dinner, very good schnitzel, huge and very tasty portions.

We arrived quickly this afternoon. Were received very warmly. Ordered schnitzel with potato salad, food was ready quite quickly and tasted really delicious. The ambience is getting old, but the sausage and food have to be good. Service is friendly and fast, highly recommended!

Can't understand all the negative reviews. The food was always very good. Service was professionally good and definitely “OK” friendly. I think it always depends on how the guests behave. Orders were taken quickly and food came quite quickly and, above all, hot and fresh. Ambiance is rustic and old but clean. The price is also absolutely right. Anyone who complains that they didn't get a seat in the beer garden should simply make a reservation, come earlier or, if necessary, wait. It is clear that this is full or will be full when the weather is good.

It's always good because you get good home-style food at reasonable prices. Parking spaces directly on site with a small beer garden, but getting to the restaurant is a bit difficult for people with walking disabilities because of the stairs

Food is lovingly prepared on the plate. Salad fresh and appetizing. The food itself has also been really tasty so far. No matter whether it's schnitzel, cordon bleu, zander fillet, fries, potato salad. Everything really suited our taste. We have been there three times so far and have already reserved again. Are already looking forward to the pre-ordered shashlick. The service is also friendly. Unfortunately there are only a few parking spaces in front of the house. So, always allow yourself some time to look for a parking space.😉

It was the tastiest schnitzel I've ever eaten. Phenomenal. Service was also very attentive. 👍that was 3 years ago. A positive review can quickly turn into a negative review. Have been to the location several times now. It's just a shame that you can't come here spontaneously if you haven't made a reservation you can leave again, they don't make any effort to find a solution other than pointing out free places inside. Sorry, who wants to sit inside when the weather is nice? We were very disappointed because we were given a voucher for the restaurant. We won't come here anymore. That's why I don't give any stars for the service. ( I have to give one :(( )

If all guests are treated like this then MEAL Beer garden free table Service arrives after 5 minutes. Table is reserved we heard. Question: where is the reserved sign? Answer: have just stocked up!!!! Although there was nothing on the table, further information from the waitress that people had just called. As I said, we've been sitting there for 5 minutes. Schäufele a smooth 1. Juicy and crispy. Plus two dumplings and a side salad. And at an absolutely fair price. The wedding soup as a starter ne 2- Tasty but something was still missing... Guest room clean and tidy. Seating not too close. Service courteous and very friendly. When the weather gets better, we'll be happy to come and visit the beer garden.

The food is good. The meat was freshly prepared and of good quality, the mushroom sauce a bit like out of a can. You can eat out in a charming garden if weather permits. Good value for money.

Wir waren von 4 Tagen Aufenthalt hier 3x essen. Das allein spricht schon für die Gaststätte. Wir hatten an 2 Tagen Schnitzel und einmal den Sauerbraten. Vorweg ließen wir uns die Gulaschsuppe und die Rinderbrühe mit Leberknödel schmecken. Zu den Hauptgerichten wird ein sehr leckerer Beilagensalat gereicht. Die Schnitzel und auch den Sauerbraten gibt es auch in einer kleineren Portion. Für uns Frauen wirklich mehr als ausreichend. Zum Fleisch kann man sich die Sättigungsbeilage aussuchen. Pommes, Bratkartoffeln oder hausgemachter Kartoffelsalat...der ist Klasse. Die Bedienungen, ob die beiden Damen oder ein junger Mann, alle schnell und gut drauf. Alles in allem eine ganz hervorragende Adresse zum Essen. Uuund, hier wird noch richtig gekocht, nix Fertigzutaten. Das Ambiente erinnert Eingangs an eine Dorfkneipe, der Gastraum ist schlicht, aber nicht ungemütlich. Die Gaststätte hat Charakter. Achso und die vierbeinigen Hausgenossen sind mit willkommen.

I was not impressed with the food, I have had this same menu at many different restaurants to see who prepares it the best. Sorry to say you are not one of them. Sauce (quick sauce) by both mine and my wife's meal, Meat ( sat too long waiting for someone to order it) Dumplings were Okay. All in all I wasn't impressed.

Wir waren beruflich in der stadt und das Restaurant wurde uns empfohlen. Ein gemütliches Restaurant mit nette Atmosphäre.Es was gut besucht und obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten hat man uns einen Platz gefunden.Der Service war ok und das Essen auch.Der Preis stimmte auch.Dazu haben wir auch nette Leute kennengelernt.

Der Vorspeiesensalat war ok. Ein schöner Mix aus vielen Salaten. Der Schweinebraten war für mich etwas roh. Der Klos war lecker und die Suppe war schön deftig. Alles in allem ok für den Preis.

Sehr gute fränkische und traditionelle deutsche Küche mit top Preisleistungsverhältnis. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Schäufele- die besten überhaupt! Auch alle anderen Gerichte sind lecker; Pfefferkarpfen und Käsespätzle, aber auch Schnitzel, Roulade und vieles mehr sind Klassiker, die hier einfach super schmecken. Die Karte ist eher klein gehalten, aber die Auswahl trotzdem so, dass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. Alles frisch zubereitet und gute Qualität. Der Service ist auch freundlich und kompetent. Draußen im Biergarten vor dem Lokal mit Schotterboden und natürlichem Schatten durch Bäume sitzt man sehr schön; drinnen ist es auch ok - aber eben ein normales Wirtshaus ohne besonderes Flair. Alles ist aber immer sehr sauber und gepflegt - auch die Toiletten.

Essen war in Ordnung, ob wohl für mich Schnitzel war zu salzig. Von Service: wir haben erst 20 Minuten warten müssen, bis überhaupt jemand kommt, ob wohl die Gäste leer war. Und super freundlich war sie auch nicht.

Haben erst mal 20 Minuten gedauert bis uns einer bedient hat und alles nicht sehr freundlich.
