We went there spontaneously for dinner. Although the restaurant was fully booked, we were spontaneously allowed to take a seat at the regulars' table and had a very nice conversation with an older couple who probably used to run a shoe shop in Munich. Food was great!

The service is friendly, the food comes very quickly and is very tasty. There are a few parking spaces available on site. Otherwise easy to reach on foot. Reservations should definitely be made during the holiday season and on weekends. We were very satisfied.

Excellent Bavarian restaurant with very friendly service and very good cuisine. We spontaneously had dinner here after other restaurants turned us away before 7 p.m. with the message "no more kitchens". Here we were immediately served in a friendly manner despite the full house. The restaurant is very cozy and the menu is very broad. The service is really on point and very friendly (compliments!). The portions are very large and the food tasted excellent. If you don't make it, you'll immediately be asked if you want to take the rest with you -> Great! For vegetarian guests the selection could be a little more limited. Card payment is possible, which is also great because not everywhere in town you have already arrived in the present. Full marks, clear recommendation.

Super delicious food Nice service

We sat there for about 30 minutes and no one served us until then. At some point I asked if we could please order something. The answer was that it would take some time. My question is whether it is possible to wait 30 minutes without even being offered a drink. The answer: “Yes, you can see that it is possible.” I have never been treated so rudely. We also saw that other guests were treated rudely. “No special requests, it's full here today!!!” Overall, a correspondingly hectic and terrible atmosphere. Far too few and at the same time overwhelmed and cheeky staff.

We stopped in spontaneously without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a seat. Extremely friendly service and we hadn't eaten so well in a long time! Due to the influx of guests who enter the restaurant every minute, you have to wait a little longer for service, but they make up for it with their great manner. We really liked it. Thanks

We were there for dinner. It was very busy, we had reserved and registered early. Everything was made possible. The inn was full to the brim, all the adjoining rooms and also the outside area. We were greeted warmly, got drinks quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive. We really enjoyed the food. In between, a stack of plates fell over, but that too was dealt with confidently. As a guest, we never had the feeling that it was too stressful. This sounds more hectic than it felt. Not the cheapest meal in the region in terms of price, but absolutely worth the money. Absolutely recommended.

As others have already written, the first bad impression upon arrival is not deceptive. The poor service, expressed by unfriendly service and a 20-minute delay in serving the dishes for three people, is one thing, the hard-dried egg on the salad and the cold frozen vegetables (!) with the boiled beef is another. It's better to cook at home and grab a snack from the nice lady at mini golf. Absolutely not recommended.

We ate delicious food on two evenings and were served very nicely and courteously despite the hut being full. A big compliment to the whole team!

The food is really extremely tasty and the portions are very good. We had the venison goulash and the crusty roast. Can highly recommend both. The drink prices are quite high and the staff could be a bit warmer and try not to seem rushed all the time, even though I know the job is stressful.

Unfortunately the waitress was very stressed during dinner. There was no one to be seated without a reservation and it took 40 minutes just to order. The food came quicker than the order. The food was too salty and when I told them they didn't take my feedback seriously and just said this was the best food in the restaurant. How poor they are.

A typical German restaurant in its own right, with ultra-fast service and generous dishes. It’s very good and the restaurant is worth the detour. A little difficult to make yourself understood and it is necessary to book. This does not detract from the charm and quality of the establishment.

I waited an hour for my food to find out that they no longer had the dish. Then they tried to persuade me to order something else. Nice atmosphere, but temporary help is missing. I waited very long to be waited on and then even longer for my meal never to arrive. After an hour in total, I was finally told that they had run out. The server then pressured me to order something different, which at that point I was not interested in doing. I was extremely hungry by now and it was already late. The atmosphere was nice, but they are clearly understaffed for such a volume of tourists.

Unfortunately the waitress was absolutely unfriendly and arrogant. After we were grumpily assigned a table after a long wait despite having a reservation, we were constantly ignored. Even a polite inquiry after some time did not cause her to at least notice us or take the drinks. After a long and unsuccessful wait, we decided to go again. We have rarely felt such an unfriendly and cold atmosphere in a restaurant.

Stopped in with my family incl 2 and 6 year old without a reservation… service excellent as was the food. Leberknoedel zuppe along w schnitzel and pork …. + salad …. All was wonderful

We had dinner here. The restaurant is traditionally and comfortably furnished. The staff was friendly. Nevertheless, she wrote down the right dish (it was on the receipt), but brought the wrong thing twice. The second time we didn't want to say anything else so as not to make the situation uncomfortable. That food tasted good. We once had two different types of meat with sauce and a potato dumpling and once we had (actually tomato) spaetzle. The meat was good, but was swimming in the sauce. Opinions are probably divided here (it has to swim in sauce or it's better to portion the sauce and add it yourself if necessary). It was too much sauce for me anyway. The spaetzle was also good. However, there were many pieces of fried onion that were too hard and unchewable. The dessert - apple fritters with vanilla sauce - was very tasty. Even though it is a traditional restaurant with good home-style cuisine and probably wants to present it that way to the outside world, it is a shame that vegetarians have little choice here. We paid around 54 euros for both dishes including dessert and two beers. This is an absolutely fair price.

Spontaneously got a place for two even though almost everything was fully booked due to reservations, very nice, the food was served quickly and was very, very tasty. We once had the crusty roast with dumplings and white cabbage salad and once the, I think, 'farmer's feast' consisting of 3 meat variations, sauerkraut and potatoes. Price under €20 per dish is absolutely unbeatable given the quality and quantity. We can only recommend the Spatzenhäus'l and will definitely come back at the next opportunity :)

Wonderful food. Everyone was above average satisfied. Beer a little lacquered. Service was only for two people. Extremely capable, but at least one person too few.

Incredibly delicious food. We've been eating there at least twice while on vacation for 7 years. You definitely have to reserve in advance. Food usually comes very quickly and is just super delicious. The shop is run by 2 waitresses, super nice and try to respond to all requests. We like to come back every year 😊

No chance to sit outside without a reservation. This makes eating very restless and uncomfortable. Service quick and nice. The food itself is nothing special. The salad is drowned in liquid something and dressing. There are many other places where you can eat much better.

A very nice, rustic inn with typical Bavarian dishes. Everything was very tasty and the spaetzle seemed homemade. The portions were also really big. The waitress was alone and was visibly stressed. Nevertheless, she mastered everything brilliantly and was still able to give everyone a smile and was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Fairly - The staff are far too busy. Flying around and creating a stressful atmosphere in the room. It also makes many guests shake their heads at the staff. The food is OK, really a lot on the plate.

We went there with my husband and ask for a table ,the women waitress just told us there is no table outside and she is not friendly,the people who sitting there stared us like we are aliens.The atmosphere was very strict and unfriendly and bothering.If you are not German you shouldn’t go

Get a place quickly with 2 people without reservation! The waitresses are very friendly, attentive and accommodating! The food is very tasty and beautifully traditional! The furnishings are beautifully rustic Bavarian and therefore very comfortable! Can only be recommended!

Great restaurant, great atmosphere. We had Tomato Käs Spatzen and Wiener Schnitzel with fries. Wow what portions. If you've had a good lunch, you'll find it difficult to manage the really generous portions. Thanks again to Monika and Renate who served us, very nice ladies. Dead mosquito in the salad! Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service was convincing. We order cheese spaetzl and a Jägerschnitzel. Both with a side salad. Drinks came quickly. The red wine glass was touched on the stomach and now had marks from the waitress. The food arrived at a delayed time (for two people) and was carried so that the waitress's fingers were almost stuck in the cheese spaetzle. When both meals finally arrived, both dishes initially tasted good. When I had already eaten half of the salad, a dead mosquito appeared. Unfortunately, it's so far down that it can be assumed that the mosquito didn't just "fall" in there. Unfortunately, the reaction of the service staff was not appropriate. After I gave the salad back (especially at the counter so that the neighboring tables wouldn't notice), it was pointed out that they don't charge for the salad. Which from my point of view is absolutely self-evident. The service gave the impression that it was very accommodating. We lost our appetite and didn't finish our food. There was no response to that either. I worked in service for years and found the service to be very irregular and hygienically questionable. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Typical Bavarian food. I'm not necessarily a fan of home cooking, but the food was really tasty. The service is very friendly, even though they are really busy. It is important to reserve seats, the store is full to capacity.

We had dinner there with 5 people in the evening, despite no reservation we got a seat, the service was very friendly, even though there were only two people and the restaurant was quite full. The food also came quite quickly. I ordered Jäger Schnitzel as shown in the picture...which was very good. The ambience was also very nice. I would be happy to come back.

When we were greeted we had a strange impression. But we were hoping for a little more from the food. I ordered mince with sauce and spaetzle. Unfortunately, that didn't live up to expectations. In the hack I had to put several hard parts back on the plate. The sauce was just a flour mush. Unfortunately not recommended.

Rarely have I seen such a beautiful restaurant. It was packed, but the waitresses worked very well hand in hand and there were no long waiting times. The food was excellent and good Bavarian cuisine was finally offered. My meal in the photo is not completely complete, I couldn't wait and have already snacked on a small sausage. We immediately reserved a table again for the next few days. You can simply feel comfortable here.

Decided to do so at short notice. Unfortunately, that's exactly why we were seated at a table where two others were already sitting. Then the two waitresses are both very friendly... but one runs around like a cat at speed (forgets quite a lot) and the other is more of a sleeping pill brand. The food was tasty but there was only meat through it. The schnitzel was well done and therefore more of a shoe sole and the piece of pork was also cooked through but was better to eat. Parking is also a disaster. 5 parking spaces in front of the door, the rest has to be seen. It was okay, it doesn't have to happen again

We went there for dinner twice during our vacation. The first time without a reservation... The boss Moni had everything under control and we got a table. The second time we made a reservation by phone in the afternoon. Despite the full house... moni keeps an overview and always stays nice and in a good mood. The food is indescribably delicious and the service is excellent. I had a steak, it was nice and crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. In terms of taste, the beef was massaged with a lot of love before being slaughtered and prepared.

What a team! How 2 top women in service running the place! I estimate 80 seats inside, 40 outside. The kitchen in top form. Every new guest receives immediate attention. Everyone works together. By the way: the quality of the food leaves nothing to be desired. Conclusion: in my long experience as a restaurateur and guest, I have not come across so much skill in a long time. Thank you very much!

Food was brought to the table with a 10 minute delay and then it didn't taste like anything. The waiters were slow and inattentive.

Simply selected based on the recessions. Food is tip top and plentiful. Operation on point and good overview. At 6:30 p.m. the Rappel store was full, but service was prompt and the food came quickly. Reservations make sense! Absolute recommendation. Knuckle and roast pork were 5 out of 5 stars. The starter was liver dumpling soup and it tasted like grandma’s… world class! Dessert was apple strudel with ice cream and what can I say…. A dream!

Very fair price/performance. A very pleasant atmosphere, especially when you can sit outside and look at the mountains. A nice and attentive service completes the whole thing. I ate there several times and was always satisfied. The portions are almost too big, but they are very tasty and the quality doesn't suffer at all!

I haven't had such good food in a long time, the food is still cooked with love and the service is very, very friendly. I would definitely recommend it and we'll definitely come back when we go on holiday here again

The chef deserves a lot of praise. The grilled knuckle and the crusty roast were delicious...the dumplings and the red cabbage were super delicious...if I were to be in Grainau again, I'll definitely stop there. The service was very nice and quick, I didn't have to wait long for the drinks and food.

Unfortunately we are not satisfied with the restaurant. The only thing that was right was the food. It is not possible to take home uneaten food, which is strange, at least these days. In the end, the waitress received a tip when paying, but unfortunately the tip had already been added to the bill, which of course she didn't inform us about. The food was good, but the service left something to be desired.
