The first vegan restaurant we tried in Munich. I can highly recommend, really good vietnamese dishes. The flavours was very good. Staff is friendly and also English speaking. You can only pay with German bank cards or with cash. Something you have take into account.

The food is incredibly good! One of the best things I've ever eaten in Munich, with a huge selection. Great cozy atmosphere and nice employees.

You cannot pay with cash or card. We had to make a friend transfer via Paypal.

Delicious vegan food and good spritzers

Guys, what do you mean by service? BEFORE I finished eating I was asked whether I wanted to order something else or whether I would pay now. I pay AFTER I finish! Even at 11 p.m. So you understand by service that the customer is not allowed to finish his meal. You already know how much appreciation you show your food and the customer in such a situation. You devalue both. Not a second time and no recommendation.

I was here recently and I have to say that I am unfortunately disappointed. The small portions and the high prices just don't mix. Although the ambience and the hype around the restaurant were promising, in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not at all good. For the price I would have expected much more - both in quantity and quality. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Can't say about dine in atmosphere because we got take out. Lunch deals are pretty reasonable (at the time of writing about 10.50) for a curry and a soup/spring roll. Onto the flavors. Pretty decent soup! Very delicious red curry as well. Lots of tofu and veg inside. The tofu was especially bomb. Will try their other menu item when I get the chance! Hot curry could be good for winter times

The taste is simply great! Despite the not-so-cheap price, it's always a pleasure to take away or sit down. You could also accept Visa/Mastercard as a payment method. Especially since many accounts now have a debit Visa, for example, where you can no longer get a Girocard as standard. It would be appropriate to allow the other cards. When there are a lot of people there it is very loud inside. If you're lucky, you'll get one of the outside seats. But since the food is simply outstanding (which is by far the most important point for me), the overall rating is still 5 stars.

Very nice, not only were we there for the first time, it's really tasty, the service is also very good and it's nice and clean and a nice atmosphere, just a bit dark but otherwise great thumbs up 👍👍👏👏

How wonderful to walk into a Vietnamese restaurant, without the need to check every meal carefully for a dead animal! Bravo! Had the midday menu. The service was good and friendly and also let us sit long after the food, without questions or looks. The food came quickly and was good, but not delicious. Both mine and the person with me, who knew the place could agree on 4/5 for the main dish. The spring role strater was a delight though.. I would come again.

The food was very tasty. A very large selection of dishes, there are many delicious starters. The waiting time for the food was also reasonable. The service was okay, not overly nice, but everything worked. The biggest drawback are the toilets. They really were an absolute disaster. It is advisable to reserve in advance. The restaurant is very large, but it was also extremely full (Sunday evening).

Very very tasty, tables could be a little bigger. But otherwise everything is perfect. We'll definitely come back.

Stunning! Vietnamese food is so delicious, it’s the best choice for vegetarian (vegetarian) meals in Munich, Germany!

The atmosphere was very, very nice! The food was incredibly tasty and we were very full. We took menu 2 for both of us. And Bahn Schoko... It's almost like star cuisine. The only drawback is that it is very, very crowded and therefore super, super loud. But we could have a good time 😃 So definitely make a reservation!

Super authentic and good food. There is a huge selection of everything, which makes it almost impossible to decide. You're not used to such a selection and you feel like you're in paradise. Portions are also quite decent and leave nothing to be desired. Any time!

It doesn't just look good, it's good

Soy Vegan is a very good restaurant that serves various Asian dishes in vegan form. There are various Asian tapas, noodle and rice dishes, as well as soups, hotpot and various desserts. Although it's relatively expensive in the evening, the lunch menu is a real bargain - you can get food and drinks here for under €15.

Very tasty food, it came quite quickly considering it was quite full. It's just a little dark inside, otherwise nicely decorated.

Update: the food continues to be adequate, but I object to the "only German credit cards accepted" policy. You're a nominally modern, hip establishment with high prices in a modern city. ------------ The place is well set up, and efficiently run, and has a nice concept. I'm not a vegan, and found several of my dishes slightly lacking. However, the experience was good, and they were trying interesting concepts, so I will probably go again and recommend you give them a try. Having read a few other reviews, I think they likely need to up their chili, herbs and spices game, and probably bring a tiny bit more salt.

Very good vegan restaurant with delicious Asian tapas and typical Asian dishes. The cocktails were also delicious. The staff is nice and accommodating. The restaurant can be easily reached by public transport via U2 Theresienstrasse or U1 Stiglmaierplatz. You should make a reservation in the evening.

There were three of us. Everyone was happy. Starters mango salad and summer rolls delicious. Main courses curry and fried flat rice noodles as well. PLV and portion sizes appropriate. We'd love to come back

I love this restaurant and I go every 2-3 months there, last time was the 1.06. With my husband, we order a mix of “tapas” that consisted in dumplings, crispy tofu, spring rolls, and more. Like always everything was delicious and we had also very fast service, even though we didn’t have a reservation this time.

I told you at the beginning what I was allergic to, it was taken into account for the drink, but it was included in the food. Absolutely irresponsible.

I absolutely love the food here! I always got perfect food. There is a star deduction. Simply because the ambience is fundamentally very nice, as it is wonderfully furnished, but unfortunately since Corona, the annoying partition walls are still there. Plus, they have compacted it and unfortunately it is now very narrow.

When I first started a few years ago, the dishes were often too spicy for me. Now I think it's perfect and we come regularly. Prices are very affordable, especially at lunchtime.

I came here on a Wednesday evening (with a reservation which is definitely recommended) The waiter couldn’t help us with additional information to decide between the many very delicious sounding meals on the menu but we still managed to make a decision:)) I recommend to try and share some of their starters as we especially enjoyed (and still think about) those. The spring rolls are definitely different to the ones you usually get at Asian/thai restaurants and really taste good! I also liked the fresh taste of the summer rolls and you can never go wrong with edamame and some dumplings. The mains we had were tasty but not outstanding. The meat alternative was kind of chewy and the non vegans were very sceptical. Overall, we did enjoy the food and would take the starters again but try other mains. Thank you to the soy team for friendly service and nice food.

Very nice restaurant, great food. The vegan Pho Chay was great. And the waitresses are all very friendly, accommodating and on the ball! I would be very happy to come back.

The atmosphere at Soy Vegan is really nice and pleasant, but the food this time was a complete disappointment. I ordered fried glass noodles with vegetables and what I was served was an inedible thick glass noodle lump or several lumps that appeared under the vegetables as a brown, soft, cardboard pile. You can't seriously serve something like that, the food was completely returned, and €17 was quickly thrown out the window. Except that I was hungry. The service was overwhelmed with complaints and just said: I should order the rice noodles next time, they would be better. They were currently testing new glass noodles and that's why it's such a pile of cardboard. Uh, well, I don't think it's going to get any better. Conclusion: I'm not going to visit Soy Vegan anymore, in my opinion it's overrated.

Soy in Munich: Vegan cuisine at the highest level. We visited the Soy restaurant in Munich and had fried summer rolls, coconut soup and vegan pho. We found Soy through HappyCow and again we weren't disappointed. This place is fantastic. The food was delicious and if we lived nearby we would definitely be here more often. Absolutely recommended. We can't understand the reports about small portions, the food was of sufficient size.

Food & drinks were excellent. We didn't have to wait long for the food. Due to the popularity of the restaurant there are timeslots in the evening which is a shame as the drinks were really good.

One of my favorite restaurants in Maxvorstadt. You can usually get a reservation for the same day. The food is always delicious, there are no fluctuations in quality and it's incredibly fast. I'm also a big fan of the lunch menu, you don't need a reservation

Very, very tasty food, freshly prepared, served quickly and authentic. We were warmly welcomed and given a table even though we hadn't reserved. There is a time limit, but it's completely fine without a reservation. The waitress was very friendly and even brought our dog a water bowl. The ambience is okay, it was just a bit too dark for us, but that's a matter of taste.

Absolute dream and all without animal products! Just wow! The dishes are so delicious (e.g. summer rolls or the curries), the portions are sufficient, the prices are fair. The staff friendly. Without a reservation you hardly have a chance - understandably. Any time!

Super good Asian tapas and exceptional smoothies!

The ambience is perfect for a candle-lit date night. I had the number 40 (stir fried udon noodles with veggies) and the udon noodles were cooked well. I thought the sauce was too sweet for my taste so maybe you can request it to be made spicier. I highly recommend the rosenblute tee and the erdbeere mojito.

Very chic and cozy vegan restaurant! We went here for dinner and had cocktails. All food and drinks are vegan!! The food was very tasty and there were large portions of fresh vegetables. The cocktails were really good too! The atmosphere is very cozy. Highly recommended and really great that everything is vegan!

The service was impersonal as we were served by several different people who didn't know exactly who ordered what (I was given the alcoholic cocktail in front of my round baby bump while my husband was given the Virgin cocktail). We were only able to reserve the table online for 75 minutes. With a starter, main course and dessert, it was a rather stressful and somewhat expensive event. Food was ok.

Delicious food, but rather average in taste. Plus point: there are also gluten-free dishes. Dishes for gluten-free options are recommended at the end of the menu.  According to the waitress, however, these are not completely gluten-free, the peanut sauce e.g. has gluten. I'm glad she said so, but I wonder how seriously they take gluten-free food and its labelling?

Everything is quite nice. I like the food, interior and their service, but the prices are a bit too high for the quality, especially as it is not always well cooked. The veggies were still half raw..... Food comes extremely fast, so maybe please cook it a little bit longer as it doesn't have to come to the table within 5 min... Rather take the time to prepare a well cooked, delicious, high quality food. Thanks

Delicious, high quality and fresh food. The atmosphere is great and you can eat very well here. However, it was very irritating that we didn't want to sit right at the entrance, but a little further back in the restaurant where it was quieter.

The food is delicious with big quality ingredients. Atmosphere and ambiance are good. Staff are very attentive, and not in a pushy way, but with excellent service often doing rounds without interrupting you. Reasonably priced with most mains being around 17€

Update March 2024: I was there again and the food was very good again. This time there was also enough pasta to fill you up. Together with the starter soup, I was also well full. I did have a different pasta dish this time, but I think it was just a slip-up at the time. The vegetables were also nice and juicy. The staff is friendly and courteous. I was very pleased. Old review I've been to Soy Vegan several times and, except for the last time, I've always been very satisfied. The last time, however, I was very disappointed. I ordered fried noodles with vegetables and received half raw vegetables with almost no noodles. The noodles were gone after about 20 seconds, which was just two bites with a fork. By the way, you can also see in the photo, the plate was still untouched and you can see: you can hardly see any noodles there. Yes, and after the pasta was gone, I poked around in the almost raw vegetables for half an hour and of course I didn't get full. Soup, edamame and drink were delicious.

Because of the partial separation between the tables, you have your privacy while eating, which is super awesome! The food is also great and I can highly recommend the mango shake.

The place is very nice and comfortable. The waiters are not very friendly but they are not rude either. The menu is very extensive and has varieties for all tastes (obviously all vegan). All the food we tried was good. A slight detail is that the vegetables in the soup or ramen are very large and difficult to eat. They only accept cash or EC cards. In general the experience was good.

Unfortunately even dishes which are listed to be without mushrooms (e.g., soup #2 or Udon Curry) mainly consisted of mushy mushrooms... Otherwise it was delicious! The waiter cleared the table while we were still eating, grabbing over the still partially full plate...

Fantastically beautiful restaurant, the staff can't be beaten in terms of speed, attentiveness and friendliness. But the cuisine is particularly special: balanced, to the point and as authentic and fresh as it can possibly be! We came to the 'table change' yesterday at 2030 - a top performance for the employees and of course, you wait a bit - but THEY really have it under control and my goodness, then you just wait. For that price, giving people time slots to eat and literally throwing them out is not possible. Apart from the fact that you can't start on time because they take too many reservations and you have to wait outside.

Honestly the quality of the food has gone down quite a bit. The starters were fine but none of the main courses were worth the money. Had the Udon for example, barely any vegetables / sides but completely drowned in sauce. Very sad since I really loved coming here….

Was a great experience. We had the hot pot and there was food in the pot, which made us happy, and there was also some stuff to cook ourselves. I found everything very tasty, including the broth, but of course the price was a bit more expensive. I think it would be great if there was a little more or a kind of all you can eat - that's what I initially assumed. Still, everything was good, but it could have been a little more.

A really nice place to eat some delicious vegan vietnamese dishes. I can recommend this place, I'd recommend making a reservation though, as the place is always crowded.

We were there for a dinner on Monday evening and it was almost full. We went with our dog and they offered us a table which is comfortable for the dog with a bowl of water that was really nice. And as it was a birthday dinner when I did the online reservation I noted it as birthday dinner and without mentioning it again to them they surprised us at the end with cake and singing birthday:) . Overall was very nice. Just the table are close to each other so you hear everyone and you should therefore talk loud a bit to talk to your friends.

Really good vegetarian food! Friendly staff. Completely full even on a Tuesday night, so a really popular place. A bit noisy place though
