Absolutely delicious and all vegan. A wide variety of tofu dishes, oyster mushrooms, and a fantastic seaweed salad with light green algae. Always my starter. Crème brûlée, a super delicious dessert.

The food was delicious and colorful, just like you'd expect from Asian cuisine. The portions were also large. It's a bit pricey.

Excellent service and great food

I ate here today and last Saturday, and unfortunately, I had the same experience both times: The food tastes really good. I've eaten at vegan restaurants that were better, but the food here is decent and tasty. However, the service ruins everything, and that's why my friends and I won't be eating here again. The waiters are completely inattentive, and you have to wait a very long time for your food. I also found the waiters very rude, and when I said that I had received an extra portion of rice because I had only ordered one extra portion but received two, I was simply told rudely that it was my fault. A reputable restaurant with good service would have simply removed the extra portion of rice (it only costs the restaurant a few cents anyway) and not charged for it. On top of that, it's extremely hot in the restaurant. My friends and I were sweating profusely. Unfortunately, despite the good food, I definitely cannot recommend this place. I suggest you go to other vegan restaurants or Shimai next door instead. Not only is the food excellent, but the service is too.

The food doesn't taste very good. It's not authentic. Overpriced. "No card payments accepted," but PayPal Friends and Family does...

We've been to Soy several times, and we find it to be the best vegan place in Munich. We especially dig the Bun La Lot and Bun Xa Ot. Very refreshing and rich in flavor. Would definitely recommend to anyone who looks for a vegan spot in Munich!

The food is fantastic, both in terms of taste and presentation. The drinks selection is also great! However, there are two minor drawbacks: Firstly, the portion sizes are far too small – especially considering the prices – and secondly, card payments are not accepted.

We stumbled upon this restaurant quite spontaneously and went in without any great expectations. Ambiance: The restaurant is beautifully decorated – in a dark green hue with lots of wooden accents. Everything feels elegant and inviting. Food: The menu offers a very good selection. We opted for the "Rice with Red Curry." The food was excellent! The broth was incredibly aromatic, and you could tell the ingredients were of high quality. The wait for our food was also very pleasant. Service: The service was quick, friendly, and attentive.

As a vegetarian, I was overwhelmed by the selection; normally we only have one page of vegetarian food available, but here it's the whole menu. The cocktail was incredibly potent, which is great when you want to forget your worries and problems… I'd happily recommend @soy.muenchen.

I'm absolutely thrilled with Soy Vegan! It tasted delicious and was perfectly reasonable in price. If you don't necessarily need animal products for every meal, I would recommend eating here.

The food was delicious, and I'm happy about any restaurant that offers vegetarian/vegan dishes! However, we were told upon arrival that we could only reserve the table for 90 minutes (on a Wednesday). Fifteen minutes before the end of the table, we were asked if we wanted to order anything else. When we politely declined, we were immediately told to leave, saying they needed the table. We felt slightly ripped off. The prices are quite high, it's very dark and noisy. And, well, they only accept payment via PayPal and debit card? 😅 We won't be coming back again – what a shame.

Soy Vegan is a great vegan alternative to traditional Vietnamese (a traditionally meat-heavy food culture). Most of the dishes passed the test — evoking similar flavors and tastes to traditional Vietnamese food. The curry broths are good and rich, the noodle dishes are full of sauce and vegetables.

The Soy Vegan! Not exactly cheap, but the price doesn't matter when it comes to the quality and the taste explosion that you can experience. You can turn people into vegans with this food 😂 I've been there several times now and every time the food is great and relatively quick. If you go with two people there is a menu for two at the end of the menu which is awesome. I can definitely recommend it wholeheartedly.

Edit after 4 years: We're regulars! There are occasional problems with the debit card machine and you can only pay in cash, but the food is still top-notch. Unfortunately, the very good food (4.5 stars) is let down by the somewhat lousy service. :/ Due to the pandemic, they certainly had to cut some staffing levels; otherwise, it's hard to explain how only three waiters are supposed to manage a completely packed room with outdoor dining. Besides the fact that, in my opinion, the distance between some tables is far too small, and only select tables have sneeze guards. We were also served our food first, followed by our drinks. Although there was only a difference of maybe 5-8 minutes, that's still not acceptable from a restaurant perspective. After we finished eating, I ordered a second drink (soybean spirit; VERY tasty) - but it was completely overlooked. Paying also took a long time, as the waiters were only sporadically present when the restaurant was full (during the coronavirus pandemic!), and when we communicated that we wanted to pay, they didn't tell anyone. As I said, the food was very good – the homemade spring rolls were a dream, as was the soup (we ordered a 3-course meal for two people with a rice plate). Nevertheless, the service leaves a lot of room for improvement. I'll adjust the rating if necessary on a second visit, but despite the VERY GOOD food, I can't give it more than three stars.

Love love love the restaurant. I’d tried the lunch menu a long time ago and finally came back for dinner. Massive portions and very quick to pick up the order and we got the food super fast as well. The oyster mushroom filled into the tofu was heavenly and I’ll definitely come back to try other food options. The only minus is that they only take EC cards and not Mastercards. Which is a bit weird.
