Always been very satisfied so far. The lunch menu is definitely worth the price. Large and tasty selection.

The whole store was empty, but they were thrown out after 2 hours (4 people reservation). The boss there wasn't nice either. Hit on us because he understood tea instead of ice tea, and he also served other customers instead of us, even though we were waiting there first. It's a shame because the food and prices are good...we won't be coming back.

I went with some friends. The food was good and the restaurant was really beautiful. Everything was nice until we had to pay. They told us a price and after paying it (only with cash, they don't accept cards) we realised it was more than we expected . We asked for the receipt of our lunch to check how much was everything, "there is no receipt, that is why you need to pay with cash" (they're clearly not paying taxes). We went through all our orders with them and the result was that they charged us 11€ more to the total. I asked if they included the tip without asking us first. "We have to do that for tourists and since you are speaking in English...", that was her excuse, we spoke English so they overcharged us and hoped we didn't ask for it (we were not tourists by the way). They didn't give us back our 11€ or apologised. The sushi there is good but if you go, please, demand a receipt and the prices of everything you've ordered or otherwise, they will overcharge you.

The vegan sushi was wrapped very well, it was obvious that they were expert work. The ingredients were very fresh. The service is very good, the ambience is pleasant. I recommend.

Not very welcoming to english-speaking customers, the service was slow. Waitress couldn’t help us with the menu. They explained the system of the restaurant very confusingly. Restaurant looks very pretty but the service was a lot worse than expected. The food was nice but it was ruined by overall experience. Overall the restaurant is overrated and overpriced.

Very nice service and the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious (especially the tempura sushi with eggplant). All over an amazing experience that might make you change perspective about the vegan lifestyle. For a starter, a main course and drinks you should be around 30/35€ which is a fair price for sushi.

I've been here several times now and I'm thrilled every time. Even though I'm not vegan/vegetarian, I love this restaurant. I've been here a total of 4 times now and each time I tried a different dish and I've never been disappointed! The staff is very friendly, the only thing that bothers me is that it is relatively dark in the restaurant and there are sometimes small, narrow tables, otherwise I have nothing to complain about. I'm looking forward to trying the sushi.

If you think there's only vegan sushi here, you're wrong. On the menu I recognize Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine. The udon noodles, creamy, called "Poet of the Forests" were very, very tasty. My companion's starter, "Little Island" - steamed dumplings - was delicious. The attentive, fast service from Luang did the rest. Here you can be good and eat well!

It was a wonderful evening! A special surprise was the birthday cake for my mother - a really nice gesture. The entire team was extremely friendly and a special thanks to Loan for the great service.

The most impressive fact about this vegan place located in the heart of Munich (behind Victualian Market) is its unique menu in German and English. And all of it is vegan! Two of us shared the CRISPY CRUNCH Summer rolls and steamed dumplings. Delicious!! As a main I had the GEISHA IN LOVE inside out roll (Black rice, soy tuna, red beet, rocket salad, topped with kidney bean-cococnut mash and roasted onions) and it was delicious! The GOLDEN FOO DOG tempura did not fully convince me as it was too dry for my taste but the coconut curry noodle bowl that my friend had was simply Devine! You should go there if you 1) like sushi and want to try out something different 2) love vegan/vegetarian food 3) Are a large group 4) Like cozy restaurants with sleek decor and 5) are looking for a healthy alternative to pasta, pizza & co. (Positive Side Effects: no bloating, no heavy stomach) They also offer lunch menus for 10 Euros. Simply delicious.

Such a lovely place for vegan Sushi which is very hard to come by in Munich. We had a lovely evening, the cocktails are top notch. Mr. Luan served our table and aside from sincere dish recommendations, we had a lovely conversation about travel and Japan. As a family we are going through a horrible time during which we decided to come to Secret Garden and Luan’s welcoming nature and conversation was a kindness shown to us, it helped us forget our problems for a minute . Of course , food is beautiful. Everything we ate, we really liked. Fully recommend !

We celebrated my daughter's birthday and got a great surprise (a small cake with a sparkler). The food was very tasty and the staff were extremely friendly, especially Luan! We'll definitely be back

The food was really tasty, but unfortunately the staff wasn't very friendly. I ordered two miso soups and said, 'Two miso soups, please.' However, the waiter misunderstood me and brought us another dish. That wouldn't actually be a problem - I understand that misunderstandings happen and I kindly explained to him that it was a mistake. Unfortunately he was very insistent that it was my mistake and wanted me to pay for an additional dish. He seemed quite irritated and not very forthcoming. Unfortunately, that spoiled the atmosphere a bit, which is why I only give it two stars.

This vegan Asian restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of the Viktualienmarkt. At first glance the restaurant looks quite nice, but the rooms are very cluttered and cramped. Since the tables are very close to each other, it is very difficult to have a conversation because there is a high level of noise - at the same time you can hear everything that is being said at the next table. I found the chairs in which I couldn't sit comfortably to be particularly uncomfortable. It took a long time for our order to be taken and we had to wait just as long for the food. The dishes themselves tasted good and aromatic - and were also generous in size, so that we were quite full. The service was friendly, if a bit overwhelmed.

A nice place with many vegan options! The sushi platter in a large group is recommended. Also, my personal favourite from dessert is the chocolate mousse.

Best Asian restaurant I have visited in Europe ⚠️ (I like eating Asian food and have been to many Asian restaurants) The food is simply excellent in all respects. Culinary top, very well prepared and simply tastes incomparably good! The quality of the ingredients is at the highest level! There are many dishes here that you don't get at most «standard Asian restaurants» and the creativity of the chefs is simply world class! It really is unbeatable! Grade 1* for the food! It totally suited my taste! There are also very good cocktails here! The atmosphere is very nice - the tables are particularly nice and it is very cozy! The prices are very good for the quality you get and, especially for Munich, it is moderately priced - even though it is definitely one of the best restaurants in Munich, in my opinion. I was here on November 11th last year (2024) for my birthday and had very high expectations - but: it was definitely the best birthday meal I've ever had.

I was really looking forward to trying food at this place while in Munich. The whole menu is vegan. It offers many interesting options in which even non-vegans like me would indulge.The food was very good and I loved their beverage selection, I had a mango drink that was very flavourful and refreshing. I was very suprised with prices, dishes were only around 10 euros which is a bargain for a place with this kind of ambiance in the center of Munich. The only problem was the service - we waited for a long time for the order to be taken and to be served while some of the guests who came after us were already served.

We went to Secret Garden today and were totally disappointed. We can't understand the good reviews at all. Super bad service, overwhelmed, reservation wasn't entered either...Food was subpar, sushi was dry and tasted like pumpernickel, The udon noodle dish had a huge blob of sauce and the taste was unbelievable...bad. Ambiance was very oppressive and cramped. Will not recommend it.

This was my third time there, this time to show two friends the restaurant. Food was excellent like the other times, we shared a mixture of the entire sushi selection. Desserts too. Our waiter Luan was also great. Back soon!

The two of us were at the Secret Garden on a Saturday evening. I would recommend making a reservation as the restaurant had every table occupied. We ate sushi and curry as well as noodles and a dessert. From start to finish everything was very good. The prices are high but I think they are really average these days 🤷🏽‍♀️ All in all really nice, the atmosphere is also very nice and classy. Service, toilets etc were also very accommodating. We would definitely come again☺️

Luan was absolutely amazing! The service was impeccable, the food - delicious. I stumbled upon this place while discovering the city centre. A great atmosphere for having dinner, even by yourself. If you're feeling adventurous, leave the staff to recommend you food and cocktails. They did not disappoint!

Menu is all vegan and really good. Known dishes are being given a twist. Food tastes great and is a pleasure. The atmosphere is relaxed but also stylish, a very nice combination. Will definitely visit again.

I go here once in two weeks - great place and amazing food. Luan was serving us and was super sweet and extremely helpful. Recommend the truffle udon noodles.

The lunch menu is fairly priced. Unfortunately, the sushi was too drowned in sauce for my taste. The “Secret Lemonade” with shiso (perilla leaves) as a special ingredient unfortunately tasted like a normal lime lemonade. I was really happy about a place with vegan sushi and overall I'm a bit disappointed... The waiters were nice, but it took a really long time for our drinks to arrive. It took another while before we could eat. So it's better to bring your time when you come here.

I was shocked how good the food was! I had the „good life don“. But I also tried the sushi and the other dishes. Everything tasted and looked amazing! The furniture is stylish and comfortable. Unfortunately we had to wait for over 30 minutes although we had a reservation and there was no compensation for that. So there could be an improvement in service. There is potential to open a bigger restaurant like that.

Terrrrrible service. They took ages to take our orders. Took them forever to come take our dessert order although we called them two times. They were so slow that we ended up cancelling our dessert order. For the bill payment we wanted to pay by debit card but they forced us paying by cash by looking into my wallet and saying oh you have cash!!!! They also forced us to give a tip although we really didn't want to. It's a pitty that this vegan restaurant is out for my future options as entirely vegan restaurants are not so common.

We really enjoyed the food on a busy Friday evening, but the ambience at our place was below average: wilted flowers, little space, outdated decorations with artificial plants. Unfortunately, there was also one dish that I didn't like at all. We found the selection to be manageable. We missed a notice in advance that payment could only be made in cash that evening. Unfortunately, the overall service left something to be desired. We would rather choose another restaurant in the future.

Terrible service! We had a reservation and when we arrived the table wasn’t ready for more than 30min! They were rude during the entire night, simply rude people and horrible service; the space is okish and the food ordinary.

Secret Garden's photos and image are definitely appealing - a beautifully designed website and compelling marketing that sets expectations. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the taste. The dishes tasted more like they came from a supply chain or a standard delivery service, bland and completely lacking in seasoning. The “spicy” soup in particular was anything but spicy. Overall there was just a lack of taste and authenticity. It seems like pretty packaging with no substance behind it. Lots of looks, little quality. If you're looking for good food that delivers what the image promises, you'll unfortunately be disappointed here. It's a shame, because the potential is definitely there.

Wow, what a great place. We hadn't made a reservation, we only waited a few minutes and then got a table. Incredibly friendly service. Our selection the dish change of heart and garden magic. We had barely ordered and the food was there in what felt like just a few minutes. The perfect choice for us. The ambience is fantastic. All around a perfect evening. I really enjoy coming here because the sushi is really something special, prepared with a lot of love, very well seasoned and simply delicious. Unfortunately, the service doesn't quite keep up and you wait a long time until the drinks are taken (approx. 30 minutes). If you have enough time, Secret Garden is otherwise a full recommendation.

Food was tasty but it wasn't worth the price. We paid 90 euros for 2 people and were asked to pay after 45 minutes because other customers were waiting. The service wasn't good either. Payment only possible in cash and the invoice was only given upon request. I wouldn't recommend a visit.

Service was bad!, Food 7.5/10 We booked for 3 persons at 19:30 and at 20:30 the service came to us and said that we service guy came to us, we should pay coz the other Customers are waiting for our table 🤨🤨🤨 never again!

The food was good, but the service was extremely bad and even rude: after an hour they wanted to throw us out, even though I had reserved without limit and we still wanted dessert. They reluctantly let us sit. We had to wait almost 30 minutes to be able to pay and card payment wasn't possible either. It's a real shame, but this employee definitely didn't know how to treat customers.

I was working here!! And its really terrible for a working condition! The manager is not paying employes full salary! He is paying most of the salary with cash to avoid tax! Taking 1/3 of the tips for himself! Not even minimum wage has been paid ! For holidays no exrta money not extra anything! Total for 6 days a week 13 hours a day 1600 eu and tip he is taking 1/3 terrible system! Still owe me planty of money! Dont want to give me any of my paycheck to double check!!Telling us to write note and taking cash only to avoid tax! Otherwise he not going to let us any table! Force us to take only cash no card no card other wise problem! The card machine is working just fine! Feel free too know all now! If any question.

The food is delicious. However, beware, this place is CASH ONLY, they don’t tell you that until it’s time to pay. Also, once you get your order, your waiter disappears. Good luck getting anything else. Water was almost 6 euros, is it that expensive everywhere in Munich?

great food but unfortunately terrible service and very unprofessional stuff pretending to get tipped when his service was very bad.. Got our table late, took a long time to find someone to take our order, got one meal before the other so that when the second came I was already done. Then he brought us a bottle of tap water that we had to pay anyway (understandable but he should have said it). Then when we had to pay we asked to pay separately and he took the cash from one of us and then pretended I paid cash too and I said I only had card and then he told us it’s only possible to pay with the same method.. he got a bit pissed and then we decided to pay everything by cash and we didn’t tip hip and he got very frustrated and left and after two seconds came back and threw back some coins on the table… why(?) Overall the food is really good but the stuff was very overwhelmed with the amount of people and orders…

The food was delicious but the service was so bad and disorganized that I wouldn't come again. We were a larger group and almost all ate at different times. The starters sometimes came after less than 5 minutes, with the main course or when others had already almost finished their main courses. Others only got their main courses after three quarters of an hour, while the majority had already finished eating a long time ago. When asked, it was said that hot dishes take longer than cold ones (we still had sushi and two soups open at the time...). MmN it's impossible to serve food in such a way, whether for 2 or 12 people, that eating together is not possible. In the end, the payment topped everything. The waiter added up the dishes on a separate block and didn't chop off what had already been paid for, so that in the end we still had an amount of €14.20 outstanding without us being able to be told what was still missing. We were wondering how the cash register system was supposed to work and whether something might have been booked twice. In the end we didn't feel like it anymore and wanted to pay the difference with a card, only to be cheekily told that this was only possible from €15 onwards, so we were allowed to pay MORE for an amount that was unclear to us and that the waiter still said Could be a booking error but in plain English our problem. If you want to have a nice evening, you definitely shouldn't go there, unless you want to leave the restaurant in a bad mood...
