We tried something new and weren't disappointed. Good selection of vegan dishes. The soup and bowl we chose were delicious and filling. A good experience. I can recommend it.

Ahimsa is a fairly unassuming Asian restaurant. Anyone wanting a table there (especially on weekends) should make a reservation. In fact, I received a call on the day of my reservation asking if we could come half an hour earlier (6:00 PM), because our table was only available until 8:00 PM. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible, so we didn't arrive until 6:30 PM. The menu is fairly comprehensive with a variety of dishes. From gyoza to sushi to baked banana, everything is available, and all are vegan. The drinks are also good; I highly recommend the homemade "Red Sensation" lemonade (€5.50). We tried the "Fried Calamari" (€7.50), "Fried Avocado Roll" (€13.00), "Bao Bun Trio" (€18.00), and "Udon Xao" (€16.50). The food was fantastic and truly delicious. Great flavors and vegan options. The only downside was that we had to wait a very long time, about 40 minutes, for our food due to problems in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I find the restaurant itself rather uncomfortable. It's quite small, but with plenty of tables. As a result, it's quite loud. At times, it was difficult to have a normal conversation. Additionally, there were often a few people standing in the entrance area waiting for their table, which created a rather hectic atmosphere. Overall, though, it's a good restaurant with excellent food. Perhaps it would be a good idea to come during the week when it's less busy.

We were absolutely thrilled. Even though it was completely booked, we got to our table on time. The drinks were great, including the non-alcoholic homemade lemonades (not too sweet), and the food was just right. We decided to share different dishes, which I highly recommend. The price is right, too!

The food was good, nothing exceptional but tasty. The tables are very close together. We sat in the corner, where you feel quite crammed in. The "next table" sits at the same table, separated by plexiglass. What bothered us most was the second-table system. We had a reservation for 6 p.m. and had to leave after 1.5 hours. The order was coming practically every minute to take our order, but since we still had to wait for someone, everything was delayed, so we only had a good hour to eat. Shortly before 7:30 a.m., we were kindly reminded again that the table was needed. Everything was very stressful and uncomfortable; we definitely wouldn't do it again. The service staff was very friendly, but of course, the poor things can't be blamed. The management is clearly only interested in making as much profit as possible out of an evening. Next time, we'll definitely look for another restaurant where comfort and quality are the priority, not profit and quantity. What a shame.

It's an amazing vegan place with fresh tasty food. We tried a little bit of everything - limos, an appetizer (fried calamari), sushi, a main meal (udon), and a dessert. Everything was great without exception. The waitresses were very nice too. When we are back to Munich, we will go here again. Recommended!

A charming gem tucked away from the city center's main dining arteries. The first impression is extremely pleasant: a seemingly friendly welcome, accompanied by a smile, immediately conveys the feeling of being welcomed. The initial service is attentive and unobtrusive, clearly striving to guide guests into an atmosphere of relaxed culinary delights within their 90-minute stay, entirely in keeping with the spirit of the establishment. The cuisine is convincing: creatively vegan, finely seasoned, with a sense of nuance. One feels invited to end the evening in a delightful way, perhaps with dessert and a final glass. But just at this moment, the guest is discreetly yet unmistakably informed that time has passed. The friendly request for the bill or the alternative of enjoying dessert in the cool 14-degree courtyard without the heater quickly fade the charm of the smile-filled opening sequence. Because, as much as the restaurant seems to have been concerned about the guest's well-being at the beginning, it's happy when they make room for the next person. However, they don't want to miss out on the revenue. It's not so much the time limit itself that's regrettable, but the way it's implemented. The overall concept seems almost too consistent in its consistency: fusion cuisine combined with a subtle invitation to fusion with the exit. The appetizer is too personal, the main course too unpresentable, and the dessert is completely absent.

Good food, good drinks, kind staff. We were there on a really hot day, and it was pretty warm inside, but that’s probably true of most places this size in Munich.

The atmosphere was wonderful. Beautifully hidden in the area and definitely a nice place to have a relaxed evening. However the food wasn’t as I had hoped. Starters were good but lacking salt and flavours. I had the Rahmen as a main which can be briefly summarised as plain. Unfortunately the veggies (carrots and zucchini) inside were also quite raw. Relaxed atmosphere but nothing for people who like spices.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I had a birthday dinner at Ahimsa. We had the sweetest service, the most delicious food, and the most wonderful time. From appetizers to dessert; everything was fantastic! We'd love to go again! :)

We came to Ahimsa because of the good reviews on Google – and were unfortunately disappointed. The food was very greasy and tasteless, and we were repeatedly reminded that our reservation was about to expire. The tables were far too close together, making it very noisy. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right for us. We won't be back.

The has Fried calamari, Cryspy Gyozo, Summer garden and something like Bao Bao Buns (don’t remember the exact name). The first 3 were great, highly recommend but the last one was okay. The price is a bit in the higher side.

Ah, the ahimsa! A place that not only stimulates the senses, but also makes the soul vibrate a little. You sit down at the table, surrounded by an atmosphere that immediately gives you a feeling of peace and security. The food? A dream! Every bite feels like a little hug for the taste buds. But then comes that little downer - the gentle hint that it's time to vacate the place. I mean, who wants to interrupt a great evening? It has a slightly bitter aftertaste when the friendly waitress asks you with a smile if you would like to leave slowly. Sure, you understand that the table might have to be set aside for someone else, but a little more time in Ahimsa would have been nice! Nevertheless, let's be honest: the great service, the delicious food and the enchanting ambience are so great that I just can't take the little "kicking out" badly. Maybe it's the secret of good gastronomy - you leave the place because you just felt good at that moment. And that's exactly why I like to come back to Ahimsa again and again.

All vegan, well balanced food, a great opportunity to try vegan sushi if you haven't before. The menu was also clear and helpful for my friend who is gluten-free.

Quite spontaneously and very surprisingly, five of us went to Ahimsa. We put 5 dishes in the middle and shared them - everything was absolutely delicious. Various Sushi, bowl, breaded avocado, edamame, bao bun... and everything is vegan without missing anything. Really an insider tip.

Service super friendly, facility 100%, food also really tasty, could have been a little warmer and the price was also in the upper half! But just the fact that there is another excellent vegan option in MUC makes it worth 5 stars! We'll be back :) Addition 02.2025: we still like to come by for nice service and food. But what you really have to say is that 1 1/2 hour time slot for a table is very tight and unfortunately when the room is full, conversations are hardly possible because it gets ultra loud in there.

Excellent delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. All of us were satisfied with our portion. Reservation in advance is highly recommended as it was in high demand the evening we were there.

Food (Ramen) was sadly disappointing. Service was nice but nothing special. The atmosphere was pretty nice though. Ramen are not real ramen. More like spagetti with strong veggie broth and was wayy too expensive!! Can't recommend sadly. Also reserved and especially wished for a cozy corner table but received a super uncomfy one beneath the bar. Better go to Bento Ya!

Unfortunately you only get one slot for 1 1/2 hours. We had booked longer to enjoy our girls' evening. As a result, the waitress stood at our table every 10 minutes and asked for new orders. The food, well. We had a range of starters. Avocado, some root that was offered as calamari on the menu. Both are fried, so you can't go wrong. Even a brick tastes fried. The seaweed salad was great, but not a revelation. All in all, the waitress's annoyance after further orders was the reason to spontaneously end the evening there and continue our girls' evening elsewhere.

The food was fantastic, the drinks were excellent. Unfortunately the service was subpar. After we received the main course, our table was ignored. It is therefore not possible to order a second drink or dessert. Distanced and dominant, after 40 minutes we received the order to pay. A time limit on the table is now normal, but this should still be pointed out and the menu should at least be able to be finished.

We went to Ahimsa on a Friday. We enjoyed an absolutely excellent dinner and stylish ambience. The menu is small, but still absolutely sufficient for you to be able to choose what suits you at the moment. The choice of drinks was very interesting - no run-of-the-mill creations and at the same time a few “tried and tested” things if you don't have any desire to experiment. Kombucha Spritz, for example, was really my thing - but not for my companion. He was very satisfied with exceptional Berliner-Munich beer. Unfortunately, it wasn't clear to us beforehand that a table reservation is limited to 1.5 hours and we had to vacate the table at 6:30 p.m. We were actually expecting a long evening with lots of drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. The “warning” when we entered the restaurant left us a little stressed throughout our stay and made us constantly look at the clock. I'm afraid we won't be treating ourselves to this great dining experience for our precious "child-free" date nights anymore because the stress factor was already negligible. This limitation may be mentioned when making a reservation by telephone; we reserved via Google Option and were therefore a bit confused. Too bad.

I have eaten take out food from Ahimsa several times before and was disappointed with the dinner inhouse. We were rushed to order as soon as possible. We have ordered a mix of starters and bao buhn. The food arrived cold and not tasty, the calmari was chewy and hard as a rock. At the end of the meal we were reminded that our 1,5 h is almost up, so we paid and left. I understand the need of making numbers, but the overall feeling was really unpleasant and cold ( the place was also literally cold ). Really disappointed ☹️

I've been here a few times and can really recommend the restaurant for vegan food. The gyoza have become a real craving! I always find it quite cramped in the restaurant itself, as well as outside in the summer, and therefore relatively loud. But that's just because of the location. I have always found the service to be quick and very friendly

I do enjoy occasional vegan culinary delights and this was a very good vegan Spot offering good and tasty vegan dishes. Will definitely recommend for both vegan and non-vegans.

mhhhh! The restaurant is rightly rated so well! The food is of high quality, extremely delicious (I don't necessarily eat vegan/vegetarian food myself), sufficiently portioned and the price-performance ratio is very fair for Munich. The only drawback: it was drafty and a bit fresh and the fit was quite tight.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. Main points of criticism: - too little choice of main courses - too expensive for the size of the portions (well, that's already standard in Munich) - Quality of the food: generally far too fatty; In my opinion, no fresh tofu was used, but rather these strange packaged, pre-fried tofu cubes from the Asian supermarket; The tofu certainly looked and tasted the same. - You sit quite tight. The waitresses were very friendly, but at least one waitress doesn't understand German and is simply spoken to in English, even on the phone. I studied English and that might make some people feel super cosmopolitan, but I find it strange when I have to speak a foreign language in a restaurant in my hometown. The fact that the dishes have English names is also a bit silly, especially when the German waitresses pronounce them incorrectly (“asparAgus”). The last points are just a side note, the main problem was the expensive, greasy food.

Nice restaurant in a quiet location. Unfortunately, I can't quite agree with everyone else's hype. The food was tasty, but nothing outstanding as I expected from the reviews. And definitely too expensive for a normal ramen. Service was good.

Excelent vegetarian (vegan?!) restaurant. It’s a bit hidden, but great surprise inside. It’s very pretty, small. The food is delicious, super tasty! We tried the udon and different sushi rolls, can highly recommend both.

Curry was watery, a bit too salty, Hokkaido pumpkin didn’t have much taste. - very noisy - no private space, people sit too close way too each other. - not inclusive interior design. If you a bit big person, you probably cannot walk so easily between tables. Disrespectful.. - some staff is absolutely impolite. The girl was so pissed off, when we didn’t leave tips. She just went away w/o saying goodbye .. I will not come again.

We had an appetizer and ramen and udon noodles. Unfortunately the food was very greasy and not particularly tasty. We didn't find it satisfactory for the price. The atmosphere itself is nice, but overall we wouldn't come back.

I recently dined at Ahimsa Restaurant and overall, had a positive experience. The food was delightful; we ordered mocktails, starters, noodles, and a bowl of soup, all of which were very tasty and well-prepared. While the staff was generally polite and sweet, there were moments when their presence felt a bit intrusive, which slightly disturbed our meal. However, they were well-intentioned, and this did not significantly detract from our overall dining experience. Based on the quality of the food and the courtesy of the staff, I would recommend this restaurant to others looking for a tasty meal in a friendly atmosphere.

Five stars when it comes to gas lighting… I've eaten in the restaurant before and it was delicious, but today the curry was so salty that you couldn't eat it. I usually always add a lot of salt myself because I like it spicy, but the food at Ahimsa tasted like a bucket of glutamate had been dropped into the sauce. The worst thing, however, was how I was treated on the phone when I tried to complain about the food - they tried to persuade me that maybe it was me: "Did you also eat rice with it, otherwise it's just salty?" As if I were eating my curry plain without rice. And “if you think that’s salty”… Well, you can’t expect a proper apology or polite gesture here. After I was able to convince her to make the meal again, the exact same sauce came out, just as salty as before. Then I asked for my money back. It doesn't matter if you oversalt something, but I expect that at least I won't be fooled. In any case, I won't order anything here anymore.

Overall, the food was delicious and the space in the courtyard was perfect in this weather. You sit quite close to each other, but that was fine. Big city. The avocado makis were delicious, but could have been rolled more tightly. The girlfriend's inside outs also fell apart a bit. The udon noodles (variant with mushrooms) were also very tasty, although cooked a little too soft. Overall, I can warmly recommend the food there and I would come back at any time. I'm complaining at a high level here 🙃

Small but well thought out and brilliantly good card. All the people who work here are very pleasantly relaxed and in a good mood and provide fast and friendly service. Real feel-good aura, even if it is often full and quickly gets loud, also because it is sometimes quite crowded. Absolute recommendation, I will definitely come back.

My announced second visit, this time on the terrace. Due to the location, the ventilation was great here! Like last time, the food was very good and can only be recommended! My small point of criticism, which is certainly common in other countries and is unfortunately becoming more and more common here too: Sitting on top of each other xD You could also just sit everyone down at a large table - if everyone introduced themselves, it might be comfortable, but it was a bit uncomfortable somehow!
