I do enjoy occasional vegan culinary delights and this was a very good vegan Spot offering good and tasty vegan dishes. Will definitely recommend for both vegan and non-vegans.

mhhhh! The restaurant is rightly rated so well! The food is of high quality, extremely delicious (I don't necessarily eat vegan/vegetarian food myself), sufficiently portioned and the price-performance ratio is very fair for Munich. The only drawback: it was drafty and a bit fresh and the fit was quite tight.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. Main points of criticism: - too little choice of main courses - too expensive for the size of the portions (well, that's already standard in Munich) - Quality of the food: generally far too fatty; In my opinion, no fresh tofu was used, but rather these strange packaged, pre-fried tofu cubes from the Asian supermarket; The tofu certainly looked and tasted the same. - You sit quite tight. The waitresses were very friendly, but at least one waitress doesn't understand German and is simply spoken to in English, even on the phone. I studied English and that might make some people feel super cosmopolitan, but I find it strange when I have to speak a foreign language in a restaurant in my hometown. The fact that the dishes have English names is also a bit silly, especially when the German waitresses pronounce them incorrectly (“asparAgus”). The last points are just a side note, the main problem was the expensive, greasy food.

Nice restaurant in a quiet location. Unfortunately, I can't quite agree with everyone else's hype. The food was tasty, but nothing outstanding as I expected from the reviews. And definitely too expensive for a normal ramen. Service was good.

Delicious vegan food in a super pleasant atmosphere and decor with very friendly service

Food (Ramen) was sadly disappointing. Service was nice but nothing special. The atmosphere was pretty nice though. Ramen are not real ramen. More like spagetti with strong veggie broth and was wayy too expensive!! Can't recommend sadly. Also reserved and especially wished for a cozy corner table but received a super uncomfy one unter the bar. Better go to Bento Ya!

Excelent vegetarian (vegan?!) restaurant. It’s a bit hidden, but great surprise inside. It’s very pretty, small. The food is delicious, super tasty! We tried the udon and different sushi rolls, can highly recommend both.

- food was acceptable (for my taste). Curry was watery, a bit too salty, Hokkaido pumpkin didn’t have much taste. - very noisy - no private space, people sit too close way too each other. - not inclusive interior design. If you a bit big person, you probably cannot walk so easily between tables. Disrespectful.. - some staff is absolutely impolite. The girl was so pissed off, when we didn’t leave tips. She just went away w/o saying goodbye .. I will not come again.

Unfortunately it is very, very loud in the restaurant because the tables are close together. You can also stay for a maximum of 1.5 hours and will then be politely but firmly asked to leave. We had an appetizer and ramen and udon noodles. Unfortunately the food was very greasy and not particularly tasty. We didn't find it satisfactory for the price. The atmosphere itself is nice, but overall we wouldn't come back.

I recently dined at Ahimsa Restaurant and overall, had a positive experience. The food was delightful; we ordered mocktails, starters, noodles, and a bowl of soup, all of which were very tasty and well-prepared. While the staff was generally polite and sweet, there were moments when their presence felt a bit intrusive, which slightly disturbed our meal. However, they were well-intentioned, and this did not significantly detract from our overall dining experience. Based on the quality of the food and the courtesy of the staff, I would recommend this restaurant to others looking for a tasty meal in a friendly atmosphere.

Five stars when it comes to gas lighting… I've eaten in the restaurant before and it was delicious, but today the curry was so salty that you couldn't eat it. I usually always add a lot of salt myself because I like it spicy, but the food at Ahimsa tasted like a bucket of glutamate had been dropped into the sauce. The worst thing, however, was how I was treated on the phone when I tried to complain about the food - they tried to persuade me that maybe it was me: "Did you also eat rice with it, otherwise it's just salty?" As if I were eating my curry plain without rice. And “if you think that’s salty”… Well, you can’t expect a proper apology or polite gesture here. After I was able to convince her to make the meal again, the exact same sauce came out, just as salty as before. Then I asked for my money back. It doesn't matter if you oversalt something, but I expect that at least I won't be fooled. In any case, I won't order anything here anymore.

Overall, the food was delicious and the space in the courtyard was perfect in this weather. You sit quite close to each other, but that was fine. Big city. The avocado makis were delicious, but could have been rolled more tightly. The girlfriend's inside outs also fell apart a bit. The udon noodles (variant with mushrooms) were also very tasty, although cooked a little too soft. Overall, I can warmly recommend the food there and I would come back at any time. I'm complaining at a high level here 🙃

We had a wonderful evening at Ahimsa yesterday. Every dish was incredibly delicious. We can particularly recommend the sushi, but also the crispy calamari.

Small but well thought out and brilliantly good card. All the people who work here are very pleasantly relaxed and in a good mood and provide fast and friendly service. Real feel-good aura, even if it is often full and quickly gets loud, also because it is sometimes quite crowded. Absolute recommendation, I will definitely come back.

We found the food incredibly delicious! Really one of the best curries and one of the tastiest glass noodle salads we have tried in Munich so far! In addition, fair prices for Munich and a nice atmosphere and service. Definitely recommended!

My announced second visit, this time on the terrace. Due to the location, the ventilation was great here! Like last time, the food was very good and can only be recommended! My small point of criticism, which is certainly common in other countries and is unfortunately becoming more and more common here too: Sitting on top of each other xD You could also just sit everyone down at a large table - if everyone introduced themselves, it might be comfortable, but it was a bit uncomfortable somehow!

We made a reservation very spontaneously last night. Even though the restaurant was full, we received a very warm welcome. It is often difficult to find truly inspiring vegetarian/vegan dishes in Munich. But the food at Ahimsa was to die for (we had four different dishes) and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. Absolute recommendation!

If there were ten stars, I would have given them! We spontaneously stopped by Ahimsa during our visit to Munich today. The reviews already sounded great and we just managed to get a spot on a Tuesday afternoon! the store was full!!! and rightly so! From the super nice and excellent service to the quantity and quality of the drinks and food, everything was simply top! Today where do you get told at the beginning, here you can see the menu, here is the toilet and if you want and you're not a fan of z. b. If there is coriander, we like to leave it out completely, or we can also add it to a small plate..! :) craziness! the prices are according to the city! the food is excellent! The calamari’s made from konjac root are insane! The homemade lemonades are not like in other shops, just syrup. I had coconut water with cucumber and lychee and that's exactly what I got! Coconut pieces, a lychee, lemon grass and two fresh slices of cucumber!!!!!!!! thank you for the perfect afternoon! We will come back and recommend you! Greetings from Ulm!

The best and I mean the best restaurant in this city, from service to food. There is simply not a comparison. Our waitress was fantastic kind informative and friendly. The food was second to none. This place is a hidden gem to Munich. If I could recommend a better place I wouldn’t be able to. As a Londoner I have eaten in some fantastic restaurants but I was completely taken by surprise at the standard and quality of the food that touched my lips. COME HERE IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU.

One of my favourite vegan restaurant! I had the Udon Xao and the vegan Sushi. The Yuzu Sprizz was absoluetly refreshing and not to sweet. The atmosphere very cozy. My food and drinks came quick! The service was very helpful and very friendly. I will come again 🫰🏻

Food was delicious and filling!

Food was very tasty, service was lovely. Reservations for 1.5 hours (!!!) are somewhat like a visit to the canteen, which means that the food is served very quickly. This destroys the feeling of hospitality and torpedoes relaxed conversations; you feel fobbed off, cashed in and - in a friendly way - thrown out. Also not nice: the plastic discs as separators between the tables, a relic from the Corona times.

This restaurant, which looks inconspicuous from the outside, has turned out to be a beautiful and cozy place. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and with all the delicious dishes it was very difficult to decide what to try. The choice then was maki rolls with cucumber, calamari, bao bun trio and the udon bowl. Everything was very, very tasty and can only be recommended.

Very tasty, well-seasoned and very well put together dishes. The ingredients or dishes are usually quite simple, but well prepared and harmonious. The selection of dishes seems well thought out and is not particularly large, but that is completely fine. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and rather rustic.

Very tasty Asian food, 100% vegan. Super nice team, super attentive, friendly and professional. Be sure to reserve. The “duck” surpasses every other vegan duck I have ever eaten. The ramen was a bit lacking in seasoning. Delicious natural wine, overall great selection of drinks. The three desserts are also amazing. The shop was full, very busy/noisy but not unpleasant, but the plexiglass panels between the tables bother me a little.

We ordered two dishes via a delivery service. Unfortunately, the pumpkin curry was so salty that we had to throw it away. I would have returned it to the restaurant. What a shame!

Food incredibly tasty and creative! Service also friendly. But actually we were just kicked out after exactly 2 hours. At first I thought the waitress was joking... but with a pitiful look she said we had to pay now. Although I still had some soup to go and my drink and I would definitely have ordered drinks and desserts. That just doesn't work. No matter how delicious a restaurant is, if I have to look at the clock and shovel down the food, that doesn't fulfill the purpose of a comfortable stay. After all, I don't go to a bistro where I just want to eat something quick. I want to have a nice evening with my loved ones, feel good and don't leave feeling stressed. Was really shocked when I stood in front of their door like a shed poodle. Never again.

Das Essen im Ahimsa ist wirklich sehr gut! Allerdings stört mich die nochmals verkürzte Aufenthaltsdauer von 2 auf 1,5 Stunden. Verständlicherweise aufgrund hoher Nachfrage. Die Bedienungen sind zügig und das Essen wird schnell reserviert, was grundsätzlich positiv ist. Wenn einem die Rechnung dann Pünktlich, kurz nach dem Essen hingelegt wird, fühl man sich gehetzt. Wenn man einen gemütlich, entspannten Abend mit Freunden verbringen möchte, ist das Ahimsa daher weniger empfehlenswert, daher der Abzug beim Ambiente

Tolles Restaurant in einem etwas Veganer alternativen Stil. Das Essen ist köstlich, die Udon Nudeln schmecken sehr gut, der Tofu dazu ist toll zu bereitet, das Curry ist scharf aber sehr lecker und die Kombination von Gewürzen verleihen beiden Gerichten einen Hauch von Asien. Das Sushi welches wir bestellt hatten war hervorragend zubereitet. Zudem muss man sagen, dass sich der Service stets bemüht hat, dass alles bei uns passt. Die 1L Karaffe Wasser war zwar köstlich, aber hat auch einen stolzen Preis.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Allerdings hatten wir um 18 Uhr reserviert und sind um Punkt 19.30 Uhr rausgeflogen. Das war circa 10 Minuten, nachdem wir fertig gegessen hatten. Die Gäste neben uns löffelten noch an ihrer Suppe, als es hieß, sie müssten jetzt entweder gehen oder an einen anderen Tisch umziehen. Ihnen wurden keinen fünf Minuten eingeräumt, um die Suppe am selben Tisch aufzuessen und ihre Getränke leer zu machen. Ich habe leider kein Verständnis mehr für dieses Essen in Schichten. Und wenn es denn unbedingt sein muss, finde ich, zwei Stunden sind das absolute Minimum.

Auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant mit veganen Speisen, haben wir dieses hier ausprobiert und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Die Speisen sind kreativ und gut, der Service ist ebenfalls gut. Nicht günstig, aber vermutlich normal für München. Kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen 👍🏻

Sehr leckeres Essen, ein schönes Ambiente und ein super Service. Besonders lecker sind die frittierten Avocados, die Bao Buns und das Sushi mit der frittierten Avocado. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Eine Reservierung ist sehr empfehlenswert, da es abends voll werden kann.

Was für ein wunderbares Konzept - köstliches Essen, unglaublich besonders herzlicher und liebevoller Service, tolles Ambiente ... ich bin total beseelt ! Hier stimmt alles :)

Ahimsa bietet eine extrem leckere asiatisch vegane Küche, gerade die "Ente" sucht ihresgleichen und schmeckt extrem authentisch, Wahnsinn. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, das finde ich persönlich aber nicht schlecht, so kann die Qualität gehalten und sich auf ein paar ausgewählte Gerichte konzentriert werden. Es gibt auch leckere Drinks u.a. einen Spritz mit Sake usw. Waren zum zweiten Mal dort und die Qualität hat beide Male überzeugt. Leider ist das Restaurant etwas eng und laut, aber das fällt m.E. nicht zu sehr ins Gewicht, es ist halt immer was los:)

Vorab: sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher Service und nicht zu aufdringlich wie in zu vielen anderen Lokalen. Wir hatten Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise und waren mit jedem Gang vollends zufrieden. Mein Mann, selber Koch und sehr schwer zufrieden zu stellen, hatte nichts auszusetzen. Weiter so! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren heute zum ersten und auf jeden Fall nicht zum letzten Mal hier. Vom Service bis zum Essen alles top! Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend!

The Bao buns are simply delicious... 10/10 The udon and avacode were also good. The place is always busy and definitely needs a reservation. But nevertheless a must try.
