The food is super good and the service is always quick and friendly. The ambience is very sweet. Not huge but not that small either, typical Korean sit down restaurant. Can't complain for authentic food. Every now and then, for example on a Friday evening, you have to wait in line for about 5-10 minutes if it gets really busy because you can't make a reservation. The pictures are all from different times when I was there. For vegetarians there is (almost) every dish without meat/fish etc. :) The Korean fried chicken is a huge portion with large pieces and wild potato wedges, worth the money to share. The portions for bulgogi and bibimpap are quite large for everyone who wants to share. Kimchi fried rice and kimchi jigge are portions that you can easily manage on your own (this applies to all types of jigge). I would love to come back every time. I can really recommend it ☺️

For us Koreans abroad, Soban is the best and most authentic. We often drive there just for the food (2 hour drive).

Ridiculous. There are plenty of seats there, but the waiter was just chatting with two girls. For the rest of us guests waiting in the restaurant for a table, he just kick us out and let us waiting outside the door. Basically he just did two things for the 25min I waited there: chatting with two girls and kept telling the guest to go outside and wait

Very tasty Korean cuisine and big meals too! We've eaten here several times now and, like the last few times, we weren't disappointed. I had Korean Fried Chicken and my girlfriend had soup with ribs. We can definitely recommend Soban and would be happy to come back!

It would be good if the menu were updated online. Two years ago Bibimbap Tofu was €11.50 today €17, exactly the same as with beef. Is this how you follow the vegan trend?! Ordered to take away but same price as restaurant. And then you didn't get the little miso soup that comes with it when you eat inside. Weak, weaker, Soban. There are much better Koreans in Stuttgart now.

Of all the Korean foods in Stuttgart, this one is the most Korean. If you want to eat Korean food, eat it here instead of somewhere else. But it's hot and it's only a card.

I've been to Soban Heidel Mannheim Karlsruhe and tried them all, but they were all delicious... The stud was a bit disappointing... The kimchi pork was spicy and not that tasty... There should be a menu... Chef's re-education Vite... The star rating is old. Perfect score

I was totally happy with everything! The food came quickly, looked great and was a lot. And wow it was so delicious! Really like Korea! And I thought it was really great that you got free side dishes. The restaurant was also very large, so you didn't have to wait even though it was busy. Definitely go there again!

So if you are looking for a Korean restaurant in Stuttgart then this is definitely a tip. Very good and simple Korean food. If you want it spicy, you want it spicy. Service is top. We didn't have a reservation. The waitress took great care of us so we didn't have to wait long. We'd love to come back.

Very delicious Korean food. Boneless fried chicken is superb. Everything else was authentic and very much to our liking. We will be back for more. The server did a great job, since he had to serve the entire restaurant on his own there was some downtime. The restaurant was packed with guests. He still did a very good job!

I really don't understand how this restaurant doesn't have a higher rating. This is one of the few places where you get good Korean food in Stuttgart, I've been to multiple other Korean restaurants that are nowhere near as good as Soban. You get quality Korean food for a good price and their portions are huge. Take if from this half-Korean person, if you want some good Korean food at a decent price, this should be one of your top choices.

We waited a very long time. first in front of the restaurant and then to the service. A reservation would make sense here. But be careful, every time I went there I always had stomach problems afterwards

The fried chicken is simply unbeatable

It's been a long time since I've been here again, otherwise I wasn't always completely satisfied, but the menu has been changed and I liked this visit better than usual (unfortunately there's no jjajangmyeon anymore, which I always thought was great). The ramen was tasty, although a bit spicy (but that was my mistake). The mandus come with a selection of fillings and ours with vegetables were delicious. My friend had a mixture of japchae and rice and was also satisfied. However, it was a bit on the more expensive side.

The food is delicious and the portions are definitely filling! You don't always get a seat straight away as the restaurant is busy at peak times. The service was friendly, but with two waitresses it wasn't enough. You waited a long time until someone came. And since it's an open kitchen, you can smell like food afterwards. There is no outside area.

I'm updating my review after I've visited the store many times now. The food is a 5/5 still. The service is getting better even if they still have a little difficulty. If you can't laugh at life and let your evening be ruined just because the starter comes shortly after the main course, you're out of luck. To be honest, I can't take a single 1-star review seriously. And if even Koreans prefer this store instead of others, as I've often noticed, they can't do too much wrong. Anyone who complains about taste here is just lost. Tastes differ and yours may not suit the dish you choose. We recommend the sweet chili chicken and the Bul Go Gi stew.

My wife and I wanted to spend a normal day in Stuttgart - the sun was shining, the birds were singing, everything was perfect. To top it all off, we wanted to go out for a Korean meal. But since there was a queue in front of our favorite restaurant, we were looking for an alternative and that's how we came across this restaurant. From the outside it looked good and the map was promising. But when I entered it became clear to me that a good meal wouldn't work. The staff ignored us for quite a while. The looks from the guests slowly became unpleasant. After what felt like an hour of standing, someone came up to us to say that there was no table available. However, my eyes spotted countless free tables. We were asked to wait outside. After what felt like another hour in which nothing happened, we decided to leave. For this reason one star. Not because the food was bad, we couldn't even test it. No, because the service is simply a disaster. The employees seem as if they simply don't feel like it and are being forced to do their work with a gun to their head. I also doubt her nationality. If they were really Koreans, they would show a different level of hospitality. It's better to eat somewhere else and not make your day miserable by waiting unnecessarily

Food was ok, but we wanted to take it away. We were told we had to wait 20 minutes. When we asked after 30 minutes where our food was, we had to wait another 10/15 minutes. So if you want to go quickly, this is the wrong place.

the food is decent for its price but it doesnt really compare to the authentic version regarding flavor. staff is barely available, had to wait a while until someone acknowledged us to pay. nevertheless a good place to calm your cravings :)

I was at Soban for the first time yesterday. After all the food hotspots I saw, I really wanted to try there. You definitely have to expect a waiting time if you haven't made a reservation yet. However, the big problem in the restaurant was the food and service. I opted for the classic Kimchi Jjiggae with pork belly and Mandus as a starter. When the soup was served to me, I wasn't given any cutlery. I only got this when I asked a service person there about it after about 5 minutes. Unfortunately the soup didn't taste good. I've eaten a lot of Korean food, but yesterday was unfortunately the worst experience. The soup tasted nothing more than instant ramen powder with kimchi inside. And the pork that I ordered with the soup wasn't there either. After eating took 20 minutes, after we asked the service we wanted to pay.

First we waited 30 minutes in front of the door even though there were free tables. Then sat down at an uncleaned table and was forgotten for another 20 minutes until you could order. Then the main course came before the starter. And when we wanted to pay, it took another 10 minutes even though we went to the checkout. Price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all and in our opinion it's far too expensive for what you get. What a shame! (2 people - 2 drinks, 2 main courses and a starter = 60€)

We went to Soban because another restaurant nearby was unfortunately no longer open. The chance to break out of your usual environment. The door at the entrance was the first obstacle; somehow it didn't really want to open and close. The service tried very hard to accommodate the large number of people, but this led to quite long waiting times. I had ordered tea and just assumed from the prices that I would get a small pot or loose tea. It was bagged tea, served for €4.5. That is very expensive. The portion of the food was okay, but I also had the feeling that I was paying too much for what I got. The miso soup and the kimchi were quite sour. The pickled radish was unseasoned, as were many of my vegetables, which I was supposed to mix with a sauce from a tube. The chicken, however, is by far the price that doesn't match the quantity.

So the service was okay, maybe not quite as attentive as it is in some other restaurants, but everyone was friendly and tried hard. The ambience didn't quite fit the style of the restaurant, everything was reminiscent of a Hans im Glück, it wasn't that authentic somehow. This also fits with the food and its presentation. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either and therefore just too expensive. The quantity was sufficient and all the vegetables were nice and fresh, but very lightly seasoned. Personally, I found the kimchi to be too sour. 4.50 for a tea bag that was served with a print in demand cup, that really took away from the authenticity and I found it really too expensive. The sauce from the squeeze bottle somehow didn't add to the ambience, similar to the tea. All in all, I would rate it higher if it wasn't so expensive.

Waited for more than 1 hour 30 minutes and asked where my food was, and you said sorry, it didn't work, you have to order again, please wait another 20-25 minutes, others who came after me have to do it first! I'll never go there again in my life.

We ordered 6 dishes. Food was ok: tofu as starter was sparkling what was really nice, but a bit tasteless in my opinion. Dumpling as starter were excellent. We had also the grill which was fantastic. Bimbap were ok but nothing really exciting and deopbap were not my taste (a bit tastless). We finished with Green and white tea which were also not our taste. The room itself is ok, but the door open all the time and it get cold periodically, not cool. Service was ok, ordering was difficult as many dishes were not available. They also forgot us for the bill and for the tea. And prices are honestly high when considering the room and the food taste. Not sure I can recommend it

We had to wait quite a long time for our order to be taken even though the restaurant wasn't full. This only upon request. The entire meal including drinks, appetizers and greetings from the kitchen came complete. 1 main course was missing. By the time it was noticed it was too late to reorder. The next table who came after us had his food in front of us. The food that was served was good, but the service reduces the overall rating. The service person couldn't even explain the difference between 2 similar-sounding main courses.

The food is so spicy you can feel it burn through your soul. It's tasty nevertheless.

I was in the restaurant for the second time. In fact the food was very tasty and everything was fine, but what I really don't understand is how a tea without taste can cost 6 euros. First I ordered the ginseng tea and only got warm water, no tea, nothing. Then I had to complain at the checkout and was given another glass of water and three mini tea packs with powdered tea. I used all three, but the tea tasted of nothing, not even ginger. That's why I can't give it five stars. As I said, the food was very good!

After visiting the restaurant three times, I found that the food there is very fresh and authentically prepared. The service makes every effort to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, you can't make reservations there, which is why there were often longer waiting times, especially on Fridays and weekends. Nevertheless, I like to visit Soban when I'm looking for Korean restaurants in Stuttgart.

Tem uma sopa (acho que é a 205), deliciosa! O Bimbimbap (não sei se escreve assim), também é muito bom e na minha opinião, fazendo apenas deste prato, acho ele melhor que o do Mandu (que é mais seco), você pode colocar quanto molho quiser nele.

Von den Bewertungen über das gute Essen haben wir uns blenden lassen. Das Lokal ist nur auf den ersten Blick gemütlich. Innen mit schlauchartiger Aufteilung, etwas Mensa–Charakter, bei voller Belegung sehr laut und die Rapmusik geht für ein Speiselokal gar nicht. Deko o.ä. auf dem Tischen sucht mal vergeblich, daher etwas steril. Besonders nervig: Die elektrische Schiebetüre für den Eingang steht gefühlt den ganzen Abend auf, da Gäste in dem kleinen Lokal wartend auf einen freien Tisch in der Türe stehen. Bei Minustemperaturen wie momentan ist es saukalt und man sitze ungemütlich mit dicker Jacke und Mütze im Restaurant. Die Bedienung kennt das Problem, kann aber auch nichts machen. Es fehlt ein Windfang an der Eingangstüre. Die Bedienung ist jung und nicht unfreundlich, hat aber leider keinen Überblick. Von Abräumen des Tisches (vom Vorgänger) über Speisekarten bringen bis zur weiteren Getränkenachfrage klappte wenig. In der winterlichen Kälte dann noch knapp 50 min. aufs Essen gewartet. Da rettete auch das von selbst angebotene zweite Getränk aufs Haus die Situation als kleine Entschädigung nicht. Man sitzt eng an eng an kleinen Tischen und hat kaum Privatsphäre. Den starken Essengeruch im Restaurant bringt man dann in der Bekleidung mit nach Hause. Insgesamt hat der Laden etwas den Eindruck einer Massenabfertigung. Die Preise sind in Ordnung, das Essen ist qualitativ sehr gut, die Portionen ordentlich. Der Laden war an einem Freitagabend übervoll. Ein Wunder, wie genügsam die Menschen mit schlechtem Service bei einem Restaurantbesuch sind. Wir, aber kommen ganz sicher nicht wieder.

JJamBbong Bap 짬뽕밥 I strongly recommend it 와 독일사람들 점수후해서 진짜 맛없는 식당도 4점은 넘는데.. 어쩌다 3.8을.. 부끄럽네요 좀더 노력하셔야..

In hopes of finding decent Korean food, I went here and was disappointed. The atmosphere is great and the servers really try with limited support so I commend them. Some don't know much Korean so if you speak English and Korean, don't expect total understanding but they are very kind. The issue I had, being a Korean American and living in Korea, is the food was not up to Korean standards. The dwejangjiggae was disappointing as it just didn't taste authentic. They may doctor the menu to appease German palates, but the kimchi was close to kimchi sauerkraut....which saddened my heart. Also, I noticed the ramen they use is Jin ramen the basic one. If you know Korean ramen, Shin ramen is the best or a mixed version. I really wanted to like this place but it didn't give me any tastes of home.

Essen ist sehr gut und richtig lecker. Naja, der Service :-) ist in Ordnung man muss einfach fragen wenn man was möchte und sich bemerkbar machen wenn man etwas bestellen möchte. Die Bedienung ist aber durch die Bank weg super nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Leckeres Essen, dass auch wirklich satt macht! Anfangs bekommt auch schon kleine Appetizer, mit denen man gut die Wartezeit und den Hunger überbrücken kann. Die MitarbeiterInnen sind freundlich und die Preise meiner Meinung nach fair. Gerne wieder!

Fried chicken is not worth it, it's not crispy its very hard, I couldnt bite into it without struggling to habe a bite, the lettuce they give to wrap your meat in is broken and small and theres no way you can eat that with meat, the tteokbokki portion is waaay too small, on the other side the bibimbap is good. That's all I tried, I really wanted it to be good but..it's not that good..

Leckeres Essen - wenn es denn kommt. Zur Riesenportion Hühnchen wollte ich noch Kimchi. Kam nie. Schade. Trotzdem stand es auf der Rechnung. Dafür hat es dann also doch gelangt? Miso Suppe ist einfach verrührtes Miso mit warmem Wasser. Würg. Sehr lange Wartezeiten bis sich ein Mitarbeiter mal erbarmt, an den Tisch zu kommen. Völlige Überlastung, hat mich sehr gestresst. Waren eine vierköpfige Familie, sowas tu ich meinen Kindern nicht nochmal an.

Staffs are nice and professional. The soft tofu stew was yummy as well as Dakgalbi with rice. this Korean restaurant is recommended!

한국사람에게는 음식이 짠 편이지만 그래도 괜찮아요. 맛있게 잘 먹었어요 ~ 떡만두국은 김치만두가 들어있고 떡볶이는 고추장맛이 좀 강해요. 잡채밥도 김치찌개도 짬뽕밥도 다 맛있게 먹었어요. 물론 한국이랑 비교하심 안되구요 그리고 양이 말도 안되게 많아욬ㅋ

Das Essen wurde in großen Portionen serviert und hat super geschmeckt. Doch die Bedienung war einfach nur schlecht. Der Tisch, an dem wir saßen war klebrig und die Kellnerin hatte Schwierigkeiten deutsch zu verstehen. Obwohl nicht viele Gäste da waren, brauchte sie über 10 Minuten uns die Speisekarten zu bringen, da es wichtiger war in der Küche Pause zu machen.

Das Warten lohnt sich. Leider keine Reservierung möglich, aber trotzdem super Adresse. Unbedingt mehrere Gerichte für den Tisch bestellen und teilen. Kim Chi ist sehr gut. Nicht von der etwas hemdsärmeligen Karte verunsichern lassen. Geschmack und Qualität ist super und für Stg sehr günstig. Wird auch viel von Koreanern frequentiert.

Es werden Servicekräfte gesucht, die Dame (en) vom Service taten ihr Mögliches. Essen, wie immer, sehr gut.

Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe hat, sind sehr nett bedient worden, das Essen war sehr gut, sehr große Portionen zu einem sehr angemessenen Preis trotz der zentralen Lage. Das einzige Manko ist, dass man nicht reservieren kann. Es lohnt sich früh zu kommen, denn den ganzen Abend ist eine Schlange vor dem Restaurant.

This is my favorite korean restaurant in town. The fried chicken is seriously the best in Stuttgart. I also tried some of their other dishes and they are also very delicious. The portion is big, the service is great. My only concern is that the restaurant can get a bit chilly during colder days because of the automatic door.

I liked the ambient in the restaurant. It felt like if I were really eating in Asia. The fried chicken with sweat sauce and garlic was tasty, but a little bit expensive though.

Sehr netter Service, das Essen war lecker und preislich wirklich angemessen. Parkplätze gab es auch in der Nähe. Sauber und geräumige Toilette. Wir wurden direkt in Empfang (Mittagszeit) genommen und zu einem Tisch gebracht. Wir hatten ausreichend Zeit um uns die Karte durch zu lesen und unser Essen zu besprechen und auszuwählen ohne das wir zu lange warten müssten. Das Hauptgericht war nicht richtig warm als es bei uns ankam deshalb 4 Sterne. Da nur eine Bedingung da war, drücken wir ein Auge zu. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Once being our favorite Korean restaurant in Stuttgart the quality is going down and taste is getting worse every time we go there. Sadly to say, this was our last visit. Little meat and too much vegetables all more or less overcooked, cheap ingredients for octopus, the fried rice was overly peppery and more more porridge than rice. The dishes were poorly arranged. With a black marker crossed out items on the menu completed the picture. The current rating shown is still too good, they are still benefiting from the better performance in the past.
