Kim's So Korean Food in Stuttgart

We had lunch here and thankfully we reserved a table in advance. The place is small but very busy. Food is affordable and very good! They only accept cash payment!

It was very tasty. I had the Chicken Mix/NR 57

So far it was the best Korean food in Germany. So delicious, a real taste, like in South Korea. 감사합니다.

Tastes good, cheap and big bowl

Bland food and terrible service

The food was not seasoned enough and the Asian taste was very lacking. The meat was tough and unpleasant to eat. Food came very quickly which was surprising so I think it wasn't cooked properly. I didn't think the restaurant atmosphere was that great, the restaurant felt very unkempt and it was way too expensive for what you get, I'm very disappointed. Sushi was served on a plastic plate and the chicken in the sushi looked like sausage. Bowl was far too dry and, as I said, not well seasoned. Ramen was quite acceptable but also poorly seasoned.

It's completely bare inside, the service doesn't say hello or other empty phrases, but the food is really amazing. The two of us had the hotpot and ate it for hours. Highly recommended if the ambience isn't that important to you, the food makes up for it!

The food is really good,, but the lady at the reception was angry because I didn't order much food, she was rude with me while smiley with others, and only because of that I'm not going again, but yeah food is good.

Food was delicious. In winter you can eat a soup 🍜 especially nice and warm. It was also very nice to let our two four-legged dogs in, even though it is a small restaurant. Environment is a matter of taste. I like small restaurants or snack bars like street food.

The first try with the Pork Belly makes me wanna explore more of their menu. Korean Chicken was good too.

We had dinner there yesterday. -I received a used cup with my tea that had food residue on it and it was clear that it had not been washed. So hygiene is 0. -The food and ingredients were very old, mussels and shrimp were almost spoiled so I couldn't eat. The fried chicken and the rice and everything were not up to the gastronomic standard. It's a real shame, to be honest. I used to eat there often and it tasted great and the ingredients were fresh. I won't even go there.

The restaurant is small and is located on a rather dark side street. But it's definitely worth the few steps away from the hustle and bustle of Königstrasse. The food was delicious and nice and spicy. We know it's difficult to cook squid properly, but the kitchen did an excellent job. We'll definitely come back. If you want to try it, you should definitely make a reservation because it is quite small.

It's not very well lit outside in the evening but it still has a vibe. At first we weren't served for 15 minutes even though the waiter knew we were there because he assigned us the seat, but once it started everything happened very quickly. You order by ticking the things you want on a piece of paper. I'm not an expert on Korean food and I have no idea if it's authentic, but it's definitely very, very tasty.

Food was really extremely good. First time eating squid and not chewing rubber! Everything arrived quickly and generally really recommended. It's a bit tight but I think that suits the atmosphere. The service was a bit rude.

Unassuming, dinky little restaurant thats literally in some back alley I can't weigh in if it's authentic but they served some bomb fried chicken at a pretty reasonable price. This is a restaurant run by Chinese people. This is a restaurant without traditional Korean taste. The rice is undercooked and the beef stew tastes like tteokbokki. I felt sorry for those who came without knowing.

Great food that fills you up and leaves you with some leftovers! The food is served quickly, no matter how busy the restaurant is. Unbeatable! A wide selection of food and drink (including things like rice lemonade and Korean beer)… Price-performance ratio is unbeatable! Totally nice staff. Keep it up!

On my first two visits I found the food "quite okay", but on the third time it wasn't good. The bulgogi was served with a raw egg as a topping. It's not on the menu, when asked they said it was normal. The chicken is pre-fried, gristly and extremely dry. All 3 dishes had 1/3 left over. The hosts completely ignore you, there is no trace of hospitality. No greeting, no smile, no thank you. Operation is actually not necessary here. Here you write down your order yourself on a pad. Never ask if it tasted good. All in all a below average snack bar. But quite expensive.

Authentic Korean specialties. That was very tasty!!

First of all, I didn't feel comfortable eating there. The atmosphere is... well, like a small shop in the far corner of Seoul. Not in the cleanest part of Stuttgart. But... The food is amazing. I was thrilled and will go there again to eat.

This is not Korean food anymore

The food tastes great! It might be too spicy a little for German people here. However, for Asian one, it was tasty and delivered the local Korean taste ~ I love it though! For you guys who don’t usually eat Koran food, I would recommend the Gimchi Soup (which a bit spicy, but I guess you can talk to the staff to decrease the lev of spicy).

We've been here a few times and love it. We've always had Korean BBQ. I've only tried one other dish so far and unfortunately I was a bit disappointed, it was very tasty, but relatively little, which is a shame. The price of the food there is not cheap. However, it's definitely worth it for the BBQ.

We loved the food, especially plate 37! The honey mustard chicken is also very good. We will return to try kim,s so's special chicken. The service was very friendly to us and we didn't see anyone having a bad experience :) Cash only, no card.

It was a very enjoyable meal. The boss, waiters and chefs are all very good. The food is even more delicious. I hope it will get better and better.

Food was decent, best was fried chicken with honey mustard. Jeyuk Bokkeum was good, decent level of spice. Kimbap and Bibimbap were ok, nothing special. Overall a good place to eat, if you like or craving korean food.

Everything in the restaurant is good except the waitress, she is very rude to the customers. It was really a bad experience for us.

The heat in the store is unstoppable, there is only one toilet and it is only used by the employees. There was no ramen spoon for the ramen we ordered. 😃👍

I have eaten here many times but this was the first time the waitress treated us so rudely. Her behavior and communication with guests is so terrible that it cannot be expressed in words. Our check came to 519 euros, but that's not that important. I think firstly the waiter shouldn't come every 5-10 minutes and remind the guests that they are closing soon, I think once is enough. Secondly, at 9:30pm we ordered 3 more dishes and about 5 bottles of soju and after 10 minutes the waitress had already taken away our cutlery and plates and when we said to leave it because we weren't finished yet , the waitress replied "10 more minutes"... Thirdly, shouting so loudly and addressing a guest is the same as telling them directly: "Get out of here, they are not welcome here." I hope that the boss of this wonderful restaurant will have another conversation with the employees. And he will think about whether it is worth hiring such people and paying them to kick out guests. The food was good and the service was quick with friendly workers. Since it was summer when I went, it was very hot in the eating area. An AC appeared to be running, but its effects couldn't be noticed. If you come here, make sure to have cash, as they do not accept any form of digital payment. They also close for a break in the afternoon between 1500-1700. Overall, it was a good experience, and I highly recommend.

The Deopbap Bulgogi was really, really tasty!

I would go again for take-away but wouldn't dine in because of the environment. Many of the tables are situated outside where it smelled like urine. There were also smaller-than-sesame insects (maybe bedbugs) that bit me three times while we were dining. But food-wise, it's great. I really like the cheese fried chicken. They used a delicious "snowing" cheese powder. The other food we ordered was also nice.

We always enjoy coming here to eat. Were here today at 2 p.m. and we were told that the kitchen was already closed. We drove here from Göppingen, almost an hour. Really a shame.

The big plate of barbecue tastes good, but it just looks good in photos. Fried sweet potato powder is delicious!

The food was tasty, but the service left something to be desired. One waitress was sitting at the table further away from us and was making loud video calls to many people. Something different is comfortable. There were also no new supplements, you had to pay extra. This is very untypical for Korean restaurants. A pity.

Overall the place is pretty average. The rice in the Gimbap could've been fluffier, the chicken could've been more tender, the spicy bulgogi could've been marinaded better, and the jjanjjangmen could've been a bit less sweet. I ate it, it was edible. But not really enjoyable If you're interested in really good Korean in Stuttgart, I'd recommend Do Shi Rak instead. About the same price, much much better.

I ordered chicken, but it was pink inside and had a strange smell. I also wanted to order kimbap. Telling them that you have a cucumber allergy I was told that I couldn't make it. I ordered a small bowl of rice instead of gimbap. Also, the service was very unfriendly which surprised me. Overall it was a disappointing visit. There's no next time. I have no idea why this store has such good reviews.

Some of the dishes are authentic (corn dog, kimbab, etc.) and very tasty, others don't taste so good and are quite oily. In addition, the waiters were unfortunately not very friendly. First the order was taken incorrectly. Then, in the middle of our meal, we were asked to pay and told: “Unfortunately the cash register is already closed, so please only pay in cash”. When we asked that this was not noted anywhere, nothing was answered. So my partner had to stop eating and go to the bank. Meanwhile, even though there were still customers sitting, the entire staff cleared away all the tables and chairs - 40 minutes before closing time. That was really a shame.

You order pasta with seafood and only get pasta with squid. As an explanation why so, you get the answer: unfortunately there is no seafood. Afterwards you see that another customer gets the pasta with seafood. To explain why, you get a “Lost in Translate” story. The meaning is something like this: Squid is a seafood.

Yummy! Good selection of Korean dishes with the chicken as a specialty. The other pasta and rice dishes are also tasty, but could perhaps use a little more flavor here and there. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is rather functional.

At first glance it seemed to me that this was not the place where I would like to eat, but it turned out that it was not so at all. Never judge a book by its cover. After making my order, I smoked, and before I had time to smoke a cigarette, order was already there. It was very quick and very tasty by the standards of the nearest establishments in central Stuttgart. The price was very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I really liked it, I will definitely come back.

The kimchi was great, the jjajangmyeon was fine, the kimbap was actually pretty sad. Good service, the food arrived very quickly. They have a pretty wide selection, but the quality seems to be rather different across the different dishes. Overall, it's only okay.

Very delicious Korean food and nice service

I love Korean cuisine and was in Korea last year. This restaurant was able to give me a little bit of Korea back. The taste was very close to the original “recipes” from Korea. For me, the shop itself also had the feel of a small street restaurant in Seoul. I think I'll eat here more often when I'm in town. Prices are “normal”. It could just be that you have to queue if you want to sit outside.

I advise against it! No or very bad service! At the entrance you are greeted by several garbage containers and it takes at least 15 minutes for service to arrive. I've probably been to Korea 50 times but that's far from authentic! The staff also adapted to hygiene and spoiled my appetite. Sorry, but this could be much better!

Very tasty and in my opinion authentic Korean food

Eating on a hot and humid summer day is a desperate experience. The food tastes good, but the humid environment doesn't whet my appetite.

We ordered a BBQ set, kimbap, and Korean fried chicken to share with 3 people. It was more than enough and also very tasty 😋

Pork belly looks and tastes like it’s old. Kimbap should be delicious, but don't expect it. The taste is not good compared to the price.

There were four of us there and we had a form to fill out. Ordered 1 hotpot and 1 Korean BBQ with various starters. The service, consisting of 2 very strange waiters, was underground and chaotic. We didn't think anything of it when the hotpot didn't come and ordered 2 measly rice bowls to eat with the others and bridge the waiting time. At some point we asked, they forgot the hotpot. The food itself was quite okay. Payment only in cash or Paypal! Regarding the ambience: very small and stuffy. Respect to the 2 chefs who can prepare things in such a small kitchenette!! Reachability by telephone: difficult! We tried calling the whole time, but no one answered. The two waiters were extremely overwhelmed and could hardly speak any German.

Stopped by here because of various Insta Stories. Korean BBQ and the hotpot were very good. Beer from Korea was great. Sure, the atmosphere takes some getting used to and you have to like being side by side with strangers. Definitely the spot for Korean BBQ

Not so korean food. Food taste is far from korean authentic standard. Beef and pork very tough to chew. Fried chicken looks from a frozen kaarage pack.

The restaurant is great. The food here is super delicious. We ordered the Korean BBQ and it came super quickly. It's really fun that we grill ourselves. See you next time

Although the food looks good at first, it tastes very bad. We ordered fried chicken and the chicken smelled like spoiled meat. In fact, 3 hours after we ate there, we started having severe stomach pains. The plate, spoon and chopsticks also looked dirty and we had to call the service to bring us the plate, otherwise there was nothing to eat. The price is also very high compared to other Korean restaurants nearby. Overall very poor quality and service!

On the contrary. I recommend anyone who likes Korean food to try this place. But the food didn't blow me away for a 5 star rating. The space in front of the store is currently being renovated, so there is now a construction site on site.

The Korean restaurant Kimso is a real culinary delight! Under Adam's expert guidance, the service was outstanding - friendly, attentive and always committed to making our stay unforgettable. But the real highlight was undoubtedly the food. Every bite was a taste experience in a class of its own. The diverse selection of traditional Korean dishes left nothing to be desired and delighted with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. An absolute must for lovers of Korean cuisine and for anyone looking for culinary highlights. We'll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic evening at Kimso Restaurant! Adam in service was extremely friendly and recommended some delicious dishes that tantalized our taste buds. Went there last night and it wasn't as expected. The waiters were unsympathetic/impolite (slapped the food on the table). But food was good. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it as there are definitely better restaurants.

Just avoid it as far as possible. It starts with the fact that the entire outdoor area smells acridly of urine. Then there is a queue outside where you queue - but at the end you are not allowed to order, instead you are given a pen and paper, write down what you want to eat and then you have to wait at the table, supposedly a service person is coming to " “To take the order” (i.e. pick up the slip). There is a menu outside, so you have to wait until all the customers in front of you know what they want. After 45 minutes and our order still hadn't been taken, we left in exasperation. The fact that there is no card payment was just the icing on the cake.

I ate at this place yesterday and I can say that the staff are very rude and unfriendly. It was my first time eating there and after being treated like that you hardly want to eat there anymore. I don't recommend it.

The food is affordable and good for the price. I ordered Bulgogi Bibimbap and Reis Lemonade, they taste so good! They served food faster. The only problem is the place is so small for dining, it will be crowded inside. But the food is great!!! Will come again next time!

One chicken was raw. When I said this to the waitress, she accepted it without saying a word. No replacement or the question of whether you want something else. At the end the lady said that only one was raw and insisted on the full price without apology or any other gesture. The other food was also very, very far from Mando. Therefore only one star. Overall it is also very cramped, crowded and loud. However, all the guests around us were extremely friendly 👍that was the only positive thing. I definitely advise against a visit.

In my opinion, a really tasty and authentic Korean restaurant! The prices are perfectly fine for Stuttgart conditions and the location. The food tasted great, came quickly and the service was friendly ;) I would be happy to come again!

Uncomplicated service because you simply write down the numbers yourself. Food was at the table very quickly! Tastes convincingly authentic. I had kfc and bibimpap, both tasty. Traveling without a car is recommended because there are few parking spaces and the parking garage is expensive (3.90/h)

Slightly better than Mandu. At least the bibimbap is correct and authentic. But where are my free vegetables with my meals??? Are you sure you're Korean? So make a restaurant according to Korean rules, and not according to European ones. Well, not all menu items are available; there has been no rice drink for about a month. Oh, and only the cache.

Korean fried chicken and Dimsums are extremely disappointing. Kimchi is okay.

Unfortunately the food is not good, the gyoza were really tasty, but the chicken and our main dishes were unfortunately not tasty, at least you would expect something good for the price. We actually went there because of the good Google rating, but unfortunately we were disappointed.
