The space is a bit tight, you can wait in line for a while. The flavors are very good, especially the chicken is very good.

Very crowded on a weekday afternoon, but I consider that a good sign. The food was great with a good variety on the menu - crunchy greens and yummy sauces, with just the right spice. Kimchi also was excellent and plenty. Great place if you like Korean dishes.

We found this place by chance based on reviews and it was wonderful. We were lucky and the wait for a table was only 17 minutes. The dumplings were beautiful, big juicy and the dough perfectly thin and tight. The wait for the food was about 10-12 minutes, the portions were large. We will definitely come back :)) The prices are inexpensive, for two we spent only 35 euros

Delicious, delicious!!! Absolute recommendation!!! You can't make a reservation, but you only had to wait around 15 minutes in front of the door until a place was available. The wait was absolutely worth it. Unfortunately I was too greedy and forgot to take photos. But be careful, if it says spicy, it is also spicy and is guaranteed to burn twice 😉

First of all, this is a restaurant run by Koreans! First, I went to eat soft tofu stew because I saw a Google review saying they had soft tofu stew, but the person taking my order said that soft tofu stew was a seasonal menu, so I couldn't eat it. So, I ordered bibimbap (10 euros) and 3 pieces of kimchi dumplings (4 euros), but the amount of red pepper paste in the bibimbap wasn't enough and the vegetables were so big that it was difficult to eat. It would be good to add a lot of sesame oil. However, looking at the price of tasteless bibimbap at 13 euros in restaurants operated by Asians rather than Koreans in Germany and other Eastern European cities, the price seems to be good! The kimchi dumplings were so delicious~ However, although it seems to be a very popular place, the interior of the store is narrow and the tables are close together, so the atmosphere inside is not that nice or comfortable.

It is a small korean restaurant which is very near to Stuttgart center. Unfortunately we cannot reserve but you get table on first come first serve basis. They have limited options on the menu with delicious food. And everything is at reasonable prices.

One of top Korean restaurants in Germany. Fresh dishes with reasonable prices. Definitely plan to visit again.

Fresh and delicious Korean food

For me the best Korean in Stuttgart. I've eaten here several times, tried out the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Definitely a big recommendation! However, you should bring your time as there is often a long queue outside the restaurant. There is no service, you have to bring your own food to the table. In addition, the service at the counter is inflexible and unfriendly.

Very tasty food, you should be there as soon as it opens - but there is still a long wait at the table. Otherwise excellent food - very tasty and great selection!

Never judge a book by its cover! My wife and I stood outside and had to force ourselves to go in. The outside facade is not very inviting. Man, were we glad we finally did it. Everything inside is very clean, the service is very friendly and accommodating and the food is really a culinary delight. Next time we have to go back to Olga with the children, we will come back! Absolutely recommended!

Very small cute shop where I came was very busy and I can totally understand why! The mandu is so good, really melts in your mouth, I regret that I only ordered 3. The chicken was seasoned so deliciously that I could have licked the sauce. Ordered both spicy, it was a bit too mild for me, but(!) apparently it was too spicy for a few other customers, which I was very surprised about. It's like going to an Italian restaurant and wondering why they use cheese and tomatoes will 😤 Will definitely come back when I'm in Stuttgart.

The tteokbokki was a bit sweet, but it was all delicious. There are a lot of people even at 4pm on weekdays. May you prosper!

Through the YouTube channel of "Korean-English Man" we have been interested in Korean culture for some time and really wanted to try the food from Korea. After extensive research, I discovered that there is now a larger selection of Korean restaurants in Stuttgart and the surrounding area, which is how we came to Mandu. Since you can't make reservations at Mandu, we were at the restaurant on a Saturday shortly before it opened. We were a bit shocked that there were already around 20 people standing in front of the door. Unfortunately the space in the restaurant is very limited, but luckily we still got a seat. You order at the counter, get a beeper that tells you when you can pick up your food. When ordering, the service was super friendly, even though it took a while to receive our order during peak times. The food tasted very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the Mandus and the KFC; the Bulgogi actually didn't blow me away. I actually have one thing to complain about. I understand that the staff is preparing for the rush at 12, but you should still make sure that the food stays warm. The Korean Fried Chicken and the Bulgogi dishes were just lukewarm, the kimchi was ice cold from the fridge. Still, I would say it was a great visit for my first time eating Koranic food and I look forward to trying more dishes in the future.

Good food. Kimchi-chigae is tasty and well done. They don’t put as much garlic as koreans would do, but it’s fine. Maybe in general is a bit too sweet but still fine. Positive experience. We were in 5 so to fidn sits was quite difficult. After waiting for 10 min we decided to take out our order and eat it at the hotel. Btw, rice wasn’t cooked very well, but it can happen. It had to be cooked a little bit more

This is where I had a delicious meal while traveling in Germany with my family recently. All the food was generally clean and delicious, so the kids wanted to go again and went to eat the next day. I had dumplings, bulgogi rice bowl, fried chicken, stir-fried pork, japchae, kimchi jjigae, bibimbap, and ramen. They were all delicious and I could feel that they used fresh ingredients while eating them. During my trip to Germany, I was most grateful to have a delicious and friendly Korean restaurant! If you go during lunch or dinner hours, there will be a lot of waiting so be sure to allow plenty of time. Recently, my family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at a restaurant in Germany. The food was generally clean and delicious, so much so that the kids wanted to return the next day for another meal. We had dumplings, bulgogi rice, chicken gangjeong, spicy pork, japchae, kimchi stew, bibimbap, and ramen. Everything was delicious, and we could tell that fresh ingredients were used. We are especially grateful for finding such a tasty and welcoming Korean restaurant during our trip to Germany! Be aware that there can be long waits during lunch and dinner hours, so it's best to plan accordingly.

Great spot for some authentic korean cuisine! Dishes looks simple but tastes fresh and well prepared. Prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. Ambiente is a bit cramped up, especially when the place is packed/full. Also had to wait 30min until food arrived, but we were informed by the staff before sitting down. Overall definitely worth a visit!

Super friendly staff. Fried Chicken delicious, and when requested extra extra spicy, 💣🔥🔥🥵. Top!! Long wait times to be expected, but when it's that good, order ahead. Wish that they gave more dipping sauce with the Mandu, but will give extra on request

First things first: The food was great. If you want to eat Korean food, you're in good hands here. Since the store is very popular, you may have to wait in line outside to get a seat. The big minus here is the ambience. You are sitting on a busy street and can hardly understand the person you are talking to because of the loud vehicles and especially trams. So Togo is best!

A nice little restaurant with really friendly staff. Fans of Korean food have come to the right place, there is a great selection of dishes and even drinks. Everything was delicious and the wait you had to wait was really worth it.

Urban Korean with lots of deliciousness! I have only eaten such delicious bibimbab in Korea before! The urban ambience works wonderfully with the Korean cuisine, you feel like you're in Seoul. I particularly recommend the vegetarian mandu - really fantastic in combination with the sauce. Be careful, you tend to fill your stomach a little too much :)

You can tell that everything is prepared very freshly. The employees are very courteous and nice. Through the kitchen door you can see how meticulously the employees work in the kitchen. Everything is exceptionally clean. A little too crowded in my opinion, but given the crowds in this location, that's justified. --- Update from July 2024: At lunchtime the waiting time here is extremely long. We waited over an hour for our food and stood in line for about 10 minutes beforehand. Therefore, I would avoid the restaurant at that time. I would have liked more transparency from the employees here. Roughly an indication of how long it will take. You could also warn in advance that it may take longer. The prices are still good. This time I had the ramyun, which was a little above ready-made soup level in quality. The taste is acceptable, but not a hit. I am correcting it down to 4 stars.

Really delicious, even for veggies

I've been a regular for 8 years. I only order dumpling soup. It's a shame that the signature dish, dumpling soup, is not available in the summer, but it's my favorite Korean restaurant.

Very delicious food! We had Bibimbab and it was very tasty. The menu offers quite a large selection of different dishes.

It's really tasty but all the customers simply waited 40-60 minutes for their food. Something urgently needs to be changed in the service.

The food is incredibly good and the service/cashiers are super friendly! I think it's a shame that it's relatively narrow and also relatively "cool". You should take some time at lunchtime, but that's not a negative point for me.

Incredibly good food. The waiting times are sometimes relatively long, but the food is so good that it is more than worth the wait. The fried chicken in particular is extremely tasty, very crispy and perfect sauce. The ambience is nothing extraordinary, but the simplicity makes it feel good. There is no table service but if a dish takes longer it will still be brought to the table. Been there several times and loved it every time. Price-performance ratio is also great!

Clear menu with great Korean dishes. The starters are excellent, the main courses are good. There is very little space to sit and reservations are not possible.

It's definitely worth the long queue! The food at Mandu will keep you coming back for more. The price to quantity ratio is great. And the staff speak English. :) It is a small place, and they don't take reservation, so if you're thinking of going, make sure to get there early to avoid the long wait.

The kimchi stew, japchae, and fried chicken were all delicious. Considering the price, it's the best Korean restaurant I've been to in Germany! Thanks to you, Stuttgart, where I came to see the exhibition, ended with a refreshing feeling. Thank you. I will come again next time.

I love their bibimbap as well as their delicious japchae. I often go there but never eat anything else so I can only rate those two dishes.

Small self-service Korean restaurant on Berliner Platz. Korean dishes and sets and drinks. You can also sit outside in summer. The ambience is a bit plain, but you can eat well. There are different dishes, there used to be sets too. It is very busy, especially at lunchtime.

Good if you can eat spicy food. Even at the neighboring tables, large quantities were not eaten because people found it too spicy. Unfortunately, the dishes are almost exclusively spicy. A PITY

I come here almost every week, but I'm finally leaving a review! I've been to many Korean restaurants in Europe, but this is the best!!🥹🤘 The tteokbokki is delicious too. The kimchi stew is delicious, the soft tofu stew is delicious... the fried chicken is delicious... and the bulgogi is also really delicious. (I recommend them all!) I don't often buy dumpling soup in Korea, but it's so delicious that I eat it often. If you come to Stuttgart, be sure to try it!!

We ordered and paid for our takeaway. There was no sign of our food after waiting outside in the sun for 50 minutes. Only when we inquired were we told they had simply "forgotten" about our order, despite having given us a pager. We had to wait all over again for another 15 minutes, which was all it would have taken. Food may be great, but only recommended for those who have lots of time to waste, wanted to be ignored or treated in similar ways.

A popular place for young people, so sometimes there is a queue at the entrance. Don't be surprised if your tablemates discuss rap. The food is delicious.

Mandu is my and my friends' absolute favorite bar in Stuttgart, and we always go there. The staff is super friendly, the menu has pictures of the food which makes it easier to choose, the price-performance ratio is great, and the food usually comes quickly. We have definitely tried everything on the menu and were impressed by every dish. The Kun Mandu, Jap chae, Bulgogi and the Korean fried chicken are particularly recommended. The restaurant is self-service, which I personally like, and you can't make a reservation, which means you sometimes have to wait in line. The staff is very courteous and helpful, you can also order food to take away.

The best Korean in Stuttgart! Super authentic dishes in a cozy atmosphere. The selection is very good and every dish was perfectly seasoned. The quantity was also perfect. The service also runs smoothly thanks to self-service. The Korean soft drink took some getting used to, but that's definitely a matter of taste. In general, an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to eat authentically Korean food!

So far I've only gotten food to take away, but it's always been incredibly tasty and I've received friendly service despite there being a lot of customers, mandu is just great!!

I really loved the food here. We had the vegetarian ramen and vegetable mandu with it. The staff is super friendly and the price of the food is more than fair. The restaurant was relatively full when we were there so I might come at quieter times to be sure to get a seat. Can only recommend the restaurant!

The concept is a little different than usual, as it is more reminiscent of a fast restaurant. But what counts is the food and that is definitely convincing. The fried chicken in particular is a MUST when eating at Mandu! :)

Large portion is really very big. The warm plum tea tastes very tasty. The food is tasty. For me personally the salad dressing is too sweet... but still very good. Every time I've been there there's always been a lot going on. ❤️👌

Delicious food. Not ideal with small children

We timed it well so we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is not very big, but it is nice and bright and clean. The staff were friendly, but they don't serve you at the table. We tried different dishes and were very positively surprised. The taste is simply top! We especially enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a local style where you don't look for ramen and kimchi during an overseas business trip. However, I can't help but think of soup dishes like kimchi stew and Korean-style rice bowls ^^ My colleague who came with me wanted to eat Korean food because he doesn't go on business trips abroad often and he is not used to eating abroad and it may be difficult. I looked for a Korean restaurant under the pretext of a co-worker and ended up here. When I arrived at this well-reviewed restaurant around 5:30 PM, there was a line up and it seemed like it took over 30 minutes to order. But the wait was good, and when the food came out, it actually tasted really good. The store is not fancy, but the food is exquisite, made by a Korean mother. The German-Korean owner was sincere, kind, and neat. The restaurant logo looks cute and impressive, with the chef's head holding a spoon. Most of the customers are local people. But I highly recommend it as a place worth waiting for. 🌼Menu to order: Dumplings, ramen, pork rice bowl -Dumplings: They were fried dumplings, but they had a new taste as if they were actually made. They were sweet and a little spicy, but they were very delicious. I thought it would do well selling it in Korea!! -Ramen: The soup was spicy and refreshing, the fresh green onions made it sweet, and the noodles were chewy and not soaked, which was nice. What's disappointing is that the broth was too good, but I wish there was a little more broth.👍👍 - Jeyuk deopbap: It seemed like there was a lot of meat and sauce, but it wasn't salty, spicy, sweet, or greasy... It had a very harmonious taste... I think business will be good with this one menu. 👍

For a snack, most of the ingredients were fresh - except for the chicken. It felt like it was already pre-cooked and reheated. The selection itself is clear, but offers something suitable for everyone. In addition, the location is relatively central and easily accessible on Berliner Platz and there are seats available (inside and outside) - but in a manageable number. Some prices are a bit too high for the overall package. Service = checkout, i.e. self-service applies here.

Not bad, but not up to par with the original Korean eatery. Well, what kind of lettuce and arugula are in bibimbap??? For kimchi, just paying extra should be a shame.

Quite a good Korean snack with completely acceptable prices. However, I have to admit that I don't fully understand the hype. The taste of the food is okay, but it's not a high-flyer. I was particularly disappointed with Mandus and the vegan curry.

super popular korean place. we came at around 6:30pm and there were seated & got our food by 7:10pm, honestly wasn’t too bad. we could order our food in line in advance as well. the food was good! fried chicken, boiled & fried dumplings were all enjoyable. I wished the bibimbap had meat inside but the vegetables were all fresh, wished they gave more sauce as well. the sundubujiggae was hearty, but the soup was too thick for me and portion of soup was too little.

My absolute favorite restaurant when it comes to Korean cuisine! Always good and simply original 🙂 since I've been to Korea myself, I can say, very authentic 👍🏻

The Mandu in Stuttgart is an absolutely recommended restaurant. Taste, price/performance and service are great. It's a shame that you can't make a reservation, but it makes sense because the empty seats fill up extremely quickly. The food is incredibly tasty and benefits from the small menu.

Politely asked if I could use their toilet and was turned away, even though I explained that I would be leaving in about a minute. Even though I wasn't a customer, I simply had to pee - I find such behavior really underground. I also offered money, no compromise. I definitely won't be eating here again. An alternative good Korean restaurant is 2 minutes away…

Best Korean! Rightly so, it's almost always full and waiting times are unfortunately quite long. But the food is top and the value for money is great. I have been a satisfied regular customer for a long time.

It's simply one of my favorite places in Stuttgart when it comes to Asian food. I went here for the first time when I had a date and lo and behold the food sticks together (ɲ˃ ˈ̫̮ ˂ɳ) just kidding but it simply became the first choice whenever I was in Stuttgart and I was never disappointed, especially not with the chicken, which is a clear recommendation. In the summer there was also Korean ice cream, which was also really real was delicious. If you want to go there you really have to wait a while because it is a very busy small restaurant but it is still worth it. Until now, the condition has always been a man at the checkout who is really, really nice and, despite the many people, always asks at the end if everything was okay.
