We always go to Mandu regularly because the food is always freshly prepared and tastes great. There is also a super lovely staff 😊.

I visited the Korean restaurant Mandu and was completely impressed. From a culinary point of view, it was a real highlight: I ordered a spicy curry with rice and spicy marinated meat - both excellently seasoned, freshly prepared and very authentic in taste. I was particularly impressed by the balance between spiciness and flavors. The service was also impeccable: the staff was attentive, friendly and accommodating. You felt welcome from the first moment. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and inviting - ideal for a relaxed meal. Mandu is definitely a recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Korean cuisine at a high level. I'd love to come back! Unfortunately I don't think the price is that good. 25 € is a bit expensive but still bearable because it tastes very tasty

I think it tastes really tasty and there is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes. I particularly like KIMCHIZZIGE, very tasty if you like kimchi. And you can discover many new dishes. Very friendly staff.

When visiting Korean restaurants, I often enjoy ordering Bibimbap, so I decided to order it here as well. Observing other customers, I noticed many were ordering Yangnyeom Chicken (Korean spicy fried chicken), so I was prompted to order it additionally, and the taste was quite good. Regarding the Bibimbap, the vegetables were notably fresh, providing a good texture with each bite. The overall flavor composition felt well-balanced. The accompanying Gochujang (chili paste) had a slightly sweet profile. While this might be a slight point of note for those who prefer intense spiciness, the overall balance of the dish remained good. If you are looking for delicious Korean food in Stuttgart, visiting this place could be a good option to consider.

As a Korean, looking for solid Korean food in Germany is a big challenge. However out of all of the Korean places that I’ve tried in Germany, this place is by far the best, using recipes that don’t deviate too much from the original taste and a small but great menu, providing great food consistently. I have now been to a wide variety of Korean restaurants in Germany and also in other European countries. But for me the Mandu is by far the best. My family and I have now tried almost the entire menu and are still enthusiastic, as are many acquaintances and friends who now often go to Mandu. It's not for nothing that it's almost full all the time. From our experience, there is nothing to complain about either the food, the service or the friendliness. It doesn't matter whether you eat on site or whether you have ordered it to be picked up. My personal favorites are Dak Galbi, Japchae, Kunmandu and Kimchi Jeoon. Not to mention the homemade kimchi is outstanding. I unreservedly recommend it.

I don't understand these good reviews here at all! The two of us ate there. Not worth the hype at all! We were lucky when we arrived (4pm) there was no line. So we were asked in straight away. Then a huge queue forms right outside. You think it's very popular, However, we quickly realized why there was always a long line outside. 50 minutes after ordering, the food finally arrived. - Rice with “beef” if you can even call it that - vegetarian soup - fried “spicy” chicken pieces Rice: dry, sometimes hard and lukewarm Beef: just fat, chewy, no taste and inedible Soup: Worse than a ready-made soup for 90 cents at the Asian market. The noodles are not cooked through, some are still hard and the taste is pure flavor enhancer Fried chicken: These were supposed to be spicy... but they were sweet and I thought they were already fried and just thawed! Drinks 0.2 cans for €2.50 is a cheek but still bearable The portions are really small Rice with beef €15.50 For a vegetarian “ready” soup 10€!!! Anyone who sees this food as tasty and high quality has never eaten anything really fresh! The service is = 0 There were 2 tables next to us who were also there for the first time Nobody was explained how to order or whether they would be served, let alone a QR code or a card on the tables. Only at the entrance door and at the checkout. Another minus point - Payment is made immediately after ordering, so you are forced to wait forever for your food, which you then have to fetch yourself. Since it wasn't enough, we felt really sick with a swollen stomach after the meal (we only ate a quarter of it), which is another sign of the incredibly poor quality. We definitely do not recommend this restaurant/snack bar. Better get the frozen ramen soup at Kaufland for €3.99. Don't get any stomach problems, saves money and tastes much better!

After 6 years in Stuttgart, I finally made it here. The kitchen closes at 7:30 p.m. We were there twice at 7:25 p.m. but couldn't order anything else. The third time it worked. Sat at the high tables. Even for tall people, the relationship between chair and table is not right. As a small person, I almost couldn't see my food and it was really uncomfortable. Ate fried chicken, kimchi and mandu and unfortunately I've never had a worse experience of all three dishes. We waited 20 minutes for fryer food. Chicken was totally over-seasoned and consisted of a lot of tough breading and very little meat. As if it had been sitting on display all day. I'm assuming it's purchased. Drinks are in 0.2 format, which I find to be a rip-off. At least the employees are nice.

Get there early in the evening, there is usually a small queue in front of the shop. You order and pay for food directly at the counter and then pick it up with a buzzer. Eating is a celebration! Had soup, rice, chicken and dumplings. Not a grain of rice remained. So delicious. :3

The Mandu is located on Berliner Platz in Stuttgart and is small but nice. Self-reliance applies here, which I find very pleasant because otherwise people would still be jumping back and forth between the tables in the already small restaurant. This is the second time I've eaten here and I'm very impressed with all the dishes I got here. These included mandus (dumplings) with kimchi and meat, kimchi pancakes, tteok-bokki, dakgangjung (fried chicken thighs), kimchi, and dakalbi. Compared to the food in Korea, it almost tastes like you're actually eating in Korea. It is freshly prepared and tastes simply fantastic! The staff is very friendly, accommodating and there is a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend everyone to try the restaurant to get a taste of Korean cuisine. I'll definitely be back!

I was very disappointed with my visit here. After waiting in line for a long time, I had high expectations, which unfortunately were not met. The food tasted absolutely nothing authentically Korean to me. I have tried Mandu in other cities such as Düsseldorf and Bonn, and Bonn in particular offers heavenly, traditional cuisine prepared with heart. In comparison, I really can't recommend Mandu in Stuttgart to anyone looking for traditional Korean food. A big negative was that there wasn't even kimbap on the menu when I was there. Maybe it's back now, but my experience back then was very disappointing. For the price it's just not worth it if you're expecting real Korean food. I want to emphasize: the food wasn't bad! It was tasty and the customer service was very nice, and the location was also cute. But I go out for Korean food because I want authentic Korean food, and that's exactly what I was missing here. As someone who knows what authentic Korean food tastes like and has experience with it, I felt it just wasn't authentic enough. If I want food that isn't authentically Korean, I might as well make it myself. But when I go to a Korean restaurant, I expect a real Korean taste experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't fulfilled here and that's why I can't recommend it.🙁🧡

I was here again recently. 4 years ago I always ate the same thing and this time I tried something new. The friends we were there with also ordered something that I had never tried before and was able to try it out. Everything was super fresh and so delicious. If you like spicy, you won't miss out here. We had: - TTEOK-BOKKI -KUNMANDU - CHAB-CHAE - KIMCHIZZIGE -RAMYUN - BIBIMBAB My favorite was the Chab-Chae noodles!!! They really are awesome. Mandu has a beeper system. You find the menu online, order at the counter and then get a beep. Once the food is ready (and it beeps) you pick up the food at the counter. I only gave the ambience 4 stars because there is little space and it is often full due to social media. We had to wait outside for 15 minutes, which wasn't a problem as we weren't stressed about time. However, the service staff tried to make everything possible for us and quickly organize a place for us!

Great cuisine fresh cozy place.

This is a restaurant I would have eaten at even if I were in Korea! Especially the chicken gangjeong was crispy and delicious. I visited it during my travels, and the taste reminds me of it even after coming back to Korea. It's friendly and seems to be popular with locals.

Visiting Stuttgart for the Christmas market, we found this small Korean restaurant, the food is excellent, we liked all the dishes we ordered. The staff is friendly and smiling, the prices are very affordable especially compared to to those of Korean restaurants here in France and Luxembourg.

You have to be lucky to get a table right away, otherwise you have to stand and wait. The menu is available online, ordered at the counter and drinks are available in the fridge. The seating is relatively tight, but so far everything we've eaten has been very tasty. The stomach always has to deal with the spiciness late. The staff is always very, very nice and helpful. The food is yummy. The prices are fair. The staff is nice. One thing you should consider is that the place is quite small, so it's basically impossible to get in there with more than 4 people, and anyway you might be standing in line for a while, even with fewer people. Also you need to have patience since the food takes quite long to arrive (even when the place is nearly empty)... But it's worth it :) I wish they didn't get rid of the physical menus though... Reading it on your phone isn't so convenient :( Recommend: kimchi jeon (marked as spicy, but isn't at all), tteok-bokki (careful - really spicy!), the 3 types of mandu (=dumplings), vegetarian mandukuk soup, dakgangjung (fried chicken) in soy sauce, and the warm plum tea :)

This place has a friendly staff and really good food. If you don't speak German they also speak English here too. I got the spicy fried chicken (ordered it extra spicy) and it was very satisfying. The spicy pork dish with rice is probably the best thing on the menu, delicious. Definitely get here early because the line gets very long, but it's worth the wait.

Very crowded on a weekday afternoon, but I consider that a good sign. The food was great with a good variety on the menu - crunchy greens and yummy sauces, with just the right spice. Kimchi also was excellent and plenty. Great place if you like Korean dishes.

We found this place by chance based on reviews and it was wonderful. We were lucky and the wait for a table was only 17 minutes. The dumplings were beautiful, big juicy and the dough perfectly thin and tight. The wait for the food was about 10-12 minutes, the portions were large. We will definitely come back :)) The prices are inexpensive, for two we spent only 35 euros

Delicious, delicious!!! Absolute recommendation!!! You can't make a reservation, but you only had to wait around 15 minutes in front of the door until a place was available. First of all, this is a restaurant run by Koreans! First, I went to eat soft tofu stew because I saw a Google review saying they had soft tofu stew, but the person taking my order said that soft tofu stew was a seasonal menu, so I couldn't eat it. So, I ordered bibimbap (10 euros) and 3 pieces of kimchi dumplings (4 euros), but the amount of red pepper paste in the bibimbap wasn't enough and the vegetables were so big that it was difficult to eat. It would be good to add a lot of sesame oil. However, looking at the price of tasteless bibimbap at 13 euros in restaurants operated by Asians rather than Koreans in Germany and other Eastern European cities, the price seems to be good! The kimchi dumplings were so delicious~ However, although it seems to be a very popular place, the interior of the store is narrow and the tables are close together, so the atmosphere inside is not that nice or comfortable.

It is a small korean restaurant which is very near to Stuttgart center. Unfortunately we cannot reserve but you get table on first come first serve basis. They have limited options on the menu with delicious food. And everything is at reasonable prices.

For me the best Korean in Stuttgart. I've eaten here several times, tried out the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Definitely a big recommendation! However, you should bring your time as there is often a long queue outside the restaurant. There is no service, you have to bring your own food to the table. In addition, the service at the counter is inflexible and unfriendly.

Never judge a book by its cover! My wife and I stood outside and had to force ourselves to go in. The outside facade is not very inviting. Man, were we glad we finally did it. Everything inside is very clean, the service is very friendly and accommodating and the food is really a culinary delight. Next time we have to go back to Olga with the children, we will come back! Very small cute shop where I came was very busy and I can totally understand why! The mandu is so good, really melts in your mouth, I regret that I only ordered 3. The chicken was seasoned so deliciously that I could have licked the sauce. Ordered both spicy, it was a bit too mild for me, but(!) apparently it was too spicy for a few other customers, which I was very surprised about. It's like going to an Italian restaurant and wondering why they use cheese and tomatoes will 😤 Will definitely come back when I'm in Stuttgart.

Through the YouTube channel of "Korean-English Man" we have been interested in Korean culture for some time and really wanted to try the food from Korea. After extensive research, I discovered that there is now a larger selection of Korean restaurants in Stuttgart and the surrounding area, which is how we came to Mandu. Since you can't make reservations at Mandu, we were at the restaurant on a Saturday shortly before it opened. We were a bit shocked that there were already around 20 people standing in front of the door. Unfortunately the space in the restaurant is very limited, but luckily we still got a seat. You order at the counter, get a beeper that tells you when you can pick up your food. When ordering, the service was super friendly, even though it took a while to receive our order during peak times. The food tasted very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the Mandus and the KFC; the Bulgogi actually didn't blow me away. I actually have one thing to complain about. I understand that the staff is preparing for the rush at 12, but you should still make sure that the food stays warm. The Korean Fried Chicken and the Bulgogi dishes were just lukewarm, the kimchi was ice cold from the fridge. Still, I would say it was a great visit for my first time eating Koranic food and I look forward to trying more dishes in the future.

Buena comida. Kimchi - chigae es sabroso y bien hecho. No ponen tanto ajo como lo harían los coreanos, pero está bien. Tal vez en general es un poco dulce pero aún así está bien. Experiencia positiva. Estábamos en 5 por lo que encontrar asientos era bastante difícil. Después de esperar 10 minutos decidimos sacar nuestro pedido y comérnoslo en el hotel. Pero el arroz no se cocinó muy bien, pero puede pasar. Había que cocinarlo un poco más.

The food was generally clean and delicious, so much so that the kids wanted to return the next day for another meal. We had dumplings, bulgogi rice, chicken gangjeong, spicy pork, japchae, kimchi stew, bibimbap, and ramen. Everything was delicious, and we could tell that fresh ingredients were used. We are especially grateful for finding such a tasty and welcoming Korean restaurant during our trip to Germany! Great spot for some authentic korean cuisine! Dishes looks simple but tastes fresh and well prepared. Prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. Ambiente is a bit cramped up, especially when the place is packed/full. Also had to wait 30min until food arrived, but we were informed by the staff before sitting down. Overall definitely worth a visit!

First things first: The food was great. If you want to eat Korean food, you're in good hands here. Since the store is very popular, you may have to wait in line outside to get a seat. The big minus here is the ambience. You are sitting on a busy street and can hardly understand the person you are talking to because of the loud vehicles and especially trams. So Togo is best!

A nice little restaurant with really friendly staff. Fans of Korean food have come to the right place, there is a great selection of dishes and even drinks. Everything was delicious and the wait you had to wait was really worth it.

Urban Korean with lots of deliciousness! I have only eaten such delicious bibimbab in Korea before! The urban ambience works wonderfully with the Korean cuisine, you feel like you're in Seoul. I particularly recommend the vegetarian mandu - really fantastic in combination with the sauce. Be careful, you tend to fill your stomach a little too much :)

You can tell that everything is prepared very freshly. The employees are very courteous and nice. Through the kitchen door you can see how meticulously the employees work in the kitchen. A little too crowded in my opinion, but given the crowds in this location, that's justified. --- Update from July 2024: At lunchtime the waiting time here is extremely long. We waited over an hour for our food and stood in line for about 10 minutes beforehand. Therefore, I would avoid the restaurant at that time. I would have liked more transparency from the employees here. Roughly an indication of how long it will take. You could also warn in advance that it may take longer. The prices are still good. This time I had the ramyun, which was a little above ready-made soup level in quality. The taste is acceptable, but not a hit. I am correcting it down to 4 stars.

Really delicious, even for veggies

I've been a regular for 8 years. I only order dumpling soup. It's a shame that the signature dish, dumpling soup, is not available in the summer, but it's my favorite Korean restaurant.

Incredibly good food. The waiting times are sometimes relatively long, but the food is so good that it is more than worth the wait. The fried chicken in particular is extremely tasty, very crispy and perfect sauce. The ambience is nothing extraordinary, but the simplicity makes it feel good. There is no table service but if a dish takes longer it will still be brought to the table. Been there several times and loved it every time. Price-performance ratio is also great!
