Smashup! Burger in Aachen

It was super tasty there. Almost ran past😄 We then thought we could eat a little something. Pulled pork with fries, only €9 but so filling. Don't miss this.

We were with you this week. Interesting ambience, you have to like pink. Unfortunately, the great burger is not well captured in the light either, see below. The burger is also rightly great, the regular one is not cheap, but the bun and patty combination, the toppings and the sauce, are a dream. In grades: 2+ The Belgian fries were more of a 3+, no longer really warm and no longer crispy, rather hard. It's a shame. You won't find sauces on the menu at the table and there won't be any special offers either. Kind regards, we'll be back again :)

Very tasty burgers, the onion rings were also good. I don't like the pink interior so much, but that's a matter of taste and doesn't distract from the burgers, which are the main thing. We would probably have drunk more if we had been asked if we wanted more. Just as a tip. 😉

It was our first time there and we were really looking forward to some good burgers. The meat was so thin that it completely fell apart and was burned in some places. A lot of sauce was put on it so that you couldn't taste the dry meat. The onions and tomatoes were good, but that's not what you eat a burger for. In addition, the service was quite unfriendly and didn't make you feel welcome. All of this for the price is a disgrace. A little tip: instead of becoming insulting with negative comments, it's better to get some training.

Unfortunately, the food didn't convince me. The burger didn't taste quite as expected, the fries could have been a little crispier and saltier, and the drinks weren't particularly fizzy. I found the price to be quite high for the standard offered.

My daughter is Celiac and I have a gluten intolerance. We went Smashup Burger only for gluten free hamburger. And wow burger was amazing but the bread was the unbelievable soft and spongy hard to believe it is gluten free. They said they improved their gluten free bread receipt and they nailed it! My daughter enjoyed it so much. It is high recommend it.

I had an amazing experience at Smashup in Aachen! The atmosphere was vibrant and fun with a stylish pink theme that made it feel unique and inviting. I ordered the Beast Burger, Signature Burger, and the Crispy Chicken Burger, and each one was absolutely delicious. The chicken and hamburger were cooked perfectly, with great flavors that really stood out. The pulled pork was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that’s just personal preference. One interesting point: they only accept card payments, which was a relief! In Aachen, many places only accept cash, so it was nice not to worry about that. Overall, it was an outstanding meal, and I highly recommend Smashup for anyone looking for great burgers and a fun dining experience!

Went on a Friday because the store was packed so we had to wait 45 minutes for our food (which is not normal). Employees are incompetent and have no idea what they are doing. Citizens themselves are not particularly impressed. The fries taste delicious. The prices are overpriced. Overall I wouldn't go there again if I was dissatisfied

My first smashup burger! And not my last!!! Heard about this trend through several channels and really wanted to try it out. We were there very early and had the shop to ourselves for a short time. The restaurant area is very stylishly furnished and you can find the logo and the spirit of the store in many details. The waitress was very friendly and was able to answer all of our questions about Smashup. We ordered the Smashup Dirty in regular and small with fries. The burger tasted great. The meat was well seasoned and the melted cheddar in combination with onions, bacon, pickles and the great BBQ sauce was a hit. The fries were decent, but the truffle mayo wasn't my thing. I would have been better off ordering BBQ sauce with it. All in all, a very tasty meal! We'd love to come back!!!

If you like pink, the decoration is just for you. Hamburgers were delicious. The environment has its own order. The service is good, the employees are attentive and friendly.

To start off, this place looks great. Even the toilets had cute details. It's fun to be able to look around while eating. Service is 10/10. If I could give more stars I would. The waiter was very patient (our German was a bit confusing at times) and he even helped us with finding a store we where looking for. Very kind man. The burgers where great. The outside of the burger itself was crispy, yet the burger was still juicy. Their homemade sauce worked well with the sourness of the pickle. Perfect to break down the greasiness of the burger (which wasn't too greasy overall). The fries where alright, a tiny bit too crispy for my liking, but still nice. Overall I would absolutly recommend this place.

I find 5 euros for a fries absolutely outrageous. Not only is it a small fry if you compare it to all the fries in Aachen, but it is also half raw, without salt, simply inedible!!! Thick fries are OK, but not everyone can deep fry!!!! For the price I expect them to taste better than regular fries!!! That really just doesn't work at all!!! Honestly... I'm just wondering if you bought into your great reviews. Not even worth a star

Burgers were very tasty! Tasty sandwich, good sauces and tasty fries. I thought the service was a bit slower, with little attention for new drinks. I think they were busy. Brownie was not tasty... too bad, home made would be much better.

Special and best burger restaurant in Aachen!!!

We were just there with 4 people. The host loves his job, stands behind his burger creations and doesn't allow any special requests. You have to keep the announcement first. Conclusion: Absolutely right. We haven't eaten such a good citizen in Aachen for a long time. The truffle burger as a “big version” was very good, as were the other creations. We have already booked ourselves in for a larger group in two weeks. For your money you get a quality burger.

Even as a meat eater, I find the idea of ​​an equal vegan menu outstanding, groundbreaking and absolutely exemplary! The range of drinks including the exciting range of beers rounds off the topic. The burgers - to get to the main character - are great! The concept of only offering Smashup Burgers is both consistent and bold. People who only know or like “normal” burgers might be overwhelmed or disappointed. The same applies to the concept that the burgers are built very “cleanly” without a lot of frills: eyes on the essentials. This is also courageous and courage should be rewarded. Because the concept definitely doesn't harm the taste - and that should be the topic! You can taste very good meat and excellently composed sauces. Bam! In my opinion, there is still a bit of potential with the buns. These are quite dominant. The burger doesn't make any sense with 2x meat and even then there's still a lot of bread. But some people might love that too. For me personally, it's the only real weakness in the entire Smashup concept. The bottom line is an (almost) perfect burger experience in the best location in Aachen and an enrichment for the gastronomic scene here. Five stars from me for all disciplines and please keep it up.

It is very good, I was at the beginning of September at a Spanish time and it seemed empty, the food was very fast and super large, good price and the waiter was super friendly, if I return to Germany I would repeat without hesitation

Smashup Burger in Aachen is simply great! The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome straight away. The burgers are simply fantastic, and there are even vegan and gluten-free options that are just as delicious as the classic versions. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger longer. In addition, the prices are absolutely fair and reasonable. I've been there three times now and will definitely be back!

Very good burgers in the heart of Aachen, right by the cathedral! If you love good burgers, Smashup is for you! a must. Chic, modern burger restaurant with a small selection of craft beer. Had the Smashup Dirty (Regular) and the Chilli Cheese Fries. Portion size is more than enough for a good meal. Burger patty grilled nice and crispy, soft burger bun, caramelized onions and delicious sauces. If I'm in Aachen again, I'll definitely come back.

The owner and his wife are extremely friendly. My standards for burgers are quite high and this burger joint far exceeded any and all expectations. They serve some of the best burgers I have had in my life. Their burgers are world-class and top notch. And, they have a separate and dedicated gluten-free process for those with Celiac Disease and gluten/wheat intolerance/allergy.

Unfortunately very mid. Had the Double Signature and was disappointed. The buns are too thick and too sweet, with the sauce and bacon dominating the taste and unfortunately not in a good way. You can't taste the meat at all and the texture of the patties was a bit rubbery. I was really looking forward to a good Smashburger, but Germany just can't do it. Don't understand the 5 star rating. Pro: The burger is big and fills you up. But at what cost!

Really, very tasty burger, tastes wonderful, it's best to order it with double meat so that the taste is really well received. If you want to eat directly on site, it's best to reserve in advance as the restaurant is very small. And for your information, you're basically sitting right in the kitchen, so the delicious burger smell stays in your clothes.

Even though I'm not really a burger fan, I was really impressed with the taste of my burger. The buns are crispy and soft at the same time and have the typical brioche taste. The beef patty tasted super fresh and was cooked at just the right point. The remaining topping (Original Spicy Burger) was very tasty. Plus, the fries are awesome 🤩 I would come again 👍

Great food, great service! At the beginning we were asked whether we wanted the vegan or meat menu. Choosing vegan, we had a good selection of burgers, all of which were only slightly different, but with different sauces they really made a difference. The vegan patties were very tasty, as was the bread! The fries were crispy and tasty, not too greasy. The sauces are great. The vegan menu also lists vegetarian sauces, but we were informed of this when ordering. We will be back!

€11 for meat and cheese? I ordered the vegan hot burger, and there was a sprinkle of toppings. The bun is huge and fluffy for nothing to be in the burger. Huge disappointment and will not be trying this again. Feels like a complete rip off and scam.

Additionally, the pricing is disproportionate to the quality offered. The venue itself is cramped and suffers from an unappealing odor.
